The next morning Padme wakes up and looks over to see that Anakin must have already gotten up. She lays there seeing if she can hear the kids, if they are up. She hears Luke laughing downstairs and Anakin saying something she couldn't quite make out. She sighs in relief knowing Anakin must have gotten up with the kids and let her sleep. She rolls over and grabs her personal computer pad. She turns it on and decides to see what is happening back on Coruscant. She sees just recently Bail made a speech and decides to watch it.
I told him he would make a great Chancellor.
"I know many of you have been asking about the recent attacks happening to smaller planets in the outer rim. The Senate and I have been trying to figure out who is behind the attacks and I don't know how to say this, but we believe there is a new threat to the Republic." she gasps watching Bail say this.
"I'm not trying to frighten anyone. I just believe you should know. We are working with the Jedi and we will stop this threat before it becomes worse." He continues saying before the speech before Padme turns in off not wanting to hear more.
Padme sits there trying to process what she has just heard. She thinks back to Anakin dream from last night and wonders if the two could be contacted. She quickly jumps out of bed and grabs her robe before heading down stairs.
She sees Anakin on the ground playing with Luke and Leia. "Well guys look who finally decided to get up." He smirks up at her before it quickly fade seeing the concern on her face. "What's wrong? Are you made I didn't wake you? Because i just thought just last night you might want to sleep."
"We need to actually talk about your dream. No more walking away and shutting me out. I just watched a speech from Bail and he said there has been attacks recently in the outer rim and he believes a new threat might be arising."
"A new threat? But that is impossible. All the Sith that we know off have been destroyed and I feel like I would sense some sort of disturbance in the force if that where to change."
"Palpatine and I literally were right under your's and all the Jedi's noses and no one caught on until we revealed ourselves. You literally talked to us both like everyday." she looks at him annoyed.
Trying to think of what to say. "Yea. Well. That was different."
"Your almighty force isn't also the best sense of judgment , clearly."
Anakin puts the kids in the little pack and play they have down here and takes Padme into the kitchen.
"Padme. I don't want you to worry. I'm sure it is it fine."
"It is clearly not fine. You having a dream about someone taking our children at the same time there are attacks happening to other planets." she says frustrated.
"I'm sure it's probably a small group of pirates or sometime going rouge. Nothing Obi-wan and Yoda can't handle."
"I think we need to go back. We need to talk to someone about your dream this time."
"We aren't going back to Coruscant. They will arrest us the moment we arrive." He says starting to get irritated.
"But Obi-wan he can help."
"I can take care of my family without him. We will get through this and figure it out. I promise you. We just might have to take extra precaution."
''I don't like this idea of not doing anything." She crosses her arms.
"I promise you I won't let anything happen to you or Luke and Leia." he strokes her face and lifts it up to look at him.
"Have you every thought your arrogance might be your down fall."
"You aren't the first person to tell me that and look at me I'm still kicking aren't I?." he grins at her.
"For now." she says turning around and going up stairs.
Later that night as Padme is laying in bed, Anakin comes up and kneels on the floor next to her so he is looking at her face.
"Are you still not talking to me. It's been all day. I miss your little stubborn remarks" he asks.
"I just wish you would take this a little more seriously." she says annoyed.
"I feel like you forget I was the chosen one and it was said i would destroy the Sith and what did I do?" he grins that stupid grin that she hates that she loves.
She grabs her pillow and starts to hit him with it.
"Hey. hey"He says laughing grabbing her wrist after managing to get the pillow out of her hands and gets on top of her.
She groans, "This isn't fair."
"True but in my defense you were attacking me."
She tries to get him off as he just laughs at her. She gives up.
"Better" he kisses her as he rolls off her and lays next to her. " And look we are talking now."
She glares at him and turns around.
"And you say i'm the stubborn one." he huffs.
She is awaken by Anakin yelling her name. She opens her eyes just as Anakin grabs her and drives off the bed. She looks at her pillow right where she was laying just a few seconds ago as bullet hits it causing the pillow to explode as feathers go everywhere.
"Grab the kids we need to go now." Anakin says before quickly grabbing the two guns they hide under the bed throwing one to her. She sees another bullet hits the wall behind her. She looks around not even seeing where this is coming from.
She runs into Luke and Leia's room as she hears glasses breaking and more shooting. She quickly picks up Leia and attaches her blaster to her side to her side before grabbing Luke. She notices besides the kids screaming its more shooting. She slowly looks out into the hallway and doesn't see Anakin. She starts to panic, but still manages to run downstairs. She goes to open the door before feeling a hand on her shoulder. Since she is holding both kids and can't grab her blaster, she spins around and kicks whoever it is in the side. She looks at the person she kicked to see it was Anakin.
"Why would you sneak up on me like? I would have blasted you if my hands weren't full" She yells at him.
"Hey. I'm sorry. I, um, I killed whoever it was." he tells her and she sees finally that he looks worried about all this.
"I told you. I told you. I wanted to do something before something like this happened." she groans in frustrated. "You are just lucky my hands are full right now."
Anakin grabs Luke from her arms. "Come up stairs with me." he asks her.
She follows him up the stairs and he leads her to their room. She looks around the room and sees the chaos it is in. There are blaster marks all around, her night stand is broken on the floor as well as their dresser, and next to the bed she sees legs that must belong to the shooter. She walks over to get a better look. The person is wearing all black and a black mask. Nothing about the shooters appearance looks familiar to her.
"Do you think it was a bounty hunter?" She asks.
"I'm not sure, but i found this." he holds out a lightsaber in his hands as Padme gasps. "I don't think who ever this was was trained very well. They would have easily been able to take me down when all i have is a blaster."
"Not even that Jedi or Sith don't use blasters. But-But where would they have gotten a lightsaber from?" she asks.
"I'm not sure, but we might actually be going back to Coruscant sooner than I thought." he sighs.
"Ani, you don't think this was your dream was it? Do you think we stopped it?"
"I mean maybe, but I don't think so."
"How did they even find us?"
"I guess we didn't do as good of a job as we thought hiding, but we can continue this conversation later. We need to go someone is going to come looking for this one. Grab a few things and we need to find ourselves a ship."
She quickly packs up a few of her things and Luke and Leia things. After changing their clothes, they leave the house. She stops and looks back at the house. Their house. Their home. She should have know it was too good to be true. They just couldn't live a normal life.
"Padme?" Anakin looks at her before grabbing her hand indicating they really had to leave now and they did.
