Silver began to soar over Angel Island, he was already making some fast movements and was eager to join in when he saw one of Eggman's battleships right in front of the island. There it was, and well, he assumed Sonic and Knuckles were aboard, quickly taking a spin and flying right towards it. And well, he was right. There they were, fighting. Knuckles was thrashing with powerful shouts, Sonic seeming to spindash right between groups of them. In the fight, Silver flew up, using his psychokinetic abilities in order to stall all of the machines at once, then tossing them right overboard.

"Woah! Silver! I didn't expect you to come here? So whats the haps? Another problem in the future, or you just came by to visit and decided to stop by and help?" Sonic placed one hand on his hips, tapping his foot with a smile.

There he was, the blue blur himself, the star of the show, truly. The Chaos Emeralds were right with him, and currently, he was wondering what his grey-furred friend's motives were.

"Though, either one, glad to have you here, Silver! Eggman hasn't gotten past us just yet, and I doubt he will now that you're here. The three of us can kick him right off my doorstep!" Knuckles would say, pounding his fists together and charging forward. Incoming bots! He immediately made the move to crash right through them with incredible force.

"Well, Sonic..." Silver landed, "I actually need the Chaos Emeralds. You see, it is about the future. Some sort of volcanic catstrophe, where this group of people seem to have power beyond my own and my mentors abilities. So I need the Chaos Emeralds in order to correct the time we live in."

"Your mentor? I assume you're talking about Blaze, right? But last we saw of her, she returned to her own world, the Sol Dimension. Well, it's either Blaze, or you met someone new. But either way, just let me kick old Baldy McNosehairs butt, then I'll give you the emeralds, sound good? But why can't you find the ones in your time?"

"That's the thing, when the crisis hit, they apparently vanished. All seven were gone, and the Master Emerald soon disappeared afterwards. There was nothing we could do in our time, but here, we have a chance if we can get the emeralds, so I'll help you take down Eggman, then, I'll be on my way!"

They took a stance together, the blue hedgehog chuckling while giving his companion a thumbs up, "Right! Come on, Silver! Let's crack an egg!"

Meanwhile, Tails was hard at work, repairing what was left of the Metal Sonic from the future. "Man... Eggman tech sure is weird... but, I can repair him... though, maybe I should make some special upgrades... I can change him to be better than who he was, maybe even give him a voice. Heh. I'll need a new name for him, can't keep calling him Metal Sonic once he's on our side... so, your new name... well, let's think... Eggman's always chasing after Chaos Emeralds, maybe we could call you... how about, Shard? Like, a shard of an emerald. Might be tacky, or I might be a little lackluster... but it works better than Metal or Metal Sonic. How about it? Shard?"

He didn't speak. No voice still. But from here on out, this Metal Sonic would be known as Shard, a friend of Silvers.

Back at Angel Island, Sonic started noticing something... odd. Two of the emeralds seemed to be pulsating. Not largely, but just enough to be noticed by the hedgehog. Some of the badniks started sparking. Then, just as quickly as it happened, it stopped. He didn't think anything of it, gripping Silver's wrist. The two of them held together, and at once, went dashing through the top of the ship, flying through robots with a super spindash. Sonic and Silver, their colors clashing together while they eliminated every form of badnik around, Knuckles was dealing with the rest of them.

Silver was a little dazed, but Sonic stood tall, staring forward and seemingly waiting for something to happen. Then, Eggman emerged from the front of a ship in his eggmobile with a scowl, "Sonic, you unbearable rat! Getting in the way of my plans once more. But I will not let you jeopardize things, I will get my hands on the Master Emerald, no matter what!" Pressing down on a golden button, he had opened a door, red lights blinking deep within, and then, a robot shot out. Metal Sonic, the one from this time!

Sonic tapped his foot, "Metal, huh? Well Eggman, I'd like to have some fun, but I've got no time, just gotta shut your plans down again, same old same old!"

The machine came zooming towards him, the two of them clashing and flying up into the air above, but Sonic would begin to bring all seven of the Chaos Emeralds out, he was about to go Super! Though, each emerald was beginning to rapidly pulsate, just like with earlier. But before Sonic could go Super, Metal Sonic attempted to swipe the emeralds, the both of them then engaging in a fight for the emeralds.

Being sent soaring through the air, Sonic soon caught himself, then locking on and flying towards the robot in order to take his emeralds back, in which he did, but they soon slipped out of his hands when Metal rammed into him. With the Chaos Emeralds being tossed to the wind, they engaged in quite the clash. Two beings of super speed, both the same yet not the same, fighting over these emeralds which could save Silver's future! With Sonic reaching towards the emeralds, Metal simply grabbed him by the ankle, then performing a powerful spin and tossing him through the air before dashing towards the emeralds. But Sonic came down hit, performing such a fast spindash that he went straight down, bouncing off of, and damaging, the ship while then flying towards Metal from below and sending him upwards, just as that fake did with the real edition.

Eggman let out a chuckle, "This is one fight that'd be interesting to see to the end, I wonder if Metal here can get his hands on those emeralds and put them to good use before you can, rodent!" Though, that's when Knuckles popped up behind him, pulling him out and onto the main deck with a surprise punch.

"That's what happens when you decide to mess with MY island coming after MY emerald! Sonic! I've got Egghead here, so I'm waiting on you!" The echidna shouted.

Though, Silver didn't know if Sonic was going to win or not, and so, he had to jump in, "I'm coming to help!" Flying into the air, awakening his powers of chaos, he began to fight back at Metal, but at once, coming into contact with Silver's energy, a massive light erupted from within the emeralds. It blinded all on the carrier, Knuckles immediately turning away from Eggman and beginning to expect what had just happened, giving the doctor time to escape and make his way to his eggmobile.

Once Knuckles was close, that was when it was revealed that the light the emeralds let off, that was an explosion, a massive burst being triggered on the ship and sending all of them flying. Metal was sent spinning through the air, badly damaged, while Sonic, Knuckles, and Silver went flying downwards with the emeralds off into the world below, though, each of them had their fair share of injuries. The least Silver could do was use his psychokinesis to make sure they had a safe landing!

Blue lights enveloped all three, and they had come down to a stone island deep below, though, Silver had to let go at some point, letting each of them hit the ground with a thud.

"Ugh... thanks for the smooth landing, Silver... where's Eggman? And the emeralds?" The blue blur spoke, rising to his feet and rubbing the top of his head, trying to ease his pain.

Knuckles stood with an angered shout, his fists pounding together, "I swear... when I find him, I'm going to make an omelet out of the guy!"

As for where the Chaos Emeralds were, well, they were going up, all seven of them had flown upwards. Not too long ago, they were falling, but for some reason, they were going up and up, never stopping. Silver was just about to try and grab them, when all of a sudden, each one let off a ray of energy, an ever-expanding energy which could be seen across the sky for miles. And each of the emeralds... they began to manifest some sort of form around themselves beyond the clouds. Bodies had emerged from within them, and each one was rapidly developing.

Knuckles let out a bit of a shocked gasp, "What's... going on?! Nothing like this has ever happened before... so why's this happening now? Could it be a result of your powers being used on them earlier, Silver?!"

The hedgehog shrugged with a worried expression, "I'm just as confused as you are! They've never reacted this way when I used my powers, so what's causing this now? Just when I needed them too... but.. they seem... these people... they seem familiar!"

Each of the appearing beings seemed to have the emeralds embedded within their bodies, and well, they all had appearances which matched the emeralds, their colors lining up with the ones inside of their bodies. Seven different species. A wolf, a fox, a bat, a dog, a cat, a bear, and then a hedgehog, each of them letting off some strange beam of light which slammed into the sea, beginning to move.

Silver, upon seeing the bear, began to realize something, "That's one of the guys who's ruined my future..! Which means that... I came here to get the Chaos Emeralds so that I could save my future, but instead, I ended up using them to create my future..! I..." He began to clench his fists, watching as all seven of the beams of light firing through the sky and ripped the ground apart. The sea were parted, and slowly, all seven of the beings began to shift, coming straight down to the group.

What were those beams of light? Well, the energy of these beings emerging let off an incredibly dangerous force, which began to split the world. Not immediately, but part of the world was being damaged, lava being revealed within the very depths. This was how Silver's future was created. And then... all seven beings slammed down on the island, with the massive bear slamming down into the ground below.

"What... are they?" Silver questioned, backing up somewhat with a stumble.

"Well... they're Mobians like us, but they came from the Chaos Emeralds... so, I'm gonna call them Chaos Mobians!" Sonic said, preparing for a fight. Though, he was still injured, he didn't know if he'd really be able to do much.

Knuckles scoffed, "A bit of a lackluster name, but it's the only one that works for us to call them something!"

All seven of them slowly began to open their eyes at once, and well, the one who stood the more menacing out of the group, was the one at the very front. A hedgehog with crimson colors, his spines going straight backwards with steel colored tips at the end. His shoes were resemblant of a mixture between Shadow and Sonics while he wore black cuffs around his ankles and wrists. With his eyes being a dark purple color, the red Chaos Emerald shown in place of his heart, and he seemed to gaze upon all three of them with nothing but malice in his expression. No words came from either of them. They all simply let their shapes take form, and once they did, that's when it began. The Chaos Mobians had awakened.
