Destiny Island 1
The robot jolts up awake in a fright, if he could he would be sweating. He was alive, so it was all just a dream. He was on his beautiful island home. The waves gently crashing against the beach, the seagulls fling above calmly and the sun shining brightly against his metal body. It was a sign of peace.
"Geez, that was weird, have to do a virus scan some point maybe" Emerl said making a yawn like motion as he lies back into the sand. Only he then shoots back up when he sees the purple cat from his dreams looming over him. She smiles and giggles "Geez, come on give me a break Blaze."
"Emerl, you lazy bot. I knew I would find you snoozing around somewhere." Blaze said still with a giggle.
"No I wasn't sleeping!" Emerl protested "I was in some werid place. It was huge and dark and this strange black being try to kill me. It swallowed me up! I couldn't move! I could barely see! I couldn't…OW!" Emerl rubs the sore area Blaze hit with a fiery punch.
"Are you still dreaming?" Blaze asked
"It wasn't a dream!" Emerl states but slowly begins to think otherwise "Or was it? I don't know right now. What was that place? It felt so real."
"Whatever you say" Blaze teased as she moves to look out over the ocean with a smile and giggle
"Hey Blaze, what was your home like. You know the place where you grew up?" Emerl asked which was like actually the hundredth time.
"Emerl, I already told you, I don't remember" Blaze said but with a hint of uncertainty.
"Nothing at all?" Emerl asked
"Nothing"
"Do you ever want to go back there?" Emerl asked her
"Well…I'm happy here" Blaze said confident with her answer
"Oh…" Emerl said a bit disappointed.
"But you know, I wouldn't mind going to see it" Blaze added with a smile
"Me too!" Emerl said excited "Along with any other worlds out there, I want to be the first being to see them all!"
"So what are we waiting for? Let's hurry and finish the raft"
"Hey, you two aren't forgetting anyone are you?" The two look to where the source of the voice was to see the blue hedgehog robot with a log over his shoulder "Geez it took ages to find you both you know."
"Oh…sorry about that Metal Sonic" Emerl said rubbing his head
"Seriously" Metal said "I feel like I am the only one actually working on the raft" He threw the log to the side, which landed on Emerl's head "That makes you just as lazy as him Blaze."
"So you noticed" Blaze giggled. "Okay then, we'll finish it together. I'll race you."
"What?" Emerl questioned surprised
"Are you serious?" Metal said not taking her seriously
"Ready…GO!" Blaze calls out
Emerl and Metal shoot a quick glance at each other before jumping up and running down the beach. The three laughed as they raced each other down the beach. But unknown to them a figure cloaked in a brown cloak watched them from a far.
"Soon you're time will come, key bearer." He said as he vanishes into darkness.
-Destiny Islands-
Later Emerl meets up with Blaze near a wooden door that seperates the two halves of the island
"Since you went and been lazy Emerl, It is your job to get all the supplies we need to finish the raft." Blaze said handing him a list.
"Alright, fine" Emerl said unwillingly agreeing
Emerl begins walking and looks at the list. The first item was some logs, that shouldn't be too hard logs were easy to find all round the island.
"Hey Emerl" A voice called out, Emerl looks to see a brown skined boy in blue named Sokka.
"Oh hey Sokka, what's up?" Emerl asked his friend
"Nothing much, just wondering if you wanted a quick spar" Sokka said holding out his trusty boomerang.
"Any other time I would say yes, but I got some important stuff to do for Blaze" Emerl admits to him
"Come on, I'm sure you can spare a few minutes" Sokka said smiling
"Alright then, one quick match" Emerl said nodding
"That's the spirit!" Sokka cheered
Emerl pulls out a makeshift wooden sword and gets ready as Sokka pulls out a club and charges to engage in Emerl who defends against the club
Sokka grins and throws his Boomerang Emerl avoids it but get hit in the head on the return flight. Emerl knowing what to do jumps back as Sokka throws the boomerang again and Emerl dodges it but lands in front of Sokka throwing him off guard as he jumps letting Sokka get hit by his own boomerang
"Lucky move!" The boy said as he reclaims his boomerang
Sokka jumps into the air and spins and launches his boomerang before beginning to come down to strike with his club. Emerl seeing then reacts and defects the boomerang back at Sokka and whacks him with his sword into the ground as he dodges it.
"Ow….okay I yield" Sokka said rubbing his head and sitting up. "Geez you have gotten more skilled must be due to my amazing teaching"
"Yeah, let's go with that" Emerl said humoring Sokka
"Well, I got get going, see you around Emerl" Sokka said waving goodbye.
Emerl gathers a few logs around the beach before going up a ladder leading into a small room inside the large tree. This room was used for sleepovers a long time ago if they wanted to watch the stars, through they haven't used the place for a good number of years now. Emerl goes to a wall and removes a sheet that clung to the wall.
"Well, finally found a future use for this, make a perfect Sail" Emerl said as he bags it and goes to leave the way he came in.
Emerl after claiming the cloth for the sail slides down the ladder, he turns to face a pink hedgehog in a red dress.
"Oh hey Amy, how are you doing?" Emerl asked her smiling.
"I'm doing fine, just thinking about the legend of the Paopu fruit" Amy said smiling
"Oh, what legend is that?" Emerl asked her
"They say if two people share the paopu fruit, there hearts stay connected forever. It sounds romanatic I hope me and Sonic will share one someday" Amy said with a smile then grins saying "I bet you wouldn't mind sharing one with Blaze Emerl."
It was hard to keep a secret except to Blaze but Emerl has grown to like the purple cat despite him being a robot. He would sneak peaks at her, just to catch a glimpse of her beauty it was weird to fall in love with her but he did like her that much. After all they were always together that he thought nothing would separate them.
"Well…err…I best be going. See you round Amy" Emerl said and quickly moves off as fast as he could.
Emerl climbs up another ladder that leads to a wooden deck to find the next item on his list. Just as he believed he found the rope he needed, lying just across from Link who was practising swinging his red wooden sword.
"Hey Link, don't mind me, just need to borrow that rope" Emerl said as he goes to grab the rope but Link stops him.
"Nice try, but I am not letting you slip by so easily, want the rope one spar session, you win you get the rope." Link said smiling
"Well, I have little choice" Emerl said
The robot jumps back and draws his wooden sword and the blonde haired boy gets his ready. Emerl charges in and Link blocks the attack and counters whacking Emerl on the head. Emerl rubs his head and tries attacking again. But no matter what Link was able to dodge or block all his attacks. Emerl jumps and homing attacks Link but the boy simply swats him away knocking him down
"Surrender?" Link asked
"One thing you should always know…I never give up" Emerl said getting up
Link shrugs and brings down his weapon on Emerl. However Emerl then rolls out of the way quickly and kicks the red wooden sword out of Link's hands and took the opening to knock the boy into the wall.
"Ow…that hurt" Link said rubbing his head
"Yes! Another victory for me and a rope as well" Emerl cheered happily taking the rope.
"I will admit you have gotten stronger" Link said nodding "But no matter what against Metal you stand no chance, me, Sokka and Amy challenged him to 3 on 1 and he beat us all easily."
"It doesn't matter, one of these days I will beat him" Emerl proclaimed confident.
"Sure, if you say so" Link said chuckling
With the rope, sheet and most of the logs, Emerl only need to get one more log to finish up and he knew just where to find it. He enters the shack on the beach going up the stairs the bridge that connects the main island to a small island and sure enough there was the last log and also Metal Sonic. Metal was sitting on the bended tree that had star shaped fruit growing on it watching the clouds go by
"Hey Metal" Emerl said waving
"Oh hey Emerl, you finished your stuff yet?" Metal Asked
"Nearly, all I need is that log and then I'm done." Emerl explained
"Well, I am a little bored sitting here, so how about we have a quick spar" Metal offered
"Alright! Get ready cause this time I win!" Emerl said proudly.
"Geez, you always say that" Metal said rolling his optics. He jumps down from the tree and both draw identical looking wooden swords and face each other "Same rules as always. That means anything goes"
"Got it, now bring it!" Emerl exclaimed
Emerl charges in with his sword to swing at Metal. Metal gives a smirking look however and easily avoids and attempts to swipe at Emerl, who manages to dodge just in time. Metal moves in for another attack but Emerl blocks it and whacks Metal down onto his back. Just as it looked like victory Metal jumps up and swipes Emerl on the face.
"Wow, you managed to land a hit, Impressive you are improving" Metal said impressed "But now it means I won't hold back."
Emerl swings his sword to attack but Metal quickly zooms behind Emerl catching the brown robot off guard, he tries to turn to counter-attack but Metal swipes Emerl's legs knocking him off balance and forcing him onto his back where Metal points his sword down at Emerl's chest
"I win and remain the undefeated sword champ" Metal said grinning
"Fine! But know I will beat you one day" Emerl proclaimed
"I am sure you will buddy" Metal said sarcastically and offers his hand and helps Emerl up on his feet "You best get going, Blaze is waiting on you"
"Yeah, see you soon" Emerl said grabbing the last log and made his way back to Blaze
After Emerl handed all the stuff he was sent to get the rest of the day ran as normal, Sokka and Link sparred together with Amy cheering them both on. Emerl, Blaze and Metal Sonic worked on there raft to what seems like normal. As the sun began to set Sokka, Link and Amy had already left for home while the trio stayed on the island a bit longer. Emerl and Blaze sat on the bended tree while Metal leans up against it.
"So, Blaze's home is out there somewhere, right?" Emerl asked Metal
"More then likely" Metal replies "But we will never know by staying in a boring old place like here."
"But how far could a raft take us?" Emerl inquired
"I am not really sure on that" Metal said unsure "But if worst comes to worst, we'll think of something else"
"So, say if you do get to another world, what will you do there?" Blaze asked Metal curious
"You know, I actually haven't given it much thought" Metal admits honestly "I've just really always wondered why we're here, on this island. If there are actually other worlds out there, why were we made to live on this one? If there are other worlds, then ours is just a small part of something much greater. So, we could have just as easily landed on any other world, right?"
"Who knows?" Emerl said as he lies back on the tree
"Exactly! That is why we need to leave here and find out" Metal said "We won't find out just by staying here, doing the same stuff every day. So let's go and discover what is really out there!"
"You've really been giving this some thought, haven't you?" Blaze comments
"All thanks to you, If you hadn't come here, I would never have thought of any of this. Blaze thanks" Metal said
"You're welcome" Blaze said awkwardly.
As the sun slowly set, Blaze was already making her way home with Emerl and Metal following close behind. Emerl stops and turns upon hearing his hedgehog robot friend call his name. He turned just in time to catch one of the star shaped fruit that Metal threw to him.
"You wanted one, didn't you?" Metal asked.
"A paopu fruit?" Emerl inquired
"They say when two people share one, your hearts remain connected forever. You remain a part of each others lives no matter what, forever" Metal said as he walked past and then added smirking in a teasing way "Come on, I know you want to try it"
"Wait…What?!" Emerl exclaimed and threw the legendary fruit away and gives chase to his laughing friend.
Meanwhile, over hundred worlds wandered across the vast depths of time and space. But among these was one world which housed a rebuilt school that was an institute to teach the best of there particular school with many buildings surrounding it. This school had faced many despairing events but was soon restored into New Hopes Peak Academy, where the worlds hopeful students are taught.
Inside the castle a young blonde haired man with classes wearing a black suit and green tie was walking through the halls. He was a respected teacher of the school and formally the Ultimate Affluent Progeny Byakuya Togami. He passed by some Future Foundation who help round the school as he made his way to the principal office and knocks on the door before opening the door going in.
"Good morning Makoto." Togami said looking at some papers he was carrying "I know it's early but I am wanting to go over…"
Togami looks up and sees that the seat where Makoto Naegi, the Ultimate Hope and new headmaster of the school, sits was empty surprising Togami as he is usually in it by now.
"What the…?!" Togami asked in a rare moment of surprise and confusion
"Oh, hey Togami" A voice said and Togami turned to see a girl with green ahoge hair in a school girl uniform and black fingerless gloves and a strange loudspeaker device attached to her skirt stood. This was Komaru Naegi, Makoto's younger sister
"Komaru, do you know where your brother is?" Togami asked concerned
"Oh not really but he asked me to give you this." Komaru said handing an envelope with the Hopes Peak symbol on it.
Togami takes the letter and reads it not once, not twice but three times. He then stood there, face going white. He then rushes out of the office.
"Wait!" Komaru calls out running out the room but not chasing him "What did it say?!"
"Nothing good!" Was all Togami gave her as he ran.
Togami ran out onto the empty school grounds, by luck he found who he was looking for currently sleeping. A brown skinned boy with really long brown hair wearing a similar black suit but blue tie, sandals and rolled his pant ankles up, he also wore the jacket like a cape. He was Yasuhiro Hagakure, Hiro to his friends, the Ultimate Clairvoyant, through he was only about 30% accurate but with fortune tellers it was still good.
"Hiro, wake up! I am not joking this is serious" The blond haired boy yells out but the brown haired boy remained asleep. Annoyed by the clairvoyants laziness Togami chooses to use one of Future Foundations newest devices a mechanical wand said to perform magic of sorts. He uses it to cast lightning and a lightning strike shocks Hiro awake.
"Geez, what was that?" Hiro groans rubbing his head and see Togami "Oh hey Togami, good morning."
"I don't have time for that Hiro, We have a serious problem!" Togami told him "But you can't tell anyone"
"Kyoko?" Hiro asked
"Not even Kirigiri" Togami said, he knew keeping a secret to the Ultimate Detective, the vice principal and Makoto's girlfriend was tricky and not a good idea but it was for the best
"Sonia Nevermind, Gundam Tanaka?" Hiro asked
"No! It's top secret! So no one else should know!" Togami told him
"I…well I think that ship has sailed, good morning guys" Hiro said waving
"What?" Togami whispered and turned around. Unfortunatly to his surprise, he found the vice principal, the Ultimate Princess and the Ultimate Breeder standing there.
Kyoko whore a black skirt, red jacket with a white shirt underneath it and her trademark black gloves and even her purple high heel boots. Sonia and Gundam were formally of the Ultimate Despair but after getting them permission to be here to teach classes in secret the two were allowed in the school.
"Is there something you wish to tell us?" Sonia asked glaring
"Indeed what dark shadow has fallen on our realm that must be extinguished by my dark powers!" Gundam proclaimed
"I have already deduced it has something to why Makoto never came home last night so out with it Togami" Kirigiri said giving a serious look.
Togami sweats a bit, it was rare for him to be like this but this day have been a lot of unsual since Makoto left to train with a great master during the future foundation days to train to weild a great weapon
"Well…where should I start…" Togami said to them.
