Chapter Two: Heart of The Dragon King
When Zion and Maya got home, they were greeted by a woman with mahogany-colored hair, she was at the stove making some dinner. "There you are, where have you two been?" she asked as she mixed the food with some seasoning.
"Well, you see, I-" Zion began before getting cut-off by his sister, putting her hand over his mouth to block him from speaking.
"Zion was cardfighting after school, you know him, always playing those games," Maya lied quickly as she went to her mom and put her arms around her mother's neck. "Anything I could help with mom?"
"Yes, get the macaroni and vegetables, we're gonna have Mac & Cheese for dinner," she said, still keeping her eyes on the cheese sauce while Maya went to the fridge and grabbed some vegetables and a knife, going to the counter to cut them.
"So, Zion, Maya, how was school today?" she asked while tasting the sauce, licking her lips as Maya handed her the vegetables.
"It was good, we had an exam today that was most of our language arts grade, luckily for me, I got an A+!" Maya answered cheerfully as she too had a taste of the sauce. "Hmm, that's delicious!"
"Amazing, not that I expected any less, how about you, Zion?" his mother continued in the process of draining the macaroni.
"It was fine, I guess, my class got a new student and his name was Martin, after school, I learned that he played vanguard, so I challenged him, or well, he challenged me," Zion said in an uninterested tone. "We had a cardfight,"
"Maya, man the stove while I check on your brother, understand?" her mother asked her.
"Leave it to me, mom!" Maya said cheerfully, playfully saluting her mother before going to the stove and adding the macaroni to the sauce. While doing so, she heard someone open the door.
"Hello there, father," Maya said as she turned to see a tall man with a yellow suit on, he had a beard and mustache that stretched across his jawline, in his hand was a briefcase.
"Hello there, Maya," he said in kind as he entered the kitchen, taking a sniff at the stove. "Mac and Cheese, I presume,"
"That is correct, and in case you're wondering, mom is upstairs with Zion," Maya said as she put the stove to low heat.
"Really, anyway, how was school today?" the father asked as he put his briefcase down and removed his vest.
"I had an exam today, it was most of my language arts grade, but I got an A+," Maya answered nonchalantly.
"That's my girl," the father said as he went upstairs.
Zion entered his room, abruptly sitting on his bed and sighing. "This is bad, where are my cards," he thought as he looked around the room, as suddenly a shocking thought came to his head. "Wait a minute, don't tell me I-" he started as his mother soon entered the room. "Hey, mom,"
"Hello, Zion, is everything okay, you came here and went upstairs so quickly, is there something I need to know?" she asked.
"Yeah, I don't see my cards, after the cardfight, I remember leaving the shed with my cards, but-but I think I might have left it with Martin," Zion answered.
"If that's the case, then I'll get you there quickly," the mom said as she went to her room to get keys, but when she exited the room, she saw her husband.
"Oh, Zachary, it seems you got here early," she said as she entered the room.
"It was good, thank you, Ramona," Zachary said as he entered the room and pecked her on the cheek. "Maya told me that you were with Zion, what's the problem,"
"He told me that he lost his cards, but that he might have left it with Martin," Ramona answered.
"Martin…?" he asked confused.
"A new kid at Zion's school, after school, they had a cardfight, he didn't tell me the outcome, but at the end of the match, he accidentally left the cards with the boy," she explained.
"I see, do you intend to get it for him?" Zachary asked as he saw Ramona putting casual clothes on, grabbing her car keys.
"Yes, we were going to go there to scan the area," Ramona answered.
"Well, before you go, let me check on him," Zachary insisted as he left the room and entered Zion's, who was sitting on the bed, looking at him when he entered.
"Father, you're here early, what's going on," Zion asked distantly.
"I'd rather not talk about it," he answered jokingly, laughing a little.
"Your mother told me that you had a cardfight with a new guy from school, is it true?" He asked after regaining his composure.
"That's the case, after the cardfight, I left, I must've left my cards there," he explained as he crossed his arms and looked up at his ceiling. "He seems like a nice guy, so he must've left it on a bench or something," he thought aloud.
"...But why did you leave so suddenly that you forgot your deck, what caused the sudden reaction?" Zachary asked as Zion shot up and looked straight ahead, to the side of his father.
"Well…"
"So, the reason I left...was because of …well-" Zion began through gulps.
"Answer me, boy!" Zachary exclaimed sternly as Zion started to sweat. "If I don't know why you left, I can't think of a solution as to where your deck could be!"
"Okay, okay...I lost, I got mad so I left...it's hard to explain" Zion answered with a sigh.
"...You lost," he repeated as he gave Zion a disappointed frown. "You can't even be productive by achieving something of actual importance, because of that we allow you to play this stupid game…"
"Oh shit, here we go again," Zion thought as he braced himself.
"...And even then, you lose, you've been playing for years, the best in school and you lose, you bring shame and embarrassment onto the Parkers name!" Zachary snapped as he walked towards Zion angrily. "Your mother is the CEO of the biggest company in the southern United States as well as a home chef, your younger sister has been a straight A-plus student her entire school life, I am the Mayor of San Yoi, as well as a professional businessman, as was my father and uncle, the Parkers are a family of successful citizens, but what are you, just a immature teen who can't do anything for his life except play a card game, and even then you can't even succeed in that!"
"Be quiet!" Zion yelled, shocking Zachary. "At this point, I don't care what you think of me, I don't care what society thinks of me, I don't even care about how I think about myself, so you can badmouth me as much as you want, but I will not let you insult the game I've worked so hard to be good at, the game that has brought smiles to countless faces! And news flash, games are supposed to be fun, not a tool to meet the dumbass bar society is pushing on to someone...I'm leaving, goodbye, " he said as he began walking to the door.
"Do you really think you can talk back to me like that and get away with it scot-free?!" Zachary yelled as he prepared to slap Zion. "I will not be talked to this way by a disappointment!"
As Zachary was about to strike Zion, dark energy raged around him in a flame-like fashion, a silhouette of a dragon took place of Zion's shadow as its hand stretched out and grabbed Zachary's arm. "Be careful what you say, it might just get you KILLED!" Zion roared, the last part of his sentence having a deeper, more frightening tone, as he said this, Zion's eyes turned red and black, the arm that grabbed Zachary's arm squeezed and then twisted it, nearly shattering every bone in it. "Do not lay a finger on me, prideful one,"
"Gah! W-What are you?" he asked in fear and pain as he began to step back, holding his nearly-broken arm.
"What am I?" Zion began, his voice sounding like that of Ferteces. "What I am will not matter, human, get out of my sight if you wish to live, do not test my servant!"
Dark energy surrounded Zachary as he began to suffocate, his last breath almost passed, but Ramona interfered.
"What's going on in there, Zachary?" she asked as she walked to the room, seeing Zachary gasping for air and Zion sitting on his bed as if nothing happened.
"Zion, why are you just sitting there we gotta go before anyone tries to take your deck," she said.
"Okay mom, let's go" Zion said innocently as he looked at his mother and smiled.
"Zachary, what happened, why are you breathing so hard?" Ramona asked.
Reveal the truth and you will die...
"N-Nothing, dear, nothing," he lied.
"Dinner's ready!" Maya exclaimed from downstairs as she turned off the stove.
"Oh right, Zion, what do you say we go after we eat, I'm pretty hungry," Ramona said as she started going downstairs.
"I'm down," Zion answered as he too went downstairs, shooting a snicker at Zachary as he joined the others for dinner.
The Next Day:
"Igknights, Ferteces, yesterday's incident, there has to be something connecting all of this, Ferteces is real, so that means that Cray must be real, and if it is, that makes me one of the many pieces in a much larger puzzle, if it even involves me, so many questions, not enough answers," Zion said as he yawned and began getting ready for school. "Let's not worry about this stuff for now, it's probably all in my imagination, there is some good news though, Darren's coming back today!"
"I assume we've all learned about the stories of slavery and segregation, and how people have fought for the rights of blacks in America," Mrs. Pota said as she took a piece of chalk and turned to the board. "Unfortunately, racism and antisemitism are still prominent in our day and age, so for your assignment, I want you to write a small essay of original strategies to fight against the unfairness that fellow Americans still face, all because of their skin or background, one tip, when thinking of a strategy, try to think on a peaceful idea, they have large impact, good examples of this are Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr.," she explained.
"Coincidentally, they were both assassinated, is peaceful really the way to go, I'm too young to die," one student contested.
"Though you are correct, a majority of people respected them, seeing as some of their descendants today respect Jews, blacks, and other races alike," Zion commented.
"Zion, excellently answered, are you in a good mood today?" Mrs. Pota asked.
"You could say that," Zion said as he began to write. Suddenly, a knock came to the door.
"I wonder who it is?" the teacher asked as she went to open the door, she couldn't believe her eyes. "Is, is it really you?"
Zion looked to the door to see who it was, as a huge grin dashed across his face as he jumped towards the boy. He had brown and blue hair, side bangs, light-skinned, orange eyes, a gold-colored shirt, purple jeans, and white and silver sneakers. "Darren, it's really you, how have you been, we have so much catching up to do!" he said excitedly as he hugged him, Darren doing the same.
"Hey, Zion, it's been a while hasn't it, almost half a year!" Darren laughed as he sat to the opposite side of Martin, the left of Zion's seat. "It seems we have a new kid,"
"Oh, hey there, my name's Martin, nice to meet you, Darren," Martin said, extending his hand for a handshake.
"Same to you," Darren said as they shook hands. "What did I miss, anything important?"
"No nothing much," a girl in front of them answered sarcastically. "Just an entire project!"
"Unfortunately, though your absence is excused, it impossible for me to excuse the project, it will be due in two weeks, I'll explain it after school, right now, you have a mini-essay to work on," Mrs. Pota explained.
"The trials of high school, am I right?" Darren sighed jokingly as he began to write as well.
All of their classes started and ended, and finally, lunch had begun. Students raced to the cafeteria lines, cash in hand, taking whiffs of the elegant aroma that was the school lunch.
"It's kind of annoying having to wait for lunch at the last part of the school day," a junior student complained.
"Maybe so, but it's worth it, the lunch made here is off the charts, you just can't beat it!" his friend reassured him.
"Holy crap!" Darren silently exclaimed as he felt his pocket, only feeling a hole in it. "My quarters must've fallen out, that only leaves me with 3 dollars, two dollars short of my favorite lunch!"
"Hey Darren, I got some extra money from my mom, here are three dollars if you need it," Zion said, almost as if he had read Darren's mind.
"You some kind of psychic or something, Zion?" Darren asked curiously as all Zion did was laugh.
"I come from experience, countless times, this belly of mine has left without any food, and those movements you made were the exact movements I would make when I was low on cash, which is why I am beyond grateful my little sister taught me how to cook," Zion answered as they both shared a chuckle.
"Haha, but seriously, thanks, you're a life-saver," Darren said as they got their lunch and sat down.
"That's what friends are for," Zion said as they turned to see Martin approach them.
"Hey guys, mind if I sit with you?" he asked as Zion got a little tense.
"Hey new kid, sure, sit with us" Darren answered as Martin sat down, causing Zion to inch to the other side.
"So Zion...can you tell me what happened...yesterday during our cardfight?" Martin asked in between bites of his burrito.
"You two had a cardfight?" Darren asked surprised.
"As a matter of fact, we-"
"Nothing to worry about, be quiet and enjoy your lunch, you're killing the vibe," Zion interrupted.
"What's your deal, buddy?" Darren asked concerned as Zion turned to the wall and ate.
"As I said earlier, nothing to worry about, be quiet and enjoy your lunch," Zion repeated as he continued eating his pasta.
"Welp, as I was saying, we did have a cardfight, somehow I won," Martin continued.
"Seriously Martin, did you not hear me say nothing to worry about?" Zion asked annoyed.
"That's the nicest you've been to me since yesterday, thanks," Martin said, ignoring Zion's question as Darren started laughing.
"What's so funny?" Martin asked. "Did I say something funny?"
"Yeah, that joke you made, haha, about beating Zion," Darren replied as he continued laughing.
"I'm not joking," Martin said plainly.
"Wait what?" Darren said confused as he stopped laughing.
"He's not joking," Zion admitted reluctantly.
"No way, then you must be crazy good," Darren said as he stood up and leaned towards Martin. "Are you some former world champion?!"
"No, don't get the wrong idea, in the end, I just got lucky, hehe," Martin said as Darren sat back down and stroked his chin.
"How many times did he stride, Zion I mean," Darren asked.
"Once, I strode twice," Martin answered. "He strode on Primary Arc Flame, Singed Insignia,"
"Well then I guess you were lucky, Singed Insignia is like, his weakest stride, ever, he was most likely just holding back. I don't expect you to know, but he beat both the former United States champion as well as the North American champion, both only using his strongest one stride," Darren said.
"That's impressive, really impressive," Martin stated.
"Thanks, Darren, always know how to lift my spirits," Zion suddenly said as he raised his arms up high in the air.
"That's what friends are for," he replied. "Hey, how about we have a cardfight to show how strong you really are?"
"Sure, watch closely Martin, you're about to see my true power let's do this," Zion replied with an enthusiastic smirk.
Darren told the supervisors and they allowed it, so they went to the arena where they saw a large cardfight table, Martin followed and sat down on a chair.
"You ready?" Darren asked with a smirk as they prepared their starting vanguards.
"Yeah, I'm ready," Zion answered as he and Darren prepared to stand their vanguards. Suddenly, a flash of light blinded the three who were there for a split second, the light faded, and Zion exposed the same dark aura from before as his eyes changed from blue to red and black.
"Zion, are you okay?" Darren asked.
"Perfectly fine, let's do this, Darren," Zion replied with a menacing tone as they prepared themselves.
My power will flow through you during this fight, use it wisely…
"Oh, I will, don't worry," Zion assured.
"Stand up, Vanguard!"
"Pyro Knight, Cretel!" Zion exclaimed as a gold dragon with a ball of fire as its face took holographic form on the field
Pyro Knight, Cretel
Grade 0/ Power 3000
"Sanctuary of Light, Planet Lancer!"
Darren exclaimed as a young boy with white armor and a lance in his hand stood tall on Darren's side of the field.
Sanctuary of Light, Planet Lancer
Grade 0/ Power 4000
Turn 1:
"I'll start us off, draw, I ride, Ion Dragon!" Zion called as a purple dragon with white and black wings took place of Cretel.
Ion Dragon
Grade 1/ Power 7000
"Pyro Knight, Cretel, Ion Dragon?" Martin asked confused. "What are these cards?"
"That's what I'm wondering, you said you were gonna show Martin your true power," Darren stated.
"Well then I guess you could say that this is my true power," Zion replied.
"What happened to your Kagero deck?" Martin asked.
"I don't know, but it doesn't matter, you'll still be overwhelmed by the power of IgKnights. "Cretel moves back with Forerunner, I end my turn,"
End Turn
Zion: Hand {5}
(R) [Ion Dragon{0}] (R)
(R) (Pyro Knight, Cretel) (R)
Darren: Hand {5}
(R) [Sanctuary of Light, Planet Lancer{0}] (R)
(R) (R) (R)
Turn 2:
"IgKnights? Zion, you're not being yourself, what's going on?" Darren asked.
"Oh, nothing, just a...change of heart," Zion answered with a chuckle.
"I'm not getting what you're saying, but maybe that'll change by the end of this cardfight. Stand and draw, I ride, Sanctuary of Light, Little Storm!" Darren said as a boy with armor and a drill-like spear took place of Planet Lancer.
Sanctuary of Light, Little Storm
Grade 1/ Power 7000
"With the skill of Planet Lancer in the soul, since Little storm rode on him, I can look at the top seven cards of the deck," Darren explained as he did just that. "I select Sanctuary of Light, Planetal Dragon from among them, and send it to my hand,"
"With that skill, the chance of being grade stuck will decrease, and then there's Little Storm's skill," Martin noted.
"You don't think I know that Martin," Zion said.
"Little Storm attacks, with his skill, since I have a Planet Lancer in my soul, it gains 1000 power!" Martin exclaimed as he stormed at Zion's vanguard.
(7000+1000=8000) ATK (7000)
"I guard with Sword Star, Kyos!" Zion exclaimed, sending the critical trigger to the drop zone.
"Guarding with a 10000 shield so quickly, what are you planning?" Darren asked with a serious expression.
"You'll just have to wait and see, Darren, just wait and see," Zion answered plainly.
"Okay then, drive check!"
Drive Check: Sanctuary of Light, Determinator (G2)
"That's right, the chain is now complete, I end my turn, your turn now,"
End Turn
Zion: Hand {4}
(R) [Ion Dragon{0}] (R)
(R) (Pyro Knight, Cretel) (R)
Darren: Hand {5}
(R) [Sanctuary of Light, Little Storm{1}] (R)
(R) (R) (R)
Turn 3:
As Zion stood his cards and drew, Ferteces, in his dimension, watched in satisfaction through Zion's eyes as they both looked at the hand Zion was holding.
"Very good Zion, at this rate, the first fragment of my plan will be a success…" he began.
"It is now time for the real fight to commence!" they said in unison as Zion rode. "Ride, Lenience Guard, Dasa!" he called out as a shield appeared, it floated high into the air as dark energy emerged from it, forming arms, legs, and torso, with hand and finger as well as feet and toes were formed on the arms and legs respectively.
Lenience Guard, Dasa
Grade 2/ Power 9000
"I call Blazewing Dragon, along with Fearless Knight, Oriha, to the front row rearguard circles, Oriha, attack Little Storm!"
(7000) ATK (7000)
"Should I let it hit and have the possibility of a trigger, or should I guard and conserve my damage to a minimum?" Darren asked himself but soon decided.
"No guard, damage check,"
Damage Check: Gliding Eagle (Draw Trigger)
"Good, power to Little Storm, draw," Darren said. "This is good, I've avoided his other rearguard's attack and increased my hand, hopefully, he won't pull a trigger so that I can keep my hand fortified,"
Damage Count: Zion (0) Darren (1)
"Doesn't matter, with a boost from Cretel, Dasa attacks your vanguard!"
(9000+3000=12000) ATK (7000+5000=12000)
"I guard!"
"Drive check, let's go!"
Drive Check: Merciless Knight, Malin (Stand Trigger)
"Nice, the power to Blazewing Dragon, stand Oriha,"
"Blazewing attacks your vanguard, with his skill, when it attacks a vanguard, add 3000 power and send the top card of your deck to the drop zone," Zion explained.
(8000+5000+3000=16000) ATK (12000)
"I guard,"
"Thanks to that draw trigger he pulled, Oriha can't attack this turn," Martin noted.
"I end my turn there,"
End Turn
Zion: Hand {5}
(Blazewing Dragon) [Lenience Guard, Dasa{1}] (Fearless Knight, Oriha)
(R) (Pyro Knight, Cretel) (R)
Darren: Hand {4}
(R) [Sanctuary of Light, Little Storm{1}] (R)
(R) (R) (R)
Turn 4:
"Stand and draw, I ride, Sanctuary of Light, Determinator!"
Sanctuary of Light Determinator
Grade 2/ Power 9000
"Since Little Storm is in the soul, 1000 power is added, then with his second skill, since both Little Storm and Planet Lancer are in my soul, I can superior call a Sanctuary of Light card from my deck, I superior call, Sanctuary of Light, Shining Blade, then with her first skill, since she was superior called by a Sanctuary of Light card, add 2000 power, then with her second skill, superior call a grade 2 or below Sanctuary of Light card from my deck, I superior call Determinator!" Darren explained.
"As expected from you Darren, from one attack to three without using a single card in your hand, nice job," Zion complimented.
True, he will be a very good asset to my army…
"Army, what army?" Zion thought.
All in do time my servant, all in do time…
"My rearguard Determinator attacks Blazewing Dragon!"
(9000)
"No guard, hehe,"
"Now my vanguard Determinator takes a shot at Dasa,"
(9000+1000=10000) ATK (9000)
"No guard again,"
"Drive check,"
Drive Check: Sanctuary of Light, Shooting Ray (Critical Trigger)
"Alright, the power to Shining Blade, critical to my vanguard!"
"Damage check,"
First Check: Lenience Guard, Dasa (G2)
Second Check: Exiled Knight, Furkro (G1)
Damage Count: Zion (2) Darren (1)
"Now Shining attacks your vanguard!"
(9000++5000+2000=16000) ATK (9000)
"No guard once again, damage check,"
Damage Check: Aiding Flame (Draw Trigger)
"Power to Dasa, draw,"
Damage Count: Zion (3) Darren (1)
"Okay spill it, what's your plan, first you guard a low power attack with a 10000 shield, then you let every attack this turn go through, you must have something in mind, this isn't your usual strategy," Darren said.
"Patience is a virtue, Darren, just say you end your turn and everything will be revealed," Zion replied.
"Okay then, I end my turn, do your worst,"
End Turn
Zion: Hand {6}
(R) [Lenience Guard, Dasa{1}] (Fearless Knight, Oriha)
(R) (Pyro Knight, Cretel) (R)
Darren: Hand {4}
(Sanctuary of Light, Shining Blade) [Sanctuary of Light, Determinator{2}] (Sanctuary of Light, Determinator)
(R) (R) (R)
Turn 5:
"Do your worst, you say, oh I'll do my worst, and I'll do it with this card, let's go!" Zion exclaimed as he shot a card in the air, dark energy surrounded it and half of Zion's body became engulfed in pure darkness.
The time has come, for you to descend into the void!
"Dragon king who shuns the weak and leads the strong, draw out your sword and rid the area of my foes, Shadow Ride! "Daunting Dragon King, Ferteces!"
Daunting Dragon King, Ferteces
Grade 3/ Power 11000
As he said this, Ferteces stood and shot an orb from his hand, it expanded into a portal as Ferteces slowly advanced through it, finally appearing above Zion.
"That doesn't look like a hologram," Martin said as he stepped away from him.
"Because I am not a hologram," Ferteces said as he looked down at Zion. "Finish this now, Zion!"
"Yes master, the time has come for me to finish this!" Zion exclaimed. "I call Ignoble Beast, Kios, Blazewing Dragon, and Allied Soldier, Autei!"
"You might be good Zion, but there's no way I'd lose to you that easily, bring it on!" Darren challenged with confidence.
"Oriha and Kios switch places in the column, now Blazewing attacks, you know its ability,"
(8000+3000=11000) ATK (9000)
"I don't guard," Darren said as he sent the top card of his deck to the drop zone, revealing a trigger. "Crap, damage check,"
Damage Check: Sanctuary of Light, Planet Lancer (G0)
Damage Count: Zion (3) Darren (2)
"Now with a boost from Oriha, Kios attacks your vanguard, with Kios's skill, counterblast look at the top 3 cards of the deck, send one to the hand, one to the drop zone, and the last one back to the top," Zion explained as he did just that. "It's all coming together nicely,"
(10000+7000=17000) ATK (9000)
"I guard!"
"This is where it ends, you've successfully doomed yourself, Darren, with a boost from Cretel, Ferteces attacks the vanguard, with Cretel's skill, send it to the soul and discard one card, if I do, I can send a card from my drop zone to the top of my deck, then with Ferteces Zenkai 2, and before you ask, Zenkai is IgKnights' keyword skill which activates when a certain number of cards are sent to your drop zone during my turn, Ferteces gains 1 critical and I can stand a rearguard, I stand Kios,"
(11000+3000=14000) ATK (9000)
"Wait a minute, Kios's skill, as well as guarding with a critical trigger, then with Cretel's skill, you stacked two triggers right under my nose,"
"That's right, but are you going to guard?" Zion asked with a smirk.
"14000 power, he has Kios standing, but he didn't boost Blazewing with Autei, there's no way he could've known he'd have a stand trigger check, so Autei must have a standing skill, so that will be 19000 without a trigger bonus, as for Kios, if he pulls a stand trigger and stands Oriha, that's 22000 power, I'll just have to complete guard, if I do, even if he does pull a critical, that'll only put me at 5 damage buy the end of the turn," Darren thought. "Complete Guard!"
"I win," Zion said with a small grin. "Twin drive check,"
First Check: Sword Star Kyos (Critical Trigger)
"All effects to Blazewing Dragon,"
"Just as I predicted," Darren said.
"You really think you're safe, Darren, oh no, you're not, the second check,"
Second Check: Sword Star, Kyos (Critical Trigger)
"All effects to Blazewing Dragon,"
"A double critical, are you serious!?" Darren gasped. "He knew from the start that no matter what I did, I was going to lose, this was all planned, but by who?" he thought as he looked at Ferteces. "Of course, it was him all along, a different clan, a different strategy, a different Zion, it was all his doing!"
"So it seems you've figured it out, I am truly impressed, human," Ferteces said. "It will not matter, however, once you are in my army,"
"Army?" Darren asked confused.
"Kios attacks your vanguard!" Zion exclaimed, bringing Darren back to the cardfight.
(10000) ATK (9000)
Darren stared at the grade 3 in his hand. "Sanctuary of Light, Planetal Dragon...no guard,"
Damage Check: Sanctuary of Light, Brightness Dragon (G3)
Damage Count: Zion (3) Darren (3)
"With Autei's skill, Blazewing Dragon finishes it!"
(8000+3000+8000+5000+5000=30000) ATK (9000)
"N-No guard, damage checks,"
First Check: Gliding Eagle (Draw Trigger)
"I need a heal trigger,"
Second Check: Sanctuary of Light, Shooting Ray (Critical Trigger)
"Please, I need a heal, final check!"
Third Check: Encourage Angel (Stand Trigger)
"Everything but a heal!" Martin said in shock.
"You asked for my worst, I gave you my worst,"
"Dammit,"
Damage Count: Zion (3) Darren (6)
"Zion, Darren, prepare yourselves, as for you," Ferteces commanded as he turned to Martin and opened his hand. "Close your eyes,"
"But-" Martin began as Ferteces closed his hand, knocking him out.
"I've won, master, now what do I do?" Zion asked as he turned to him.
"The corruption will now begin," Ferteces stated as he started to pull out dark energy from Zion.
"Gah! W-What are you doing to me, ah!" Zion exclaimed in pain as more and more energy was being pulled out.
"Stop it, don't hurt him!" Darren demanded.
"I will do as I see fit with my servants," Ferteces said with a glare as he continued to take energy from Zion, causing him to get angry.
"I said, DON'T HURT HIM!" he shouted as white energy conjured around him and blasted at Ferteces, causing both of them to be pushed back by the force of the blast.
"What...just.," Zion said weakly as he and Darren passed out at the same time.
"Disappointing, it seems he is not ready to handle the power he possesses, I will just have to train him, as for that other boy," Ferteces thought as he healed his arm. "There is a possibility that he could be one of them, intriguing..."
