A.N I don't own Star Wars

Janus could see his friend get out of his speeder and limped. When he came inside, he rolled his eyes. "Has Windu let the power go to his head?"

"I called him out on it and I was expelled. He also expelled the hero with no fear on the basis of a vision that was made up. Was he disciplined for it, no."

"Windu is a sith in disguise. More padawans have fallen prey to his bullying so he can gain more influence in the order. You know he wants Yoda's position? You want me to get in touch with Eva since the Rebellion is looking for those with intel experience?"

"Would you?"

"I will and considering the Rebellion has a low opinion of the Order. Hold on, that's my comm."

Janus watched Arrun answer his comm. "Eva, what's going on?"

"Dad, I have a week's worth of leave. I wonder if I could bring my boyfriend."

"You are dating Anakin Skywalker? Your mother says the two of you spend a lot of time together. Well, it could be worse? My daughter could be dating a smuggler. When are you coming?"

"Three days"

"I will see you then."

The line went silent and he cracked up. Arrun lived to yank his daughter's chain and he had to be a typical dad. He would rather his daughter date a former Jedi knight and Clone Wars hero than a smuggler.

"You had to pick on her?"

"Absolutely, I am already dreading Talia becoming a teenager."

Janus laughed so hard tears were coming down. Dina showed him Luke's old room. "We don't mind besides, Luke hadn't slept in here since he was a teenager."

Anakin had flown with Eva to Yavin IV and meeting her parents was actually scarier than meeting the Naberries. After all, they had been in the order like him and he is divorced. Eva knew about him being a slave and she never once judged him for it. Padme, it had almost been like pitty.

"Ani, relax. My parents don't bite. My father will give you a mild interrogation session but mostly, he will bring out the old baby hollos to horrify me. If you are worried because you are divorced, they will understand. My mother, just compliment her cooking and you will be the new golden child in her eyes."

Anakin and Eva had used refugee transport ships to travel to. Imperial officials are barred from even setting foot on them so it would be easy to hide. They landed at the spaceport and took a taxi to their home.

A woman with greying blonde hair came out. "Eva, you don't come home enough! You must be Anakin and no, none of this Master Trevers nonsense. I haven't been in the Order for almost thirty standard years."

Anakin was laughing. He carried their packs inside. He dropped Eva's off in her room and he was shown to the guest room. He put his pack down and found Eva in her parents' dining room.

"Anakin, we do have a member of the Order who was kicked out. Are you familiar with Knight Erol? He had been a friend of ours when we were in the Order. Apparently he dared to question Mace and was kicked out."

Anakin began laughing because he could see it happening. "I know him alright. It shouldn't be that hard to vouch for a former knight."

While Anakin waited for Arrun and Jannus, Padme was learning some awful truths. Apparently Anakin's last name was so unusual that Romel Taro, a researcher to the government on Naboo had done some digging.

"Skywalker is not a common name in the Republic. In fact, Anakin is the first time it has been registered. I checked into the human immigration to Tatooine. There was no Skywalker that was born there. It led me to Korisaw. It's way out there on the outer rim."

"Korisaw, where have I heard that name?"

"Korisaw's economy is their gem mines and their jewelry making. It's not costume jewelry, it is what only the wealthiest can afford. Apparently King Anakin Skywalker had lost his son to an enemy. His daughter-in-law, Princess Shmi Skywalker had been pregnant with the heir but she had been kidnapped the day after Anakin was born."

When Padme saw the hollo of King Anakin Skywalker, she felt bile in her throat. Apparently she had been married to a prince and didn't even know it.

"Korisaw wasn't a part of the Republic, in fact, they have refused to join for years. The only reason why the Empire would want them is for their wealth."

"You would be correct. They are the richest planet in the galaxy. The poorest citizen lives the life of the upper-middle class on most planets, including Naboo. However, their military is more advanced than the Empire's. It would take the Empire at least fifty standard years to catch up to Korisaw but they will be ahead even then. That planet would be compatible with someone from Naboo?"

"What makes you say that?"

"Naboo is a matriarchal planet. It has been for centuries. Korisaw is egalitarian. Practices like given females preferential treatment for university admissions and positions within the government doesn't happen there. They want to see how you are qualified. I wouldn't be surprised if some ambassador from Korisaw makes contact with the Rebellion."

Padme knew she kriffed up big time. Instead of blindly trusting the Jedi, she should have spoken to Anakin. If someone was making vile accusations against her, he would have done everything in power to get to the bottom of it. If she had done the right thing, her career would have survived. The Republic would have survived. She would have supported him when he would have learned the truth of how he ended up slavery.

Instead, she knew Anakin was on the fast track of becoming an admiral in the Rebellion. Anakin had some major success in destroying the Empire and within the first few months of the Empire has managed to wipe out a quarter of the Imperial fleet with no civilian casualties.

On Korisaw, Everet Kanning, the king's closest advisor had been tasked with searching for the king's grandson and with King Anakin on his deathbed, there wasn't much time. That was when Nora Darwar, chief of Korisaw Intelligence came in.

"Your highness, your grandson has been found. I have dispatched Ambassador Rose to the Rebellion to speak with the prince. This is the report and a current hollo of him.

Anakin looked at the hollo of his namesake and gasped. Anakin looked like he did when he was in his twenties. Then he saw he had been a slave and Shmi had passed away almost five standard years ago. It gets worse, apparently, due to some made-up accusations, Anakin's wife divorces him. Former Senator Amidala is going to be in for a rude awakening when she learns what she did.

Back on Yavin IV, Anakin made it through the interaction with Arrun and he felt comfortable with his daughter dating Anakin. As far as Anakin's ex-wife goes, she can go swim in lava. He knew what Mace could do to those he didn't deem worthy of being in the Order. He knew being force sensitive is genetic. It was obvious with Luke and Eva, even with Talia.

Janus had a chance to speak with Anakin and Eva. "Anakin, unlike the rest of the Council, I never bought into their nonsense that you are dark or that you were going to turn dark. I was expelled from the Order for calling Windu out on his nonsense."

Anakin breathed a sigh of relief. While there were numerous knights, padawans, and masters who treated him like a second class citizen, Janus did not.

"There's got to be a way to take Windu down several pegs. I overheard the conversation he had with Bail Organa in the hanger. I was working on my x-wing and hid my presence within the force. Force, he said the Jedi deserve a stake in the Rebellion because they were nearly wiped out. Organa sent him packing."

All of the older former knights were laughing at this. It was a good thing Talia wasn't home. The little one attended a nursery school and they were on a field trip. That was when Eva spoke up.

"What Windu is doing is destroying what little of you are left. I agree with Anakin, there has to be a way to take Windu and those who support his line of thinking down several pegs. No one should use something such as a vision to make a life-altering decision. If you make an accusation as serious as that, you need solid evidence. It should be easy to vouch for you to get you into the Rebellion."

What the former Jedi knights did not know is something was being done about Mace. That is several knights, masters, and padawans were leaving the Order. They knew there was no stopping Mace. Breaking up was safer anyway because it would be easier for the Empire to find them on Dagobah. Yoda knew he was the one who failed the Jedi. He should have expelled Mace years ago for the bullying and targeting padawans he didn't like. Mace should have been kicked off the council for his underhanded tactics of getting on. Even worse, he should have faced discipline for making up all of the lies of visions of padawans and knights going on "dark".

Back at the Rebellion home base, Bail Organa was dealing with Ambassador Rose. He almost choked when she gave the full story of how Anakin and Shmi Skywalker ended up as slaves and how Anakin is a prince.

"Ambassador, right now Anakin is on leave. He is on Yavin IV right now. I know Korisaw wants to stay out of the war…"

"Who do you think funds the Galactic Destruction of Slavery? Philanthropy is important on Korisaw and what ultimately lead to finding the prince."

Bail was impressed because a philanthropic organization that fights slavery and is not Republic funded would draw in a former slave. Anakin's work with them was impressive and he knew Anakin had been teaching mechanics to the former slaves which is a highly desired skill that would lead them to a good job.
