Here's chapter two, plz leave a review idk how well my writing is.
Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, age : 22. Ruby started doing research on her new client. It wasn't hard to find out the basic information about her. Her father married into the family at a young age, she has 2 other siblings. Winter Schnee, 26 years old and in the military, don't want to have her notice me… Whitley Schnee, 18 years old, from what it seems he gets into a lot of legal trouble, mostly being drunk and disorderly in public, typical rich teenager shit. Jacques Schnee, too clean, not a single trace of anything bad on the web.
Suspicious, she had heard talk about Jacques during some of her jobs but nothing good, not that any of her clients were really good people…
She put her laptop back on the charger near her bed and started to get ready for her day. Do not engage with the client simply watch from the shadows, same deal as always. Best attire for day work was a casual outfit. She slipped into a pair of ripped jeans and a nice fitted red shirt with a wolf shadow on the front of it. Crescent Rose, check, keys, check, wallet, check, scroll, check, work bag, check, she finished her mental list of everything she needed and grabbed her leather jacket, hiding Crescent Rose on the inside of the jacket and headed out.
The Schnee mansion was far from where Ruby lived, she had woken up before the sun had started to rise to make it there before the heiress' day would start.
Geez I feel like a creep… Except I'm being paid for this.
Weiss liked to walk to her classes despite her father demanding that she get a ride from one of their many chauffeurs. Walking down the street can be… Dangerous? Depending on what street you go down that is. All of the sketchier streets were memorized by Ruby.
Weiss walked out the main doors of her house with a scowl on her face. Alabaster hair pulled neatly into an offset bun, white handbag in hand, matching her white blouse and skirt, and heels much too high to be able to walk in. Except she was speed walking down their driveway, not expecting such haste Ruby moved away from their front gate and stood near a neighbour's fence lighting a cigarette. She didn't smoke but it was an easy way to go unnoticed.
"Ugh, get lung cancer elsewhere!" a voice shrieked at her.
Ruby nearly turned to face the voice but instead walked in the opposite direction.
Shit… I can't let myself get noticed so early on if ever. Why does she even care if someone was smoking here anyways, god.
The click of heels slowly faded and Ruby turned around to follow her from afar. Staying at least a block behind her she followed the white beauty down the streets of high end Atlas. First thing on her agenda should be her singing classes, held in some auditorium 15 minutes from the Schnee mansion.
The building was a work of art, huge stained glass windows, crisp white columns holding up a massive dome ceiling that must be made of more stained glass. Ruby could only imagine what the interior would look like. As she watched Weiss enter the building she noticed the amount of security she had to go through.
I'm not going to make it through that it seems… I doubt anyone who wasn't supposed to be there would be able to get in. Might as well find a place to spend the next while.
The brunette took in her surroundings quickly, lots of tall buildings, a couple fancy restaurants, and a small coffee shop. Definitely going into the coffee shop. Everyone inside looked dressed up as if they had a business meeting soon, which was probably true. A quick glance at the drink menu and she knew what she wanted.
"Dark roast with room for cream please." She stated, while scanning the interior of the small cafe more closely. Looks like 2 people working the morning shift, 2 security cameras in corners, a decent crowd for 9am.
"50 lien please." the barista said. Ruby pulled out a leather wallet and pulled 60 lien out and handed it to the blonde, "Keep the change." She walked over to the coffee bar to wait for her drink, trying to find the sugar along the way.
After getting her hot coffee and ridiculous amount of sugar Ruby sat in the corner near the large glass window. It had a perfect view of the auditorium door. Opening up her leather backpack she reached inside and grabbed a book, at least this way I'll blend in a bit more, Ruby thought as she opened the book to her bookmarked page.
As the minutes passed she would check out the window of the cafe, around 10am though she noticed something strange. A group of men clearly not from the area outside the cafe staring at the auditorium and walking towards it. Ruby watched with narrow eyes as the group of men stopped in front of the building then turned and walked away. As they turned to walk away she noticed tattoos on the back of all of their necks. The mark of the Grimm, more specifically their White Fang branch. A Notorious gang that Ruby had many run-ins with on the job, they hadn't noticed her and seemed to be leaving so Ruby stayed seated not even blinking once as she watched the figures fade away down the street.
Welp now I know there's for sure something going on behind the scenes, I'll have to talk to Junior and people at the bar about info on the Schnees and the Grimm.
Minutes later Weiss Schnee exitted the large building and started walking towards the very cafe Ruby was sitting in. She ordered her drink and sat next to a black haired cat faunus on the other side of the cafe. Ruby had caught her name from their greetings, Blake Belladonna.
The two young women sat together and chatted about whatever it was they're talking about. Ruby over heard bits and pieces of their conversation over the sounds of the cafe and its patrons. It was mostly talk of school and other books. Nothing too significant to Ruby though. As the pair finished their conversations they got up to leave the cafe, Ruby stood up too putting her book away and pretending to search her bag for something while the two girls said their goodbyes.
Damn Jacque didn't give me enough info and what she does during her day.
Ruby closed up her bag and plugged headphones into her scroll and put them on. Hoping that would be enough to go unnoticed by Weiss. She followed the heiress down the same streets she had taken to get there, still in shock as to how a woman could walk so swiftly and elegantly with heels. That had always been a mystery to Ruby.
They arrive at the Schnee mansion and Weiss goes inside. There's still quite a few hours left of day time. Unsure of whether she should stay and wait to see if Weiss goes out again or to go home Ruby sends Jacque a message.
[Red Reaper] : Weiss is back home, want me to wait around outside in case she goes out again?
[Jacques] : You can go for the day, she won't be leaving again today don't worry.
[Red Reaper] : Alright.
Ruby turned away from the massive building as the white haired beauty disappeared behind closed doors and started to jog home. Taking note of alleyways and the general lay of the area. Swiftly weaving down the streets of high class Atlas to the slums and darker side of the city, alas to where she lived. Quickly changing out of her day clothes and into her underground outfit very similar to current one but it also included her cloak, she couldn't go around during the day like that it would draw too much attention.
The Red Reaper once again double checked all her supplies before locking up the apartment and heading out. The night time crowd avoided bumping into her as she walked down the streets to the infamous club. The Red Reaper slowly opened the door to the bar and sat in her usual spot giving a quick wave to the twins working the bar.
She caught the eye of Junior as she glanced around the club.
"Hey Red, what can I do for you today?"
"I need info on Jacque Schnee, and what the Grimm want from him and his company."
"That's going to take a couple days to get." he stated.
"I'll pay double to have it tomorrow." she countered, she wanted to know why this man and his company was so clean looking when she knew he had lots of enemies.
"Damn Red is it urgent?"
"I just need the information Junior, I want to protect this girl, here's half the pay now, you'll get the rest when I get my info tomorrow." The Red Reaper stated as she stood up from her seat and headed towards the door waving goodbye.
"Got it Red. I'll have it tomorrow." When Junior turned around to wave the door was already closing, "Damn it Red, I hope you know what you're getting into."
Ruby ran up the stairs to her apartment stopping at her door but stopping outside of it. Noise was coming from inside, and it smelled like… Food. Ruby grabbed Crescent Rose from the inside of her jacket and slowly unlocked the door and pushed it open.
"There you are Rubes, I was wondering when you'd get home!" a familiar voice exclaimed. Yang.
I'll try to update more regularly
