Three men in purple uniforms approached the Elric family household, ready to see the daughter of the Fullmetal Alchemist. They knocked on the door. Edward answered it.
"Hello." Edward said. "Who are you guys?"
"We are from the United Alchemist Nations." The man said. "Since you were the brave hero who saved the world from the Homunculi, we wanted to see your daughter."
"Trisha, get over here now!" Edward told Trisha.
"That's right, I'm Trisha, in the flesh!" Trisha said in an energetic tone, seen in her black and dark green gothic attire.
"You sure this is her?" The man said.
"Yea, this is her." Edward said. "She wants to be her own person, so she took my old style and amped it up to eleven."
"Interesting." The man said. "Miss Trisha, we have some training to do." Trisha and the guards began training.
"Show us how far you have gotten." The guards said. They used alchemy to summon spears. They charged at Trisha. Trisha used an alchemical kick to the ground, using the dragon's pulse, since there was no Father underground to generate seismic energy from. She created stone pillars to punch the guards, taking them out.
"Nicely done!" The guard said. "Ever since Father has been no more, the Amestrian energy for alchemy is the dragon's pulse."
"So, what now?" Trisha asked.
"Now you get some rest." The guard said.
"But I want to see the world, explore things!" Trisha complained. "Like my father told me, it's a big world out there."
"You are staying home and that is final." The guard said.
Edward was looking at his pocket watch, remembering all the sacrifice he went through in his past. He was interrupted from his flashback by the call of his daughter.
"Edward, the guards are locking me indoors like they own the place." Trisha told her dad.
"Trisha girl, that is because the world just isn't ready for another Elric, not after what happened over twenty years ago."
"But I want to carry on your legacy." Trisha said.
"We will talk more during dinner that is being prepared by Winry and Aaron." Edward said. "Go and help them with cooking, they will appreciate it." Trisha went to help her mom and her brother with dinner.
"Hey sis, we are making beef stew!" Aaron said. "Daddy used to love beef stew!"
"That is why we are cooking it." Winry explained. "Go and chop some carrots and potatoes to put in the stew." Trisha chopped the carrots and potatoes, put them in the stew, preparing it for it to be ready to eat.
Dinner was ready, as Trisha, Aaron, Winry, and Ed were sitting round the table with the alchemist guards. Trisha was eating her stew along with her family, munching on potatoes, carrots and green beans. The guards loved the stew, sending compliments to the chefs.
"So Trisha." The guard said. "We are offering you the position of being a bounty hunter for the United Alchemist Nations." Trisha spewed out her stew, doing a spit take.
"Dammit!" Trisha shrieked. "Can't I get a heads up before I eat my delicious stew?"
"Well you certainly cannot become an Amestrian State Alchemist due to war reparations the Allied Forces have placed on Amestris." the guard said. "Are you in, or are you out?"
"I am in." Trisha said.
"Good." The guard said. "First, I need to show you to Izumi's son, Michael Curtis." Michael came in the room. He was a tan skinned man with long black hair and a mustache, and wore a dark blue coat, a white shirt, grey pants, and brown shoes. He had a pin with the logo of the United Alchemist Nations, a purple transmutation circle consisting of the basic circle, three small triangles, a larger triangle, and Ed's Flamel Crest.
"The pin, why was purple chosen as the color of the United Alchemist Nations?" Trisha asked.
"Well Trisha." The guard said. Purple was chosen because it is the focal point in alchemy, the color that brings people together, and that is the mission statement of the United Alchemist Nations, making it an international color." Everyone had finished dinner, including Trisha and the guards. Trisha went to pack her suitcases ready to go, but Winry came up to greet her.
"Trisha..." Winry told her daughter. "I wanted you to have this." Winry handed Trisha Ed's old red coat. "Ed wore this when he was a state alchemist for the Amestrian Military, but now that he is not a State Alchemist anymore, he gave it to me. It's yours now." Winry handed Trisha the coat. She transmuted it to dark green with the Flamel logo silver, placing it in her suitcase.
"Thank you." Trisha said.
"You're welcome sweetie." Winry told her daughter. "Ed's time has passed, it's your time now. Go and get some rest, you have a big day ahead of you." Trisha laid down to rest sleeping, and awoke the next morning. She was ready prepared to begin her journey.
