The following morning Takumi wakes up to some hot soup on the small table with a note, he grabs the note and opens it with his free hand since Misaki still had his other hand with no signs of letting go.
'We didn't want to disturb your guys while you slept. I put her medicine in the soup to help her restore her blood. Eve told everyone she is a good demon already after she saw her holding your hand like her life depended on it, try and get her to eat when she wakes up. From Snow'
He sighs and sets the note down not noticing Misaki was staring at him, she pulls her hand away from him and goes to sit up wincing in pain a little getting Takumi's attention. He helps her sit up and grabs another pillow for her so she had more cushion behind her, he grabs the bowl of soup and stirs it before holding a spoon full up to her.
"Here, this will help you heal a little faster" he says
She looks at the spoon then at him, her stomach gives a loud growl and she sighs then drinks the spoon full of soup shivering at the gross taste "bitter…" she says in disgust
"It can't be that bad" Takumi chuckles
She glares at him "than you try it!" she barks at him
He looks at the soup bowl and scoops some up taking a bit freezing as soon as the soup hit his taste buds, he swallows it as best he could and coughs a little.
"Okay its gross, ill go add something to it so it tastes better" he says getting up walking out of the room.
Misaki watches him leave before looking out the window seeing all the people running around doing work or just mingling, she saw some kids running around playing tag the youngest of the kids trips over a rock and starts to fall. Misaki's ears go up in alert and holds her hand up and it catches on fire, outside just before the kid hit the ground a fire shows up for a second and acted like a pillow so the kid didn't get hurt and then it vanished. He kid looks around fast and gets up before going back to playing, Misaki lets out a sigh and lowers her hand.
"I knew you were a good person" Takumi says behind her making her go stiff
She glances over at him then looks away again "of course I am… did you fix the soup?" she asks still not looking at him
"Yep, It's still a little bitter but this is as best as I can make it" he says holding out the spoon again
"I can feed myself you know!" she growls out
"With your shaky hands? You would end up getting more on the bed than in your mouth, just let me help you" he says smiling at her
She lets out a growl and bites the spoon glaring at him the whole time until she was finished with the soup "I hate your stupid smile…" she looks away and out the window
'well at least she seems to have more energy than before, demons must heal faster then I thought' Takumi thinks to himself "I'm going to see the doctor and let him know your doing okay, ill be back in a little while" Takumi says taking the empty bowl with him
She ignores him at first "I'll be here when you get back…" she says quietly after he already left, she sighs heavily looking down at her lap.
"I want to trust him but that would be letting him in to easy…" she says to herself
Eve peaks around the corner of the door "um… I'm glad to see you're able to sit up Miss Fox" Eve says
Misaki looks at the door way "yeah, so am I… who might you be?" Misaki asks
Eve smiles "my name is Eve, I'm Takumi's sister" she says
Misaki smiles "I heard you pulled me from the river and got me help, thank you for saving me Eve… my name is Misaki" Misaki says and pats the side of the bed for Eve to come in and sit.
Eve looks around the hall for her brother before walking over to the bed and sits down next to Misaki "I was really worried about you, I didn't get much sleep. I had to sleep at Snow's house the doctor that treated your wounds because they didn't know if you would try to attack or anything" Eve says
"I don't blame them for thinking that, I am a demon in a weak state. If I felt like my life was in danger I would attack… but your brother was nice to me and showed me it was okay, well for the most part…" Misaki says
Eve hums "me and Dr. Snow came this morning to drop off some soup and you were holding onto brothers hand really tight, so I think deep down you already trust my brother" Eve smiles brightly
"He grabbed my hand first and then I just fell asleep" Misaki grumbles with a slight blush to her cheeks making Eve giggle.
The two talked for a while until they heard the front door open and close, Eve goes to get up but her legs didn't want to work properly and she starts to fall off the bed face first. Misaki reaches out fast grabbing onto her shirt and pulls her back up and Eve falls back onto Misaki's lap wide eyed at first before both of them look at each other and start to laugh just as Takumi walks in. He watches as Misaki laughs, seeing her smiling and laughing made his heart beat a little faster.
"Did I miss something good?" he asks
Eve wipes her eyes "nothing, nothing happened" she giggles
"She almost kissed the floor" Misaki chuckles
"Ah?! Misaki you were supposed to go along with me!" Eve whines
"was I now, I don't remember making any promise" Misaki says before grabbing onto her chest hissing in pain "I laughed to much…" she pants out her ears low on her head
Eve gets up fast worried "oh no! I'm sorry, I made it hurt" Eve started to panic
"It's not your fault Eve…" Misaki says giving her best smile "I think I'm going to lie down for a little" she says slowly laying down, Takumi rushes over and helps her so she didn't hurt herself anymore, and as soon as her head hit the pillow she was already asleep.
"Sorry I came over without you here, I was really worried…" Eve says looking down at her feet
He gives her a soft smile and pats her head messing up her hair "its alright, Misaki isn't a bad demon and now we can both look after her while she recovers" Takumi says leaning down giving his little sister a kiss on the head.
"Do you think she has anywhere to go once she is better?" Eve asks hopping off the bed without falling over this time.
Takumi gives a frown and shakes his head "I don't think so, I don't know what happened but I think she was chased out of her home by hunters. Last night she was crying not sure if she was safe here…" he says moving some of Misaki's hair out of her face "lets head out and get some work done and let her sleep" he smiles at his sister and heads out the door.
Eve looks at her brother leave then at Misaki and couldn't help but to give a big smile "I hope you stay with us after your done healing, good night Misaki" she runs over to her giving her a small kiss on the cheek before running off to help her brother.
Misaki ended up sleeping most of the day away, she opens her eyes needing to use the bathroom. She looks around not seeing Takumi there or Eve, she pushes the blankets off and slowly swings her legs over the side of the bed. First attempt to stand was a fail making her growl in frustration, she tries again and stands the second try. Her feet were healed already but they still hurt like hell, in fact the only wound not fully healed was her chest wound. While she was in there she took the bandages there were no longer needed seeing only faint scars that would fade soon as well, as she looks at her scars she realizes she was naked "guess it would have been hard to dress me with all the injuries I had" she says to herself and makes her way out of the bathroom just as Takumi and Eve walk into the room seeing her able to stand up now.
"Brother get out!" Eve shouts pushing her brother but he didn't budge instead he walks over to Misaki to inspect her wounds seeing most of them were healed up. Eve was blushing covering her eyes turning around embarrassed, how could her brother be so calm about this?! He was touching all over Misaki's body and she was okay with it to!
"Mind if I have a look at the wound on your chest as well?" Takumi asks
Misaki sighs "fine, but that one is still the same as before" she says holding her arms up letting him take the bandages off and looks over Takumi's shoulder seeing Eve turned around "what's wrong Eve?" she asks a little amused at the young girls reaction "would you like to come over and pet my tail? My fur is a mess from lying down and it's hard for me to brush it"
Eve turns around looking down seeing Misaki's tail swaying a little before it sets on bed "okay… um ill go grab a brush" Eve says and runs off getting a giggle from Misaki
"Kids are so innocent" she says looking down at Takumi who just finished with taking the wraps off "I got this wound from a hunter. My guess is he had some kind of poison in the bullet preventing me for healing it." Misaki says seeing Takumi frown "ah… it will heal up just fine it just needs a bit longer" she adds to get him to feel better but it didn't work that much "look Takumi, I'm a demon so my pain tolerance is way higher than yours so this is nothing" she says pinching his cheeks really hard making him pull back.
"ow, what was that for?" he says holding his cheeks
"That was for feeling sorry for me idiot, you shouldn't show such feeling to a demon" she says sitting on the bed "Eve you can come in you know"
Takumi looks back at the door seeing Eve come in still blushing making him chuckle "shouldn't I be the one embarrassed" he says
"I'm not embarrassed!" Eve huffs climbing onto the bed and starts to brush Misaki's tail
Misaki's ears go up just before there was a knock at the door, Takumi goes to see who it was while Eve continues to brush Misaki's tail.
Takumi opens the door to find Snow with his medical bag "good afternoon Snow, here to check on Misaki?" he asks
"So that's her name huh? I glad to see she didn't attack you the other night" he laughs stepping into the house and starts heading to the room "so how are her wounds doing?" he asks while they head to the room.
"Well… the only wound not healing is her chest, she said a hunter had poison in the bullet to stop her from healing it" Takumi says
Snow slows down a little and hums "silver dust would be my guess, and if that's the case she could every well end up dying from it and she knows it." he says quietly so Eve wouldn't hear him.
Takumi stops walking and stands there in shock "there has to be a way to save her!" he tried not to shout it
"I'm not sure if there is a way" Snow says sadly as he walks into the room seeing Misaki touching her chest gently before looking up at the doctor "unless you know a way that your not willing to share" he adds seeing the look in her eyes
"I do know of a way, but its one I do not wish to share with everyone. Its something I wouldn't really be proud of doing" Misaki says rubbing her head a bit
Eve looks at Misaki curious "what are you talking about?"
"Its nothing, just grown up talk" Misaki smiles at her "anyway thanks to you Snow most of my wounds have closed up so I am in your debt" she bows her head
Snow smiles kindly "it was no problem, it was nice meeting you while you were awake. Once you're able to move around more you should stop by for some tea" Snow says as he turns to head out "Eve I could use your help with some of my next patients, would you mind?" Snow glances back
"Sure!" Eve puts the brush down and goes with the doctor leaving Misaki alone with Takumi.
The two sat there for a while not saying a word, Takumi was staring at Misaki while she was avoiding looking at him. She already knew what he was going to say but he was being hesitant, she starts to get annoyed waiting for him to talk.
"If you got something to say just say it already, this silence is getting on my nerve" she growls out
"How do you heal your wound" He says not taking his eyes off her
She turns and looks him in the eyes "if I told you I doubt you would even consider" she says
"If you don't tell me maybe I should go find a random demon out in the forest and ask them instead" he says crossing his arms
Misaki was a little surprised "wha… are you crazy?! If you did that they would just eat you!" she barks out
"Then tell me how to save you and I wont do something that stupid" he smiles making Misaki let out a heavy sigh
"I'm not going to win this am I… fine, the only way I would be able to heal this wound is human blood" she says seeing he was going to ask something "I don't know how much blood I would need though so its to risky to simply bite you, its easy for a demon to loose control and take to much blood killing the human" she says putting her tail in her lap
Takumi thinks for a second "what if I took my own blood and give it to you little by little?" he asks
"that might work but human blood looses effectiveness after a bit once exposed to the elements and I don't see you getting a hold of blood bags that easy" she says "this is why I didn't want to say anything because its to troubling so just… forget… what are you doing?" she asks seeing him walking over to her, she could smell blood on him but didn't see any leaving her confused a little but not for long.
