Thanks to user called "The Lone Pixarian", who said to me there are some grammar mistakes in chapter 1.

I cannot find those grammar mistakes, since I'm not native English speaker, but I hope this chapter will have a better grammar :)

Arlo woke up from sleep under the pressure of hot air, which began to implicitly march on his body. Immediately upon he opened the first eye and before he could raise the eyelid of the second eye, he saw dancing flames in front of him a few meters away.

The young t-rex squeaked and trembled, as some flame sparks gingerly settled on his narrow snout. At the same time, someone was gently stroking his head for calming purposes.

"Shhh" the tender tone cooed in the form of relaxing feminine voice. "These are just small flames. The campfire doesn't threaten you"

Arlo felt weak, as he watched upon his new father rolling more logs directly to the fire.

His carnivorous older siblings also participated in this so-called sport, rolling pieces of wood with everything they could, by the way, making funny faces to bring a smile to their newly born little brother's muzzle, accompanied by the mother.

The little t-rex couldn't help but fall into a snare of his own giggle at the sight.

"Now now" Arlo's new mother happily remarked, travelling the fingers of her claw down his back close to the spine. "Laughter is good for health, so I can predict you grow into a strong predator"

In the meantime, Butch and his older children finished their job. The sharp fangs of an adult theropod grew into a smirk, as he saw the flames of his campfire dance to a larger size.

"That's all what went" he stated, giving his two loved ones a playful smile. "I hope that's enough for you two"

The reddish t-rex nodded.

"I have enough warmth to produce for myself" she replied softly, before she glanced at her beloved kid underneath her scaly body. "He needs warmth for the health, which he needs, not me"

The adult brownish-yellow t-rex managed to kneel down and look at the miracle of nature his son was.

Arlo tilted his head and stared innocently at the beast, his hypnotizing tiny eyes with nothing he could tell that a carnivore has no bad intentions.

Even if Arlo himself was a tyrannosaur, who was about to grow into a murderer eating other dinosaurs in the future.

The adult meat-eater continued to stare at him with a silence. It looked like the adult carnivore himself had no intention of letting go.

"What are you waiting for, little guy?" Arlo's new father quirked an eyebrow. "I want to hear your battle roar"

Really? That's what Butch wanted to hear from him? The young tyrannosaur quietly swallowed and then coughed that his sound would then be clear.

"Sweetie, don't force him to do that..." the female reddish t-rex whispered. "He is still a small child"

"Oh, do not worry" Butch grinned proudly at response. "It's just making a noise, not a big deal"

Arlo's new mother rolled her eyes.

"F-fine..." she stammered with a sigh. "But remember, our son needs to be safe"

The adult brownish-yellow carnivore warmly smiled.

"There's nothing to be afraid of, little one" he nuzzled the little t-rex with his nostrils. "I just want to hear how you sound, nothing else"

After looking at Arlo's silent momentary, Butch decided to sniff his head, to somehow force the son to let out at least a sound sufficient for his eardrums.

Arlo realized that he had no choice but to do it, so he accepted his new father's offer.

Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, he slowly stood up on the lower limbs. His father watched it intently with a same expression as before.

With a wide opening of his snout, the young dinosaur made a loud but high-pitched roar.

"Awww, how sweet!" Arlo's older sister, Ramsey, said in a sweetened voice. "Our little brother is very charming and has impressive battle cry for his age"

"True" Nash agreed with a caring smirk. "Amazing and intriguing job"

"It is still nothing" Butch turned to look at them. "He will be a real healthy gem as soon as he is strong as a daddy"

The brownish-yellow dinosaur swallowed.

"Now he has to rest for the most part"

Arlo's new mother did not like how Butch wanted to make their son a killing machine, just to satisfy his strange needs.

"Maybe our son should see the benefits of nature..." the reddish t-rex said sarcastically. "Than immediately mix him in the hunt?"

Butch sheepishly smiled.

"Yeah... you are right, honey" the brownish-yellow dinosaur admitted softly. "I should not plan our son's lifestyle right after he was born. I think too much about it"

Nash and Ramsey joined their younger brother's company to play with him, which worried their mother.

"Who is our sweetest reptile?" the female reptile teased playfully, rubbing Arlo's neck with her claw, as his cheeks flushed. "You are!"

Oh well. Could this situation be more awkward?

"Ramsey" her younger brother chuckled, seeing how his youngest sibling looks. "I think he likes it"

"Maybe you don't have one of your clawies, but you will certainly be a strong representative of our dinosaur species"

"Ramsey..." Arlo's new mother shook her head, as soon as she heard what she heard. "Spit out the words, that you just said before"

The young female reddish-orange dropped her head with sadness. "Yeah, I'm so sorry for those words, mother. I should think first than say something"

The adult female reddish t-rex then glared at her chubbier son.

"It also matters to you, young man" she growled. "None of you has the right to make fun of your youngest brother's disability"

Ramsey then raised her head again.

"Pardon me, mother, but you are wrong!" she tried to explain, not to offend her in any way. "We don't laugh at Arlo's disability, but tried to tell him that he would manage in his long life"

When Nash looked down, he spotted that his brother was shaking.

Arlo himself was terrified as soon as he realized that Ramsey mentioned his name. How in the world did they know his name?

The young tyrannosaur did not know what to think about it. He fainted.
