Chu Chu Runs Away Part 2

After dinner, it was time for bed.

Akiko was in the boys' bedroom trying to get a ticklish and squirming Flip into his jammies.

"Flip! Hold still, you little monkey!" Akiko exclaimed.

The 10-year-old oldest son and child climbed into the bottom bunk because Stanley was to have the top bunk that night.

Tom was about to climb the ladder to the top bunk of the bunk bed set he shared with Alan, when Alan suddenly stopped him.

"Hold it, Tom, I called dibs on the top bunk, besides, little kids under six can't have the top." Alan said.

Tom climbed down from the third step of the ladder that he was on, "But, Alan, I will be adequate, besides, don't you get a surge of anxiety when you encounter a place of high altitude?" he countered.

"Yeah, I'm afraid of heights, but I still called dibs." Alan said to Tom, climbing the ladder to the top bunk.

Alan reached the top bunk and got under the covers.

"Don't go crying for Mommy when you get a little woozy, heh!" Stanley laughed at Alan.

Alan peeked at the bed across from the one he was going to sleep in, "Hey! On an airplane I don't get dizzy! Not at all!" he defended.

"As long as you don't look down, heh!" Stanley teased Alan.

"I wish I had my own bedroom," Alan grumbled to Stanley. "that way, I wouldn't have to put up with you and your teasing!"

"Stop it with the jokes, Stanley, and let's get some rest, I need a good eight hour beauty sleep." Henry groaned irritably.

"He'd better shoot for ten hours." Stanley whispered to Alan and Tom.

"I heard that!" Henry shot at Stanley.

Akiko put Flip in his racecar framed bed, the crib was in the girls' bedroom because it was needed for Nancy, "Boys, boys, please, no more arguing! It's time for bed." she scolded.

"Yes, Mom." Henry, Stanley, Alan, and Tom all sighed.

Alan yawned and shifted to his right hand side and fell fast asleep.

"Don't wake Flip," Akiko whispered. "he needs more sleep because he's still growing."

Akiko silently slipped out of her sons' bedroom unnoticed to check on her daughters.
