"I…what?" Mackenzie was lost for words as she stared at him.

She didn't have time to really say anything anyway as he started running, dragging her along with Rose.

They went through another fire exit, and the dummies were still in pursuit. Something Mackenzie noticed as she took a chance to look back so she could see if they were. She regretted the moment she did look as it made the moment even more real.

The man pulled them onto a lift, and Mackenzie nearly screamed as one of the dummies arms got stuck in the doors of the lift. She flew back to press herself against the wall of the lift, wrapping her arms around herself as she squeezed herself tight.

She started hyperventilating again, making it catch Rose's attention.

"Kenzie?" Her cousin questioned with a concerned voice as she went over to her, pulling her into a comforting hug.

Mackenzie hugged her back tightly, trying to control her breathing. She didn't want to die like this.

As Rose tried to comfort her, Mackenzie watched as the man pulled the arm off, making the doors of the lift finally close all the way.

Rose noticed this too, keeping her arms wrapped around Mackenzie. Her mouth dropped.

"You pulled his arm off!"

The man turned his head, grinning. "Yep! Plastic." He looked like he was about to toss the arm at her, but stopped when he took in Mackenzie's pale face and shaky body. "Are you alright?"

"She's fine." Rose answered for her as Mackenzie was still trying to calm herself down. "She gets this way during stressful situations. She'll be alright."

The man frowned.

"Honestly, this is very clever, nice trick." Rose said, getting back to what was going on. "Who were they then, students? Is this a student thing or what?"

The man stared at Mackenzie for a moment longer before turning his attention to Rose. "Why would they be students?"

"I…I don't know…" Rose sputtered as she looked down at Mackenzie, thinking she would have an idea as to why.

She shrugged, still focusing on her breathing.

"Well, you said it! Why students?"

"Because…because to get that many people dressed up and being silly…they gotta be students."

The man grinned at her. "That makes sense! Well done."

How that made sense Mackenzie didn't know, but she guessed her cousin had a point.

"Thanks." Rose said. Finally, Mackenzie calmed down enough to move out of Rose's grip, getting her cousin to look at her. "You alright now?"

"Yeah." Mackenzie said. Her first words since getting into the lift. "I'm good."

"They're not students." The man told them.

Rose pursed her lips. "Whoever they are, when Wilson finds them, he's gonna call the police."

"Who's Wilson?" The man eyed her curiously.

"Chief electrician."

"Wilson's dead." He said bluntly as the lift dinged, signaling their stop. The doors opened and the man was the first one out.

Rose hurried after him while Mackenzie gulped as her eyes welled up with tears, feeling horrible that he died. She quickly wiped the tears away and got off the lift before the doors closed on her. Mackenzie caught up to the man and Rose pretty quickly, not wanting to be by herself just in case the dummies came back.

"That's just not funny, it's sick!" Rose ranted to the man, talking about Wilson being dead.

"Hold on!" The man pushed Rose out of the way, and she would have lost her balance if Mackenzie hadn't steadied her. "Mind your eyes." He pulled out something that looked like a screwdriver, but it had a blue light on the end. It glowed as he pressed a button on it, pointing it to the lift.

"What…what is that thing?" Mackenzie asked as soon as the light died down.

"Sonic screwdriver!" The man grinned proudly, tucking it back in his jacket pocket. The grin faltered when he saw the unimpressed look.

"I've had enough of this now!" Rose exclaimed, an annoyed expression on her face. Mackenzie felt the same way. All she wanted was to go home and forget about this nightmare.

The man walked off, ignoring her.

"Come on." Rose grumbled to Mackenzie, grabbing her hand so they could chase after him together without leaving her behind. "Who are you then?" She demanded. "Who's that lot down there? I said, who are they?"

"They're made of plastic. Living plastic creatures. They're being controlled by a relay device in the roof. Which would be a great big problem if I didn't have this." The man showed off an electronic device. "So!" He opened a fire exit door for Rose and Mackenzie. "I'm going to head up there and blow them up, and I might die in the process. But don't worry about me, no. Go home, go on! Go and have your lovely beans on toast."

Mackenzie made a gagging noise as her and Rose went out the door. "Have you ever had beans on toast? It's revolting."

The man glanced at her, amused. "Well, something else for you, then." She actually cracked a grin. "Anyway! Don't tell anyone about this, because if you do, you'll get them killed." He closed the door and Rose turned her cousin, slightly bemused.

Mackenzie couldn't blame her one more. This man was so strange, and she didn't know if that a good or bad thing.

The door didn't stay open for long as it opened back up and the man's head popped out. "I'm the Doctor, by the way, what's your name?"

"Rose."

His eyes flickered over to Mackenzie, who seemed to shrink under his stare.

"Mackenzie." She said quietly as she hid behind Rose slightly.

"Nice to meet you, Rose, Mackenzie. Run for your life." The man, now called the Doctor (who calls himself that anyway?), shut the door again.

Deciding to heed his warning, the two girls ran, not stopping even as they made it outside.

"Rose, look out!" Mackenzie called out as her cousin was almost ran over by a taxi because she wasn't paying attention.

Her cousin dodged out of the way.

"Watch it!" The driver shouted angrily.

Mackenzie quickly joined Rose, and they both watched as the department store was blown up.

"Let's go!" Rose said after they admired what happened for a moment. They took off running, moving past a blue box.

Mackenzie noticed it though but didn't think of it much. However, she did think about the man called the Doctor, wondering if he made it out of there alive.

Mackenzie swatted her mum's hands away from her as they sat in Jackie Tyler's living room after what happened with the news playing in the background. "Muuuum, stop! I'm fine!"

"You could have gotten hurt, so let me just make sure you're alright, okay?" Her mum snapped at her.

Mackenzie huffed, glancing at Rose, who was having a rough time with her mum, just like she was.

Her aunt Jackie was on the phone as she moved out of the kitchen. "I know, it's on the telly! It's everywhere! They're both lucky to be alive!" She handed Rose and Mackenzie a cup of tea.

Mackenzie took it gratefully. Having a cup of tea always managed to calm down her nerves whenever she had them, which felt like all the time.

"Jacks, who are you even talking to?" Mackenzie's mum questioned.

"Debbie!" She answered, taking the phone away from her and covering the speaker for a moment before bringing it back to her ear.

Mackenzie's mum rolled her eyes, and Mackenzie couldn't blame her. Debbie was the town's biggest gossip and knew everything about everyone. Her mum kept to herself, so it was rather uncomfortable being around Debbie.

"Honestly, it's aged her." Jackie ranted. "Skin like an old bible. Walking in now you'd think I was HER daughter! Oh, and here's himself…"

Mickey, Rose's boyfriend, came hurrying into the room. "I've been phoning your mobile, you could've been dead! It's on the news and everything! I can't believe your shop went up!" He hugged her and Rose patted him on the back, rolling her eyes.

Mackenzie stifled a laugh.

"I'm alright, honestly, I'm fine!" Rose reassured him. "Don't make a fuss."

"If anyone needs to be fussed over, it's me." Mackenzie said, raising a hand as she caught Mickey's attention.

"Oh right, I forgot, you were there too." He said, "You alright?"

She shrugged. "As well as I can be, I guess."

"So, it's fine, if he makes sure your alright, but not me?" Mackenzie's mum teased, ruffling her hair.

Mackenzie made a face at her, pushing her hand away. "Yeah, cause, I mean, you're my mum, I don't want you worrying about me." She didn't like worrying her mother.

"It's really nothing to worry about anyway." Rose said, shaking her head. "We weren't in the shop, we were outside, so we didn't see anything." She shared a look with Mackenzie. They had decided when they went back home that they were going to keep what happened a secret because like the Doctor said, a lot of people would die if this came out.

Jackie headed back into the living room. "So, guess what?" She started off. "Debbie knows a man from the Mirror – five hundred quid for an interview!"

"Oh, that's brilliant! Give it here!" Rose took the phone and hung it up.

Jackie huffed, crossing her arms as she glanced away for a moment. Enough time for Mackenzie to give Rose a high five. Rose grinned at her.

"Well, you've gotta find some way of making money." Jackie said, finally looking back. "Your jobs kaput and I'm not bailing you out." The phone rang again, and she quickly picked it up. "Beth! She's alive!" She left the room, but since her voice carried, they could still hear her, "I tell ya, sue for compensation! She was within seconds of death…"

Mackenzie sighed, settling down on the couch as Mackenzie's mum went to join Jackie, leaving the three of them alone.

"What are you guys drinking?" Mickey asked, then peered into their cups. Mackenzie pulled hers away to not get his breath on it. "Tea? No, no, no, that's no good. You're in shock, you need something stronger."

"Why?"

"You deserve a proper drink, you and me, we're going down to the pub, my treat, how about it?"

Rose was now smiling at him, "Is there a match on?"

Mackenzie rolled her eyes. "There goes the greatest boyfriend award, caring more about a game than his girlfriend." She gave a grin in Mickey's direction to show she was just teasing him.

"Of course, I care! I'm just thinking about you, babe!"

"There's a match on, ain't there?" Rose repeated, not believing him for a second.

Mickey hesitated for a moment. "Well, that's not the point." He finally admitted. "We could catch the last five minutes."

"Go on then. I'm fine really. I'll just stay with Kenzie, watch movies and eat popcorn."

"Sounds good to me." Mackenzie agreed as she pulled out her journal from her bag, tucking her legs underneath her.

"Go." Rose told Mickey again as he hadn't moved from his spot. "Get rid of that, will you?" She nodded towards the arm that the Doctor had taken off and she had brought with her.

Mickey pointed to his lips, and Rose rolled her eyes as she moved in to kiss him. Mackenzie averted her eyes.

He pushed her back against the chair playfully, causing them both to laugh. Mackenzie watched on, smiling in amusement.

Then Rose tripped him, but he managed to catch himself as he grabbed the arm and waved it at Rose.

"Buh bye!" Mickey grinned before repeating the motion to Mackenzie. "Buh bye, Kenzie!"

Mackenzie rolled her eyes in amusement. "Bye Mick." She turned her attention back to her journal, which she hadn't written in yet. She was just going over what she had written last time and her mind couldn't help but think back to how different today was compared to yesterday.

She quickly grabbed her pen and finally began writing.

You'll never believe what happened to me today…

The next morning, it was back to school again and of course, she immediately got swarmed by people, asking about what happened.

Mackenzie told as much as she could without revealing what exactly happened. She didn't talk much, considering she really wasn't much of a talker to begin with, she'd rather stay in the background and not be noticed.

It was easier said than done since her name was all over the news, so people were watching her everywhere. Made her feel extremely uncomfortable. So, she was thankfully when school was finally over and she was back at home.

She had just settled in when she heard a knock on the door. Mackenzie groaned as she forced herself up off the couch to answer the door. It was Rose and she already had that tongue in the teeth smile on.

"Hey, what do you think about a little investigating?"

Mackenzie hesitated for a moment. "What kind of investigating?"

As they pulled up across the street from Clive's house, Mackenzie was really rethinking her decision to come with Rose. She felt a little more comfortable that Mickey was there too, but not completely.

"You're not coming in!" Rose informed Mickey, rolling her eyes. "He's safe, he's got a wife and kids."

"Yeah, but who told you that? He did. That's exactly what an internet lunatic murderer would say."

Mackenzie spoke up. "Uh Rose, I have to agree with Mick on this one, I don't think this is a good idea. We don't even know this guy. He could be some lunatic."

"Ha! At least someone is thinking clearly!"

She just rolled her eyes and got out of the car anyway, grinning before heading down the streets to the house. Mackenzie groaned.

"I'm gonna have to go after her, aren't I?" She asked herself as she glanced at Mickey, but he was busy glaring at some guy bringing out his rubbish. Well, he wasn't going to.

She groaned, hopping out of the car to chase after Rose. She got there as her cousin knocked on the door.

"I still think this isn't a good idea." Mackenzie mumbled to her.

"Honestly, Kenz, you need to live a little." Rose grinned at her.

Mackenzie crossed her arms and opened her mouth to say something, but she didn't have time to because the door opened. It was a young boy, around eleven years old. At least this guy wasn't lying about having a kid.

However, that still didn't mean this was a crazy idea, and all just because of this man called the Doctor.

She didn't get why Rose was getting obsessed over him.

The boy eyed them wearily as Rose spoke up, snapping Mackenzie out of her thoughts.

"Uh, hello, I've come to see Clive." She told him. "We've been emailing."

The boy rolled his eyes, obviously used to this probably daily occurrence. "Dad! It's one of your nutters!" He disappeared as a man around thirty appeared. This was Clive, and he looked pretty normal, so Mackenzie was able to take a sigh of relief.

"Sorry. Hello." Clive grinned. "You must be Rose and…" He paused, looking at the other blonde.

Mackenzie managed to smile. "Mackenzie, Rose's cousin."

"Nice to meet you! I'm Clive. Obviously!"

"I better tell you now – my boyfriend's waiting in the car, just in case you're going to kill me!" Rose joked as Mackenzie gave her an uncomfortable look.

Clint chuckled. "No, good point. No murders." He waved over to Mickey, who nodded at him but was still frowning, obviously still distrusting this man, and Mackenzie couldn't blame him. "Come on in."

Rose went in first while Mackenzie hesitated.

"I…I think I'm gonna wait with Mickey in the car." She told Rose, who turned to look, about to protest but seeing the look on her face, her cousin nodded with a sigh.

"Okay, I'll be back soon, and try not to let Mickey worry too much."

Mackenzie just nodded and joined her cousin's boyfriend in the car. She sighed as she leaned back against the seat, relieved that Rose didn't force her to come inside.

They watched as the door closed.

"This was a horrible idea." Mickey grumbled. "What the hell was she thinking?" He looked over at Mackenzie.

She shrugged. "I don't know. She's your girlfriend."

"And you're her cousin." Mickey countered back. "You know her better than I do."

"You've known her as long as I have. You know when she sets her mind on something, it's a pain in the butt to change her mind."

Mickey couldn't argue with that, letting out a sigh. Suddenly, he asked out of nowhere.

"Did you see that?" he asked loudly.

She looked at him, confused. "What are you talking about?"

He pointed. "That bin moved!"

Mackenzie looked over to where he pointed at, but it wasn't moving. "Are you sure, Mick? Maybe it was your imagination?"

"No! I know what I saw!" Mickey got out of the car, stomping over to the bin.

Mackenzie gave a sigh as she got out too, joining Mickey. She watched as he looked around it.

"What exactly are you looking for?"

"There has to be something that's moving it." Mickey muttered to himself, lifting it up to look underneath before setting it back down. Then he flipped up the lid dramatically. "Come on then!"

Mackenzie couldn't help but giggle at him, and he pouted at her, hearing it.

"It's not funny!"

"It kind of is." She giggled. "But see, I told you that you were just imagining it." She had to believe he was and besides, she couldn't tell him that things could move. If he was freaking out over a trash bin, then she couldn't imagine how he'd react to the moving dummies. Probably even worse than she did.

Mickey just frowned at her and he tried to pull his hands away from the bin, but they were stuck to it!

Mackenzie's eyes widened, seeing this.

"Kenz, help!" he shouted.

She jumped into action and grabbed onto his waist, trying to pull him back. "It's…not…working!" she grunted in between pulls. She tried a couple more times but it was no use, and she cried out in response when possessed bin swallowed them whole.

Mackenzie, Part 3...

I could have ended the episode in this chapter, but I usually like to put the episodes in three parts so I'm just gonna do it for this story too! So, I think I decided on probably making this a Jack/OC story, but also a Doctor/OC story. But the Doctor/OC romance won't happen until the Tenth Doctor, cause I think Mackenzie and him would match up good together. What do you guys think? I'd love your opinion. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter and please leave reviews I'd love some more! Until next time!
