A/N: Quarantine day 0123456789..again, who is keeping count? Thanks to everyone that left me a note to continue this one shot. Stay safe, and healthy out there. Anyway..Enjoy.
It wasn't exactly a secret around Hollywood that they were a couple, if you were in their circle then you knew and they didn't hide it. Anytime he was filming she was there and she visited him often. His co-stars always respected his privacy and didn't gossip about him. The paparazzi was often paid off to keep them from publishing pictures of the two of them. The grumblings about them around the city were creeping up right before Fitz thought that it was a good idea for them to take a break. He knew she was trying to build a name for herself without him, this was her dream, a Grammy nomination, her own tour, the success of her debut album, all of it. How could he let them make this moment about him? He regretted the decision almost immediately but he made his bed, he had to lie in it. That was until four months later when he saw her at the dance studio. One of his female co-stars was a huge fan of Olivia's, she invited him out but she had no idea of his previous relationship with Liv. Fast forward a few hours and they were ready to announce their relationship to the world. He shook his head, this was crazy.
Fitz sat relaxed, legs outstretched in the Mercedes Benz sprinter van that Olivia's team had arranged to pick them up. He wore dark blue jeans, a white short sleeved button up Henley under a two button navy blue blazer. He hung his jacket on the back of his seat to avoid it getting wrinkled on the drive over. He sipped on the glass of scotch he brought with him as he watched her.
Olivia sat across from him wearing a burnt orange off the shoulder long sleeved crop top, with high rise black semi baggy windbreaker jogger pants and tan Puma x Buffalo London shoes. She wore gold hoop earrings with her two signature necklaces. One was a dainty diamond studded choker with the symbol "III" on it, he had given it to her a year into their relationship when they decided to be exclusive. The other was layered right below it and it was all gold reading "Liv", he loved them. Her style was always a turn on, she rarely wore skin tight clothing outside of the house, yet she was always sexy and drew you in. When you talked to her, she would leave you wanting more, needing more, Olivia had an infectious energy that everyone fed off of.
"C'mere."
His voice was so deep that it caught Olivia by surprise. She took a second before she said, "Fitz, we are in a moving vehicle.."
"Liv," He he warned, pausing until their eyes met, "I wasn't asking." He didn't know why she was protesting, the sprinter was like a house on wheels, it's not like they were in a sedan or something small.
Olivia eyed him from her seat, he was so handsome, and she loved how hot he looked with his shirt unbuttoned stopping right above his abs. This gave her a view of his defined chest muscles, she licked her lips unconsciously. Debating whether or not she should give him a hard time she sat there without moving. He knew how much she hated him bossing her around but she also loved his dominance.
Wordlessly she unbuckled her seat belt and slowly moved across the aisle to him, he held his hand out and she grabbed it. She moved to straddle his lap resting her knees on each side of his waist. Their arms intertwined, he loved the way his hand ended up right below his name on her wrist that was tattooed in red, and outlined in black ink. The red was perfectly contrast to her to her caramel skin, his name stuck out and caught your eye. He snapped a pic for his Instagram.
He and Olivia agreed early on to keep their tattoos covered for events. As a way not to draw attention to one another, he would usually keep shirts long or wear an over coat when he needed too. For movies and shows, hair and make up would cover it with body paint. She usually did the same or even wore a wrist band that was dressed up to what she was wearing. When asked about it she linked it to her guitar playing saying she needed somewhere to keep her guitar picks. No one questioned her further.
"Took you long enough, you acted like you were going to tell me no.." He trailed his fingers over her exposed shoulder before tapping the 'III' on the necklace she was wearing. "Three. I find it funny that you wear this, always, even when we were apart and yet no one ever asks you what it stands for?"
"Because no one pays attention to me like you do, no one cares." She shrugs, lifting his hand to her mouth to kiss his thumb. "And I always want to be near you, except when you try to boss me around."
"I meant no harm Liv, you always tell me no and I know you do it to annoy me. I was letting you know that it wasn't an option." He enjoys her lips on his thumb for a moment before continuing. "If you had just come when I asked the first time then it wouldn't feel like I am bossing you around." He smiled at her, "Plus, I wanted to tell you something."
Dropping his hand, she intertwined their fingers on his lap again. Her eyebrows shot up curiously, "Oh yeah, and what might that be?"
"I'm so fuckin proud of you," He smiled wider at the look of shock on her face, "I am serious, I wasn't there for the album release, and I never got to tell you this. You did it kiddo, you really fuckin did it."
"Don't call me kiddo."
He chuckled, "Really, that is all you got out of that?"
She rolled her eyes, "You know I hate when you call me that. Especially when you aren't that much older than me."
"Old enough." He said as he winked at her.
Olivia and Fitz met when she was nineteen and he was twenty-three. She would be twenty-four in a few months and he would be twenty-eight shortly after. From the beginning he would tease her constantly about his being older than her and he would call her kiddo to get her riled up. When they first met Fitz was enjoying being a bachelor and not being tied down to anyone, because he could come and go as he pleased. All of that changed once he got to know her, he truly enjoyed her company, and the passion she had for her craft was unmatched by anyone he had ever met. She was going to succeed by any means, but only on her terms.
"Just say thank you before I drop you on the floor." He sat up grabbing her and leaning forward like he was going drop her off of his lap. She squealed and he laughed, "Say thank you and I'll stop."
"Fitz- Fitz, thank you, thank you. Now stop."
He sat her up and kissed her, her lips the medicine he needed to ease his thoughts. He really needed her close to calm his nerves, he was anxious about them coming out as a couple. After a few minutes he hugged her to him.
"I love you so much Livvie, I just wanted a moment with you. A moment to hold you, to have all of your attention before the crowd of people are surrounding us pulling us in different directions."
"I will always come back to you, no matter who is vying for my attention. You are my favorite, my first and last." She hugged him tighter as she rested her face in the crook of his neck. "It is going to be hectic in here, you haven't been out with me in a while, and it isn't the same as before. We are going to have so much fun."
She sat up and pecked his lips before digging in her pocket and pulling out a small weed vape. "Smoke with me."
He grinned, "Still the same ol Liv." He watched as she closed her eyes taking a puff and blowing the cloud of smoke upwards. "You are so sexy."
She swayed on his lap side to side, dancing to the beat in her head. She felt the van slowing down and pulling up to the club. They were definitely the last ones to arrive, late as usual. "Baby, hurry and take a puff before we get out."
"I'm good Liv," He moved to lift her so he could put on his jacket and she stopped him, pushing his shoulders back.
"Smoke with me baby, please," She pouted sticking her lips out, "It will help you relax, you're too tense."
Her pout was the cutest, and he couldn't deny that he needed to take the edge off. He nodded ok and grabbed for the device but she pulled it out of his reach. He sat back and she brought it his lips for him to inhale. He inhaled deeply and blew the smoke out of his nose like a pro.
"Mmmm, do that again-" Liv started.
They both jumped when the driver banged on the window to signal he was ready to open the door. She stood and straightened out her clothes, grabbed her dark shades and her clutch. The cameras were already flashing waiting for them to exit.
Here we go.
Olivia exited the van first, the cameras were nearly blinding. The label had gone all out clearly, and beyond what she expected. She posed for a few yelling photographers before turning and looking for Fitz who still hadn't joined her on the street yet. Where was he?
Fitz sat in the van looking at his phone thinking of the perfect caption for his Instagram. He uploaded the photo of their intertwined hands and just simply wrote, #mylove with a red heart. He grabbed his jacket and pulled it over his shoulders buttoning his top button only. As he straightened out his clothes his phone starting going off, the six million fans on his social media were going crazy over his post. Shaking his head, he watched Olivia through the window of the van, everyones attention was on her but she was oblivious to the fact as she looked for him. "It's showtime." He said to himself as he opened the door and exited to catch up with her.
"Fitzgerald Grant? What is he doing here?" "You are at the wrong party aren't you pretty boy?"He heard multiple paparazzi yell as he walked to catch up with Olivia.
When he was close enough she hugged him and kissed his lips softly, at that moment the yelling and camera snaps became deafening. He smiled against her lips whispering, "You know how to cause a scene don't you."
She shrugged innocently, stepping back from him and pulling him inside. As soon as they broke the entrance all eyes were on them. She noticed her back up singers and best friends Abby and Quinn first. The whole crowd started chanting her name and she danced into the crowd that formed around her. Every two steps she was met with someone hugging and yelling for her.
"Liv! Bitch what took you so long?" Abby screamed over the abnoxously loud music. Olivia glanced over to Fitz and she winked at Abby.
"You slut!" They shared a knowing laugh.
Abby leaned in to hug Fitz, "Whats up asshole."
Fitz gave her a smug smile, "Nice to see you again too." He knew Abby would not like the fact that they were back together, she had sent all types of hate mail over his decision to ask Olivia for a break. He tried not to take any of it personal though.
"You hurt her again, and I'll fuckin kill you."
"Abby!" Olivia exclaimed, she was shocked that Abby wanted to do this now.
"Fuck him, Liv."
Fitz shook his head, "Livvie, I see Stephen at the bar I want to go say hello." He saw the look in her eyes, she was worried that Abby upset him. "I'm good, don't worry about it. Have fun." A kiss to her forehead and he was gone.
"Abby, what is you problem?" She scolded, when Fitz was out of ear shot. "I get that you don't like him, but don't be a bitch to him, especially around me."
"I'm sorry but you know I can't stand him. I had to let it be known where we stood, but I am sorry." Abby placed her arm over Olivia's shoulder and pulled her to see the rest of the guests there to celebrate her nomination. "Yeah, yeah, I know you love him, but the truth is the truth."
"Fitz, good to see you brother!" Stephen greeted him. "Wow, what an entrance by you and Olivia, I didn't know you two were a thing again."
"Likewise, and yeah, it kind of just happened today." Fitz rubbed the back of his neck, "I guess you can say I came to my senses."
"Damrite you did, and good thing because if I had to hear Abby talk about hooking Liv up with that R&B dude one more time."
Fitz set his drink down, "Wait, what? What guy?"
Stephen nodded his head and Fitz looked in the direction he was pointing in. He saw Olivia singing and dancing with the worlds biggest male R&B star Christian. The guy twirled Olivia around in a circle as they continued to dance closely. He couldn't deny that their chemistry was real, at first he thought the video was just a fluke but seeing it now confirmed that it was real.
"So Abby was trying to set them up?" Fitz asked as he turned back to the bar.
"Yeah, I think they went out on one date but Liv wasn't feeling it. You know how she is, she doesn't like new people in her circle, she is so private."
"Yes, I remember." Fitz nodded in agreement but he hoped Stephen was done because he wasn't exactly excited to hear that his love had been out with another guy. He wasn't worried or overly jealous though, Olivia's heart was with him, and he was confident in his ability to meet her every need.
"Well Abby said Olivia killed the whole thing before even giving it a chance, and probably because of you."
Fitz desperately needed to change the subject, he was annoyed at the fact that Abby had even thought of suggesting such a thing, "Enough about the girls, how have you been?"
"I've been good, Olivia has been keeping us all busy. She is finally getting the recognition that she deserves."
"I know, I may not have been around but I've been following her. I'm so proud of the crew, man you did it!" He signaled the bartender for two shots. "Cheers to you all."
They clanked glasses but before they could take the shot Fitz was bumped from behind. "What the hell?" He turned around angrily ready to go off.
"Excuse you."
"Here we go." Fitz said under his breath as he faced Olivia's cousin and manager Harrison. He braced himself for the wave of hate from him, just as he had gotten from Abby. "What's up Harrison, good to see you again."
"You know you have got some nerve showing up here after what you did to my cousin." His chest was puffed up and he was flexing his muscles.
Fitz smirked at how riled up and tough Harris was acting. He would destroy Harrison in a fight, he wasn't being cocky either he was just being honest.
Harrison pushed Fitz and got closer in his face, "Oh you think I won't knock that smile off of your face? Everything is game with you, huh, you think you were going to come here to open arms?"
Fitz chuckled, then turned serious, "Look, sure you are upset but remember your role. What me and Olivia do is none of your business. I don't want any problems but if you get in my face again, we will have a problem." Fitz stood and towered over the shorter Harrison.
"Big tough guy, yeah you're real tough. Just remember, Olivia would choose all of us over you and if we have to pull that card, we will." It was Harrison's turn to smile smugly.
"Is everything ok Harry?" Olivia asked as she approached. She hugged him and they danced in a circle. She saw Fitz take a shot and take his seat again at the bar. Olivia moved in between Fitz's legs and kissed him.
"I love you, come sit with me over there."
His Olivia, she was the sweetest person he knew, clearly he wasn't the only one she had that effect on. He wondered how he could hurt her the way he did, unintentionally or not. He was getting attacked from all sides tonight regarding her and yet she was in his arms loving on him.
"Olivia turn around, give me your phone let me get a picture of you two." Quinn yelled excitedly.
She pecked his lips one more time before turning in lap. Fitz wrapped his arms around her and looking into the camera. He smiled confidently as he rubbed his hand over her soft exposed skin at her waist. He snuck his thumb in her bra line and caressed her breast. It was unnoticeable to the crowd looking at them but he could feel her heart racing beneath his touch.
"I wish I could feel how wet you were right now," He whispered in her ear as they posed. He felt her moan and lean into him, before turning into his arms.
"Tease." She laughed into against his lips.
"Olivia come on, we want to get you on the microphone." Abby said as she grabbed her hand pulling her.
"Come with me, please." She whined to Fitz.
He finished his drink and pushed off of the bar walking with her, the crowd followed them.
He bumped shoulders with Harrison as they passed him, he pulled back from Olivia for a second and turned to him, "Don't ever threaten me again, Harrison. You don't want to get into a dick swinging contest with me, my dick will always be bigger." He watched as Harrison balled up his fist and he decided to add more salt to his wound. "Plus, we know she will leave all this shit for me, it has happened before." With that he caught up with Olivia wrapping his arm around her waist.
The scene was one that you would see in a movie, it was unreal. Every step they took people wanted to talk to her, hug her, dance with her. It took them forever to make it to the other side of the room. He sat and watch as the spotlight was on her, the guests in the room hung onto her every word. She thanked her team, she thanked her collabators and lastly she shouted him out. She thanked him for pushing her and being her motivation. His face was on fire as the people in the room started to zone in on him. She moved to kiss him and he gave her whatever she wanted or asked for, she wanted a hug, he gave it to her.
He looked on as she sang with Abby and Quinn, then she and Christian did a solo thing where they matched each others notes in a small challenge. They sounded incredible together, his mind wandered and he thought about what Olivia would feel like as he fucked her to this song. Jealousy wasn't his thing, if he ever felt threatened by another man then he would leave the relationship.
The night was starting to wind down but no one was moving to leave. He couldn't remember the last time he was out past midnight. Her energy hadn't changed though, she continued to dance and mingle with everyone giving them their own dedicated moment with her. She was so grateful that anyone would take the time to come celebrate with her and she wouldn't trade that time with them for anything in this world.
"Alright folks, it's time to wrap things up, let us all give a round of applause and ovation to the Miss Olivia Pope!" Everyone went bizerk, they jumped up and down yelling and clapping. "Congrats beautiful, good luck on your journey to the Grammys, we are rooting for you!"
"Are you coming to my place?"
"Nah," He took her in as she swayed to the music in front of him as he leaned against the bar. "Maybe we should just get together tomorrow, you can go with your team and.."
Olivia stopped moving and eyed him, trying to read him, "I know what you are trying to do," She wrapped her arms around his waist.
"I'm not trying to do anything, don't read into things."
"You want me to ask...stop, tell me you want me to come with you." She pulled his lip between her teeth and tugged on it. "This is my night, not yours."
He groaned at how sexy she sounded, "You don't tell me what to do Livvie, you know that is not how this works." He loved their tug of war, their tug of love, she pulled and he gave her some rope, then he would pull and she'd do the same.
"Liv, you were a hit tonight!" Quinn pulled Olivia from Fitz arms for a big hug, leaning side to side with her. "You deserve this, you deserve everything that is coming your way."
Fitz watched as her inner circle doted all over her, filling her with positive affirmations. He could see her wiping her eyes, overcome with emotion and he wanted hold her so bad. He would back off though, to allow her to go with the people she loved, to enjoy this moment with the people who had been with her the last few months. They deserved this moment.
He found an opening and wrapped Olivia in his arms, "You should stay with your people, I don't want to intrude." Her eyes seemed to swell up bigger and her expression told him that she wasn't leaving his side. She could freeze him with a look. "What do you want? Tell me." He leaned down to her so that he could hear her.
"You." With that one word he was melting in her arms, she drove him insane in a good way, "Lets get out of here."
A/N: If you made it this far, let me know what you think. How do you think his Instagram followers reacted to their picture? I hate to stop it there, but I should have the other part up in a few days. Thanks for reading, Until next time...
