Blaire's P.O.V
"You know pre-marital eye contact is a sin right?" Alex asked plopping himself down beside me.
"Well, then I'm going to Hell," I quipped. I looked up at his wide eyes and the way his head jerked towards Tuck.
"No, no not like that. All we did was kiss!" I said quickly and he let out a sigh of relief.
"I thought you were going to turn out like your mother for a minute, which she's an amazing person, but she does have a problem." He grumbled and rolled his eyes.
"I don't know why you keep rolling your eyes, it's not like you're going to find a brain." I retorted causing April to laugh who had just sat down.
"He is an idiot sometimes," She snorted loudly, causing the surrounding people to give her strange looks.
"You are causing a scene," Alex said as his cheeks started to redden.
"You're blushing!" April squealed and a few onlookers giggled.
"You clearly don't know how to A) cause Alex to be embarrassed and B) cause a scene. Watch and learn red." I said banging my tray on the table and standing on my chair. I cast a glance at my table mates who were both red-faced (for different reasons of course) and winked.
"Behold, the most idiotic idiot my two blue eyes have ever laid eyes on. This is the oaf who thought it would be a good idea to put beer in his lucky charms! He also asked me if England was in the U.K! Even better he asked if London was in-" Most of the people in the cafeteria were in tears. Especially when I fell. I stood up and brushed myself off. I did a very dramatic bow and shot Alex some finger guns before prancing out of the room. I giggled all the way down the hallway until I felt something strange.
Meredith's POV
I was paged 911 to a small exam room about Blaire. I opened the door to find a doctor from a different part of the hospital waiting with a terrified looking Blaire. I was just praying she wasn't pregnant or had an STD.
"Dr. Grey, thank you for joining us." The doctor said. His nametag said Dr. Johnson, I feel like I've heard of him before, I just can't remember where.
"Mom, I'm scared, and I think you might want to sit down," Blaire said shakily. I pulled a chair down and stroked Blaire's blonde curls.
" , I'm Dr. Johnson, I'm from the cancer ward-" With those words, I felt like the world had just collapsed.
Derek's POV
"Derek!" Addison called. I turned around and forced a smile on my face. She went to kiss me, but I turned and she caught my cheek. She rolled her eyes and grumbled something I couldn't hear.
"Did you need something?" I asked irritably. She sighed and started to speak, but then someone else spoke.
"Derek?" I heard someone say softly. I turned around, only to have my breath taken away, which happens every time I see her. I felt Addison possessively link her arm in mine. I fought the urge to roll my eyes.
"Yes?" I asked. I noticed she had been crying, I wanted to hold her and tell her it'd be all right.
"Listen I know you said you didn't want to be a part of Blaire's life, but s-she, she, um-" Her voice broke and she started to cry again, I felt Addison soften her hold on me. Meredith took a deep breath and wiped her tears.
"She has Leukemia." She said as new tears started to roll down her face. I felt my jaw drop in shock and I felt immeasurable guilt.
"We don't know how much longer she has left, and I'm hoping the rest of her life, but the prognosis isn't good. I just want you to get to know her so she has a mom and a dad." I wanted to hug her and stroke her honey blonde hair, but I remembered my wife, who was staring in shock.
"I'm sorry, I think I'm going to be sick," She ran to the nearest bathroom. I felt like fainting. What if I had missed my chance to have a child?
