Disclaimer: I don;t own Milo Murphy's Law, just waiting for season 3 to happen
"Hi, Bradley," Milo said, ignoring the comment that was directed toward him.
"Milo," he mumbled, sitting at a desk. "Great, everyone knows that with Milo here we'll be doing five times the amount of work! God knows how much paint we're gonna have to clean up off of the floor and how many easiles will end up destroyed!" His eyes grew wide and more and more students crowded into the tiny room. "HOW many people signed up for this?!"
Amanda stood up as soon as everyone was seated. "All right, everyone. We're all here to agree to make the decorations and banner for the School's Spring Festival. Does anyone have any ideas for the banner?"
Lydia spoke up, "I think we should make it look like a tropical garden, all kinds of exotic flowers and clouds!"
Jodi spoke up, "How about we make it look like a beach?"
Bradley scoffed. "A Beach?! What does a beach have to do with the Spring Festival?!"
Zack turned around. "Will you let her finish?" he snapped.
"Beaches represent warm weather and the Spring Festival is a celebration of nice warm weather."
"That sounds pretty nice, Joni," Milo said.
"But beaches have to do with summer and not spring," Bradley said. "The tropical flowers idea is a lot better."
"Well, this is a Spring Festival, and we are gonna have a pretty big banner." Milo said. "I think we could combine both. Like tropical flowers on a beach?"
"Oh you haven;t heard all the ideas yet, Milo. Just be quiet until everyone;s had their turn!" Bradley said.
Zack turned around again. "We could finish a lot quicker if YOU'D stop interrupting!"
"Well, what idea do you have?!" Bradley snapped.
"I don;t really have any yet," Zack admitted.
"Well, I think we should have the banner have our school on it. After all, it's our school's festival, and it should have a picture of the school along with the school's name on it with 'Welcome To Our Festival.' on it.
"That would have to be a pretty big banner," Mort said.
"Well, we're gonna work with one, won;t we?" Bradley asked.
"Maybe we can have the saying 'Welcome To Our Festival' over the picture of the beach and flowers?" Milo said.
"We can;t have all of that!"
"Why not?" Zack said.
"We can;t combine all of our ideas, the banner isn;t that big!" Bradley pointed out.
"You haven;t even heard everyone else's ideas yet!" Joni pointed out.
"There are so many people in here it would take us till tomorrow to hear everyone's ideas!"
Mabel spoke up. "Let's have the banner be birds flying over a cloudy sky?"
"With maybe a rainbow underneath it?" Stacey piped up.
"I think maybe some pictures of what we're gonna have at the festival would be good," David said.
"Well, we can;t have ALL of them!" Bradley pointed out. He grimiced and glared at Mort who was sitting next to him. "Mort, you're standing on my FOOT!"
"Sorry," Mort said. "It's really crowded in here."
"Maybe we can try to combine all the ideas?" Milo spoke up.
"No, we can;t!" Bradley said, standing up. "You know, this is what's wrong here. There are simply too many people that signed up for this project! We can;t all work on the banner because we need to work on decorations! And there;s not enough room in here for everyone to do both!"
"You're right, Bradley. We need a Decoration Committee and a Banner Committee."
"There are still too many people," Bradley said. "We have an odd number of people here, and we're all crowded into this tiny art room. I don;t know about you, but I feel stuffy."
"We would have had an even number if Melissa wasn;t sick."
"Nonetheless, someone has to go. This room is too small, we're all crowded in here as it is. We need more room to make the banner alone."
"We all could move outside to make the banner?"
"Would Principal Milder like it if she saw all that paint being spilled outside in the parking lot? No, I say we decide who has to go," Bradley reached into his pocket and pulled out a bag. "Now, there are 9 red marbles in this bag and one black one. Whoever picks the black marble has to go. Agreed?"
"NOT agreed, Bradley. NO ONE is leaving," Amanda said.
"Well, this room is TOO small, we have too many ideas, and we'll just get in everyone;s way...and there are too many risks for accidents, especially with a certain someone here!" he thrusted the bag at Milo. "YOU go first, Milo."
"Well...ah..OK," Milo stuck his hand into the bag and felt around. "Uh...no...no...OK.." he pulled out his fist and opened it up to reveal...
a black marble.
Everyone gasped. "I...got the black one!"
"Oh, too bad, it looks like Milo's out! Murphy's Law strikes again and all that."
Amanda put her hands on her hips. "Wait just a moment, Bradley.."
"Whoever got the black one has to go. Milo got the black one. Goodbye!"
Milo looked downcast. "Well...guess that's only fair...should have known it was gonna be me, right?" he slowly stood up and flung his backpack on his back. "Bye, guys. Have a good time. Let me know how it turns out, OK?"
"Wait, Milo!" Amanda cried out as Milo turned to leave. Zack stood up too, but Milo had walked out the door.
