The Jinchuriki Hero-2
~Disclaimer: I own neither, Naruto nor MHA. Enjoy
"Oh man, you gotta be kidding me. So many villains coming after me, just because I busted your underground drug ring sweatshop? I'm touched."
A young man spoke, his voice slightly distorted, most of him disguised, as he looked at all the villainous goons surrounding him holding weapons of all sorts. He wore a red and black hoodie with the hood pulled up to cover his hair. Covering his mouth and cheeks, he wore a black half balaclava mask, with a mesh wired front to allow for easier breathing, and he had on black pants with steel toed combat boots to go with his dual colored hoodie. He was of rather average height, being five-foot-nine, and muscular to match with it. Crimson red hair peeked out from under his hood, and he had red markings around his yellow eyes, eyes with canine shaped pupils and blood red irises. The clothes he wore seemed a little baggy on him, and looked like they could go for a fitting to get properly sized.
He was surrounded by at least thirty villains.
"You little punk, we were making good money off the products to." One of the villains said.
"By forcing innocent children, to work for nothing making meth and other drugs?" He questioned. "Do you realize the pain you've put those children's families through by kidnapping them? The brain damage they got from you forcing them to work around chemicals without proper safety gear and protection? Your little operation ends, TONIGHT." He shouted his voice getting deeper, as his body grew nearly two feet in size, his nails elongating and sharpening to a razor's edge, and his pupils becoming thinner.
In the blink of an eye, the young hero sped around the villains, destroying their weapons with a swipe of his claws, with ease before returning to the center of the circle, shrinking back down to his normal size as he was now surrounded by unarmed enemies.
"Do you guys give up?" He questioned, before pivoting backwards on his left foot to move out of the way of one of them throwing a fist.
Grabbing his enemy by the wrist and upper arm, he spun back around and performed a flawless shoulder throw on the villain.
"Guess not." He said, smirking under his mask. "Good. I was afraid you were going to make this boring for me."
~Ten Minutes Later~
"Everybody stay where you are. This is the police and Pro-Heroes we have… huh?" Detective Tsukauchi began before he stopped, seeing the place was in ruin, and the Pro's following him in, Endeavor, Mirko, Kamui Woods, and Death Arms, all looked in shock as the red and black hooded young hero was sitting atop a pile of unconscious drug dealers and kidnappers. He pulled up his mask after drinking a Fruit Punch flavored Rockstar, just before any of them could get a good look at his face, not that they could, they were at the entrance to the supposed abandoned building, which was at least twenty feet away from the pile of unconscious men he was sitting on.
"Ah, look who decided to show up." He chuckled as they all approached him. "Sorry but the party's over, all that's left is the cleanup."
"Who the hell are you?" Endeavor questioned.
"Mmm… Call me Kurama." He smiled standing up on the top of the pile.
"You're ripping off the heroic name of the great, late Naruto Uzumaki?" Mirko questioned.
"Eh, he's an idol of mine. I look up to him and his legacy." Kurama said, smiling under his mask. "But what's surprising is your forming a team. I thought you considered teams as weak?"
"I'm not part of the actual raid team. I'm just here 'cause I wanted to kick some ass." Mirko chuckled. "Glad to see you're a fan of mine."
"Did you do this?" Tsukauchi questioned, keeping his firearm ready, while interrupting their conversation.
"Yes I did." Kurama said, appearing behind Tsukauchi, which meant he was in front of the other heroes, causing them to jump at his sudden appearance. "An' before you ask, no I didn't use my Quirk on any of these clowns. But I did use it on their weapons."
"Grab him." Death Arms shouted making a grab for Kurama, but was too slow. "He's fast, is this is Quirk?"
"Hah, no. The speed you saw is just a result of my martial arts training. Why'd you try to grab me anyways?" Kurama questioned appearing on a catwalk above them.
"You illegally used your Quirk to fight against villains, which makes you a vigilante." Kamui Woods exclaimed.
"Tsk-tsk-tsk. I thought you heroes knew the law better than that. Yes it is illegal to use your Quirk against a villain without the proper license, as in a living person. But there's nothing in the law that dictates you can't use it on inanimate objects, or if said objects are in people's hands." Kurama said, waving a finger with each tsk.
"I hate to say it but he's right." Mirko stated with a sigh, while keeping her smile on her face. "He's still within his legal rights of Quirk usage."
"I'd have to agree with her on that one. The use of Quirks against inanimate objects in self-defense is the one and only exception to the law regarding fighting with a Quirk. He exploited that loophole down to its very core." Tsukauchi stated. "What is your Quirk?"
"Sorry, but telling you that would be telling you a clue to my identity." Kurama stated.
"We could easily find that out from your fingerprints or any DNA you left behind." Endeavor stated.
"Don't bother, the only thing my prints are on are the bruises I left on those villains. So unless you count fist prints, it's pointless. An' the only thing my DNA is on is the tissues I leave in the waste been at home after blowing my nose. Even the empty energy drink won't help you, since it's in my pocket." Kurama exclaimed causally walking along the catwalk with his hands behind his head, before he surprised them and began to walk on it upside down. "One more thing Endeavor. I know about everything, how you treat your son, your children, even how you treated your wife which drove her to insanity. So I'd be careful if I were you, wouldn't want your precious reputation getting out in public."
"Why you little…"
"Easy there." Kurama chuckled dropping from the catwalk and landing on his feet with his fist on the ground. "If you use your Quirk on me, when I haven't done anything illegal, then you're the one who'll be arrested for charges of villainy along with everyone else here."
"Calm down Endeavor." Tsukauchi said. 'What exactly is this kid talking about? What does he have on Endeavor that he'd get so worked up about?'
"Anyways, the children you're looking for are down below our feet, the locks to their cages have already been broken, and all the drugs and stuff are gathered in a pile where they can't reach it. Some of them are gonna need some major rehab with what they've been put through." Kurama stated. "Well I'll leave you to it."
With that Kurama vanished, leaving the heroes alone, before he reappeared outside the building, going to a corner of the fence he left a large duffle bag covered by leaves. Opening it, he smiled as he saw the contents of the bag hadn't been touched, before closing it up again.
"No harm in taking some well-earned reward money." He said before vanishing again, as he was spotted running along the rooftops of the nearby buildings, the duffle bag full of yen not weighing him down at all, only stopping when he felt his phone buzz. He pulled it from his pocket and sighed with a chuckle, seeing it was a text from his mom, asking when he'd be home.
K: I'll be home in ten to fifteen minutes.
M: You'd better be. You've been pushing yourself so hard in your training, are you sure you're not planning on applying for the hero course?
K: No mom, I'm applying for the support course, but maintaining a lot of gear, especially heavy gear, requires strong muscles.
M: Fair enough. Just come home safe, last time you came home you had a piece of shrapnel stuck in your shoulder.
'Don't remind me.' He thought.
K: Don't worry mom, I'll be home soon, love you.
M: Love you to Kaen sweetie, I have your dinner waiting for you in the oven alright? I made beef ramen for dinner, your favorite.
K: You're the best mom.
Kaen put his phone away, and went back to running across the rooftops, removing his mask with a smile, revealing sharper than normal canines, as his eyes changed from red and slitted pupils, to a normal emerald green, and the eyeshadow disappeared. He stopped in an alley near his home and changed out of his vigilante hoodie, into a normal red one he was infamously known around the neighborhood for wearing, before walking the rest of the way to his house.
"I'm home." Kaen called out opening the door, and walking through the house.
"Welcome home dear. You've got a couple visitors." Nemuri called out. "We're sitting at the table."
"Oh no." Kaen groaned.
"An' so there we were, sitting across from each other starring directly into one another's eyes in a starring contest, and without him realizing it, Kirishima pours wasabi all over his ramen and he slurps up some noodles before he screams in pain as his lips are burning from the intensity of the wasabi." A familiar girl's voice echoed from the kitchen table.
"You should have seen his face. It was priceless." Another girl's voice said from the same table.
"So now you're telling my mom embarrassing stories about my school life, huh Kirishima, Ashido?" Kaen chuckled tossing his duffle bag up the stairs, somehow getting it to land right in front of his bedroom door. "What are you both even doing here?"
"What are we doing here? Well duh, isn't is obvious?" The pink haired and pink skinned Ashido asked. "We came because you promised us a double sleepover all weekend this week, remember?"
"Oh that's right. I forgot about that." Kaen said.
"They got here just a few minutes after I texted you honey." Midnight smiled.
"Of course they did." He sighed. "Hey mom, don't you have a patrol tonight?"
"Oh that's right. Sorry I can't stay and chat longer. I'll be late for my patrol if I don't go now." Midnight said grabbing her purse. "Love you Kaen sweetie. Your dinner is in the oven staying warm, and I'll be back in a couple hours. There's money on the counter should you feel the need to order any takeout for snacking on, and don't stay up too late. It might be a weekend, but you do have responsibilities around the house to take care of during the day."
"Yes mom." Kaen chuckled, thinking money wouldn't be a problem.
"An' don't be reckless with being around two young women like them. I don't wanna be a grandmother just yet." Midnight teased.
"Mom." Kaen exclaimed his face blushing madly.
"I'll ask you about how your first shift went today when I get home. I hate pulling all-nighters, but it helps to pay the bills. Have a good night sweetie, and remember, don't do anything I wouldn't do." Midnight said.
"Yes mom." Kaen smiled as Midnight left. "Have a good shift."
"So, what do you wanna do first?" Mina asked, hoping over to him, and bending over, giving him a good view of her cleavage. "Support Course Entrance Exams are in a couple days aren't they? The Hero Course Exams are about a month away."
'I'd like to motorboat your G-Cups… What am I thinking? No, bad, bad Kaen, that's mom's influence talking.' Kaen thought smacking his cheeks to hide his blush. Can you blame the guy for thinking like that, he was raised by the R-Rated Hero Midnight. "Uh no actually, they're about a month away, a day before the Hero Course Entrance Exams. Why don't you both give me a minute to get changed then we can start playing video games. In fact, why don't you start the games without me?"
"Sure thing dude." Kirishima said, pushing her black hair out of her face.
Kaen rushed upstairs and dragged his duffle bag into his room, sliding it under the bed before going to his dresser and grabbing a change of clothes. After getting dressed in a pair of black sweat pants with a matching tank top, a couple sizes too big for him, he went down to the living room and found Ashido and Kirishima watching the news.
"Hey what's up? I thought we were going to take turns playing Doom Eternal VR?" Kaen exclaimed.
"Shhh, check it out. There's a new vigilante in town." Ashido said, dressed in a light purple spaghetti strap crop-top and a matching pair of booty shorts with a white stripe down the sides. Kirishima was sitting on the couch, dressed in a white muscle shirt and blue shorts.
{"I am here on the scene of the crime where all children, having been reported as missing over the past six months have been rescued and taken to hospitals around the area. The raid on this child enslaving drug ring was led by Detective Tsukauchi of the Musutafu Police Department. Though it is clear that the fight had ended before it began, as eyewitnesses reported seeing a masked man clad in red and black entering the building, before leaving. Police and officials have recovered millions of yen as well as millions worth of meth, cocaine and other such drugs. It is unfortunate to say that some of the children that had been forced into creating the drugs have shown signs of addiction. Here with me on the scene is Detective Tsukauchi let's hear what he has to say about all this." The Anchorman said, before turning to Tsukauchi. "Detective can you tell us what happened here tonight?"
{"First I'd like to let the record show that I cannot divulge everything that has happened but I can say that the drug ring was brought down, by a vigilante. Now normally it would state that we would put an arrest warrant out on his head. But all evidence points to him having a mutation type Quirk, and everyone we've questioned who had been part of the fight, or surrendered peacefully, said the same thing, that he did not use his Quirk against these villains, so we cannot put out a warrant for his arrest, unless he chooses to use his Quirk unauthorized against a living person. The evidence only shows he was exorcising his right to use his Quirk against weapons directed at him, and not the people wielding them. He goes by the name Kurama, as he idolizes the late hero Naruto Uzumaki who went by the hero name Kurama, and if I had to make a calculation and educated guess, I'd say he's been trained in the ancient art of the shinobi, and is very strong and very powerful, as he is able to harness the life energy known as chakra.
{"Isn't Chakra known to be the basis of all Quirks?"
{"Theoretically that was the case, but science and Quirk study has proven otherwise. Chakra is the life force that flows through all of us, and through a certain regiment of training, one can harness its power to do many different things, and perform many, and seemingly impossible feats that would make it look like someone has multiples Quirks. Examples being breathing giant balls of fire, unleashing blades of wind, letting loose a hurricane of electricity and so much more countless acts, known as Jutsu. Chakra can even be used to enhance one's physical abilities such as strength, speed, and reflexes. Even Naruto Uzumaki, the original Kurama, could harness chakra.
{"An' what in regards to this new Kurama did you find that could identify him as someone who's selfless and isn't in the act of vigilantism for kicks?
{"When we searched the building, we couldn't find any trace of any malicious intent, we did find however that before the fight began, he had treated the injuries that some of the children sustained, which tells us he's only wanting to protect the peace and secure our future for the next generation, though we do speculate he's no older than fourteen or fifteen. So Kurama, if you're out there and you're watching, I say this to you, turn yourself in before it's too late, and we can guarantee you a spot in U.A's Hero Course."}
"He's not gonna show himself." Kaen smirked muting the television.
"Seriously? You learn there's someone out there desecrating your grandfather's hero name, and that's what you have to say?" Kirishima asked.
"Listen. It doesn't matter if this kid is using my grandfather's hero name or not in his vigilantic schemes. From what I've seen, he's living up to the name, and not just wearing it because he's a fanboy of my grandfather's. He most likely wears his heart on his sleeve, and if push comes to shove, he probably will use his Quirk when it comes down to it." Kaen said grabbing the ramen out of the oven. "I say he's not going to show, because as a vigilante, he's got more free rein on using his Quirk to help people, rather than when he would if he gets a license." Kaen said as he began to eat his ramen.
"He's got you beat in that argument Kiri." Ashido smirked.
"Alright, alright. I get it already, quit razzing me about it." Kirishima sighed combing her fingers through her black locks. "By the way Kaen, how's the arm doing?"
"Hmm?" Kaen questioned.
"You know, the injury you sustained when helping our classmates by fighting that big villain with the radio around his neck around eight months ago?" Ashido exclaimed gently gliding her index and middle fingers along the surgical scars running down Kaen's right arm. "I still feel bad about that, since I'm partially to blame for it."
"This again?" Kaen questioned before finishing his ramen. "I keep telling you two it's fine. I was able to hold him off long enough for you to escape and get help, without having to use my Quirk, so there's no need to apologize."
"Still, your arm got crushed, the x-rays showed the bones in your right arm were a freaking jigsaw puzzle, and it had to be completely replaced by a metal prosthetic and…"
"That's enough." Kaen stated firmly, his face showing a stern expression before it softened with a smile. "I did what any hero in my position would have done, and if I had to do it all over again, the pain of having my arm crushed, the surgeries, the therapy and the strain that came with it, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat, if it meant saving my friends, the people I care about. That's what my grandfather would do, it's what my dad would do, and it's what my great grandparents would do as well. So there's no need for either of you to apologize for it. I at least got to check something off my dream list."
"Damn… why'd you have to go and be so manly like that?" Kirishima asked crying. "How am I supposed to counter argue that huh?"
"Kaen…" Ashido said, a bit of a purple tint dusting her cheeks, as her eyes looked at him filled with inspiration and wonder, touched by his words. The slight blush and look of admiration in her eyes went unnoticed by Kaen as he went to wash up his dishes.
"Anyways, are we setting up the game or are we just gonna watch the news all night?" Kaen laughed.
"We're setting up the game all right." Kirishima cheered.
Kaen was about to help set it up, before he felt a vibration in his pocket, and knew it was his phone going off. Someone was calling him, and he only had one person set up on his phone for the heartbeat vibration.
"I'm sorry guy's it's my boss. I'll be right back I just gotta take this real quick." Kaen said.
"Kay, come back soon man." Kirishima said as Ashido was preparing the snacks that they brought.
Kaen went upstairs to his room and answered the call, practically knowing what this call was about.
"Hey boss. What's up?" Kaen asked.
"I just saw the news. Well done, you made quite the splash with your debut, there are already dozens upon dozens of postings online filled with theories about what your Quirk might be, and what Jutsu you might be able to use." A woman's voice said from the other side of the line.
"I'm sure there are." Kaen chuckled. "But knowing you, that's not the only reason why you called, is it?"
"No, that's actually all I wanted to say. Keep up the good work, I'll be in contact with another job for you, in the future. Your payment for tonight is already in your account."
"Thanks boss."
"Enjoy your weekend Kaen. Why don't you go out for a walk? It is a nice night." An' with that the phone call ended.
"Why would she suggest I go for a walk?" Kaen questioned.
"Kaen get down here." Mina's voice called out. "We want you to use your skill to guess a woman's cup size on Mirko, she's on television right now."
"Why did mom have to teach me that skill?" Kaen groaned leaving his room and going back to where the others were, as Kirishima was still setting up the game console, while ignoring Mirko on the screen above her.
"Well, what's her cup size?" Mina questioned.
Kaen looked to the screen, and sighed, knowing exactly what Mirko's cup size was at first glance from meeting her earlier that night.
"She's a J-Cup." Kaen exclaimed.
"Seriously? Oooh, her poor back." Kirishima exclaimed wincing at hearing this.
"I still find it amazing you can do that, yet you aren't a pervert." Ashido smirked.
"Blame my mom for that. I have no idea why she thought it was a good idea to teach me that." Kaen sighed with a blush, looking away.
"Still dude, that's impressive." Kirishima chuckled. "Are you sure your mom's all right with you spending the night alone with a couple girls?"
"Trust me, she's been doing stuff like this with me since I hit puberty. You do not, wanna know how I learned where babies come from." Kaen said shivering a bit.
"Well, console's all set up. But before we start… I bet you can't guess what sizes our chests are." Ashido smiled, seeing the blush on his cheeks. "We've grown quite a bit since the start of our final year in middle school."
"Ashido, you're a G-Cup, Kirishima you're an E-Cup." Kaen sighed, knowing that if he didn't do it now, they'd try to get him to do it by going to more… extreme measures.
"Wow, he really can predict our cup sizes." Kirishima said in awe.
"All this talk about cup sizes has gotten a little uncomfortable for me." Kaen sighed grabbing his jacket. "I'm going to go for a walk."
"Don't be out too late." Ashido called as he left before turning to Kirishima. "You think we made him uncomfortable?"
~With Kaen 45 Minutes Later~
"Damn it mom. Why did you have to teach me a bunch of useless perverted skills?" Kaen groaned munching on a candy stick as he was making his way home. "At least I won't have to deal with her as much in the support course, than if I were in the hero course."
Kaen decided to take the long way home, which involved walking past the Hassaikai Manor, where the guards and Head of the Hassaikai always treated him nicely. But ever since the old man had gotten sick, the young head Chisaki, took over and they've been giving him the cold shoulder.
He wasn't all that skilled in using his sensory abilities involving the manipulation of his chakra, but he did know one thing every time he walked past, he could sense an evil malice inside the manor, one that enjoyed tearing apart the weak.
Kaen was too caught up in his thoughts, to notice something coming from the alley before it bumped into his leg. He looked down, and to his surprise, he saw a young girl in an oversized shirt, making it look like a dress on her. Her hair was a silvery white, and she had a horn on the right side of her forehead. Her arms and legs were wrapped in bandages, and Kaen could see the fear in her eyes as she looked up at him, before hugging his leg tight.
"Wait… you're the old man's granddaughter… Eri…" Kaen said his eyes wide when he recognized her, it had been quite a while since he had last seen her, and she had short hair when he had.
"Please… help me…" She pleaded, her voice filled with fear, with tears threatening to fall down her face.
Activating his Chakra sensory abilities, Kaen could sense someone else with an evil aura, definitely male, making his way to them, and without thinking, Kaen grabbed Eri and in a flash disappeared from sight, reappearing on the roof of a nearby convenience store, and looked to where they had just been, while also hugging Eri close to him, to keep her quiet, and growled when he saw it was the Young Head of the Hassaikai radiating that evil aura he sensed.
"Chisaki." He growled, his eyes turning red with fox slit pupils.
"Now where could that silly girl have gone off to? We still have plenty more experiments to put her through." Chisaki said, thinking no one was there to hear him.
Kaen held Eri tight in his arms, and jumped away, using chakra to enhance his speed and make it to another building's roof, only this time it was a sky scraper in the city, and the streets below were bustling.
Once safe, Kaen loosened his grip on Eri, and sat down, leaning back against one of the ventilation pipes, letting out a deep breath, before looking down at Eri, his eyes back to normal, seeing Eri still clinging to him, with her eyes tightly shut, whimpering in fear.
"Hey Eri…" He said in a soft, calm voice. He remembered the lessons his boss taught him on helping people, not just physically, but mentally to, and kept a warm smile on his face. "It's okay. Chisaki is nowhere near us anymore."
Eri was still a bit hesitant, but opened her eyes and looked up at him, while he still cradled her in his arm.
"He's gone?" She asked.
"Mmhmm." Kaen nodded. "He's gone. He's not going to hurt you anymore."
Eri was just looking at him before she began to cry, and buried her face into his chest again.
"Thank you… thank you…" Eri said in a hushed tone.
Kaen gently laid a hand on her head, and rubbed her back, letting her cry to her hearts content, while comforting her. It was around another ten to twenty minutes of this, before he received a text from Ashido.
A: Where are you? Kirishima is already on her fourth level of Doom Eternal?
K: Something came up, but I'm on my way back now. Call my mom, and tell her to meet me back at home, this is something big, and important she has to be made aware of.
A: Are you okay? Did you get mugged and use your Quirk on the criminals?
K: I'm fine. But I can't really say the same for the victim of the crime.
A: All right, I'll give her a call. Please be safe when coming back.
K: I will, also, there's some canned chicken noodle soup in the pantry, I need you to heat some up before I get back. I don't care how you do it, but please cook some up.
A: Okay. See you soon.
Kaen put his phone away after that, and without putting Eri down, or using his hands, he picked himself up, and held Eri close, while comforting her when she tensed up when he moved.
Enhancing his speed with his Chakra, Kaen began making his way home, being sure to avoid the Hassaikai Manor. If he wanted to, he could have stayed behind and fought Chisaki.
Due to his mom being a top tier pro hero, he was given a special permit to use his Quirk in self-defense against anyone who attacked him, so long as they made the first move, but he knew he couldn't fight while protecting Eri from Chisaki at the same time.
When he got home, he carefully opened the door, as to not bump Eri's head, and kicked his shoes off just as Ashido poked her head out, with Kirishima following her example, and they both gasped.
"Kaen, is that your, secret love child or something?" Kirishima questioned.
"Yeah, right I totally fathered a six year old child at the age of nine." Kaen said with sarcasm in his voice.
Ashido and Kirishima were just looking at him in silence, before Ashido spoke up.
"With who your mom is, we don't know whether you're joking or not." She exclaimed, Kirishima nodding her head in agreement.
"I was being sarcastic. Of course I didn't have a kid." Kaen exclaimed. "Ashido is the soup ready?"
"Yeah, I just pulled it out of the microwave." Ashido said as Kaen shouldered his way through to the dining table where there was a small bowl of soup was sitting with a spoon, and some saltine crackers and glasses of orange juice and water.
"I gave your mom a call, and she's on her way back with some other heroes." Kirishima said. "She should be here in a couple minutes."
"Great." Kaen exclaimed sitting Eri down at the dining table, where she reluctantly let go of him. "Eri…" He waited until she was looking up at him. "These are my friends Ashido and Kirishima. They're going to look after you for a minute. I need to make a phone call in the other room. I'll be back in a second. Do you think you'll be okay?"
Eri nodded, but her eyes were still filled with fear, as Kaen pet her head softly and gently, before turning to look at Kirishima and Ashido.
"I'll explain everything when my mom and the others get here. For now I'm really needing to make a call… an' since Eri is here, could you please change the game?" Kaen asked.
"Yeah no problem." Ashido said moving to sit across from Eri, while Kirishima went to shut off the game, and put on a more child friendly one.
"I'll put on Sonic Heroes." Kirishima said.
"Don't worry Eri. Big Sis's Ashido and Kirishima will be here with you." Ashido smiled softly. "Why don't you eat up?"
Kaen left the room and went to the bathroom where he took in a deep breath, and glared at the mirror, revealing his red canine eyes again as his anger rose from being suppressed, as he had forced himself to remain calm, so he wouldn't scare Eri when holding her in his arms. After letting his anger out, he quickly pulled out his phone and dialed up the last number called on his phone.
"I was expecting your call a little later than this." His boss said, picking up the phone.
"Cut the crap. You told me to go out for a walk, because you knew I'd run into Eri, and rescue her." Kaen exclaimed, his voice sounding a little demonic, like it did when he wore his vigilante persona. "Did you know Chisaki was abusing her?"
"I had only recently found out about it myself. But yes, I did tell you to take a walk, because I knew you'd help Eri if she had asked for it." She said, sounding a little smug. "I must say, for someone who doesn't want to be in the hero course, you sure do have the heart of a hero."
Kaen sighed, and figured that's what this was about. His boss had always said, he should apply for the hero course instead of the support course, and he wasn't really one to blurt out his objections unless they were valid, and the fact his entire right arm now had metal bones instead of calcium, wasn't really valid, as it was better than new, and stronger to boot.
"I'll give it some thought, but I'm still not wanting to become a legitimate hero." He sighed, calming down. "I have to go, my mom is most likely back and she's gonna want an explanation."
With that Kaen hung up, and left the bathroom, just as the front door opened, with Midnight and a few police officers including Detective Tsukauchi, as well as a couple heroes, such as Mirko and Ryukyu, coming into the house.
'Great, dealing with Mirko and Tsukauchi twice in one night. It must be fate.' He mentally sighed. "Hey mom."
"Sweetheart I'm so glad you're safe." Midnight said hugging him when he was close enough to the door. "What happened, are you all right, did a villain attack you while you were out?"
"Mom stop I'm fine." Kaen said squirming out of her arms. "It's actually something completely different. Follow me."
Kaen lead the others into the living room, where Eri was sitting with Kirishima and Ashido, watching them play Sonic Heroes, before they all looked up, after pausing the game.
"Mom you remember Old Man Hassaikai and how he'd hire me to be a babysitter for his granddaughter Eri?" Kaen questioned as Eri hoped down from the couch and ran to him, grabbing his leg.
"Your last babysitting job from him was a couple years ago wasn't it?" Midnight asked. "They would always take you to the Hassaikai Manor, and paid you quite handsomely."
"It was a couple years ago, after Old Man Hassaikai got sick, and fell into a coma." Kaen exclaimed. "Since then, Kai Chisaki has been leading the Hassaikai, and tonight during my walk, I found out something disturbing about him."
Kaen sat down on the chair by the couch and brought Eri up on his lap, where they could all see her.
"This is Eri, Old Man Hassaikai's granddaughter. Given the bandages around her arms and legs, and the oversized shirt she's wearing, she's been abused by Chisaki ever since he took over." Kaen exclaimed, as Eri turned around and gripped his shirt tightly.
"I'll see if she has any other relatives but first we need to know what happened." Tsukauchi exclaimed.
"I was walking home from the convenience store, eating a candy stick I had purchased, and was thinking about why mom taught me some embarrassing tricks, when Eri bumped into me. I could see the fear in her eyes, and when I heard someone walking towards us coming from the same direction Eri ran from, I instinctively grabbed her and hid." Kaen explained. "When I saw it was Chisaki, I got a little angry, but I didn't act, I just wanted to keep Eri safe. Then I heard him say something about having plenty more experiments to put her through." Kaen exclaimed.
"Kaen sweetie calm down, your eyes transitioned." Midnight said putting a calming hand on his shoulder.
"Just tell me where that bastard's house is, and I'll kick his ass." Mirko said punching her own palm, to which Kaen covered Eri's ears as soon as she started speaking, knowing she would curse.
"It's not gonna be that simple Mirko." Tsukauchi exclaimed. "Kaen, did you fight with the criminal?"
"No, as soon as he was gone, I ran for a better hiding spot to wait it out a bit longer, and to calm Eri down. After that Ashido got in contact with me, and I returned home." Kaen explained.
"You did good sweetie. Now why don't we get Eri to a…"
Midnight was speaking as she tried pulling Eri off Kaen's lap, but stopped when she noticed the child's grip on her son was strong, and she had her arms tightly wrapped around Kaen, and that was saying something considering it looked like she was malnourished.
"Midnight, I don't think doing that is a good idea." Ryukyu said. "She seems to be quite attached to Kaen, and doesn't seem to want to leave his side."
"I think it be best if she stays here, with him just to be sure she doesn't have a panic attack, or cause any problems. Kaen seems to be the only person she trusts right now." Tsukauchi exclaimed.
"I guess that is all right." Midnight sighed, but smiled knowing her son had a way with kids. "Kaen I'll help you with taking care of her if you wish."
"Thanks mom." Kaen smiled.
"By the way, what are some of these tricks Midnight taught you?" Mirko asked.
"J-Cup, K-Cup, I-Cup, G-Cup, and E-Cup." Kaen said, point at Mirko, Midnight, Ryukyu, Ashido, and Kirishima in that order causing two of the three heroines to blush as they weren't expecting him to know their cup sizes. "I hate it, but mom taught me how to know a woman's cup size just from a single glance."
"Yet he doesn't take pride in it because he's not a perv." Ashido cheered, not at all embarrassed that he let out what her cup size is.
"Midnight." Mirko and Ryukyu said together looking at the older heroine.
"Hey, I just thought he should know that so when he has a girlfriend, and she asks him to go out and buy her some underwear, or he wants to get her a little sexy number, he wouldn't have to ask for her measurements." Midnight said.
"Don't you think the girlfriend would find it a little creepy he knew her sizes beforehand?" Ryukyu questioned.
"Not if she knew who his mother is." Midnight smirked.
"She's got us there." Mirko sighed. "Don't go blabbing my size to the world, okay kid?"
"My lips are sealed, only a total perv would do something like that." Kaen exclaimed.
"What's a perv?" Eri asked looking up at him.
"Someone who does inappropriate stuff and likes it." Kaen exclaimed before patting her on the head. "No more questions, you're too young."
"All right. We've gotten everything we need to start an investigation, we'll be in touch if anything else comes up." Tsukauchi said.
"I'm heading back to the agency, and I'm gonna fill out my report. I'll be back as soon as possible sweetie." Midnight said, kissing his forehead, before she left with all the police and the other two female heroes.
"All right, so first thing's first. Eri needs a bath, would either one of you be willing to bathe with her?" Kaen questioned looking to Ashido and Kirishima.
"I'll bathe with her." Ashido smiled, grabbing Kaen's wrist and dragging him off.
"Wait, why are you dragging me to?" Kaen questioned, Eri still in his arm.
"Duh, I want her to experience what it's like for a family to bathe together." Ashido smirked.
"A family bath, really?" Kaen questioned. "How is that going to work?"
"Isn't it obvious silly? You're the Papa, I'm the Mama, and Eri's our cute little daughter." Ashido smirked.
"Something's telling me you're wanting this to be more than just make believe." Kaen exclaimed before Ashido dragged the both of them into the bathroom. "Ashido is this really necessary? I mean are you really even comfortable with me seeing you naked?"
"You know my cup size, the only way it would get any more personal is if you proposed to me." Ashido said, throwing off her shirt, revealing she was going braless.
"I'm gonna get Eri a change of clothes." Kaen said in a panic, leaving before she could strip anymore.
"Grab me my bag to will you? I wanna change into something else after the bath." Ashido exclaimed.
"Don't you have any decency or shame?" Kaen questioned stopping in the hall.
"Do you know how many times I became naked in public growing up because I didn't have good control of my Quirk yet?" Ashido questioned. "I've been desensitized to the shame of my body being exposed for a while now."
"Fine, Kirishima can you grab her bag for her, while I get Eri something to wear?" Kaen inquired.
"Way ahead of you." Kirishima said walking down the hall, to give Ashido her bag. "Girl you seriously need to learn moderation when it comes to flirting."
"I-I'm not flirting." Ashido said, grabbing her bag and closing the door. "Thanks for my bag."
"Sure you're not." Kirishima sighed, shaking her head and heading back for the living room. "I wonder if it's too late to order take out." She questioned.
~An Hour Later~
"That wasn't so bad, now was it?" Ashido questioned sitting on the couch with a smirk, wearing a purple bikini top and tight fitting yoga shorts.
"I'm starting to question whether or not I was invited to this sleepover, just for the soul purpose of preventing Ashido from trying to jump Kaen's bones." Kirishima sighed playing Sonic Heroes again.
"Don't you think that outfit is a little revealing for you?" Kaen questioned, now dressed in basketball shorts, and a white wife beater.
"How I dress is my right buddy-boy." Ashido said, crossing her arms.
"Well, whatever." Kaen sighed, looking down at his lap to see Eri resting against his chest, and nodding off. "Looks like someone is a little sleepy."
"Looks like it." Ashido smiled. "She did seem to relax quite a bit in the tub, she even swam around a bit. But she didn't smile."
"We'll talk more on that tomorrow, I'm going to go put her to bed in the guest bedroom." Kaen sighed. "I know we haven't hung out much this sleepover, and it was kinda ruined thanks to the whole thing with Chisaki, but we should probably get to bed to."
"Hey don't sweat it. If you hadn't gone out for your walk, and ran into Eri, who knows that that Chisaki guy would have done to her?" Kirishima smiled. "You've really got the heart of a hero."
Kaen sighed, and thought on that, as he went upstairs to the guest bedroom beside his, and laid Eri down in the bed, and tucked her in, brushing some hair out of her face, with a soft smile, before leaving the room, with the door cracked open, and went to his room, opening the door to find Ashido sitting cross legged on his bed.
"What are you doing in here?" He questioned, keeping his cool, but was completely nervous about what she might find under his bed.
"What else? I'm here to fall asleep." Ashido smirked. "You did promise that the next time we had a sleepover at your place, I could sleep in your bed with you."
"I did promise that, didn't I?" Kaen questioned with a sigh. Though he was relieved she didn't suspect him of being Kurama, he was a little annoyed that she remembered that promise he made six months ago. "All right, but try to do anything to me in my sleep, and I'll make sure the next time we have a sleepover at my place, you're sleeping in the backyard."
"Oh don't worry." Ashido smiled, lying down on the bed, and moving to the left side.
'I have a feeling mom upgraded my bed to a Queen Size for this very reason.' Kaen groaned. It's not like he didn't have the space in his bedroom for the bed, he just couldn't figure out why Midnight had placed it directly across from his door, lengthwise.
Kaen removed his shirt, as it was more comfortable for him to sleep without it, and laid down on top of the covers on the other side of the bed, with Ashido smiling brightly with a blush as she looked at his well sculpted body.
'Dear God, his body is perfect, it's the perfect mix of muscle mass and being well-toned.' Ashido thought, putting a hand over her nose, to avoid him seeing the slight nosebleed she had.
"Tissue?" Kaen questioned, handing her a small pack of them.
Damnit.
"Thanks." Ashido said taking the pack.
"Hey Ashido." Kaen said, resting his hands behind his head.
"Yeah? What's up?" Ashido asked, throwing away the used, bloody tissue.
"Let me ask you something." Kaen said. "Do you honestly, and I mean swear on your family's name honesty, think I could make a good hero?"
Ashido looked at him, wonder filling her eyes, as she looked at the far off look in his gaze at the ceiling, realizing he was being totally serious in asking that question.
"If I'm being honest, I think you would be the next #1Hero. You've got a big heart, good instincts, reflexes, and… everyone you meet, becomes happier when you smile, you just brighten their day." Ashido smiled, turning onto her side to face him.
"Oh for crying out loud would you two just bone already?" Kirishima's voice carried over from the room she was sleeping in.
"Shut up. We're not like that." Kaen replied, his face flushed red, matching his hair color.
"She's just mad because she doesn't have a man yet." Ashido giggled. 'That, and she knows I already called dibs on you.'
"Well, we should probably get some sleep." Kaen sighed. "Night Ashido."
"How many times do I have to tell you to call me Mina?" She smiled closing her eyes. "Night Kaen."
Kaen gave off a small smirk, before his phone went off on his nightstand. He opened it realizing he got a text from his boss.
S.U: Shie Hassaikai has been dealt with, and all their assets have been wired to your account, while the transaction is completely untraceable.
'Thanks boss.' Kaen mentally smiled putting his phone down and getting comfortable in bed. 'I should probably tell her, I took all the big bills from that drug ring. Nah, the less she knows the better, besides she did say that I was free to take any money I find during my jobs.'
As the duo fell asleep, neither of them were aware of the figure that came into the room, closing the door softly, and pulled a blanket over top of them.
~Next Morning~
"Heh, well would you look at that? They really look like a family." Kirishima said, standing in Kaen's doorway. She originally came to wake both him and Ashido up for the breakfast Midnight had cooked, but stopped and smirked when she saw them sleeping together, all three of them.
There lying in the bed, were Kaen sleeping on his left side with one of his arms under his pillow, and Ashido sleeping on her right side, her head nestled in the crook of his shoulder and neck, her right arm curled around his torso in a loose half hug, and between them, was Eri facing Kaen, sleeping soundly with her head on the pillow, and a blanket over the three of them, no doubt Eri's doing, though due to the blanket being not so big, Kaen and Ashido scooted closer together in their sleep, meeting in the middle, and comfortably cradling Eri between both their bodies.
"Oh Midnight is going to love this." Kirishima smiled, taking a picture of the sleeping duo with her phone.
