I did not create Star Wars. I hope to create a world that comes close to the Galaxy Far Far Away, but that may never happen. Rights ought to go to Disney, Lucasfilm etc.

Perhaps I have a natural bias to make Anakin likeable and a tragic hero, but I also believe that what has presently fuelled his descent into evil is solely his fear of Padme's death. Yes he believed in stronger government and means, and was furiously exasperated with the Council, but that could not lead him to kill children. Then, even if his descent into darkness was caused his love of Padme alone, the dark side will fill anyone who falls into it with power-lust and rage?

I'm changing the tense from simple present to a more traditional simple past. I believe that for capturing multiple points of view, greater narration and description and individual thoughts and feelings, this is much better.

"

"Thank heavens we are leaving this dreadful place," said C3PO. "Master Ani, thank goodness you are here. Mistress Padme was getting worried, all on her own."

Anakin coldly ignored him as he walked up the ramp to Padme's ship. Ahsoka put one hand on 3PO's shoulder. Padme followed, her heart racing. The mood and air was very tense.

Ahsoka knew there was much work to be done. Her thoughts were on what next to do. She wondered what Anakin must be thinking. She wished to reach out to him, but she knew that that was dangerous. This was not a happy mission in the Clone Wars, where they would brotherly and sisterly bicker constantly. The future was very uncertain.

Anakin did not deserve forgiveness, did he? How scary is he? How volatile is he? He singlehandedly destroyed most of the Jedi Order… him and Palpatine. At least at the temple.

I forgive him. Ahsoka thinks. He was so kind… so loving; the greatest Jedi and Master there could ever be; perhaps the on; true friend and brother she ever had. I can't bear to see him die. He must live!

And he didn't raise a hand to hurt her. He still loves me. Ahsoka thinks. Visions of Padme's death? Anakin was too attached to the people he loved – even herself. It is surprising he would betray his Jedi family and brutally slaughter them all, but it was not… never out of the question. He is a deeply flawed individual; but Ahsoka, too was like Anakin: she would choose her loyal defender over an order of monks who raised her entire life (although they did not trust her at the end), the Jedi Code and Institution - he deserves my understanding. You do, Anakin.

I can salvage you out. Calm you down. We can rebuild the world.

Anakin sat at the back, his hand to his head. Padme sat next to him, not besides him but on the ledge on the other side.

"I won't lose you, Padme."

"Anakin, I'm not going to die!"

Anakin is barely convinced by her soothing words.

"Anakin, we can make things right, now. We will raise our child. I love you."

"I need to be alone now, Padme. Leave me"

Padme nodded, heart heavy and sat next to the front where Ahsoka was piloting.

"Thank you Ahsoka.

"I can't thank you enough."

"I know. I'm doing my best to make things as good. They are going to be difficult. I must contact Obi-Wan."

Padme suddenly felt scared. "What will he say? He wanted to kill Anakin."

"He won't, Padme. We all need to focus on… bringing… ending this evil. He won't harm Anakin. Anakin is not himself, but he isn't a threat anymore."

"I don't know what's made him like this. He was scared for visions of me dying in childbirth. I don't know what Palpatine did to convert him. I know he has done horrible things, but I love him and will never leave him."

"I know, Padme." Ahsoka said. "The dark side… it consumes. Anakin is not a power-hungry or bloodthirsty person." Ahsoka then said more softly: "Why do these visions bother him so much? I know, I too have had visions… they saved you once." Ahsoka smiled lightly. "But I've never fixated on them as much as this."

"Anakin had visions of his mother dying." Padme said, deciding she had to be open with the people she trusted. "This was when he was first assignment to protect me. We went to Tatooine. But he was just too late. She died in his arms."

Ahsoka listened sadly.

"That day he was animalistic. I've never told anyone. But he mercilessly slaughtered the entire village of Tuskens who tortured and killed his mother.

"But that's nothing like what Anakin has done just now…."

Ahsoka sighed.

"Where are we now, Artoo?

"Can you get a clear signal?"

Ahsoka wondered how to reach Obi-Wan. She reached out through the force… And she waited in meditation for a while.

She sensed where Obi-Wan could be. She contacted Senator Organa.

He came immediately. "Padme! Are you safe? Where are you?"

"Bail, I am fine. I have Anakin with me." Padme walked to the front.

"Anakin? Skywalker?" Bail got very alarmed.

"Senator Organa! We must contact General Kenobi." Ahsoka said.

"He is here. But Padme, I don't think you are protected. Skywalker has assisted the Emperor in exterminating the Jedi."

"He won't harm me, Bail. You know that."

He nodded in understanding. "I know, but Kenobi and Skywalker may not be hospitable with each other."

"Just bring him over on hologram, Senator. Nothing is going to happen." Said Ahsoka.

Senator Organa very much doubted that. But he said, "Very Well."

Kenobi came on the hologram.

"Ahsoka? Are you alright? Thank heavens you are. I feared the worst."

"I'm not a Jedi anymore, Master. I wasn't at the temple."

"Padme? You are here too? Where are you both? Can you rendezvous with the Tantive IV? Master Yoda is also here."

"I'm afraid it's going to be a little more complicated than that, Master." Said Ahsoka.

Anakin is very confused her right now. He does not know whether to stay in the path he has chosen and bled for to save his love or to allow hesitation and compassion. He doesn't want to lose Padme, either; and Ahsoka. He doesn't know what the Emperor wants of him now or how he will treat them. So he is mulling over everything, and as characteristic of Anakin (and later Vader) in deep pain and agony.

Please tell me what you think of it! And thank you for following.
