Author's note: the rest of the story will be in Marinette's point of view, Also, during the curse, the names are changed, Marinette's curse name is Melody, and Adrien's is Asher
It was Christmas Eve and I was at home making last minute Christmas presents for my friends like I did every year during the curse, when I noticed a present wrapped in Ladybug print wrapping paper. There was no card and no gift tag, I had no idea who it was from. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to open it yet but I didn't really care, so I opened in anyway, and I'm glad I did. I unwrapped it and I saw a box with some strange writing on it. I opened it and saw some earrings with Ladybug print on it and then a pink ball of light flew out and then a weird looking thing came out and I started to have flashbacks to the first time I met her.
"Mari-Melody, I know you don't remember me but I'm Tikki, and I'm your Kwami," Tikki said.
"Tikki? I Recognize that name. What did you say you were?" I asked.
"I'm a Kwami. I grant powers."
"Powers? Like real superpowers?," I asked.
"Yes, but because you don't remember I have to explain everything again" Tikki said. Tikki explained everything again and more flashbacks started happening, of Cat Noir, Alya, and Stoneheart. I was confused why I was having these flashbacks but I didn't mention anything to Tikki. Then I put the earrings in and even more flashbacks happened, this time of Chloé, Adrien, and Stormy weather. I couldn't ignore this anymore. I had to tell Tikki.
"Tikki, I'm having these things, they feel like flashbacks but I don't know why they are happening.", I told her.
"So Plagg was right I did help you wake up," She said happily. Right when she said "Plagg" I had flashbacks of him. The more I talked to Tikki the more flashbacks I had.
"If you transform it may fully wake you up.", Tikki said.
"Ok, Tikki, Spot's on!", I said. I transformed, and more flashbacks. The flashback's kept going for a while. "Spot's off", I said.
"I remember everything, Tikki!" I told her.
"Yes! You're awake!" She said excitedly.
" We have to find a way to break the curse!", I said.
"I don't know, all I know is if dark magic was involved in the creation of the curse, light magic will be involved in breaking it.", She said.
"So it's up to me?", I asked.
"Exactly", she said.
"I can't do this alone, is there a way to wake up ca-Adrien?" I asked.
"Yes, the same way you woke up, but it will be hard to find him, we don't know where he lives in this world. It took us a while to find you after me and Plagg got away from Mr. Agreste," She said.
"Well, we have to try, we can't give up either", I said, "But I need Cat Noir's miraculous!"
"Searching for Adrien could take days, weeks, or maybe even months.", She warned me.
"I know, but I need to try, like I said I can't do this alone." I said. "You're right", she said, handing me the black cat miraculous
"Tikki? Who died when Mr. Agreste brought Mrs. Agreste back?", I asked.
"I don't think you'll like this but it was Luka Couffaine", She responded.
"Oh" I said sadly.
"We should go" said Tikki
"You're right, Tikki, Spot's on!" I transformed and went on a search for my partner.
