Sorry for the delay, I got sick and felt miserable (It was just a cold but still) then this whole Corona virus thing came up, is not fun times.
Percy was moving through the mob of people in the large mansion. Loud music blasted from the DJ's stand up on the raised platform to his left, there was a large crowd in front, dancing in whichever way they wanted. There was a large line waiting on their turn to get to the snack table, filled with many different colorful foods, and drinks.
And even though there was no alcohol being served yet by the way people were walking and talking he was sure someone had spiked the punch. Which was a shame because he heard it was killer, but he was on the job.
Looking around he was able to identify many of the different people there. From politicians to actresses and actors. He wondered how many people would kill to be in his position, surrounded by rich people and influencers. It was possible he even saw Tony Stark, a rich billionaire who had made himself a flying suit of armor.
Suddenly he knocked into a red haired woman, "Oof." He managed to catch himself before he fell, so did the woman. It certainly knocked the wind out of the both of them though.
"Sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." He managed to wheeze out. The woman decided to take a few seconds before speaking, composing herself. Her dress shifted a wrinkle formed where she was hiding a gun. Or a very short knife, but he was certain it was a gun. Yes he could safely assume she was an agent. Maybe CIA, maybe SHIELD, maybe a different country altogether, but she was definitely an agent.
"It's alright."
That meant the man she was with was probably also and agent.
He knew their were gonna be other agents, it was a party full of millionaires and possibly billionaires, but confirming it made the situation feel much more tense. As he waded through the outside of the crowd, he made his way to the target, a man willing to supply Olympus guns for a considerable amount of cash.
He walked up the luxurious glass and marble stairs that screamed 'I have to much money' and made his way to the sitting area. It wasn't as if he was poor, money meant nothing to the Olympians, and they paid like it.
Hell, he probably has over ten million dollars scattered around the world. All in little lockers or holes he dug underground. And of course accompanied by almost too many firearms. But come on, a glass staircase? The dirt would be so visible.
The sitting area was empty, a change from the dance floor below. The tables had white silk tablecloths and the chairs were made of a red fabric and wood.
"Hey Superman." A friendly nickname to most, but a code to the two of them. Signifying he was the negotiator.
He exchanged a special handshake to make it appear as if they were friends, then he popped a quick joke about the party. During the joke he waved his hand in the direction of the party and took a peek at red haired lady and the man she was with, who were currently eyeing his 'client'.
"Don't look now, but I'm almost certain there are two agents of a different faction watching you, the red haired lady and the man she's with." He whispered in the man's ear, he gave a slight nod.
He didn't look over to them until around five minutes later when he and Percy were discussing the statistics of the arms deal using a code. Making it sound like they were talking about planning a trip to a local bowling alley instead. Finally Percy stood up, and patted him on the back. "Good time catching up with you man, maybe next time Haiti?" He said the code word for Olympus.
"Yes Haiti." The rich man smiled and Percy stayed a bit longer in the party before leaving, another successful mission. He even got a secondary objective done, get the recipe for the punch. Alcohol free, or course.

Bang bang bang CRACK!
The poorly made wooden door flew inwards and Percy rushed in, his rifle sweeping over the large room. "Get down" He shouted at the crowd of people inside in one of the many South American languages and silently thanked Athena for her blessing, being able to speak any language was useful.
One man dressed considerably better than the other people in the room stood up and tried to shoot Percy with his own gun, but Percy was faster, sending a short burst of bullets into the man. He fell to the ground blood leaking out of his body and staining his clothes, and the other people in the room cheered. Obviously they didn't like the man.
He scrunched his nose as he smelled the repugnant odor of narcotics, he should've brought a gas mask, he was raiding a drug manufacturing plant for heaven's sake!
He could curse his own stupidity later, he had to get these people out of here out of here before reinforcements arrived.
He led them out of the building through the twisting halls filled with the bodies of the drug cartel that used to inhabit them. Their blood staining the dirt floor of the poorly made compound. They arrived outside and he went out a large metal gate that seemed to be bent open. Out of the gate they followed an asphalt road for about a dozen meters before they turned onto a nondescript path that led into the jungle.
Percy had to hack away at the vines and leaves that grew over the trail with a machete to accommodate for the train he was leading. The people he freed were getting more and more excited the farther away they got. This was probably the first time they have been out of that place for years.
Down the path was a small clearing that seemed to be burned away, judging by the smell, napalm was used. In the clearing several large helicopters with two sets of blades were sitting ready to pick up the people. They might have been nervous they just traded in evil for another, but he explained the situation to them in each of their native languages.
Finally he contacted HQ and informed them all the non combatants were out, "The base is cleared, you can destroy her."
Soon after he spoke those words seven black helicopters rose above the jungle's trees. Unlike the previous ones meant for transport these were most definitely made for fighting with missiles on the sides and a large rotating machine gun under the cockpit. Approaching the base they fired dozens of missiles, obliterating the compound. After the initial wave of missile the sprayed the area with some machine gun fire. Where there was once a base was now just a large crater.
He smiled as he watched the drug cartel's compound burn, even if it wasn't for the most just reason, it was still a good deed.
It was part of the Population Project, agents would rescue people with nothing else and bring them to the nation of Olympus, where they will become citizens. Kind of like Artemis' Hunt. Which wasn't a bad thing, Olympus was a 'perfect' place with perfect weather, and small rainstorms maybe once a week. A paradise.
But the fact they were only rescued because Olympus needed more citizens left a sour taste in his mouth. He was sure that it it wasn't for the Population Project, these people would be been left to rot. These poor people deserved better, being trafficked thousands of miles from their home, at least it was something.
He decided he would find a way to stop it, whether it meant destroying every trafficking ring or something else he wasn't so sure though. Before he could think more into it his radio crackled as a voice came over it.
"Spartan 0 should we wait for you?"
"Naw, I'll probably swim, it could be a bit awkward in there after I rescued all of them." He could hear some grumbling on the other end.
"It was a team effort." Percy smiled, "Whatever you say."
He could hear some more banter from some of the other pilots, he arrived at the edge of the jungle into a rocky beach. "Alright I'm heading off, see you at Olympus."
A series of 'See you at Olympus' came from his radio before he turned it off and dived into the ocean. Going speeds inhumanly fast just under the surface, another success.
Not an amazing chapter, but pretty decent, sorry if some of it was confusing I had trouble with parts of it. The next chapter is going to address the Romans which is pretty cool, I've got big plans for it. Another thing that took me a while was deciding if I wanted a Percy/Zoë of a Percy/Reyna, I've got a really creative way to bring Zoë in never seen before, but Percy/Reyna would be so easy to set up here especially in the next chap. But I have decided on Percy and Zoë.
Bye
