Chapter Two

The next day...

Jessica (OC) POV

I was at Goode, waiting for my best friend, the most popular guy in Goode, to show up. I knew him since freshman year, and I kinda sorta like him. Very little. Okay, I'll be honest. I have a major crush on him, and my friends Lauren and Emma keep telling me to ask him out. He has black hair, a handsome face, and sea-green eyes that you could stare into for hours. Whenever he wears his sea green shirt, which is always unless he is swimming, it complements his eyes and makes him look handsome, more than usual.

I could see him walking towards school, thinking he was late. When he saw me, Alex, Jake, and Kyle, he asked "Am I late?". "No, for the first time this year, you are not late," I answered. Then he hugged us. He said to himself "How the heck did I come here early? I usually wake up at 7 and come at 8:10, ten minutes late." We all laughed, and started making our way to our first class, English, taught by Mr. Blowfis. "Hey friends, today we will start on the Odyssey. For people who want an extra challenge, I have Ancient Greek and Latin versions as well. Most of us went for the English ones, but surprise! Percy went and got a Greek copy. I asked him why he was reading the Greek copy. He pretended not to hear me.

After the first period, we had a ten minute break, when Percy always went to the viewing deck of the pool. As he walked there, all the girls started squealing and some of them asked him out. This was normal. He turned down all of the girls who asked him out with his standard reply; "Sorry, I have a girlfriend who lives in San Francisco. Yes, she is real, and no, she is not fictional. Nobody believed him. I didn't want to believe him. We went through a couple of classes where out of the 5 people in Percy's group of friends, only I paid attention, and then it was lunch. We sat in our normal table, and Percy put an arm around me. (A/N: No, Percy isn't cheating, he just likes her as a friend.)

Annabeth POV

After a good night's sleep, I woke up, looked at my monster-proof phone that Leo made for all of us, and started to scream very, very, offensive words in Ancient Greek and English that every one in the house came into my room and asked what the problem was. I told them the terrible truth. "Its 11:40."

They still looked confused, so I added some detail. "You idiots! School starts at 8! We're late!" "Hey, that rhymes!", said Leo, and everybody laughed, except me. I gave them a death glare, and they looked scared. Piper said "Uh, guys, let's go to school." Everyone showered, and ate the breakfast Calypso made. Jason decided that he didn't want to go to school, and Piper had to use her charmspeak.

When we arrived at Goode, we went straight to the office. "Hi, we are the new students. Could we please have our lockers, combinations, and schedules?" The teacher there gave us what we asked for, and told us it was lunchtime. We put our stuff into our lockers and went to the cafeteria. I looked for Percy, and saw him with his arm around a girls shoulder, and was laughing and talking with his friends. When the others saw Percy, they looked at me, and slowly started backing away.

Jason POV

Oh my. Percy was going to die today. I really feel sorry for him, because he won a fight against Mars when he was twelve, killed Kronos, survived Tartarus, killed Gaea, and was about to be killed by his very, very pissed off girlfriend. I looked at Piper for an explanation, but she shook her head and I knew that she's as confused as I am. Leo pulled everyone to a spot away from Annabeth but could see and hear both of them. "Guys, if Percy dies, I'll let you see him," joked Nico. Leo was suppressing a laugh, but Piper slapped him in the face and he looked at Piper in mock outrage.

Annabeth started walking toward Percy, then she suddenly stopped. Thalia ran off somewhere. Then Annabeth shouted at the top of her voice. "PERCY JACKSON!" and Percy looked up. Shock showed in his face, immediately replaced by fear. He stood up said something to his mortal friends, and ran away. But Thalia grabbed Percy and started dragging him to Annabeth. Percy tried to run away, but Thalia wouldn't let go. Then we, as in the rest of us, started to soundlessly laugh, even though it wasn't a funny situation.
