Chapter I. New Beginnings Start with A Legendary Entrance
"Take this- hey, what the hell?!"
An examinee watched as the green robot he was about to land on suddenly dodge and float above the ground. Surrounding it was a thin and subtle golden energy as the robot was slowly lifted.
Even among the mayhem of the entrance exam test with everybody rushing to gain points, several bystanders and other examinees noticed the abnormal activity and watched as the robot continued floating away. But it wasn't just one robot that floated midair. Other robots that the examinees were previously fighting against suddenly froze and were covered with the same golden energy before they all started to float.
"What the hell?! Get back down there!" one of them yelled in protest.
The robots wriggled and creaked loudly, willing themselves to break away from the energy's hold, but it was no use. Before anyone could comprehend what was happening, there was a loud cranking noise and suddenly all of the robots were torn apart and crushed into several broken pieces.
The examinees watched as the red glow from all of the robots' eyes faded away. The moment the robots were rendered into pieces, the golden energy surrounding them faded away and the remaining debris started falling. Others ducked and scrambled away to avoid the debris and becoming collateral damage, but to their surprise, the leftover remains of the robots landed gently on the asphalt instead of crashing against the ground.
"Sorry about that."
The rest of the examinees were startled by the voice and looked around them to search for its source. They turned behind them and there stood another teenager probably around their age. Just like them, she was wearing a black and white-lined track suit, except instead of wearing the jacket she had tied it around her waist. Her long dark hair swayed behind her and her eyes shone an eerie bright gold. She slowly started walking forward with her right hand raised on her side, as if holding an invisible object in her palm.
"I'll be taking over this area." She said. "You can find another place to gain points."
One examinee didn't take this lightly. He growled and started walking up to her as she stared her down with a piercing glare. "Who do you think you are?!"
The mysterious glowing eyed girl didn't look fazed by his outburst. Instead of replying, she stayed quiet and continued to remain in the same pose. However, more mechanical creaks were heard and behind the group of examinees were a bunch more testing robots waiting to engage in battle.
"Me?" she asked.
Before any of the other examinees could react, another robot dashed towards them. It was larger than the rest of the robots that were previously destroyed, which caused some others to run away in fright,
"Never mind that!" another examinee called. "Let's just crush this one and get the points! It's a three pointer, we won't be far behind!"
The boy who was about to face off with the glowing eyed girl scoffed. However, before he could even take a step, a loud crack resounded in the air.
"It's rude not to face people when you're talking to them."
All of a sudden, the robot was surrounded by a subtle glowing energy. A large dent appeared on the surface of the robot before it grew large. Before anybody could react, the dent had suddenly split open into a large gaping hole on the machine. Sparks and noises escaped the robot as it released a series of uncontrolled movements before finally falling onto the ground and crashing in decline.
"What-?!"
The rest of the examinees had a mixture of shock and confusion on their faces. They then turned back to the girl whose eyes were still glowing bright gold. She had stretched one of her arms in front of her in the direction of the robot and her palm was enclosed in a tight fist, as if she was the one who was responsible for its destruction.
"My name is Kirisato Shiori." The girl said. The shine in her eyes slowly faded away, revealing a pair of her radiant golden irises. She then started walking towards the robot while ignoring the stares of bafflement and disbelief surrounding her.
Raising her arms slightly in front of her, gold energy pooled around the surface of her palms and the air around her suddenly grew heavier.
Out of nowhere, several more robots jumped up behind the large robot in front of her. Shiori then narrowed her eyes as they glowed once more. Slowly, she raised one hand above her head and instantly closed her palm into a fist.
Yet again the robots in front of her suddenly burst and exploded into pieces. Other examinees watched helplessly as the robots remains fell on the ground, bouncing into small broken pieces. They looked at the teenage girl who remained unfazed. She turned behind her and to the examinees who were still frozen in place at the scene that just developed in front of them. Her eyes which were still glowing narrowed slightly, as if showing her piercing determination towards the other examinees.
"I'm going to pass this test and nobody will stop me."

Once the light had slowly faded away, All Might lowered his arm. He scanned the area around him and breathed a silent sigh of relief as he realized that nothing was damaged in the midst of the confusion.
He gave the civilian behind him one last look and turned to the nurse, who was slowly recovering from the shock of the blinding light piercing through the air.
"I'll leave him in your care." All Might said firmly.
The muscular hero then turned to face forward. He narrowed his eyes towards the source of the light and decided it was time to investigate. Crouching slightly, All Might then jumped and leaped forward. Thoughts raced in the blond hero's head as he continued to jump forward and neared the estimated location of the light source.
'Could this be a terrorist scheme?' he thought. 'No, that's impossible. There were no warnings or demands made by any villains prior to the destruction of this part of the city. A random attack by a group of villains? But nobody can generate power this big, even with the help of a large group.'
With one last jump, All Might caught sight of an area clear of any kind of infrastructural remains and debris. It was swept clean and paved a clear area in a circular motion, much like the shape of the light from earlier. Dust and smoke enveloped the area, thus obscuring his All Might from surveying his surroundings more accurately.
He landed on the ground, causing the ground to shake slightly at his landing. As the smoke started to disappear, a small silhouette could be seen inside the middle. The hero narrowed his eyes as he mentally prepared himself for whatever scenario was to come. Quickly, All Might slipped into an offensive position.
"Who is there? Show yourself!" he called out as he eyed the silhouette carefully.
Waiting for the smoke to clear seemed to go on for hours, but in reality, it was only mere moments. Little by little, the dust flew away and disappeared, no longer covering anything from the hero's sight. The hero let out a small gasp as his eyes widened in shock as the silhouette became clearer and uncovered by the dust and smoke.
"You are…!"

While the exam was ongoing, an usually loud explosion erupted somewhere nearby. The force was strong enough to cause a tremor and sway the ground beneath Shiori, but she managed to keep her balance.
Once the swaying had stopped, she looked up in alarm and tried to locate the source of the explosion.
Murmurs and cries of surprise echoed around her from other examinees, but she paid them no mind. Shiori then narrowed her still shining eyes and turned to look behind her. The other examinees had stopped their battles with the robots in order to satiate their curiosity for what could've happened, but the area was covered with tall buildings and skyscrapers. With her sight and location as it was, locating the area of casualty was near impossible.
She turned back to the examinees who had resumed their struggle against the robots. After her rather attention-seeking stunt earlier, less people opted to stay near her and spread out into the testing area. Having destroyed most of the robots in her area, Shiori had amassed a total of 41 points. Seeing as stealing other examinees opponents for herself would be going too low, she found herself feeling satisfied with her total score.
"It's no point to stay here anymore." Shiori mumbled to herself.
Then it was time she checked on that explosion. Taking a step back and breathing deeply, Shiori felt her body then slowly lifted itself into the air. She maneuvered her body to take a more comfortable position for flight before ascending upwards swiftly, flying higher than the buildings to observe her surroundings and taking a closer look.
As she finally reached a height way higher than the other buildings, she let out a wide gasp. To her east, a gigantic robot was slowly walking around the city. Each movement it made left a loud boom and several buildings surrounding it was destroyed due to its massive size.
For a moment, she was frozen. However, she turned her gaze towards the direction the robot was heading. Her mind flashed as she remembered a couple of other fellow examinees heading towards that same direction earlier as she was in the middle of gaining her points. Her mouth went dry at the thought of what may happen if they were to encounter such an overwhelming opponent.
There was no more time to waste. Swiftly, she flew towards the direction of the giant robot. As she neared towards the robot, it started to slowly lift its right arm. Assessing the situation and predicting that it would slam its arm on the ground to cause another tremor, Shiori flew faster and ducked lower to the ground in order to find out whether there were any injured or not.
As Shiori neared the area, her eyes quickly managed to assess the surroundings. There were several examinees running around in panic and yelling out loud as they tried to take cover. The smoke around the ground started to clear from the previous robot's crash and Shiori quickly spotted two small figures on the ground. One had their foot stuck underneath the rubble and another seemed frozen in place.
"Look out!" Shiori yelled out. Willing herself to fly down faster was easier said than done, but she had to do something. She turned to look behind her and gritted her teeth when she saw the robot's arm had started to make its descent down towards them.
She turned back to look at the ground, but was confused to see only one figure lying on the ground. As Shiori continued to fly downwards, she caught a short glimpse of something flash beside her, which caused her to stop abruptly in her pace. She turned back and looked up, watched in awe as a figure suddenly reappeared in front of the giant robot's head several meters above her.
A large yell was heard from the figure as he slowly leaned towards the robot. He then pushed his fist forward and cried out,
"SMASH!"
A great thundering boom resounded in the air as the force of the boy's punch landed on the robot. His punch was strong enough to not only destroy the entire head and create a huge impact, but he also managed to destroy the entire robot's mainframe. A sequence of explosions appeared all over the robot's body as it slowly fell backwards.
Shiori snapped back to reality. She turned her head back towards the figure still stuck under the rubble of debris and quickly flew towards them. As she neared the ground, Shiori quickly noted that it was a female stuck under the rubble. The said female examinee seemed to still be in awe of the fight that had just happened, but took quick notice of Shiori as she descended beside her.
"Are you alright?" Shiori asked loudly through the explosions still taking place.
"Huh? Uh, y-yeah! I'm okay!" the female said. Shiori took a quick view of her facial features; short brown hair and wide brown eyes. Apart from having her ankle stuck under some debris, she was physically fine.
Shiori then raised her arm. With her eyes glowing once more, golden energy surrounded the debris around the brunette's leg. When Shiori lifted her arm, so did the debris which freed the other female from it.
"Thank you!" the brunette said as she slowly crawled away from the leftover rubble and stood up. She dusted herself slightly and looked at Shiori with a small smile, but it quickly disappeared as an expression of alarm took over her face. The brunette then looked up with concern and Shiori followed her gaze, only for her to gasp loudly as she saw the boy who had beaten the robot fall from the air and was heading straight for the ground.
"At this rate, he's going to-!" the brunette cried out. She then started to run towards the area he was falling onto, heading to one of the leftover pieces of the robot.
Shiori didn't know what she was planning on doing, but she didn't trust her to handle cushioning the boy for a safe landing. With her eyes still glowing, she raised both her arms in front of her and concentrated on the figure of the falling boy.
Slowly but surely, golden energy surrounded him and his falling speed started to slow. The brunette who was mounting herself onto a fallen piece of the robot saw this and gazed in awe as the injured boy slowly floated down. She then turned her gaze at Shiori, who was slowly lowering her arms in the same pace as the boy's landing speed as if she was controlling his body and the speed at which he was landing down.
"What's happening to me?" the boy said as he slowly descended on the ground. A small 'oof' escaped him as he landed on the ground in a sitting position against a clear part of the asphalt.
When he was gently laid on the ground, the glow from Shiori's eyes disappeared. Beads of sweat traced down the sides of her head and quick huffs escaped lips. Her quirk may be strong and powerful, but her body was starting to feel the after effects of being used for too long. Despite her body aching from head to toe and her breathing pace faster than normal, she still ran towards the pair of examinees in front of her to make sure they were okay.
"Was it you?" The brunette asked as Shiori neared them. She exchanged glances with the brunette and Shiori gave her a nod in confirmation, to which the brunette's eyes widened in surprise.
Shiori then turned towards the boy. Taking a closer look at him, the first noticeable thing was the fact that his entire arm was purple and limp— a clear sign it was broken. His clothes were dirty and in tatters, but no other obvious signs of injury were present. The boy had green hair and green irises and a couple of freckles (or dirt, Shiori speculated) on his face, but otherwise he seemed fine.
"You… you saved me?"
Shiori blinked as she tried to calm her breathing. Using her quirk too much and for too long took too much energy and stamina out of her. The boy, who at first looked at her in shock and disbelief, then gave her a teary expression of gratitude. She slowly nodded in affirmation, to which the boy let out a small exhale in relief. But then he jerked up so suddenly, he ended up landing face first into the pavement.
"Wait, you're injured. Stop moving recklessly." Shiori said as she tried to reach out towards him, but could do nothing more as he tried to crawl.
"I can't afford to— Not now! I still haven't… gotten any points! Just at least one point!" he rasped out as he continued to crawl.
Shiori stared at him in confusion before her expression slowly turned into disbelief.
'You mean… he just risked his life, the time limit, and everything just to save her?' Shiori thought incredulously as she turned towards the nameless brunette who was still standing on top of the robot debris. 'They don't look like they know each other, but yet he still didn't hesitate to do that? Even though it seems like he doesn't have any points.'
Other examinees began to appear in the scene. Murmurs and whispers were exchanged as they watched the trio in front of them. Some were speculating that he probably had an enhancing type of quirk which was why he was able to punch the robot while the rest were wondering why he seemed so scrawny despite yielding so much power.
"Wait, where did she come from?"
"I saw her flying from the other side of the testing ground. Maybe she has a flying quirk?"
"Strange, because she lifted the debris from that other girl right? It's probably not a flying quirk, maybe a floating quirk!"
As the people surrounding her grew, so did Shiori's anxiety. She turned to look around her and she could feel her nerves slowly become more and more jittery. Unknowingly, her quirk activated and small pieces of debris and cement started to float and crack around her through the force of her quirk, which caused other students to release a noise of surprise.
Before Shiori could have the chance to flee, a new voice spoke up.
"Good work, good work!"
From behind the crowd of people, a small and old woman appeared and started walking towards them. She wore a white lab coat that seemed too long for her and walked with a cane. She appeared to be wearing some sort of headgear and her hair was tied neatly into a bun with a hair net and pinned with… a syringe?
Looking at her outfit, Shiori recognized her as the medical hero Recovery Girl. At the sight of medical personnel appearing at the scene, Shiori let out a relieved exhale.
Slowly, Shiori took a few steps backwards before turning around and walking away. As she headed away to avoid the scene, she turned towards the green haired boy that laid helplessly on the ground as if he was in too much pain to move.
Even if Shiori wanted to help him herself, she was in no position to. She took once last glance at him and turned back forward to activate her quirk once more. Despite the pain and leftover ache her body had started to get used to, her eyes glowed once again as she she used her quirk to lift her body up and fly up into the sky, leaving the injured boy and the brunette alone as she flew away to another side of the testing area.
INDIVIDUAL QUIRK DATA SHEET:
Kirisato Shiori (霧里 詩織)
Age: 16
Sex: Female
Quirk: Telekenesis – this quirk allows Shiori to lift and manipulate objects through will. When activated, Shiori's eyes glow bright gold and small wisps of golden energy appear around her hands. By using simple hand gestures, Shiori is able to either manipulate objects with a wave or crush them by simply closing her fist. While the weight and size of an object doesn't matter, she is unable to lift any kind of object that isn't in her direct line of sight. She is also unable to use her powers on herself while using it on other objects or people (example: she cannot lift objects or people while lifting herself in mid-air). Her quirk also goes out of control whenever Shiori feels emotionally overwhelmed which either causes small objects to float in the ground or causes minor destruction on nearby objects.
