01 The Twins
"That's enough!"
Both twins stared at their father, fighting the impulse of killing each other.
"I've given up on you two. This is the end. I want both of you out my house before I disinherit you!"
"Father! He said my mother…!"
"Are you a kid, Adrien? Do you expect to solve all your problems by crushing them against the wall like a savage? And you, Felix!" his eyes took a serious deadly gaze, "what exactly did you say about my wife?"
"Ex-wife, honey," pointed a beautiful woman sited in the back of the room, reading some magazine and drinking some blue liquor.
"Save it for the media, Audrey. You know why we're married".
"Yeah, your lust for easy sluts," spat Felix.
Gabriel Agreste turned his head slowly and threatening.
"Tell me, what did you said about Emilie, son?" he asked calmly.
"I said you married her only because she was a submissive slut," he hissed, "you were scared of my mother's strength! You knew she wouldn't kneel and suck your…"
A loud slap reverberated all over the black marble walls of the office of their father: Adrien had punched his brother and was about to do it again.
"Enough, Adrien!"
"You talk shit about my mother again and I'll kill you!"
"Why, brother, the truth hurts much?"
"The only slut was Amelie! You yourself are the living proof of it!"
Felix lunged at Adrien furiously, shooting his fist over his face.
"I SAID ENOUGH!" Gabriel bellowed.
Both stopped immediately at their father's enraged voice. He walked back to his desk and played a video on the Mac.
It was the most recent news. The hottest news: their fight in the bar, the terrible and scandalous fight in which they, drunk and furious as they were, had revealed very loud their… complicated origins.
The video kept playing and the twins watched it both angry and ashamed.
"Say that again, you asshole!"
"Emilie was an idiotic slut!"
"It wasn't my mother's fault Amelie sneaked in father's bed like a whore!"
After that, the rest of the insults were suffocated by people's gasps of surprise. So it was done: people knew the complicated story of the twins Adrien and Felix Agreste, sons of the most famous fashion designer of France, Gabriel Agreste, and international models like their mothers. Their story was probably the most scandalous of their time: their mothers, Emilie and Amelie, were beautiful and famous models and actresses from the prestigious family Graham de Vanily. They were both in love with Gabriel Agreste, who married Emilie, but one night, presumably the wedding night, Amelie took the husband for a night and got pregnant, same month that Emilie, resulting in the Agreste twins, born with only one moth of difference, sons of Gabriel but from a different mother. A very curious case, by science and media.
Since then, the kids were both presented as Emilie's sons, even so, they knew the truth. However, their marriage didn't work and Emilie and Gabriel got divorced five years after and heartbroken, their father had recently got married again to the international model and widow to the last mayor of Paris, Audrey Bourgeois, who brought her annoying and spoiled daughter Chloe with her. The twins had been the best kept secret of the Agrestes and the Graham de Vanilys until now.
"This is outrageous," he said, "you have no idea of all the problems you've caused!".
"At least I won't have to see your faces ever again."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow and clenched his fist, stopping himself from jumping on his son.
Noticing his father's reaction, Felix feared the worst for a moment.
"I'll go live with my mother, won't I? Won't we?" he turned to see his brother, almost panicking. "You'll send us back to our mothers!" he ordered, infuriated.
"Now that you've decided to mess up the Agreste and the Graham firms' public image, you really think we'll send you with Amelie, so everyone can confirm it as soon as possible? Neither of you will see your mothers in a very long time!"
The twins felt their legs tremble in both fear and anger.
"What do you mean?" asked Adrien "you can't do that to us!"
"I can and I will, I am your legal guardian and as such I decide what's best for you"
He took two plane tickets from his desk and showed them to his sons.
"Saint Dymphna's Academy. You're going there".
What?! Saint Dymphna's Academy was the best school in Europe, located in the middle of the Norwegian forests, which was the same as in the middle of nothing and it was the most strict boarding school they had hear of, currently directed by Marianne Lenoir, a worldwide known historian and one of the greatest French agents in the second war.
Adrien frowned. His peaceful nature had been pushed too far.
"You're sending me away?!" Adrien yelled "For defending my mother? Doing your job?!"
"I'm sending both of you away. Very far away from here, until things get quiet about all this mess and you learn who you are and what you cannot do."
Felix buffed.
"Fine. Any place is better than here and once my mother gets me back…".
"Wait to see the place to say that, Felix, my dear," answered Audrey, smiling.
Audrey and her friend Angelina Rossi were the most important economic contributors to the academy, so they could very much take control whenever they wanted to, which was particularly bad for the Agreste twins.
"Gabriel, love, the charity gala is in a hour, we have to get ready."
The man rolled his eyes.
"Audrey, remember I want your annoying daughter away from my sons."
"Whatever you please, my darling. Say hello to my Chlodette for me, boys".
The twins refused to look at each other, just closed their eyes certain that their torment had just began.
Little did they know how true it was.
So Lilith's the very embodiment of evil because she wanted to ride Adam? And people supported it? That was simply not right, it was the 21th century and they still thought women should lay beneath men?
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng, would you mind telling us what keeps you so far from class?"
A black haired girl raised her ocean blue eyes up to look to the nun in front of her and frowned. Of course she would say what she was thinking.
"Yes, sister Maria, I was wondering how people can still see Lilith as an evil being when all she did was refuse to lay beneath Adam? How's that wrong?"
"Yeah," said Kim, a rather dumb classmate, "like, he got all paddy cause she wanted to be on top? That doesn't even make sense, I mean, I wouldn't mind if my girl wanted to ride me".
"Don't you need a girlfriend to say that?" mocked Chloe Bourgeois, daughter of one the very-much-owners of the school, Audrey Bourgeois.
"Who said anything about girlfriends? I'm fine with just girl."
"Right, you'd be fine with a monkey."
"Guess you're right, I had a crush on you on third grade."
Everybody burst out laughing. The nun waited until everyone was in calm.
"Are you all done? Kim and Chloe, you'll come to my office at eight o'clock".
"We'll see what my mom thinks about that," said Chloe.
"Of course, once you're done with you punishment. Now, good question, Marinette, can anybody answer it? What do you think?"
Another friend of Marinette's, Lila Rossi, daughter of the other very-much-owners, the Italian diplomatic Angelina Rossi, spoke:
"I think she isn't the embodiment of evil because she wanted to be on top of Adam, but because she defied God."
Seriously?!
"Yeah," said Marinette turning her body around to see her, "but it wasn't God who she stood up against -it was Adam, and when he refused to be beneath her, she decided to leave. God didn't kick her out like Eve. And even so, why would God had anything to say about their sexual life?"
"Duh, he created them, Dupain-Cheng."
"So what, Chloe? Your parents created you, they supervise you while you're fucking around?"
"Marinette!"
Aside the nun's scolding, three people had just arrive to the classroom. But she was so not done.
"I think both the Hebrew and Roman Bible were meant to teach men how dangerous women could be whenever they think by themselves: Lilith rebelled to God and her husband because she found another way to have sex, henceforth, became the mother of demons and Eve reached the knowledge God denied her so she got kicked out of heaven."
The nun smiled. Pretty much the truth. Sister Maria looked at the people waiting outside: principal Lenoir and a pair of very good-looking twins.
"Come in, principal Marianne. I'm sorry, we were in the middle of a debate".
The group entered the classroom and suddenly everyone went quiet: the twins shared their identical beauty, but aside from that, they looked very different: one was wearing light and casual clothes, his hair was golden and quite messy and his green eyes were so bright they looked almost hazel; while the other, was wearing a fancy dark suit and his hair was rather platinum, his eyes were as green as his brother's, but so cold they seemed blue.
"And a very interesting one, if I may add," she said, "I'm here to present the Agreste twins to the class".
Felix felt the urge to punch the principal right in the face. Now the world knew the truth, there was no need everybody call them "twins". Whilst Adrien was absorbed in the girl.
"Good morning, everyone, these are Adrien and Felix Agreste, they'll be in this class with you."
The principal left and the teacher pointed at the only two places left: there was only one guy sitting in the middle of the bench who seemed bored to dead.
"I am sister Maria and I'll be you religion teacher," she smiled, "you can seat with Nino, boys. Nino, could you move to one place so they can seat together?"
"That's fine, sister Maria," said one of them and sat in the right side of the bench. The other guy sat in the left one.
"Would you present yourselves to the class, mister and mister Agreste?"
Adrien smiled. He was charming.
"I'm Adrien Agreste. Pleased to meet you all".
"Felix Agreste," said the other one without anything else.
The teacher continued the class but no one was paying attention anymore: those who knew about the scandal felt they must inform the ones who didn't.
"Oh my God, you know about it, right?" whispered Alya Céssaire to Marinette.
The girl turned to her best friend, confused.
"Know what?"
"About their scandal," said Kagami Tsurugi focused on the class, her other best friend, "everybody knows now."
"What? I don't know anything about anything?"
"They're the sons of Gabriel Agreste. But they are from a different mother each"
"That's impossible! They're twins"
"No, their mothers are twins: Emilie and Amelie Graham de Vanily"
"Now we know what happens when the same man gets twins pregnant".
Marinette stared at the twins in awe. They were very cute, but especially Adrien, he looked warmer and kinder.
"So tomorrow morning, you'll bring your essays to my office. Have a nice day everyone".
The four girls left the classroom while Alya was chattering about the twins. They walked to the cafeteria longing for some good coffee and pastries.
"Marinette," Kagami whispered, "I must talk to you, come with me" before they could get away, Lila took Marinette's arm smiling.
"Where are you going, girls?"
"To the bathroom. Aren't we allowed?" replied Kagami. Marinette looked at the both of them and wondered what was going on between them. It had been a year since she had been sent to Saint Dymphna and Alya, Kagami and Lila were already friends, but she had noticed Lila and Kagami shared a very estranged relationship, they said they were friends but seemed very tense with each other.
"Of course you are, Kagami, can I join you?"
"Three in a bathroom is a multitude, Lila," said Alya, cheerful as always, "besides, I want some cheese fries, come with me!"
Taking advantage of Alya's distraction, Kagami rushed holding Marinette's arm.
But, then, someone else got in the way:
"Hello," said one of the handsome twins from earlier, the smiley and warm one.
"If you excuse us, we have a very important girl thing to do, pretty boy," spat Kagami. Marinette thought whatever her friend wanted to tell her must've been very important.
"Sure, I just wanted to tell your friend something," he softly placed a hand over Marinette's shoulder, "I was fascinated for what you said earlier…"
"Uh, hmm… Marinette you, I'm thanks… I MEAN…" damn it! she flushed dumbass! "I'm Marinette, thank you".
Adrien smiled.
"I'm Adrien. I hope I can hear more ideas from you later".
"Sure, I'd love that!" she said. The boy walked away to join his brother and Nino Lahiffe at the dormitories building.
As soon as he left, Kagami held her arm again, as if she was going to fly away.
"Do not trust him, Marinette," she said.
The girl frowned.
"Why…?"
"Already coming back? I was about to join you, girls".
Lila's high heels funny sound preceded her strong and beautiful voice.
"I'm not scared, Lila!" Kagami whispered again "Marinette, you must leave the school at once".
This is going beyond weird.
"What? Are you threating me? Are you mad at me, Kagami? Have I done something? I thought we were friends!"
"We are friends! Best friends! That's why…"
Lila smiled again.
"Hey, Kagami. I don't know why you're acting so weird, but you have a phone call in madam Lenoir's office, from home. Your mom had an accident or something, I'm sorry".
Suddenly, the Japanese girl went pale and stared at her friends in pure horror and wrath.
"You bitch!"
Both Lila and Marinette stared at her running away.
"What was that all about, Lila?"
"I don't know, she must be upset for her mom or something".
She wasn't convinced, at all. But she would find out that very same night.
N/a:
Hello darlings, as you can see, I changed the whole plot of this idea. Thou I hope you are interested.
Did you know Marinette means "belonging to the sea" and it's a French diminutive for Marine?
And Adrien is the French form of Adrian? Which means "sea"?
Well done, Astruc :)
Wowowow new story? I should finish the others I have working…
So I hope you like my idea and this ff because it's been a lot since I don't write one so yeah
Leave me a comment/review if you have any suggestions! I have not yet the entire plot so if there's something you'd like to see, let me know!
Adrinette ain't dead yet guys :3
P.D. I'm pretty sure this is canon for what actually happened with Felix and Adrien cause they resemble too much for being from a different father :/
