[Chapter Two - A Royal Fewd]

In the town of Hulbury, May along with Dawn and Serena were hanging out in the Cafe of the Pokémon Center as they laughed and giggled at the funniest things Ash has done, unaware said the boy sneezed and knew someone was talking about him. The Pokemon Centers had a store that was also a cafe, a Rotomi that can be used to make long distance calls and to swap Pokémon as well as able to send Pokémon on jobs to earn money. Soon enough a man and a deli bird entered and said: "Excuse me is there a May Maple, Dawn Berlitz and a Serena Yvonne, heee?"

All three girls raised their hands and said: "Over here."

The male man and Delibird walked over and he banded them each a gold letter with the royal insignia on it and pulled out a rotom tablet and said: "Sign here please."

All three signed the rotom and the mailman and Pokémon left the center. The girls opened the envelopes and two letters were pulled out, one they recognized the handwriting of Ash as they opened it and the letters said: "Dear May/Dawn/Serena, It has been a while since we last talked. The reason why I am writing is because I want you to come visit me on the night of the Royal Ball in the Galar Region. I had the mail sent via delibird Express, I hope that it reaches you in time as for your wondering why this letter was in the mail with the invitation, let's just say that it will be a grand surprise, I hope you will come. Sincerely, Ash Ketchum. P.S. in the invitation letter is some money for you girls to buy a really expensive dress, believe me I just checked my account and I'm very wealthy."

All three girls' eyes widened and opened the other letter which was a royal invitation with the King's stamp of approval for them to attend and that they may bring one Pokémon to the ball. Then they say five-hundred thousand dollars and they girls looked at one another before bolting to the nearest dress tailor. Meanwhile in Motostoke, the Aether Foundation family was resting in a hotel lobby as a mail man handed them a set of letters and invitations saying the same thing to them that Ash wanted to meet them at the Ball this weekend. Lillie looked excited as her cheeks blushed and the image of her and Ash dancing made her squeal and Lusamine looked intrigued and Gladion had a tick mark above his brow. Soon enough the evening of the ball had arrived as flowing through the central street of Avalon was carriages being pulled by Galar Rapidash as May, Lillie, Dawn and Serena looked at the street lights lighting the path as they felt like princesses going to see a prince, in this case they are. Many people had gathered in the ballroom, many nobles, high-ranking business officials, Champions, Elite Fours and even a few people the girls recognized from their travels, Serena even spotted Bonnie and Clemont.

Lillie spotted Hala, Hau, Olivia, Hapu and the three girls she met sometime ago. Smiling she looked about for Ash as did Serena, May and Dawn but they couldn't see him. Trumpets and horns blared as Jameson said from a balcony: "Announcing his royal majesty and King of our region, Arthur Maxus Pendragon."

Everyone watched as several maids brought down a sickly aged man garbed in royal king robes with armor on his shoulders, chest, arms and legs as he coughed before saying: "Thank you all for attending on this momentous occasion, as many know my damage caused by the mysterious plague is unrecoverable, I only had one wish, to see my beloved daughter one last time and my grandson for the first time. And I am pleased they have come to see me in my final days, for tonight she will be crowned the new king and my grandson shall be named the crown prince."

Few nobles clapped and the King raised his hand and slowly motioned it down for everyone to become quiet as he then said: "I now present everyone, my lost daughter Delia Ketchum-Pendragon."

Coming down the stairs garbed in a beautiful white with a frilly waist Cape that glowed and was shoulder less with long white gloves as she wore a gold circlet around her head. Everyone who personally knew Ash was completely surprised by this, his mother was the new queen and that would make him, the sheer thought blew their minds. Delia smiled as nobles clapped and awe at her beauty she smiled and waved to everyone and said: "Thank you everyone, my only regret is not being here soon to stop what has happened to my father for after my mother died I blamed my father for showing no emotion for her parting, but when I met my son's father he knew my heritage and just saw me as another person. The day we had our baby boy we knew he was special, but my husband had to leave as something dangerous was after the both of us, so he alluded to it while I raised my son in safety. My son accomplished many fears and despite his failures he bounces back for a new challenge, now please welcome my son, Ash Pendragon-Ketchum."

The four girls all blushed seeing Ash dressed as a Prince as Pikachu was beside him wearing a circlet and a vest as noth did a gentleman's bow and said: "Greetings everyone, as today is a momentous day, my grandfather is retiring, but I assure everyone the fate of the region, it's people and pokemon are in good hands. Let us not mourn the end of a great king, but let him rejoice for the greatness he has brought to this great region and that he has brought in another era for this great region."

Everyone from the galar region clapped and cheered as his friends clapped along as well. Pikachu smiled and tugged on his trainer's leg and pointed out the crowd spotting everyone he wanted to come which made him smile.

Once to the thrones the coronation begun as the once king removed Delia's frown and placed a crown that resembled a Queen's tiara made of platinum with blue diamonds placed in the crown as Ash received a normal gold crown that resembled the crown from Fable three as the practice one he had with us suit was used so he could get use to wearing it. Everyone cheered for the duo, soon enough people began to dance or feast upon the many delicacies from the row of tables. Ash joined among the crowds and was speaking with Mr. Goodshow, Lance, Steven, Diantha and Cynthia. Lance smirked and said: "A prince and a champion, a first time for everything."

Ash chuckled and said: "Well it still a surprise to me Lance, I had hoped to invite my entire class from Principal Oak's school but they all have things they want to accomplish and I don't want to ruin it for them."

Steven smiled and said: "Same old Ash, still as selfless to this day."

Ash looked sheepish and Cynthia then said: "Still to think you are a Prince, I just remember only yesterday you and Paul constantly butting heads about Pokémon."

Ash chuckled and said: "Speaking of, how is Paul?"

Steven chuckle and said: "He is taking the Hoenn Battle Frontier and beat the Hoenn conference two years ago, before Max…" everyone went silent, the Champions all new what happened and Lance looked at Steven in a disappointed look as Ash said: "It's fine, what matters is the here and now."

Diantha smiles and says: "How mature of you Ash, seems you've matured during your time in the Alola region."

Ash smiled and said: "Honestly after the Magnolia Conference I kinda had nowhere to turn to, everyone else had ambitions and dreams and when I finally won, I felt lost. I guess my failures always pushed me into a new direction."

Mr. Goodshow nodded and said: "Don't worry my boy, while you have fallen and gotten right back up a new door always opens within time and do not worry about them, they are under watchful eye."

Ash nodded and thanked the champions as he went to mingle with everyone else, he smiled seeing Clemont forced to dance with Allie and saw Bonnie smiling and sat beside her saying: "Poor Clemont, he seems to be a wreck."

Bonnie smiled seeing Ash and gave him a brief hug saying: "Don't worry about my brother Ash, he and Allie are actually dating, she came to the gym and dragged him off somewhere and demanded they go on a date and so far he has been enjoying them."

Ash looked surprised at her and saw Clemont was wearing a yellow tux and dancing as Bonnie was eating a slice of cake and he said: ''You talked to Serena?"

Nodding her head she said: "She came in second at the Grand Festival and that she is over there talking with some friends that know you."

Ash chuckled and saw Pikachu with Chespin, Braixen, Hariama, Lycanroc, Mudsdale, Buneary, Blaziken, Dedenne, Snowy, Clefable, Raboot, Yamper and Slvally. Buneary acted shyly around Pikachu and sent heated glares to Braixen and Snowy. Chuckling he said: "Good to see you Bonnie, don't eat too much sweets, okay?"

She nodded and Ash walked off and found Princess Ilene with her date. Surprisingly it was Riley chatting with Princess Salvia, Sara, Kimi, King Natural, Prince Raleigh, and Duck Alberto. Ash smiled and said: "Good evening everyone, I hope the festivities are to your liking."

The nobles turned and Queen Ilene said: "Oh yes they are, so Ash does this mean there is more to your family than just being a descendant to Sir Aaron?"

Nodding his head Riley said: "Indeed, Ash although we may be distant cousins your aura is far closest if not the same aura as Sir Aarons."

Ash nodded again and said: "I know, Mr. Merlin is teaching me the basics and says that I accidentally leaked my aura into my Z-moves and my Bond Phenomenon when I had Greninja with me."

Sara giggled and said: "Still seems that our hero would be that of royal blood which is unheard, it's usually royals who call upon the hero, not a royal hero."

The others nodded and Ash looked sheepish and said: "Well I'm a wild card, and besides I like to do things myself."

N. chuckled at Ash and said: "Sk Ash, when will you ascend the throne?"

Ash pondered and said: "Honestly my family is different in royal matters, there is a test to prove your worth to take the throne, my mom took it and passed before she left the region, each test is different and unique to the person."

Kimi chuckled and said: "By the way Ash, I noticed you wear that band around your wrist, what is it?"

Raising his Z-power ring he said: "It's a Z-power ring, allows me to perform z-moves which combines the bond of trainer and Pokémonon and empowers the Pokémon attacks into Z-moves, the difference with the power ring J can do Z-moves with Z-crystals for legendary Pokémon such as Lunala and Sogalelo."

Rayleigh looked intrigued and said: "Amazing, how do you obtain one?"

Ash smiled and told them about the Alola region and the trials as well as traditions. Riley chuckled and said: "You are extremely lucky to meet every legendary and mythical Pokémon known."

Ash laughed lightly and said: "Indeed, but knowing my track record I'll have to save the world again soon enough."

Alberto raised a brow and asked: "What makes you say that?"

Adh then pointed out all the major global disasters that happened and how a mythical or legend was involved and how he was around to stop it. After bidding the royals a good evening Rkly and Kimi said they had to give him a gift for helping them out. Ash found the Kahunas with Lusamine, Hau and Gladion picking out food as he joined them and said: "Hey guys, so how's the ball."

Lusamine garbed in dark blue and white dress smiled and said: "Wonderful Ash, but how did you know we were here."

Sitting down Ash replied: "Jameson, he checked the records of the region and saw your ship docked two weeks ago and have been looking for Mohn all this time, so good luck."

Gladion shook his head and said: "We are close though I can feel it, Zoroark has been getting fidgety lately so that means we are close."

Hau then said: "I hope he is alright, I mean my Dad left us and hasn't even bothered to make contact, what about you Ash, what happened to your Dad?"

Ash pondered and said: "I was two when he left, I remembered Dad was packing and he had his normal Rapidasg outside and his Lucario, helping him pack as mom tried to have him stay and that's all I can recall about the last I saw him.."

Hala frowned and said: "Just as she said, your family was being targeted."

Ash sighed and said: "Mom knows he'll return within time, I had seen a letter from random locations sent to her and mom had a book beside her as she wrote on a piece of paper looks like she was deciphering something."

Hapu pondered and said: "Sounds like your Pa is in some deep water, any clue why?"

Ash shrugged his shoulders and sajd: "Knowing how Mom said I can get in similar trouble as Dad, she meant Team Rocket wants him to pay…" everyone's frown upon the mention of the organization.

Lusamine saw he was already finished and yet not once showed scarfing of his food which also surprised everybody else. Ash bid everyone a good evening as he had to continue acting like a prince and hoped to talk to the Kahuna's upon returning to the Alola Region for the next conference and decide he'll handle who enters and partakes in the trials with Professor Kukui. Finding the girls as they chatted he smiled and said: "Glad you all could come."

Lillie wore a snow themed ball gown, Serena a customized version of the dress she danced in at the Master Class, Dawn wore a similar outfit but had a darker shade of blue when she became a princess for a day and May wore a more fitting dress when they discovered Ash was an aura user. Serena smiled and said: "So Ash, I understand you just arrived at the Galar region, what were you doing before that?"

Ash chuckled taking a seat and said: "Honestly research work for the Sakuragi Institute helping to find that weather condition and in the spheres of the planet as well as seismic activity and ocean currents have effects on sightings of special Pokémon."

May was interested and said: "Still being studious, Lillie said you were Salutatorian in Pokémon school, funny how you never showed that much smarts before."

Ash gave a playful glare before looking even more sheepish and slightly embarrassed, but he stopped and said: "Well Alola is a peaceful environment, plus I didn't have a league time limit or even a team rocket constantly bothering me."

Dawn then asked: "So what's it like being champion? I've heard you faced Tapu Koko in the post match against the Masked Royal."

Ash smiled and said: "Good, when I have to prepare for the conference I have to decide on the Elite Four as well as what can count as qualifications as entering, I'm thinking you have to take trials before challenging the island kahuna."

The girls looked intrigued as they further chatted that Dawn had won the Kanto grand festival and May won the Sinnoh grand festival as Serena had met Dawn and May in the Hoenn grand festival as they were spectators and hit it off. He then asked who she lost to and she said it was Drew who was hitting on her and Dawn and even tried to kiss them. The girls never noticed his brow violently twitching violently, but he was proud of the girls for growing and told Serena to learn from her mistakes and use them to pathe a path of victory. By the end of the night Ash danced with the four girls, each giving them a moment to remember and Serena enjoyed her's the most. But before he could ask Lillue to dance he heard a prideful pair of voices yell with angst: "This is an outrage uncle!"

The noise caused everyone to turn to see the twins of Arthur, Sordward and Shieldbert and Delia's younger brothers. Arthur looked at his twenty year old son's and said: "What is there to say my sons, you barely passed and while you had an equal rite to the throne, your sister was my choice alone."

Sordward growled as Doublade was beside him and he said: "Father it's best reconsidered, our sister had vanished for fourteen years and wanted nothing to do with the throne, it is best if we take the throne."

Arthur frowned and said: "You both lack humility and passion, you both may be strong mentally and physically but you like a true heart of a royal."

Sordward growled as Shielbert said: "What heart, a king needs to be strict and firm, a queen will just ruin this nation."

Ash growled and the pressure grew intense and Asb came walking over saying: "You better speak your words carefully about my mother uncle, I am not in a forgiving mindset as of late."

Beside Shielbert was a Klang as the uncles stared at the Prince with utter hatred and Asg eyes showed no wavering. The four girls blushed and Ash said: "A compromise is in order, a tag battle between my mother and me, we each use two Pokémon with no substitutions unless it is a move effect, if you win grandfather will reevaluate your test and give you a shot, but if we win you never ever bother about this again, do we have an accord."

Ash held out his hand and Sordward looked at his brother and he nodded and Delia nodded to Ash as the sword themed brother said: "We have an accord."

Once outside the training field lights lit up the field and Ash was adjusting his Z-power ring. Before he exited the room Rayleigh and Kimi gave Ash his own keystone that was on a pendant that was the sun being pinched by the crescent moon as the keystone was in the heart of the sun and then a mega stone that was a Gengarnite. Ash called the ghost over to give Gengaratthe mega stone as it was in a skull pendant.

So far he planned to use Pikachu and Charizard after calling Sakuragi to send him over. As for his mother, he had no clue of what Pokémon she would be using for this battle. Everyone was excited as the family end stood on opposite sides of one another Jameson said the agreement rules and that he would be monitoring the match as he said: "Trainers please send out your Pokémon."

All four cried out: "Golisopod/Bisharp/Mimikyu/Pikachu, I choose you!."

May so thr Pikachu looked alike and saw it was a unique color and raised her orange Rotom phone as it said: "Mimikyu, the Disguise Pokemon. A Ghost and Fairy type. It wears a ragged head cover to look like a Pikachu, but little is known about this Pokémon. It's said that a scholar who once tried to look inside met his end."

The three girls shivered as Dawn aimed her pink phone at the giant insect as the phone said: "Golisopod, the Hard Scale Pokémon. A Bug and Water type. The shell on its body is as hard as a diamond. Its most powerful weapons are its claws, which it can extend and retract at will."

[Start Playing - The Response]

Jameson then yelled: "Let the battle begin."

Sordward yelled: "Golisopod, First Impression on that rodent."

Shielbert yelled: "Bisharp, hit that faker with Night Slash."

Ash smirked and yelled: "Quick Attack!"

As the two brothers Pokémon moved in on the duo Pikachu eyes gained a twinkle and inburst of a quick attack that was even faster and powerful hitting Golisopod dead on sending him back toward were he stood, soon many Rotom phones went off saying: "Pikachu has learned Extreme Speed."

Ash's eyes widened before smirking and he bounced on the souls of his feet and smirked as he said: "Seems Pikachu gained a power-up, alright, let's go Extreme Speed."

Pikachu took off and as the night slash hit the shiny Mimikyu its head went slanted and Shielbert growled and said: "Damn, its ability, night slash again!"

Delia smirked and Mimimyu vanished, surprising everyone and appearing behind Bisharp, as the swords turned around as a blast of ghost energy sent it straight to the ground. Shielbert growled and said: "Phantom Force, Bisharp Iron Head!"

Before Mimikyu could react Bisharp slammed the back of its head into Mimikyu knocking it back and he got up seeing Pikachu upon Golisopod and slammed into pushing it back. Bisharp was ordered to use Stonedge and as it slammed its hand into the ground a pillar of stone burst from under Pikachu sending it upward and Golisopod slammed a condensed

force of water from its fist into Pikachu sending him flying. Mimikuu was upon the duo and slammed the both with Wood Hammer knocking them back. The shiny Mkmikyu landed and Delia said: "Mimi use Drain Punch!"

Two claws emerged from under Mimikyu and grasped the ground, Mimikyu then flung itself at Bisharp as the right clawed turned into a fist glowing white and embedded itself into the steel type. Green energy surrounded the two Pokémon as Bisharps transferred to Mimi. Soon Bisharp dropped to the ground with swirls in its eyes and Jameson said: "Bisharp is unable to battle, Lord Shielbert send out your next Pokémon."

Shielbert looked displeased and Golisopod upright himself before it returned to its Pokeball as Doublade emerged and for Sordward and Klang emerged for the Shielbert. Ash and Delia saw the two steel types float and Shielbert yelled: "Klang, shift gear!"

Soon the gear Pokémon was spinning faster and Sordward yelled: "Doublade, Iron Head."

The pair of swords slammed into Mimi so hard she was flung and then Klang came in with Gear Grind, grinding into the doll Pokémon making it cry out. As it dropped, defeated. Ash growled and Pikachu flung an Electro Web, but Doublade cut it in fours with Sacred Sword and Klang came in with a wild charge knocking Pikachu out of the air and Dounlade appeared and did a night slash and saved sword combo sending Pikachu into Ash knocking him.over as his mother and girls yelled: "Ash!"

Ash laid there and got up holding Pikachu whose arm was dislocated and his face formed into a snarl and he said: "He was right, you hold no compassion or humility, all throughout this battle I saw your attacks are aimed to kill or cripple."

Everyone's eyes widened as Ash removed his jacket and wrapped his partner in it, his aura formed around him as he gripped a new Pokéball. Soon a jolt of emotions coursed through him as he looked around and smirked locking eyes with a ninja silhouette and he looked at Charizard and felt his first fire type agreeing with him. Pocketing the ball Jameson said: "Please choose your next Pokémon."

Ash took in a deep breath and yelled: "Let's go Greninja!"

Before anyone could speak a torrent of water slammed before Ash and Delia forming a water cyclone and as it burst it revealed a Greninja with features similar to Ash and had a large water shuriken on it's back. Everyone looked surprised by this as Sordward grunted in annoyance and said: "Doesn't matter, you will fall, come sis, send out your last Pokémon."

Ash raised his z-ring and swapped the Pikashunium with another Z-crystal, it was a Waterium Z. Smirking as he remembered before leaving the Alola region last time Tapu Fini gave him the Waterium Z before he departed as if she knew he would need it. Ash smirked as his mother sent out a black and red Charizard as it roared Ash smirked and Delia raised her arm showing an armband making the brothers step back in fear and Ash looked intrigued. The arm band was white with a black curved rectangle shape with a small pink pokeball insignia in the center as the bottom line was blue and the top red as she said: "It's Gigantamax time!"

Holding out her Charizard's Cherish ball purple beams burst from the wrist and hit the ball as she raised it a beam of blue, indigo, real, sky blue and baby blue hit the charizard recalling it and soon the pokeball began to grow to the size of a large tire. She tossed it up and Charizard emerged but grew in size of a skyscraper. Charizard's mouth seemed to be molten in flames with his new white underbelly that has scales designed as flames on its torso with most of its body covered in black scales as its wings are made of pure fire. Ash's eyes had stars and shouted: "That's so cool, okay Mom let's line them up and end this."

Delia smirked and called out: "Zera, use G-Max Wildfire!"

The Charizard roared as it's flame wings separated from its body and the wings formed a dragon made of fire and impacted the two steel types and swirled around the field as the flames licked the air. Delia smiled and said: "Ash, be a dear and get them some water, I believe they are thirsty."

Ash smirked and he said as he and Greninja crossed their arms: "Let's go partner…" holding the x-formation before him and separating their arms they made a wave motion with them and said: "Our bonds guide us like flow of water as they all lead to the ocean that connects all life. Feel the force of our bond that connects us, Hydro Vortex."

A wave burst from under Greninja as it swallowed the two steel types, but the water soon became a whirlpool. Greninja took off and zipped around impacting the steel types till the vortex exploded and Greninja flipped to land on the ground. Doublade and Klang hit the ground hard, both had swirls in their eyes. The brothers eyes widened as Golisopod was all they had left, but when Zera wildfire effect activated the flames burned the insect and made it stagger, but that didn't last as Ash-Greninja charged and slashed the insect with night slash defeating it. Jameson smiled and said: "Golisopod is unable to battle as is the other Pokémon, the victor is Queen Delia and Prince Ash."

[Song End]

Everyone cheered as the brothers were surprised, Delia was out of the battle game for years, and yet they lost to her and her son. Sordward looked up and said as he and his brother left: "This isn't over."

Ash frowned as his uncles left and everyone congratulated the duo and commented on how well they fought. By the end of the night Ash was resting in the bath of his room, he had invited his friends to stay the night. Come morning Ash's new life in Galar would begin as many friends are returning and many threats are on the horizon, buy one thing matters, he is going to be ready for them. Meanwhile somewhere on a mountain peak a mysterious trainer few know him by his childhood nickname, Red was staring off into space. Beside him was a Pikachu, Marowak, Butterfree, Lapras, Charizard and Snorlax, he looked up as a red scarf covered his face as he looked out from the top of a mountain to see the horizon of clouds as if it was a white sea. Looking up he saw bursting from the clouds as Ho-oh as the mysterious figure smiled when he pulled down his scarf and said: "So it's time then."

Recalling most of his Pokémon, he mounted Charizard and flew off where he was needed.
