"Gramps, why the spear?" Raven asked Sigul.

"Well, it's a good beginner's weapon... and uhh, I kinda forgot the practice swords back home. HAHAHAHA!" Sigul rubbed his head, laughing loudly. We were actually from a village in Sanus called Verdant, it was about 20 kilometers away from Vale but a large amount of grimm was spotted coming closer to the village. We tried to contact the hunters but nobody came. So the village leader wanted us to pack our stuff and move away from the village. Some people stayed but there were only a few, and we actually split up from the main group 2 days ago.

"Do you even know how to use a spear, Gramps?" I asked him since his weapon was a broad sword that turned into RPG. Hardcore much.

"Of course, I know! I learnt every fighting style I could, though I focused on the broad sword in the end." he smiled while thumping his chest.

"You promised that you'll teach us how to use a katana. " Raven pouted at him.

"Ahh, sorry. But you'll still need to learn how to use a tanto since ya are pretty small." Sigul cheekily said to her. Raven pouted even more (is that possible? I think so).

"I'M NO-" Raven almost shouted but I covered her mouth.

"Shh, we're in the forest remember?" I scolded her gently. I slowly uncovered her mouth to see that she was pouting and her eyes was slightly teary.

"Sorry..." Raven apologized and Sigul kneeled while patting her shoulder. Not the head or she'll be angry you messed up her hair. Yang got it from her huh...

"Don't worry about it, just don't do it again okay.. " Sigul smiled reassuringly to her. Sigul stood up brushed off the dust from his knees.

"Come on, stop crying already or you'll be left in the dust by the powerful Qrow." I playfully punched her shoulder. She turned towards me while her trademark smirk slowly came back. "Hoh, are you challenging me, slowpoke?" she asked me while crossing her arms. Was that a Jojo reference or something? I think so..

"Well, you'll be 'slowpoking' your spear if you continue crying." Yeah, I love puns.. Raven and Sigul collectively groaned at the same time.

"Alright,let's just get this over with." Sigul sighed.

Have you had that feeling where your body felt heavy like lead? Guhhh, that's what happened to me, due to Sigul's training... He made us spar against him after teaching us how to hold a spear properly. And just went to town with us, metaphorically speaking.

I stood up not even feeling tired anymore. I look to the side to see Raven still on the ground panting. Sigul looked at me surprised but just shrugged "Let's pack up and go the nearby village. Should be only 4 hours away." I nodded while Raven slowly got up. I offered a hand to her which she took. She raised an eyebrow towards me and said "Weren't you tired seconds ago?". I just smirked at her and said "Isn't acting useful?". Her eyes just had this glint which just sent shivers down my spine. "Ohh, I'm telling Gramps." FUCKKK. "But, I won't so you owe me a favor." that glint in her eyes remained. "Fine, fine..." I just accepted my fate.

I went to pack our tent and I was surprised that the entire bag, I was carrying was lighter than before. Raven also packed her stuff but she was really tired so I offered to carry it for her. She raised an eyebrow at me but she gave in and made me carry her bag. Yes, favor done!

She whispered into my ear "Just so you know, this isn't a favor since you offered to carry my bag yourself." she skipped away cheerfully.

I raised my finger, but no words came out. Eventually, I just accepted my fate again. Sighing, we went on our way to the next village.

I was getting pretty tired from walking and carrying bags though we were near the village when I hear another..

"OOGA BOOGA!" I shouted running off towards the village. "Identify yourself!" a person clad in light-armor carrying a sword and shield stopped me from entering the gate. I was going to speak when Gramps suddenly showed up behind me.

"Ahh, sorry 'bout that Chuck, my grandson was just excited to be near settlement." Is it just me or is 'Chuck' vibrating in place? "Sigul Branwen?! The Sigul Branwen?!" he exclaimed excitedly.

"Wait, what?" Raven and I said at the same time.
