ESME
AN: Esme's backstory will not change at all. I am keeping it to the original Twilight backstory and what is written is from the Twilight Saga Fandom Wiki
Esme Anne Platt was born in 1895. She grew up on a farm on the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio, where she had a very happy childhood. As a teenager, her playful, mischievous nature often got her into trouble. At the age of 16, she fell out of a tree and broke her leg. Since the local doctor was out of town, she was treated by Dr. Carlisle Cullen. He moved out of town not long after that, but Esme never forgot the kind doctor with whom she had gotten along with so well. Initially wanting to move west to become a school teacher, she was pressured by her parents to stay and marry. At the age of 22, in an attempt to please her parents, she married Charles Evenson, but she soon realized that Charles was an abusive man. Her family urged her to keep quiet about the abuse, and Esme had no choice but to endure it. Much to her relief, her husband was drafted during World War I, finally giving her some peace.
Esme enjoyed a happy period while Charles was away, but when Charles returned in 1919, his abusive persona resurrected. Sometime after his return, Esme found out that she was pregnant. Not wanting her child to grow up in such a dangerous environment, she ran away to live with her cousin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When Charles found her whereabouts, she fled again, this time to Ashland, and posed as a war widow. To support herself, she became a school teacher, temporarily fulfilling her childhood dream. The child was born in 1921, only to die from lung fever 2 days later. Esme was devastated and felt that she no longer had any reason to live, as she attempted suicide by jumping off a cliff. When she was found, her condition was so bad, that they didn't even attempt to revive her. She was immediately brought to the morgue, although her heart was still beating faintly. Dr. Cullen was working in the area at the time and recognized her as the happy, beautiful young girl that he treated 10 years earlier. Esme regained consciousness in excruciating pain, but she was happy to see Carlisle again. To save her life, Carlisle decided to change her into a vampire.

ROSALIE
Rosalie Lilian Hale came from the most affluential colored family in Rochester New York. They were rich, and not just by colored standards; her father owning Harlem National Bank of New York, the first black-owned bank in the state.
To gain a foothold in the rest of the state, he moved his family to Rochester, New York. He was currently doing business with Royce King Jr., a white bank owner of the Rochester National Bank. He wanted Mr. King to go into business with him.
While the Elder Mr. King was very accepting of becoming business partners with Mr. Hale, his son, and namesake, Royce III was not.
While the younger King was forced to endure dinners and social events with his family and the Hales, he struck up a fake affection with Rosalie.
While it was still against the law for them to be seen in public, they would go on secret picnics as Royce preceded to woo the black beauty.
And Rosalie was quite beautiful. She was tall, slim and statuesque, with long legs, a slim waist, and curves in all the right places. She had soft plump lips and expressive eyes and could put any Hollywood beauty to shame.
When her mother caught her sneaking back into the house from one of her secret dates with Royce, her mother tried to warn her that what she was doing was dangerous. But it was too late, Rosalie was already quite smitten with the young handsome white man.
One day, Rosalie decided to visit her cousin Vera, who'd had a baby boy not long ago. Rosalie loved children and dreamed of having a husband and children one day. She dreamed of having a large home with the white picket fence where she and her husband would grow old together and watch their children and grandchildren grow.
She had taken the streetcar to the other side of town where her cousin lived. However the stop was not far from her home, it was rather late when she returned. While Vera's husband offered to see her home, knowing the stop for the streetcar stop was only a couple of blocks from her home, she assured him she would be okay.
As she stepped off the streetcar and was about to cross the street, a face stepped out of the shadows.
"Royce!" Rosalie gasped in fright. She had not expected to see him there. As he began to approach her, she began to look around to see who might see them together.
"Royce, we can't be seen together. It's not safe," she whispers as she tries to cross the street.
"Oh trust me, honey, where we're going, nobody is going to see us." Suddenly, another hand comes over Rosalie's mouth so she can't scream and she is forced into a dark alley.
That was the last anyone ever heard from Rosalie Lilian Hale again.
That is—until she was found by Carlisle Cullen.

EMMETT
Emmett McCarty was born in 1915 and grew up in the small town of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The name came from the Scotch-Irish family that owned his father's ancestors as slaves. He had what his parents considered wild adolescence, never one to worry about consequences and preferring to gamble, drink, and womanize.
Most would consider him as big as a bear, Emmett was both tall and muscular. He'd done work on the railroad. While many were intimidated by his size and most men were wary of him because of it, Emmett was as gentle as a flower. He had a very kind heart and was an all-around good guy. You would never see him without that big goofy dimpled grin. He was always good for a joke, to have everyone laughing.
Unfortunately, his kind heart, was what ultimately ended his life.
While in town at the general store getting things for his Ma, a white woman, and her little girl was in the store. Emmett kept his head down until they finished their shopping, before approaching the counter to do his Ma's shopping.
Once he was out of the store with his bag, he noticed a teddy bear laying near the doorway. He picked it up and looked around to see who it could belong to.
Just as he was about to take it inside to the storekeeper, the lady and her little girl were approaching the store.
"That's mine," the little girl declared. Emmett got down on one knee and handed the little girl her teddy bear, never making eye contact until the little girl gave him a very weak "Thank you." A big grin split his dimpled face.
"You're quite welcome little lady," and for the briefest moment, he looked up into the little girl's smiling face. Emmett forgot himself for a moment until there were gasps around him. He quickly gathered his bags and headed home.
Later that night, men in white sheets came and dragged Emmett out of bed, into the woods and nearly beat him to death.
That is until they heard the growls of what they thought to be a bear.
"Leave'em, he's bear food now," one of the men said.
The next thing Emmett knew he was being lifted up and carried off. He thought for sure, either the Chariots from heaven had come to take him home. Or the hounds of hell had come to take him to damnation.
When he woke up again and looked at what he thought was the face of an angel, he knew it to be true. He'd found Heaven.
