When Mulan and I looked over the roof we couldn't believe what we were seeing. the man on the horse were selecting one men from every family to serve in the army for the order of the emperor.
"the Fa family!" the man called. "no" I heard Mulan whisper. then we saw Mulan's father walk over to the man on the horse. "I am ready to serve the emperor" Mulan's father said. Mulan quickly rushed down to her father.
I fallowed Mulan to her father. "father you cant go! please sir my father has served..." Mulan was cut of by the man. "Silence, you will do well to teach your daughter to hold her tong in a man's presents" The man said angrily.
Mulan's father looked disappointed. "Mulan you dishonor me" Fa Zhou said. I could tell Mulan was heartbroken at her father's words.
I placed a hand on her shoulder to comfort her. Fa Zhou then went inside along with Fa Li, Mulan's mother.
"are you okay Mulan?" I asked. "yeah I am okay...I just need some fresh air" Mulan said. "okay then, you can come get me if you want to talk" I said.
"thanks Lana, your very kind" Mulan said with a smile. I smiled back at her. then Mulan walked away with sadness.
when I went inside I could see Fa Li sadly cleaning up the dishes. "Fa Li? is everything alright?" I asked her. Fa Li turned around and looked at me.
"yeah Im fine its just that..." Fa Li paused to catch her breath. "its just that my husband has been serving in the army for years.
his back doesn't work well when he came back from the army one day and he can barely stand without his walking stick" Fa Li said.
"Oh, Im sorry to hear that" I said sympathetically. "Its alright, Mulan loves her father very much and she will do anything for him" Fa Li said.
I smiled at Fa Li knowing that she has a kind and loving daughter. "do you need any help around here?" I offered.
"no thanks I am okay. you can go relax or spend some time with your family if you want to" Fa Li said. "okay thanks Fa Li" I said.
then I went to the living room to sit with my family. my husband Scar wasn't around here. I didn't really care though.
he is probably off doing his own thing or something. "Are you okay Lana?" Uru asked me. "yeah I am fine mom" I said. "you seemed worried earlier" Mufasa said.
"Im just worried about Mulan. she seemed sad earlier" I said. "Im sure Mulan just needs some space right now" Sarabi said. "What was that about the huns they were talking about earlier?" Simba asked.
"oh they are evil people who invade cities and attack them. there leader is Shan yu" Mulan's grandmother said. "evil invaders..." Simba said with confusion. "Have they ever gotten anywhere near here before?" Mufasa asked.
"no they haven't gotten close to here yet" Mulan's grandmother said. "I know the hun's haven't gotten here yet Lana but whatever you do stay away from them" Ahadi said. "okay dad I will" I said.
"I think I'm gonna go rest now" I said. "okay Lana" Uru said. then I went to my room to go and rest for a bit. Its been a few hours now
and It is night time. I was sitting on my bed watching videos on my phone when Fa Li came in my room.
"hello Lana dinner is ready if you want food right now" Fa Li said. "I would but I am not hungry right now. thanks for the offer though" I said with a smile.
"your welcome, the food will be on the table if you change your mined" Fa Li said. "thanks" I said. then Fa Li left my room.
It is later in the night and I could hear Mulan shouting at her father. I cracked my door open so I hear what Mulan was saying.
"you shouldn't have to go!" Mulan shouted. "I will die serving the emperor and my family" Fa Zhou said.
"so you will die serving the army!" Mulan shouted. "I will die doing whats right!" Fa Zhou said. "But there are..." Mulan was cut off.
"I know my place! It is time you learned yours!" Fa Zhou shouted. Mulan was hurt by those words. she ran away and cried.
I was about to go after her but my husband Scar walked in my room. "Its time for bed now Lana" Scar said. "but I need to go see if..." Scar cut me off.
"I DONT CARE! WE ARE GOING TO BED NOW!" Scar yelled as he hit me. "Okay, fine" I said. "good now get in bed" Scar said.
I did as I was told and got in bed. Scar then got in bed too and wrapped his arms around me. "goodnight Lana" Scar said as he kissed me.
Then Scar fell in a deep sleep. after Scar fell asleep I quietly got out of bed and went outside. it was poring rain and I was soaking wet.
When I saw Mulan, she was sitting on a stoned statue. I walked up to her and sat next to her. "are you okay Mulan?" I asked her. Mulan looked at me sadly. "Im just worried about my father" Mulan said.
"I know your worried about him, he just wants you to be safe. like any father would. I know my father would want me to be safe too" I said. "I know, I just wish I could help my father" Mulan said. I placed my hand on her shoulder.
Mulan's eyes then turned to fierce. "Mulan?" I said. "I have an idea on how I can help my father. I am going to take my father's place and join the army" Mulan said. "then I am coming with you" I said. "okay, fallow me" Mulan said.
then Mulan and I walked into the house and walked to Mulan's parents room. Mulan's mother and father were sleeping peacefully.
Mulan then took the scroll on the desk and replaced it with her hair clip. We then walked into another room and we walked towards the closet.
Mulan then looked at me. "we are gonna have to cut our hair short. if we get caught we would get in big trouble" Mulan said.
"okay" I said. Mulan went first, taking the sword she cut her hair short. I went next cutting my hair short too.
Mulan then put her hair up in a bun. Mulan helped me and put my hair up in a bun too. Mulan opened the closet and there we saw two sets of armor.
one was green color and one was blue color. Mulan took the green color armor and put it on. I then took the blue color armor and put it on too.
"lets go saddle up my horse now. you can ride on the back with me" Mulan said. I nodded and then we walked to the stables.
when we got there Mulan's horse got spooked so we calmed her horse down. when her horse calmed down I helped Mulan put the saddle on.
we then put some saddle bags on behind the saddle where we packed our stuff. then Mulan got on the horse.
Mulan helped me on the horse. When I got on Mulan asked, "got everything, got your sword?" Mulan asked me. "yep got it" I said as I held my sword.
"okay then lets go" Mulan said. then we walked out into the road and into the pouring rain. as we were about to leave I heard a voice call out to me,
"Lana, wait!" The voice called. when Mulan and I turned around we saw My dad Ahadi, my nephew Simba, and my best friend Nala.
"where are you going Lana?" Ahadi asked me. "Im going with Mulan to join the army in her father's place" I said. all three of them were shocked. "are you crazy!? if they find out your not actually a man then they will kill you on the spot!" Simba shouted with worry.
"Its the only way to help Mulan's father" I said. "then I am coming with you Lana. I want to keep you safe" Ahadi said. "we will all go with you" Nala said. "I will go get the rest of the family" Simba said.
"okay" I said. then Simba ran inside to go get the rest of the family. "Are you sure you want to do this Lana? I don't want you to get hurt" Nala said. "yes Nala I am sure. I want to repay Mulan with the kindness she has given me. I said.
when I said that Mulan smiled at me. "thanks Lana" Mulan said. "anytime" I said with a smile. a few minutes later my family arrived.
everyone was here including my husband Scar. I was surprised he came. "are we ready?" Mulan asked. "yes were ready" I said.
"okay then lets go" Mulan said. then we all took off into the pouring rain.
