For the Ta-Matoran named Vakama, his day had gone from stressful, to heartlight stopping scary, to crazy, and finally, to completely insane. And for the Mask Maker, this was certainly not how he planned for his day to go at all.
First, his latest attempt at creating Turaga Dume's requested mask had, once again, ended in a broken mess of shattered Kanoka disk. It had then joined the growing pile of failed attempts from before.
Second, his long-time friend Toa Lhikan had suddenly dropped in, telling poor Vakama that he was needed to save Metru Nui and giving him a strange package. The Ta-Matoran was left very confused, which meant he was unprepared for what happened next.
Third, the Dark Hunters Nidhiki and Krekka had attacked, capturing Lhikan when the Toa put Vakama's safety over his own freedom. Not to mention the strange vision that struck Vakama during all of that.
Fourth, he found out that the package Lhikan had given him contained a strange red stone, as well as a secret map to the Great Temple, Kini Nui in the old Matoran language that was no longer as commonly used, in Ga-Metru.
Fifth, the Ta-Matoran had found out that five other Matoran of the different Metru's had also been summoned by Lhikan to the Temple. Matoran Vakama had never met before, and who didn't know each other.
And finally, when they had been discussing, though it was more like arguing, about why they were chosen by Lhikan, something unexpected happened. The air in the Great Temple had become charged, soon followed by a loud bang that proceeded the sudden opening of a multicoloured vortex.
In short, this was definitely not Vakama's day.
When the vortex had burst into existence, the Matoran had listened to their instincts and scattered. Vakama had quickly found himself hiding behind the same pillar as the Ga-Matoran teacher, Nokama.
As the two hid behind the pillar, they heard a loud thump followed by a pained groan. A strained female voice spoke up, but in a language that Vakama did not understand. The Fire Matoran shot a questioning glance at the blue Matoran on his left, seeing as Nokama was the resident linguist. The Ga-Matoran shook her head, silently implying that this was a language that she did not know.
As Vakama frowned, the sound of scuffling metal came from the pillar to his right. Taking the chance, the Ta-Matoran poked his head around the pillar to investigate. The scuffling sound had come from Whenua, an Onu-Matoran, and Matau, a Le-Matoran. The latter had ended up being shoved from his hiding place during a small scuffle. The Le-Matoran let out a strangled cry of surprise, and hit the ground with a crash. As Whenua popped his head out, his green eyes went wide with fear.
Daring to look, Vakama pushed his head out further, and his eyes widened as he found himself staring at a strange Toa-like creature that was sitting on the central chamber's floor.
The creature looked to be shaped similar to a Toa, but much shorter. It was covered in strange blue and white cloth, colours similar to that of a Vo-Matoran. Strange tan and blue wires covered its head, as well as a weird blue and white helmet. It lacked metal plating, exposing a light tan coloured hide. And its eyes… they were not like a Bionicle's at all. Unlike the normal colour that was signature to each variety of Matoran with a glowing oval shaped lighter colour for a pupil, Vakama's red eyes with light orange pupils being a good example, the creature's eyes did not glow. They were white, with arctic blue circles for pupils. The strangest thing about its eyes was the smaller black circle that sat in the middle of its pupils.
Vakama watched the creature as it stared at the fallen form of Matau being dragged back behind the pillar by a panicking Whenua. As Vakama moved his head out further, now more curious than scared, he found himself being yanked back with a silent squawk. Nokama slapped her hand over his mouth, her making a shushing motion with her free hand.
The strange voice spoke up again, sounding breathless. Though the words it spoke were unknown, its last two words set Vakama's armour plating on edge.
"…Kini Nui…"
How did this strange creature know the old Matoran words for the Great Temple?! The only thing it had been speaking so far had been gibberish!
Yanking Nokama's hand off of his mouth, the Matoran of Fire left his hiding spot, ignoring the Ga-Matoran's hushed cry of "Don't!". Vakama just had to know why!
As he rounded the pillar, the Fire Matoran found himself stopping in surprise. The creature was now pressing its back against the half sphere that sat in the middle of the chamber, Onewa, the Po-Matoran, standing before it with a carving tool making threats. Instead of intimidating Onewa with its size, the creature looked panicked, hands held palm out in an attempt to show that it meant no harm. But the Po-Matoran was firmly dead set on keeping the creature pinned.
Emma stared at the Po-Matoran before her, panic filling her chest. The Matoran had come out of nowhere, waving around some strange tool that had a distinctively sharp edge. He had been crying out loud words in a language that Emma did not understand, but it didn't take a genius to figure out that he was threatening her. Now, pressed against the central structure of the room, the girl found herself fearing for her life. Though she stood a good three and a half feet taller than Onewa, he had a sharp weapon, while she did not.
In other words, she was at a disadvantage… to a Matoran.
Just as Onewa made another jab at her, one that may have actually hit her, a dark red mechanical hand grabbed his arm. Emma was surprised to see that it was a Fire Matoran, who she recognized as Vakama from the movie she watched, who had stopped the Matoran of Stone from inflicting what could have been some serious damage. The two exchanged words, Onewa giving Fire Matoran an unimpressed look while Vakama waved his arms around, gesturing from her startled form and towards the other Matoran, all who were now emerging from their hiding spots.
It was then that the girl felt something poke her leg, startling her into letting out a yelp.
"We don't know what this creature is! It might attack us!" Onewa snapped, irritated.
Vakama, undeterred by the Po-Matoran's anger, snapped right back. "Can't you see that it means no harm?!" He waved his hands towards said creature. "If it meant harm, it would have already attacked us!" He then gestured towards the other Matoran, who were now emerging from their hiding spots. "It had the perfect opportunity to attack Matau, and yet it didn't!" Vakama gestured towards the creature again. "If anything, its frightened of you! Didn't you see how it cowered when you attacked it?!"
Onewa went to rebuttal, when a startled yelp gained their attention. Both arguing Matoran turned and saw that Matau was standing next to the creature, finger out showing that he had poked it. The creature, in turn, had yelped in surprise, and jumped away from the Le-Matoran.
Matau grimaced. He hadn't meant to startle the creature. He was just curious about what it was made of, as it was unlike any rahi he had seen before. It looked to be completely organic…
The creature shouted something, obviously startled and highly annoyed, and it even waved its finger in a chastising motion. Vakama found himself suddenly fighting to stifle a laugh. The creature was verbally chewing out Matau!
The poor Le-Matoran looked upset, bowing his head and muttering that he didn't mean to scare it.
The creature continued scolding for a few more seconds, before crossing its arms with a huff. Matau bowed his head, his voice small as he said "Sorry-oops…"
The creature smiled softly, kneeling down and placing a cloth covered hand on his shoulder. It, no, she, by the pitch of her voice, murmured a few kind words, accepting Matau's apology. Seeing that the creature meant no ill intent towards them, the Matoran slowly crowded around her, now more curious than frightened. The creature, for her part, remained kneeling, choosing to remain close to their height as to seem more welcoming.
Emma smiled at Matau, placing a hand on his shoulder as she accepted his apology, even if she couldn't understand his words. Hearing the shuffling of metal feet on stone, she raised her head to see that the other Matoran had come closer, crowding around her with curiosity. Onewa was the only one to stay back, but the girl didn't mind. He had attacked her, even if it was in most likely self-defence.
It's kinda weird seeing them all… Emma thought silently to herself, until now, I believed them only to be fiction. Choosing to remain kneeling, as not to startle the Matoran, Emma listened as they spoke amongst each other. I'm not really surprised that they speak another language, Emma mused, stifling a laugh as Matau was smacked upside the head by Nokama, this is another universe and they arealiens, so it makes sense in a way.
Looking over the gathered Matoran, the blonde-blue haired found her arctic eyes drifting over to Nuju. The white Matoran's blue eye and the red optical piece on his mask were examining her curiously.
Emma found herself mentally comparing as she met Nuju's stare. Heh, he reminds me of 'Becca… She found herself thinking back to when she first met her friend… her very first friend who wasn't family.
Emma shifted nervously as she sat in her seat. The nine-year-old glanced around nervously, twiddling a pencil between her thumbs as she stared at the sheer number of males in the room. She had bad memories of boys… men… from her past… memories that were haunting her and making her uncomfortable to be in the same room with them.
Unconsciously, the blue striped blonde-haired girl crossed her legs and zipped up her white jacket, even though it was already zipped up all the way. One of the boys glanced her way, so she immediately pulled the rim of her hat down to hide her face, pushing her bangs in her eyes and wincing as the pencil grazed her cheek.
The chair beside her scrapped back, and a girl clothed in white sat next to her. Her shoulder length blonde hair was almost snow white in colour, with bangs that slightly covered her left eye, which was brown. She wore a simple white tee, with grey shorts and silver sandals.
Emma shifted a little to her left, turning to her sketch book in an attempt to distract herself. A half-drawn sketch of a limping wolf with broken wings trailing damaged feathers behind it. Even though it was half done, a deep sadness could be seen in its eyes. Water was what is was walking through, though she was still trying to figure out what to put in the background.
Emma sighed softly and began to work on the wings. She had the basic shape outlined, so she began to work on the more delicate details.
"That's incredible."
Emma let out small squeak, jerking up so fast that her back cracked. The girl who sat next to her was staring at the drawing, before turning her calculating gaze on Emma.
The girl let out a silent gasp as the white-haired girl's eyes landed on her. While the left eye was brown, the right one was blue. She had dual coloured eyes!
The girl beside her motioned to the artwork. "The art, it's amazing."
Emma blinked owlishly. No one except for her mother and art teacher had complemented her work before... and her sister before… She shook her head to push the thought away, and turning bright pink in sudden shyness, the blonde-blue haired girl ducked her head, murmuring "Thanks…" softly.
The white-haired girl chuckled. "My name is Rebecca Elchin," she introduced, "what's your name?"
Emma blinked for a second, then a smile twitched onto her lips. "Emma," She replied, suddenly not feeling so shy, "Emma K- McFord." She corrected quickly, though Rebecca didn't seem to notice.
Emma jumped a little as something patted her arm, and looking down she noticed that Nuju had moved closer to her side. He held something in his hands, which he held up to her. The Ko-Matoran said something in his native tongue, pushing the object towards her as if saying "Take it."
Reaching down, Emma gently took the object. It was a small circular piece of metal with a symbol carved on one side. The symbol was a large circle with a smaller circle on each side, both opposite to the other and on a slanted angle. There were two curved shapes similar to the number 3 on either side of it. Emma knew the shape well. It was the Bionicle symbol of Unity Duty and Destiny, the Three Virtues that they lived by. Attached to the metal pendant was a light silver chain made of a lightweight but obviously strong metal. Protodemis metal. She realized.
As Emma examined the metal, she took notice that the other Matoran were watching her curiously. After a minute of examination, Nuju started making a motion of placing something over his neck. Quickly catching what he meant, the girl placed the chain over her head. The piece of metal rested on her collarbone, and much to her surprise, gave off a soft glow.
"What the-?" She yelped, falling backwards onto her rear in surprise when it flashed brightly.
"Hey! It works!" A male voice said excitedly.
Snapping her head up, Emma stared at the Matoran standing before her. Did they just…? Did I just…?
Nuju walked up to her, a faint chuckle escaping his lips. "I apologize for the sudden language change, but I could see no other way to communicate without trouble."
Emma's jaw opened and closed. "H-How? Wh-What…?" She was in a fair state of shock. "What is this thing?" The girl asked, looking at the pendant.
The Ko-Matoran chuckled again, resting an understanding hand on her shoulder. "The pendant I gave you is called a Translation Stone. Made from a Kanoka Rau disc, the stone translates any language that you hear mentally, allowing you to understand what is being said around you." He explained. "It also translates what you say into our language."
"That… kinda makes sense." Emma said after a moment's thought. "My name is Emma." She introduced, deciding to break the ice.
The Matoran introduced themselves, and Emma nodded, acting as though she didn't already know their names. How could she explain that she already knew who they were? That on her world, they were nothing more than characters? The girl decided to keep her mouth shut about that… no need to complicate things.
Emma listened as the group talked amongst each other, trying to determine why they were summoned to the temple. Though it was more like bickering than anything.
"Your negativity pollutes this sanctuary builder." Nokama chastised Onewa, not at all impressed by his attitude.
Onewa huffed, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "Save the lessons for your class, teacher." He spat.
Emma groaned, rolling her eyes. Good grief! "Come on guys, break it up." She played peacekeeper by placing herself between the two, and felt a sigh coming on when Onewa turned with another huff while Nokama stalked away.
"She's right," Nuju said, drawing the others attention, "we're here for a reason."
"And that would be?" Whenua asked, raising a brow.
Matau shrugged. "Maybe a-" he didn't get to finish his comment, as someone else spoke up.
"Uh, guys?" Emma interrupted, and pointed towards the centre of the Suva. "I think Nokama's discovered something."
After the blue Ga-Matoran had hesitantly placed her stone in the structure, the Suva, a bright flash of light filled the room, and a pillar of ghostly light shot out of the central structure. Nokama stumbled back in shock, surprise lining her masked face.
The rest of the five Matoran, also surprised, quickly made their way forwards, and surrounded the Suva. The other Matoran followed the Ga-Matoran's example, stepping forward and placing their stones in their Metru's niches in the Suva. With each stone, the beam became stronger in intensity. The temple chamber shook as if a great earthquake had struck the city, and then, as suddenly as they began, the tremors came to a stop.
The pillar of light, now glowing much brighter, began to project the image of a ghostly Kanohi Hau. A mask they all knew very well.
"Toa Lhikan!" Someone, most likely Vakama, exclaimed in shock.
As Emma hung back, giving the destined Matoran some space, the projection began to speak.
"Faithful Matoran," Lhikan's voice began, speaking through the Hau, "Metru Nui needs you. A shadow threatens both its heart and the light that hides within." Emma frowned when she heard that last bit. That wasn't in the storyline…
"Prove yourselves worthy Toa." His voice continued, holding conviction, and then the tone became softer. "And fear not, for the Great Spirit shall guide you in ways that you cannot imagine."
The ghostly mask began to glow white, and as the Suva rose, it revealed a pillar from underneath it. The light flashed brighter, and six tendrils of energy shot out, striking each of the Matoran. The Matoran began to glow, then change, their bodies growing taller and stronger, armor forming where none had been before. Their masks transformed from the simple Kanohi of Matoran into Great Masks of Power, and muscles rippled under their new armour.
Emma covered her eyes as the glow grew in intensity, hissing at the brightness and rendering her unable to see. She felt a weird tingling sensation accompanied by… something, ripple across her as the energy washed over her, followed by a warm feeling in her chest. She staggered back surprised… and then the feeling vanished along with the glow.
The thirteen-year old blinked her eyes rapidly to get rid of the flashing aura, rubbing them. When she could finally see, she gasped in shock as her eyes widened. "Oh my…"
Moments before, they had been Matoran. Six strangers, each from a different Metru, brought together by a plea for help from Toa Lhikan, the hero of Metru Nui. Now, in the heart of the Great Temple in Ga-Metru, they had been transformed. Where once six Matoran had stood, there now existed six new Toa Metru.
The former denizens looked at themselves and each other in awe. "Are we… Toa?" Onewa asked, excitement in his voice.
"If we appear to be Toa-heroes, then we are Toa-heroes!" Matau answered with unrestrained glee.
Whenua, once an archivist in Onu-Metru and now a Toa of Earth, shook his head and voiced the thoughts of them all. "Since when are Matoran just zapped into Toa?" He asked with some shock, though he did admire his new layers of armor and stronger muscles.
Nuju, former seer and now a Toa of Ice, suggested, "When uncertain times lie ahead." The telescope attached to his Kanohi mask looked the others up and down in amazement. The scope whirred faintly as it scanned them, feeding the Toa data about each of his new comrades.
"Those must have been Toa Stones." Nokama realized, looking back at where they had placed their stones into the Suva just seconds ago.
Onewa was looking himself up and down, pausing for a moment as he held his hands out in front of him. "The Toa Stones we brought here," he agreed, "that was what did it. It must be."
Nokama nodded, adding on, "Very little is known about them, except that they have the potential to bring about new Toa – in our case," she gestured to them, "transformation from Matoran."
Vakama, not so long-ago Ta-Metru's most skilled mask maker and now the new Toa of Fire, looked down at his new form. He did not say a word out loud, but Emma noticed the uncertain look in his eyes. He's doubting himself already. She realized.
Onewa looked around. "Now all we need are–"
As if in answer, the sides of the raised Suva fell away to reveal a cache of Toa tools. "–These!" Matau shouted, and eagerly raced forwards. The other new Toa rushed over as well, a little excited to select their new equipment.
Onewa grabbed a pair of Proto Pitons, swinging them about. "Now this is a Toa tool! Hyah!" He shouted, clanking one against the stone floor.
Nuju wordlessly took a pair of twin Crystal Spikes, admiring them as he affixed them to his forearms. He also could hold them on more conventional hilts. He scanned them with his scope, looking over the data about them in awe.
Whenua picked up two Earthshock Drills, grinning. Spinning one at lower power, he chuckled, "I've always wanted one of these." There was no restraining the excitement in his voice.
Nokama chose a pair of Hydro Blades, spinning the heads of the weapons around her body. "Such perfect balance!" She marveled, excited to wield the axe-like tools.
Vakama pondered, looking over what remained. Emma came up beside him, a little awed by the weapons left. Damn… why didn't they show THIS in the movies?! She looked up at the new Toa of Fire, and realized that he was struggling to choose between two blades and a spear. The girl glanced at the different weapons, when she noticed something that made her smile. "Hey, Vakama." She called to the Toa. "What do you think of this?" She pointed to a crossbow-like tool, one the Fire Toa recognized immediately.
"A Disk Launcher." He murmured with unrestrained awe and picked it up.
Emma smiled as Vakama marvelled over his new tool, happy that she could help. "Nice choice…for playing Matoran games, mask-maker." Matau chuckled.
The girl couldn't help but cross her arms and glare at him. "Says he who went right for the swords, like any kid would."
"Burn." Onewa laughed as Matua stared at Emma in shock, before the Air Toa's eyes narrowed. "Oh yeah? Close-watch this!" He began to do a series of rapid, swift maneuvers, that were pretty cool-
CRASH!
-up until he leaped into the air and smashed face-first into a nearby pillar.
Emma burst out laughing, leaning against the nearby shaking form of Vakama, who was also laughing as he tried valiantly to keep himself and the girl from falling over.
"Ooh…!" Whenua winced. That had to hurt!
"Nice move Matau!" Onewa laughed, finding enjoyment in this.
Matau groaned as he sat up, shaking away the Gukkos the flew around his head. Looking up, the green Toa blinked as Nokama stepped up in front of him.
The Water Toa chuckled even as she chastised Matau. "Need I remind you, this is about honouring our responsibility to the Great Spirit." She chuckled again as she sauntered towards where the others were gathering, leaving a gaping Toa of Air behind her.
"Nokama's right." Whenua said as the other Toa and Emma joined him. "Mask-maker, you saw Toa Lhikan last, right?"
Vakama looked up surprised, obviously not expecting the question. "Well- uh…"
Nuju decided to add in his own question. "Uh, what did he say we could expect?"
Hesitantly, Vakama took a step forward. "He said…" the Toa Metru of Fire whispered.
"Speak up, fire-spitter!" Onewa snapped, making Vakama flinch instinctively.
"Hey, back off!" Emma snapped at the Stone Toa, stepping forwards and putting herself in his personal space.
"Oh yeah-!" Onewa started, leaning forwards until Nokama stepped between them. "Enough you two!" She scolded, making girl and Toa step back. "Let Vakama speak."
The Fire Toa sighed, realizing that he didn't have much of a choice. "He told me to stop the darkness." He explained as Matau finally joined their circle. "That I had to save the heart of Metru Nui." He became solemn then, recalling earlier events. "Then the Dark Hunters," Vakama broke the news, "took him away. It was because of me…"
Emma winced sadly as Vakama gained a pained look. Ignoring the others' sounds of horror, she made her way back towards the new Toa of Fire. It was then as she looked into his distant eyes that she remembered. Right, she grimaced, the vision. She stepped back just as Vakama swung backwards, the Toa letting out a cry of surprise as he shielded his eyes from something seen only by him.
Nokama was the first to approach and breach his discomfort. "What is it, Vakama? What's wrong?"
"I had a vision, Nokama," the new Toa of Fire breathed, hesitant to share, "I saw Metru Nui in waste… and then replenished, through the power of the six Great Disks."
Onewa looked at him and then said, "All that smelting must have cooked his head."
"l saw it!" Vakama protested frantically. "Metru Nui was destroyed! The six Great Kanoka Disks were headed right for me, and…"
"Thanks for dream-sharing," Matau grumbled, making no effort to keep the doubt out of his voice while he shook his head.
The girl watched with pity as the now very distraught Fire Toa tried to explain what had just happened with the 'Great Disks' to his partially skeptical Toa siblings. Movement caught Emma's attention from the corner of her eye. Glancing upwards, the girl caught sight of a half bird-half bat-like creature watching the new Toa Metru with a vulture's eye. Stupid Nivawk… She growled to herself, narrowing her eyes at the rahi. It took a step back, as though startled she had noticed it.
"Visions can be a sign of madness, yes." The girl heard Nokama say, drawing her out of her thoughts and away from the rahi. "Or messages from the Great Spirit."
Turning her attention back to the Toa, Emma listened as Nokama continued. "But as Toa," she said "we cannot afford to ignore them."
There were a few words said in agreement, so Nokama laid out her idea. "Then it is agreed. Each will recover the Great Disk from our own Metru, and present it to Turaga Dume. He will know what to do."
Onewa butted in right then. "I'm doing this for Lhikan." He growled, poking Nokama in the chest and glaring at Vakama. "No one else." He stormed off to the side, leaving the Fire Toa to lower his head in shame.
Scowling at the stone Toa's retreating back, Emma gently wrapped her arms around Vakama in a hug, surprising him. "Don't worry about him," she murmured, "he's just jealous that he can't have the awesome visions."
Vakama couldn't help but crack a smile at that.
Glancing upwards, Emma spotted the bat-bird flying away. And so it begins…
"But where to start?" Nuju asked, drawing Emma's attention back as she pulled away from Vakama.
"I saw a carving in the temple that might help us," said Nokama. She led them to another portion of the temple to read it. "It says here that the Great Disk's will be found by seeking the unfamiliar within the familiar." Nokama read off the exposed central pillar.
"What does that mean?" Nuju asked.
"I don't know." The Water Toa said, before turning to the Fire Toa. "What do you think, Vakama?"
Vakama did not answer, his eyes holding a far-off look. Then, he started muttering. "Nuhrii the crafter… Orkahm the driver… Vhisola the student… Ahkmou the carver… Ehrye the messenger… and Tehutti the archivist…" his eyes cleared a little as he came out of his vision, before he said, "They can decipher the riddles. They can help us find the Great Disks. But beware of a Dark Hunter who walks on four legs, and a lumbering brute as his partner."
"I'm saying it again," Onewa grumbled, "your head needs cooling down."
"I trust Vakama." Nokama quickly defended. "If he believes those six Matoran can help us find the disks, then we must seek them out. When we have found them, we will meet back here. Good luck to us all."
"Wait, what about me?" Emma asked, looking between the Toa. "What can I do?"
The Toa looked at each other, before Nokama laid a gentle hand on her shoulder. "Emma, I believe that it is best if you were to remain here." She said softly. "And out of sight."
The girl blinked at the Water Toa surprised. "What? Why?"
"One word; Vahki." Whenua answered. "Those mechanical enforcers would not hesitate to capture you and send you to the Archives on Onu-Metru, nor would any Matoran hesitate to call them."
"Huh?" Emma blinked, not understanding.
"Emma, you are, how shall I say this… different." The Earth Toa explained carefully. "You would be seen as a rahi, and placed in a stasis tube to be turned into a living but asleep specimen for… study."
The girl paled at the thought, realizing just how dangerous it was for her outside this room. "So, what do I do?" She whimpered, trembling at the thought of being put into an endless sleep.
Nokama gently hugged her, realizing how spooked the girl was. "Just stay here." The Water Toa instructed softly. "No one will enter this chamber without a good reason."
"And if you hear someone coming, you can hide up there." Whenua pointed to a ledge up on one of the walls. "A Matoran wouldn't be able to see you from there."
Emma took a moment to calm herself, before sighing and nodding. "A…Alright." She said softly, and Nokama gently let her go. "We'll be back as quick as we can," the Water Toa assured her, "promise."
The girl gave the Toa a weak smile, before watching them depart one by one. Sighing once she was alone, she looked around the chamber. And… alone. She thought to herself. Looking up at the ledge Whenua had pointed out to her, Emma decided to climb up to it. She grunted, pulling herself up a pillar before somehow managing to swing a leg onto the ledge, and then scramble onto it. The girl leaned against the wall with a sigh, before taking her bag off and setting it beside her.
After just looking around the chamber for a few minutes, boredom took over. Damn… how long will I have to hide here? Emma thought to herself, before leaving her bag on the ledge and climbing back down. Might as well explore the place, since it's not every day you wind up in a sacred temple in another universe.
A/N – And done! What do you think of the new version so far? Yeah, I was considering posting all at once to lessen the clashes of old verses new… but I decided against it!
By the way, BIG shout out to the author MakutaMutran! He's been posting stories that contain ALL the canon stuff, all nicely organized for our reading pleasure! It's the whole plot combination from the books, comics, animations and the movies all thrown in together! He's given me permission to use his stories as a base to build my plot on, since I only have access to the online comics and the movies *sheepish* so his stories have been a big help. He's even taken the liberty of filling in some accidental plot holes the original producers made!
So yeah, big shout out to him, and I am so happy to finally be able to read the storyline without having to guess what their saying from wiki.
Next Chapter – Dangers in the Shadows
(Oooooh… ominous!)
