Chapter 2:
Hey guys, since I already had this idea planned out in my head, I won't have any issues with putting out the 2nd chapter the day after the 1st one. Don't get used to day by day updates tho ^_^.
As I said, you'll see some pretty big resemblance between this story and The Seven Deadly Sins main plot, so don't be surprised when you spot them. Keep in mind this is still part of the introduction to the story.
Hope you enjoy ^_^
The next morning, Lucy woke up in Natsu's arms, which in turn, was sleeping peacefully with a blissful smile on his face. The Celestial wizard stood and watched him for a little before getting up, and preparing breakfast for the two of them. She used her magic to summon the ingredients she would need to get some food ready and got to work, she had some time to kill before going back to the main city of the Celestial Wizards, Aden.
Natsu was in his human appearance, gathering some firewood not too far away from his home. The War between the two Main Clans of the continent had finally ended, and both him and Lucy have decided to move together to a remote part of Gracia, where they could finally live their life together, and focus on their newest challenge…
He suddenly heard a very young voice calling out to him from far away;
"Daddy, Daddy!"
Natsu turned around to see where the voice was coming from, until he spotted his little princess, running towards him. This instantly put a smile on his face as she jumped on him, causing both of them to fall on the ground.
Both of them started laughing as the shock from Nashi jumping on Natsu caught him completely by surprise. Who thought that the Mighty Prince of the Demon Race could get caught off guard by a 6 Year old girl.
"What's up sweetie?" he asked with a smile on his face
"Mommy said its time to come home and eat! She prepared your favourite meal!" the little girl replied
As soon as he heard that last line, Natsu's day became even better than it already was. Lucy's own creation, something she named Poo-Tine… Even in his own mind, he probably mispronounced it, but it was a heavenly combination of weirdly shaped potatoes, cooked with cheese and a secret sauce that only Lucy knew how to make…
Natsu finally himself up, picked Nashi on his shoulders, and decided to do one of her favourite things of all time… Pretend to turn himself into a dragon and run as fast as he can towards back home.
"Are you ready sweetie? You know what time it is" he asked with a smirk on his face. The little girl giggled and replied;
"FLY DRAGON FLY!"
This was all Natsu needed to start sprinting back home towards his love, while also holding on to Nashi, to make sure she doesn't fall while he's running.
They had finally gotten home, where the taste of Lucy's wonderful meal was already driving Natsu insane.
He dropped his little girl softly, patted her, and joined her as they walked through the door, and sat down at the table, which was almost full with food.
"There we go, finally my dragons came back home, who knew that the way to get you two to listen was through your stomach!" Lucy smiled as she said that last sentence, as she knew that both her Husband and her daughter agreed with that, but would never admit it out loud.
"Yea, yea, if you say so… Now where's the food!" Natsu could never hold back his happiness when it came to Lucy's meals, this was pretty obvious by now.
"Calm down hothead, I got it right here" she replied as she came in with a full pot of her famous dish, and split it into 3 plates.
Natsu's face couldn't show anymore happiness at once, this was one of his favourite moments in life, no matter how many times he has had this meal so far.
"Thanks for the meal!" both him and Nashi yelled out
After supper, Natsu helped Lucy in clearing the dishes, and tucking Nashi in for the night. Natsu was in a state of actual bliss. He was finally happy, and his life looked up after the end of the war. Nothing could go wrong at this point, and he knew it.
He turned to look at Lucy's face, and noticed she was exhausted from all the work she did during the day.
"You know, I can finish these dishes by myself, you go and get yourself some rest, I'll join you right after" Natsu said with a heartwarming smile on his face.
"Thanks sweetie, you really are the best!" Lucy leaned in and dropped a peck on his cheek, and walked away after giving him a wink.
15 minutes later
Natsu had finally finished the dishes, and joined Lucy in their room, where he noticed she was already fast asleep. He walked up to Lucy's side of the bed, kissed her forehead and then…
Natsu slowly woke up from his dream, his brain having some real trouble as to understand how this dream could have been so detailed and so realistic. He was almost sure that it was real, but clearly, it wasn't. He was back in the cave behind the waterfall, where he had spent the previous night with Lucy. At least that part wasn't just a dream, he thought to himself.
Lucy had noticed Natsu had finally woken up, and had already prepared breakfast for both of them.
"Good morning sleepyhead!" she said with a bright smile on his face
Natsu just got up, walked to her, and pulled her in for a hug, which surprised Lucy.
"What's going on Natsu?" she asked
"Nothing to worry about, baby, but I just want you to know, that no matter what happens, no matter what I have to sacrifice, nothing will get in the way of us and our future. I promise." he replied calmly
Lucy realized that Natsu must have been worried about the upcoming battle, and just silently accepted what he had told her.
They stayed in each other's arms for another 20 minutes, both locked in their own thoughts…
Well, there we go, hope you guys enjoyed this chapter too, my lack of sleep is catching up to me and I have a feeling the quality of my writing is degrading too, but that's a minor detail.
Once again, any kind of criticism is appreciated.
Hope you guys have a wonderful day/night, wherever you are ^_^
