EPISODE 2: GOING WILD PART 2 (Partially Adapted from "The Exciting Animal Land")

We open up with an international news report on TV from Coral Harbor.

Mrs. Reeves: Welcome to the International Segment of Coral Harbor news. I'm Muriel Reeves and our top story from across the globe tonight is about a NEW team of Power Rangers being discovered. An alien attack happened at the very popular Washi Safari Zoo and Aquarium yesterday afternoon in Dolphin Coast, New Zealand. This landmark of conservation into the future was attacked by a sharp looking alien with a canon and small army, only for a team of Power Rangers that seem to be made up of several staff members, including Benny Washi, son of the zoo's founder, Martha Washi, to defeat them. We have several eye witness accounts we'd like to show you.

We see a family, a visitor, and several staff members give their takes on the incident in edited news footage. I'm not gonna bother writing out interviews cause I have more stuff to write for this, but the only key thing I'd like to note for this part is that I'd like to throw in a cameo of Chase's actor from Dino Charge as a witness who filmed the team. And no, this season does not take place in the Dino Charge universe. It's just Chase's counterpart here.

Benny then turns the TV that was playing this news off, and starts looking at his morpher again. (BTW, they're inside his house's basement, which will serve as their HQ. I'll hopefully have a map of it on Deviantart soon) While he's staring at the morpher, we can briefly here Winston in the background saying "Okay. I'll call you back soon. Love you." After a second or two of silence, he then taps Benny on the shoulder noticing him spacing out.

Winston: Hey Benny?

Benny: Hmm?

Winston: The others are here. You ready?

Benny: Yeah…Sorry. I was just thinking.

Martha, Jackie, Sylvia and Caleb come down the stairs to the basement. Sense I don't have a layout for it yet, I'll do my best to paint a picture. It's got nice tan carpet, some light purple walls, a tv on the wall, and a game system. There are also some tables for other activities and a fake fireplace (digital of course). Martha also sets up a training dummy in the center of an open section's floor.

Jackie: WOAH. When did you guys cook this up?

Benny: Recently, actually. We were planning on making it a hangout place for us…but now I think it should serve as our "HQ" if you will.

Martha: I've also added in training equipment and a dummy. Thanks for letting me borrow it Jackie.

Jackie: AH, so that's why you wanted it.

Caleb: Well I like it. Jolly good location to be together.

Martha: Why thank you.

Sylvia: (Still tired because it's morning) So umm (yawn) what are we going to talk about again?

Jackie: Dude, did you forget what happened yesterday?

Sylvia: Oh, right. Well, what about it?

Benny: Let's just lay down our stuff and recap everything quickly, shall we?

The others agree and sit at a table in the room. They take out everything so far…which of course is just their morphers and their new weapons.

Benny: Ok. Let's recap. So, yesterday we got attacked by aliens and became Power Rangers. Just to clarify, we're not dreaming, we're not dead and hallucinating, THAT HAPPENED, right?

Everyone: Right.

Jackie: We also have these crazy new morpher cube things to prove it.

Sylvia: Plus, your mom's blasters she had all this time for some reason got upgraded from them and look colorful now…

Caleb: Not to mention the fact that they can have a blade mode…

Winston: And somehow you got a special sword. Eagle Shredder, right?

Benny: Right.

Sylvia: OH, and we also grew animal parts on our…suits? Bodies? Whatever it was, when we screamed "Primal Power."

Benny: Right…And now the thing I'm worried about is that we don't know if those monsters will be back or not.

Winston: I think that about covers it. Anything else we wanna add?

Caleb: Yes, actually. I had an idea.

Benny: What's that, Caleb?

Caleb: I was thinking we call these babies…Savage Blasters (he then switches it to blade mode) and Savage Sabers. And as for the morphers, I'm thinking the Keeper Cube Morphers! Sorry if that's not important.

Sylvia: I like the names.

Before Benny can respond, the morphers start to glow again. But this time, it's the yellow side of the morphers, and far less than last time. But this still makes everyone get out of their seats and step back.

Winston: Okay, they're glowing again…This could either be REALLY GOOD…or maybe bad this time.

Sylvia: Hey, check it out. This time the glow is coming from the yellow side. (She picks it up and opens it up to see the yellow button up top flashing)

Jackie: Oh, so it wants us to press the buttons and turn it again, but just to the yellow side this time?

Caleb: Your guess is as good as mine.

Winston: Alright. But if this could take me out, then I'm taking you with me. We'll all do it together.

Benny: Right then. Okay. Everybody, press the buttons and turn your morphers to the yellow side on three. 1…2…3!

They do so…and a portal opens up in the room with rainbow colors and an almost Minecraft nether portal look to it that makes everybody back up and get ready for a fight. Martha, who was sitting in the background, included.

Martha: You just HAD to say it could take us all out, huh Winston.

Before we see what comes through the portal, we cut back to the villain's who have woken up and reunited in the throne room to discuss today's plan.

Sagittar: Good morning gentlemen, and Midaria. It's time to put a new plan into action-

Insidion: HOLD that thought Sagittar. I understand why you want to destroy this planet for the 100th hunt, but I think we should maybe target a part of it AWAY from the rangers. I did some research, and while this new team only defeated Jagged yesterday, various other ranger teams have defeated notable forces and beings throughout the galaxy. Flurious and Moltor, Galvanax, Lord Zedd, The Machine Empire, even the great UNITED ALLIANCE OF EVIL. While these rangers are new, others have been very dangerous in the past, and this team could be too. I say we at least make it harder for them to fight us by attacking parts of the Earth away from their island home IF we don't leave this planet.

Sagittar: Believe it or not Insidion, I already considered that.

Insidion: Oh. Well then, my apologies…I guess.

Blockhead: Ha. Suck it metal mouth.

Insidion: Oh, put a coin in it and choke you blue-

Sagittar: ENOUGH. If we start fighting each other, we won't be able to destroy the Earth anytime soon. Now then, Midaria. You have Jagged's remains, I hope?

Midaria: Copy that. It took some sneaking around last night and an untraceable EMP to briefly delay the cameras, but-

Sagittar: Perfect. Now then, I want you and Insidion to commence…Operation: Continuation.

Insidion: Are you sure? Seems a bit early to play that card my insane one.

Sagittar: Oh, I know, metal mouth…And that's the fun part of it. Oh, and Midaria, remember to apply this "upgrade" to the Hunter Forge before it's activated.

Midaria: Right. Let's get to work then, Insidion. Trust me, Sagittar. The rangers won't know what hit them. (She and Insidion then walk off into another room after she pulls out a device)

Que Theme Song

One Commercial Break Later

Cutting back to our heroes and the portal as they all prepare for something evil to come out. They start to make out shapes coming through.

Benny: Here it COMES. (He and the others tense up, still battle ready. Winston even pulls out his blaster)

But instead of an evil alien, 5 small colorful things fly out in the form of lights. They start to take shape…and when the lights fade…our heroes see 5 tiny mechanical looking animals land in front of them. An Eagle, Shark, Lion, Elephant, and Tiger. (Adapted from the Zyuoh Cubes)

Sylvia: (Gasps) Ay que lindo! They're so adorable!

Jackie: Woah. Little animal dudes.

The small creatures make their respective animal noises, but they're pitched to sound small and cute. The Eagle flies around Benny with excitement, Sylvia picks up the Tiger which rubs itself on her cheek, Winston gets down and pets the elephant, and Jackie and Caleb put their hands out for a high five and fist bump, only for the Shark and Lion to go cubic and deliver the closest thing they can muster. (This reveals the animals Dormant form)

Caleb: AND they have a cube mode. How fascinating.

Benny: (The eagle makes a sound in his ear) He. It's nice to meet you too…WOAH…Did I just…understand you?

The others are weirded out by this for a second and the other animals make their noises again…and everyone else seems shocked as well. The animals aren't speaking English, but our heroes seem to be able to understand them. It's like they now know what these animals are saying.

Winston: I…I hear it too. It's not English, but I get what he said. He says… (the elephant trumpets again) Hi. He says hi.

Jackie: We're Power Rangers AND we can talk to animals? This is the coolest weekend EVER!

This makes her Shark tense back a little like it just heard a noise that hurts her ears.

Jackie: Aw, sorry girl. I forget Sharks have sensitive hearing…Which feels weird. How could I forget such a simple fact?

Caleb: And you say I'M the loud one-

Jackie: Shut up because unlike you I fully apologize as apposed to leaving it at-

Caleb: Fair enough?

Jackie: (exhales heavily and puts her head down on the table) That.

The eagle then flies over to the couch and makes noise that seem to be inviting the others over.

Benny: I think they want us to sit down.

Everybody does so, bringing their animals over in the process. Once they're all seated, the Eagle starts making noises that only Benny can understand.

Jackie: What's he saying, dude?

Benny: He's saying…long ago… (Que flashbacks with original footage and footage of Zyuland) …There was once a race of…animal people?

Narrator: They were called, Zoomans. These creatures were born from a device known as the Link Cube (Adapted from the item of the same name in Zyuohger). It was a mighty item that connected ALL living things. Six sides for the six Animal Kingdoms. And from this Morphing Grid connected device, that almost seemed to be birthed from the Earth itself…came people who were half human and half animal. Some more so then others. They lived in harmony within secret cubic kingdoms hidden deep in the Earth. Whenever humans discovered them, most of the encounters were peaceful, and the Zoomans never tried to take over the world or colonize any new land. They just seemed dead set on living happy lives in peace. Even becoming pretty advanced due to their morphing grid connections through the Link Cube's power. Everything was great for them. But then…

(The flashback imagery grows darker, and so does the music as the Zoomans shown in the footage disappear)

Narrator: …one day, for reasons that still remain unknown…the Zoomans disappeared. And nobody knows why. Some mindwipe? Earthquakes sinking their cities? A mass extinction event? No one knows. Only a few humans even know Zoomans existed to this day. The powerful items and tech they created lost to time and the Earth's constantly changing environment.

The narration starts to fade out as we cut back to Benny and the others.

Benny: Until now … (Puts his finger to his chin like he's pondering Obi Wan style)

Caleb: SO, what the birdy's saying is that our new friends here are robots created by an ancient animal race that just…vanished?

The eagle nods it's head.

Winston: That doesn't make any sense. What kind of extinction could be so destructive that it leaves literally next to ZERO trace of a species left behind? Even dinosaurs still have fossils.

Sylvia: What if…what if those poachers that monster mentioned did it?

Jackie: I don't think so dude. If that's true then JEEZ aliens can live a long time. This stuff must have been like a few hundred years ago at the bare MINIMUM.

Benny: Well, whatever happened, happened. And now that you're here, we hope you can be of some help to us if those monsters come back.

The animals all make noise that basically translate to "yeah no sweat guys" while nodding their heads or moving around in circles/jumping around.

Sylvia: Well I'm glad you're here either way. And even if you couldn't help, (does a little baby noise as she pets the tiger) how could we turn away such sweet little animales?

Winston: Well if they're gonna be here, I say we set up a place in the basement for them.

Martha: Oh, I can help with that!

The others turn around a little quick to see Martha get out of her seat.

Caleb: I…totally forgot you were her madame.

Martha: Sounds about right. I'm very quiet when I listen to stuff.

Sylvia: Back on to the new additions, I say we call them…Cubimals?

Benny:…Sure? Why not.

Winston: Sounds fine to me.

Jackie and Caleb: Ditto.

We then cut back to the villains with Blockhead and Insidion sitting around with Sagittar on his throne.

Midaria: (contacts them on coms) Sagittar, we're ready. (Cut to her down on the ground) Jagged's body is set up in the Japanese mountain woods you chose and ready for the experiment.

Sagittar: I hope you're ready, it's gonna be like Planet Bio all over again. Get yourselves ready!

Insidion: (Mumbling) I will when you all stop saying ready so much.

Back down on Earth, Midaria takes out a coin (adapted form the Continue Coins) and places it in Jagged's body via a coin slot she and Insidion put into him.

Midaira: Let's finish this on the macro scale.

She puts it in and teleports out. Within an instant, Jagged wakes up and immediately grows gigantic.

Jagged: What? I'm back? And I'm…I'm huge! YES. Thank you, Midaria! Now then… (he aims his blaster at the surrounding forest)

One Commercial Break Later

Back in New Zealand, our heroes keep playing with the Cubimals (It's been several hours and they've taken breaks to do some of their work) That is until the Cubimals tense up in an instant.

Jackie: Woah, what's up little dudes.

The animals then make loud noises at every one of the rangers that makes them back up.

Winston: Okay did anyone else hear them scream, "Trouble! BIG Trouble!"?

Everyone Else: Yep.

The animals then go into cube mode and start spinning fast as they float into the air.

Caleb: Oh great! What now-

Before anyone can react, they're all teleported to Japan.

Martha: (Coming down the stairs) I made snacks! ...Uh oh…

Everyone takes a second to clear their heads, realizing they've actually been morphed.

Benny: Woah. Wait, when did we morph?

Winston: Looks like the animals morphed us somehow. (Sees their surroundings) … AND they teleported us somehow.

Jackie: Dudes, where are we?

Caleb: I think we're in a forest.

Benny: I've seen these trees before. I saw them on vacation to Japan with my dad when he was…anyways-

They then feel rumbling and see a GIANT JAGGED stomping around and sending out a few quick blasts. The forest starts catching on fire.

Everyone: JAGGED!?

Winston: He's alive!?

Jackie: CRAP. I always forget the monsters grow giant after rangers defeat them.

Benny: Yeah, but it's worse than just that. Look!

They get a better look at his destruction as they see swarms of birds flying away and animals running. (Mainly Sika Deer)

Sylvia: Oh no, the animals! We have to stop Jagged SOMEHOW, right!?

Caleb: ARE YOU INSANE!? Sylvia, look at him. Now back at us. DO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM!?

Everyone then hears their animals make noise and them they all notice the animals on the ground going to cube mode with their morphers out and open, all pointing to the same buttons. The ones they pushed to summon them in the first place.

Everyone picks up their morphers…and it hits them like a rock what those buttons do in battle.

Everyone: OH, NOW I GET IT!

They immediately press the buttons superfast and turn the top of the cube to its yellow side.

Everyone: Cubimal zords, go!

This makes the animals float into the air, and grow gigantic. It's their zords. (Starting back in cube mode BTW)

Benny: I think I know what's next. Let's hope this works.

He then jumps in the air and lands in the Eagle Zord as it unfolds.

Benny: YES! Guys, jump! You'll land in your zords! Trust me!

Everyone then does and we get a split screen shot of all the zords unfolding. BTW, the zord cockpits look like they do in the Sentai with some scenes later on likely being reshoots and original footage recreations of them… The only key thing I'll mention without giving too much away, sense you should look this stuff up yourselves, is they control them with big spinning cubes on sticks.

The zords charge like a stampede of animals towards Jagged, who sees them coming at him (original footage for a moment)

Jagged: Hahaha! Take this yah worthless planet- (sees them) OH…SON OF A-

Back with the villains…

Sagittar: Let's check on Jagged again, shall we? (Turns on the monitor and sees the zords only to slam his drink down and shatter it) I'M… (holds back a swear) Midaria?

Midaria: Yes?

Sagittar: Do me a favor and send down some Tristar ships…Please.

We then see a small army of said Tristar Ships heading from the ship towards Earth. (Adapted from the Trinagular)

Back on Earth, Jagged fires at the zords but they push through the first blasts.

The ships arrive, piloted by the Amoebanoids, and the fight really begins. Benny takes out some of the ships with the Eagle zord, but realizes that they have to put out the forest fires. Winston takes care of it when his zord blows fire extinguisher type fog on the flames. Jagged gets behind his zord ready to blast him, but Jackie and Sylvia with their zords go cubic and knock into him at the same time. Calbe then uses the lion zord to blast an energy beam at the ships, followed by Jackie's zord jumping into the air and crushing some in its jaws, and the Sylvia's tiger zord firing energy claws that take out more from its back. We get a fun bit where Jagged blasts at the Eagle zord only for it to go into cube mode and bounce down a mountain side into Jagged's hands, only for Benny to spin the control block around really fast, and make the zord push jagged through a mountain.

They all group up after that and Benny sees his morpher glow again in original cockpit footage.

Benny: OK, what now?

Then suddenly, 5 cubic rings of fire appear in the sky.

Jackie: OH, I get it. Bush the buttons and send our zords through.

The Eagle, Shark, and Lion zords are charge through the squares of fire in the sky as epic music with hints of Go Go Power Rangers starts to play…Que that music stopping comedically as the Tiger and Elephant zords bounce off the fire squares.

Winston and Sylvia: (After quickly recovering) …Okay, what?

Benny: Megazord, activate!

He pushes the blue button, plus the 1,2 and 3 buttons, spins the morpher to the blue side and starts forming the Megazord. The zords stack on top of each other and a giant pole looking thing goes down the center. This triggers arms for the Eagle zord (which makes up the head/arms/body while the Shark makes up the thighs and the Lion makes up the lower legs) and adds a complete head while also giving the thing a sword.

Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Zoo King Megazord! Ready! (Adapted from Zyuoh King)

Benny: Let's go!

They stand face to face with Jagged

Jagged: The bigger they are, the harder they DIE!

He blasts at them, but the Zoo King Megazord just walks on forward. The blasts miss and explode on the surrounding area. He keeps going and it doesn't work. The Megazord pushes its sword forward, only for Jagged to block it with his canon of an arm, the Megazord coming to a halt with dirt coming of its right leg. It pushes Jagged's arm aside and tries striking more but is blocked by Jagged's arms. He fires at the Megazord, and while it's a good hit, the team quickly recovers and raises the thing's sword as more dirt and rubble comes of the Zoo King Megazord. The sword comes straight down on Jagged with sparks flying out of it, and they land a good hit. Sylvia and Winston them join the find with their zord as the Tiger zord shoots more energy claws, and the Elephant zord shoots a beam out of its trunk that both hit Jagged.

Benny: Follow my lead and let's finish this!

He, Jackie and Caleb all turn their cubes back to the animal side and shove them into the cube containers of their spinning blocks.

Benny, Jackie, and Caleb: Zoo King Megazord! Wild Final STRIKE!

The sword slashes right through Jagged and charges forward; stopping and being complimented by a shot of the numbers of the zord's sides catching up with the mech. Jagged finally takes great enough damage.

Jagged: Forgive me master! I WAS A FOOL! (Kabooms with Megazord pose)

Caleb: WAHOO!

Jackie: We did it, dudes!

Benny: Aliens? Zero. Animals? WON. (I love wordplay)

We get one final shot of the Megazord with the Tiger and Elephant zords by its side, and then see a flash which teleports everyone and the zords away. We then cut back to the zoo where everyone heads back into Benny's basement and arrives to see Martha happy that they're back.

Martha: Few, I hoped you'd be back soon. (hugs Benny)

Benny: Mom, I'm so sorry. I didn't know-

Martha: It's okay. I saw the news. You guys went to Japan!?

Benny: Well…yeah. I guess the cubimals took us there.

Jackie: Yeah. Took us there so we could kick a monster's butt back to h-

Martha: LANGUAGE in this household, Jacklyn.

Jackie: Right. My bad.

Winston: Well, it's been a long day, so I'm heading home. See you all tomorrow. (The cubimal elephant pulls on his leg) Alright, you can come with. Just try to stay hidden. I don't want people to know I'm a ranger yet.

The elephant nods its head and goes dormant into his pocket. Winston leaves with a wave and Sylvia is confused for a second by what he means, but shrugs it off as a passing thought.

Benny: Well, if you guys don't mind staying-

Sylvia, Jackie and Caleb: HECK YES, WE WANNA SLEEP OVER!

The episode ends with Benny smiling and heading upstairs with the others to make some dinner. The cubimals and Martha joining.

Jackie: Zoo Keeper Ranger Slumber Party Time!

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Thank you all SO much for reading the first two episodes of this fan made Zyuohger Adapatation). This is my first big writing project and I want to hear what you think. I know there's typos in this stuff so maybe don't bombard me with those kinds of critiques in the reviews section if you can.
