Irelia tossed and turned in her bed. The Will of the Blades was sweating profusely, and she was clearly in agony. It was weird for her to dream, she hardly did so, but the dream that she was having seemed more like a revelation or a message then what one would normally experience in their sleep. What she saw was horrifying however...
The first thing she saw was a burning land. It looked vaguely familiar. All around, it was burning, full of chaos and it was radiating an ancient power. She saw horsemen, countless in number riding, destroying, burning everything in sight. They all had the same appearance, a hellish knight with dark armour and a helmet where the eyes were nothing but empty dark sockets flaring with power. She found herself facing one of the knights, and being near his presence was terrifying. He fixed her with his gaze and his hellish fury overcame her senses. Before she could give in to the chaos, the vision changed. She was staring at an old man, with a long beard and sunken eyes. He had a weird looking hood on his head yet he emitted a kind power, one of warmth and sunlight. The old man was in a old room, resting in a chair. He addressed her with an elderly smile ," Hello my dear, care for some Mana? " Irelia's vision shifted again, this time to someone familiar.
Aurelion Sol could be seen soaring over the night sky. He looked anxious and worried over something. He spoke in his usual voice, " I sense a grave danger in our world, Bard. I hope you will be able to address this and come to aid us. I should prepare for the upcoming conflict as well. " Again, Irelia's view shifted this time to a dark place. Nothing could be seen and yet Irelia sensed the presence of a being in this empty chamber. It was cold and apocalyptic, and Irelia heard a raspy, chilling voice speak, " The end is near. It is time."
"Hey Irelia, wake up! Whats wrong? " someone could be heard saying." You were all sweaty and shaking in bed, was it something bad? "
Irelia groggily fluttered her eyes open as she took in the surroundings of her room. Soraka, the star child and Karma, the Duchess of Ionia, had a worried look over them as they stood over Irelia's bed. Irelia remembers the nightmare that seemed all to real.
"Its nothing, I'm fine, please dont trouble yourselves. " she said dazedly, still tired after waking up suddenly from the dream. She smiled at her friends and got up. She was in her pajamas, and her hair was untidy and a mess. She had dark circles under her blue eyes, indicating her lack of proper sleep. "Good morning! " she greets her friends with a smile.
Karma knew Irelia was lying, yet she said nothing. She would ask her later on. Right now, there were more pressing matters to attend to.
"So, why are you guys here? Any concerns i should be worried about?" enquired the captain of the guard.
Soraka glanced nervously at Karma. Irelia grew puzzled as to their antiques. She asked again,"Karma, what is going on? ". Karma just sighed and said, " Irelia, you must know, this morning, a mysterious person arrived near our gates. The guards tried to stop him but he singlehandedly defeated th with a single spell. We kept sending men after men after him but he kept beating them. He insisted that he meet the people in charge, which was what the last person to face him relayed over to us, after being scorched by his magic of course."
"I am planning to go, however as captain of the Ionian guard, you will need to accompany me as well. Master Yi has also agreed to come along, for protection. "
Irelia was no longer drowsy. She was visibly angry that this imposter treat the people of Ionia with such disrespect, and so rudely demand an audience ,that she instantly summoned her blades to her side. Her blades, a family heirloom, could be commanded by her will alone and she shared a special connection to them. Irelia was a skilled user of these blades and could cut down any one with it.
Karma also noticed Irelia's change of mood. She knew how Irelia was fiercely protective over Ionia and would kill any one who would threaten her homeland. She sometimes would frown over her friends fierce temper, as she preferred peace whenever possible instead of resorting to violence. Yet Karma was a spiritually powerful woman, who weilded powerful magic, though she used her powers only when the peace option had run out.
Irelia quickly changes into her usual uniform and prepares her blade, while Soraka offers to make breakfast for them.
"Lets go meet this stranger."
" It seems he calls himself the Grand Magus" Karma added.
"Magus or not, he is gonna have to answer to me" Irelia says with determination.
And so the 2 women head out to the gates to meet this "Grand Magus".
So chapter 2: Irelia has an omen of things to come and she,Karma and master Yi go to meet Rubick the Grand Magus who has arrived at Ionia.
