Chapter Two: Phenex Battle
Setsuna's eyes stared at the being before him, a silver-haired girl in a french maid outfit, her silver eyes stared daggers into Setsuna which leaves him to repeat himself; "What the hell?"
"Setsuna Sonohara, well-known amongst the supernatural hunter guilds and even the demon clans if you know where to look," says the silver-haired girl to begin with; "You have a partner in crime, a Cains Lykaon or as you have called it, Jin and-"
"He. not it," says Setsuna throwing the bed cover off of him to see his charred clothes his top half was falling off the side, his bottom half was cut up; "Why am I here?"
"Sorry but I had no idea where you lived so I have taken you to the occult research clubhouse, we didn't have a chance to change your clothes since you aren't very likeable," says the maid girl.
Setsuna rolls his eyes and gets off the bed looking around and quickly realise something; "Where are my guns?"
"Somewhere else."
Setsuna walks up to the girl; "Where are they? You disgusting demons."
"Disgusting? The only reason, you are still alive is because of Rias, a demon," says the silver-haired girl.
Setsuna took a second to process the thought before pushing past the girl; "I'm a demon hunter, I kill your kind. So telling me this bit of information won't do anything for whatever hidden motive you have."
The silver-haired demon grabs Setsuna by the shoulder gripping it with a noticeable force; "The hell do you think you're doing?"
Suddenly, the two disappear and reappear in a darkened room with Issei and Gremory's bishop, Aisa he later finds out.
Issei gives Setsuna a sharp look before speaking; "Are you coming along or something?"
"What do you mean?" asks Setsuna with a raised eyebrow.
"That rating game was to decide if Rias will become Riser's bride and since we lost Rias must become that bastard's…" says Issei unable to finish his sentence.
Setsuna huffs; "I couldn't care less about what the demons do in their private time. I only care about wiping their entire race clean off the entirety of existence. This is the mission I took upon myself when I agreed to my job."
"But she's only in this situation cause we both lost!" shouts Issei; "She made sure to beg for our lives!"
Setsuna turns around about to walk out the door before taking a side glance at Issei; "You're human, so why work with the demonic forces of hell?"
"Cause Rias isn't like any of the demons you met. She's nice and thoughtful of others and she saved my life!" says Issei getting closer to Setsuna.
Setsuna turns his head to face the front and begins walking until he here's barking, he turns to see Jin standing firmly in front of Issei and begins to bark.
"Jin, you know if we get involved that we'll have to cast our mission to the side," says Setsuna looking at his wolf puppy with a softer stare.
Jin begins to bark and woof leaving Setsuna's expression to soften; "I know that but…"
However, Jin barks, even more, leaving Setsuna to stare at the floor before grabbing the side of his head with both hands: "Argh! Fine. I'll go to hell and retrieve Rias under one condition!"
"Fine, What is it?"
Meanwhile, in hell, the party is only getting started as Riser begins to speak until the massive door flies open with the knocked-out body of the guards with Issei shouting: "Sup bitches!"
Setsuna steps forward with his Winchesters in both hands resting on his shoulders; "Time to tear this party apart!"
Issei and Setsuna take a second to look at each other; "Sorry for the kick."
"No worries this easily makes up for it," replies Issei; "Sorry for trying to fight you."
Setsuna and Issei take a step forward before turning to each other one more time with Setsuna saying; "What about a rematch after this?"
"Oh hell yeah but first we need to beat this fucker," smirks Issei.
"First time we can agree on something. Let's take this Demon mother fucker out," says Setsuna with a sinister grin.
"You!" says Riser through his girted teeth.
Issei stamps his foot on the ground; "we're here to take Rias Gremory back to where she belongs. No one's gonna take anything from her that she doesn't want to give!"
"We? That's your reason," says Setsuna as an evil toothy grin slash across his face; "I'm here to take Riser's head home."
"How dare you both?!" shouts Riser angry collecting on his face; "Seize them!" this summons a crowd of guards on all side surrounding both Setsuna and Issei.
Instantly, the three other members of the house of Gremory join the fight taking out the guards in a single instant.
"What is the meaning of this!?" says Riser through his gritted teeth.
"It's just a little entrainment I prepared," says a crimson-haired man, he wore armour over his suit.
Leaving Rias to say in surprise; "My brother's here?"
"The great devil lucifer?" says one of the people in the crowd just as surprised.
Setsuna's glare went form Riser to Lucifer as he thinks; 'He's definitely next on my hit list.'
"What do you mean entrainment?" asks Riser.
"I watched the rating games and least to say you more than underwhelmed me. You almost were beaten by a mere human who broke into the game."
"It's the end result that counts, my lord."
"In the past, the games don't mean what they use to. besides Riser, you were almost brought to your knees by a first-time participant and a rogue hunter. I can't imagine your family was proud of the way you performed, so I'm giving you another chance. Besides, we don't have this type of celebration every day, this party deserve some flair I think," says Lucifer before looking at both Issei and Setsuna.
"You there. They say you possess the power of the dragon. I for one would like to see what you're made of that's why I asked Grayfia to bring you here. For you hunter, I have seen your skills with the guns that you carry and I'm curious about what you can do when under pressure," says Lucifer with a smile.
"So you want to fight," says Riser.
"Yes a dragon and a hunter versus Phenex, I think you're guest would love to see these powers clash," says Lucifer.
As lucifer asks for what Issei wants he turns to Setsuna and asks the same; "And you, hunter if you win what would you want?"
"I would say a fight between yourself and me but right nowt that's plain stupid. So I want a location for a holy sword," says Setsuna seeing the slight strain on Lucifer's face before he answers.
"Of course," says Lucifer with a smile and the crowd's start; "This information won't matter if you're unable to wield it though."
Issei and Setsuna stood in front of Riser with glances at each other with Setsuna starting the conversation; "You have a plan, don't you?"
"Hell yeah," says Issei running and in a bright light red armour scales over him.
Setsuna takes this time to stand against a wall and watch the fight with Issei and Riser clash in the air with shockwave rippling out, Issei is thrown into a pillar but gets back up before both Issei and Riser smash fists into each other's face knocking both but Riser feels more pain than Issei but Issei's armour quickly dispels leaving him at Riser's feet.
Setsuna smirks as Issei reveals his last trump card, holy water. He throws the holy water at Riser letting it burn his skin but also drain his mentality, Issei attempts to finish Riser off by firing energy at Riser but he manages to live through it but before Issei and finish the job a little girl stands in the way.
Issei stops.
However, Setsuna walks up to the little girl; "You're moving."
She does nothing leaving Setsuna to sigh and pushes the girl out the way and walks up to Riser saying; "Behowlest the slaying of one thousand mortals, Besingest the slaying of ten thousand goblins, Mine name, which tis immersed in deepest darkness, tis the Imitation God traversing the Polar Night, O ye, perishest by mine own black blade, Fools ye art, deformed Creator Gods."
Suddenly, Setsuna is swallowed in darkness and he becomes taller and six tails protrude from his behind, as he takes the appearance of a humanoid wolf, his pup Jin turns into a fully grown hound.
Riser's eyes shot open, Jin charges into Riser grabbing his arm with his mouth, Setsuna slams a fist into Riser's gut while pulling out one shotgun aiming it at Riser's arm and blasting it out.
Riser screams in pain as Setsuna speak; "I thought you were stronger than this."
Rapidly, Setsuna fires the last four rounds into Riser in quick succession leaving Riser backed up into a corner, Setsuna slowly walks up pointing the gun at Riser with a death glare installed into his eyes.
Quickly, the little blonde girl interrupts once more standing in front of Setsuna arms wide open; "Don't hurt him."
Setsuna dispels his balance breaker and points the gun at her, her eyes grow wide as Setsuna slowly pull the trigger only for it to click and nothing happens; "Next time you get in my way. It will be loaded."
Setsuna walks away with Jin having returned to his puppy self following close behind, he places the gun on his back along with the other one already holster. However, the ground breaks apart leaving both Issei and Setsuna to fall into the dark abyss, Issei is caught by Konno while Setsuna is left to fall for a while before the others bother to catch him with Akeno being the one to do it; "Now you own me big time, Mr hunter."
"Tsk," says Setsuna holding his puppy in one hand and Akeno's hand in another; "Just drop me off at wherever Lucifer is. He was my reward."
"Don't ask for much do ya," says Akeno flying off with him.
Setsuna rolls his eyes as Akeno drops him off on a balcony in front of Lucifer, Setsuna places his pup on the ground before thanking Akeno, Setsuna turns to Lucifer; "Tell me, where is it?"
"You have earned it. It's in Northern Europe if I remember," says Lucifer with a smile.
"Anywhere specific?" asks Setsuna with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, it wouldn't be fun for you to know where it is exactly," says Lucifer.
"Damn it, it would take months to find it or maybe years," says Setsuna walking up to Lucifer; "Tell me exactly where it is?"
"No," says Lucifer with a cheeky smirk.
Setsuna goes to lift one of his shotguns from his back: "Fine, It's in Norway."
"Thank you," says Sestuna jumping onto the railings.
"Wait. Don't you have a way to get home now, do you?" says Lucifer gaining Setsuna's attention; "How about I drop you off?"
"Sure," replies Setsuna dropping from the railings and over to Lucifer.
After Lucifer drops Setsuna off at his motel room, he begins packing his duffle bag full of clothes, supplies, a few different volumes of manga chapters and one of his passports, he walks over to the parking lot realising something that he says out loud without thinking; "I left my bike at the school. Fuck."
Setsuna walks to the school spotting his motorbike and thankfully it hasn't been stolen nor stripped for parts, he swings his leg over the bike and sits upon it, with the turn of the key it purrs to life; "I'll need to go to a gas station but it seems like it won't take long to get to the airport."
The motorbike speeds off down the road carrying Setsuna in tow towards his next mission, his next goal. A holy sword contained within the cold country of Norway.
