And welcome back! That was quick, am I right? Well here comes chapter two, and get ready, cause it's gonna be a doozie.

Chapter 2: What is New, was Old (Part 1)

It was a Sunny Saturday in Hometown, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, on days like these, the children would often be seen playing in the suburban area. Some would be riding their bikes, some would be in their backyard, either hanging out or playing some sort of game. Every home was occupied, but only two homes stood out from the rest. One was on top of the hill, a house that looked like it was maintained since its creation and one that was below the hill, less fortunate than the one above. The window was open in the house, and there sat a young woman, well a young purple dragon woman to be exact.

"Susie! Did you take out the trash?" a woman calls out from another room.

"Yes! I made sure ma." Susie called back.

After having the short discussion, Susie then walks away from her spot, she was wearing her usual get up, a purple jacket, ripped jeans and a white t-shirt. She was in her bedroom, her walls were lined with band posters from her favorite bands, most of them were heavy metal posters, a bed was facing towards the window she was just staring out of. She was expecting a call from her (recently) friend about their next journey into the strange, and wacky dark world, she wasn't even sure if what she and her friend experienced was real, but, she hopes that it was, as it was the only place that she felt free.

"Damn, what's taking him so long?" Susie cursed under her breath, it was already near noon, and she hasn't had a single call, not even a single text from them. She was now debating whether to go to their house just to check up on them, she knew that he was quiet, but not usually this quiet. It was way too out of character, even for them. She knew something was up with Kris, and she was now feeling... something, she didn't know what it was, but it was something. Susie then opened the door to her room and headed downstairs to the front door.

"Where are you going, sweetie?" Her mom called out.

"To a friend," she replied back to her, "we were supposed to meet up earlier."

"I see, may I ask, is it a boy?" Her mother then questioned.

Susie jolted a little bit from the question, how was she so perceptive? "Uh, yeah, why?"

"I was just wondering, let me guess, is it that Dreemurr boy?" her mother then followed up.

Susie was now a little perturbed by her mother's amazing sense of hindsight. She wondered if she even inherited it at all. "Yeah, why are you asking?" Susie asked her mother.

"Nothing, I just thought that you hung out with that one human boy so much that I thought you would meet each other sooner or later outside of school, I guess it's just a matter of time, right?" her mother then adds, she, unfortunately, does not know of her daughter's previous rampage in her high school, her mother wasn't informed of her actions there.

"Yeah, I guess we just got busy..." Susie replied.

She knew that was a lie, she had unfortunately bullied the teen boy since the start of the school year, they were too quiet and shy, which was the perfect opportunity for her. But she then realized that he was also very caring and protective, during their battles against the King in the Dark world, she thought that she was a goner when the king prepared his attack against her weak state, but Kris had stepped in to deflect the attacks with his shield, it was then, at that moment, a spark of compassion lit up in her soul

"Well then dear, just don't go home late. And tell hello for me, okay?"

"Okay mom, see ya" Susie then left her home. She immediately squinted as the bright sun assaulted her eyes, she should have grabbed her sunglasses from her room, but there's no use in dwelling on that, she needed to get to Kris' place. She then walked along the sidewalk to Kris' house.

Meanwhile… at the Dreemurr residence…

Kris slowly opens their eyes, it was already morning, they felt that they just slept, and the struggle they went through last night… he would rather forget about it. He sits up from his position and immediately stares at the foot of his bed, the intruding soul was still there, he then leaped off of his bed and went straight to his closet, and grabbed a piece of cloth to cover the cage, it was for the better that his mother wouldn't know of his current predicament. He then changed to his normal clothes and thought of a plan on how to act normal around his mother, when all of a sudden…

"Kris! Are you awake? Someone is here for you!" He heard Toriel call out from the living room. Who could it be? Surely his mother was mistaken, no one usually comes to his home to visit him. Who could it be? He went into his bathroom and started his usual daily routine before he was unceremoniously possessed. Most of the time he spent in the bathroom, mainly stared at his own eyes, the shimmer of the ruby-colored irises he possessed was strange indeed, but he wasn't sure if hymsHe walked down the stairs and into the kitchen and tried to find this mystery person.

"Kris! Good morning my child, someone is here for you. They're in the living room dear," Toriel exclaims, Kris then slowly peers around the corner to see none other than… Noelle Holiday, the reindeer girl Kris had remembered from his class.

"Hey, Kris! Good morning! Betcha you didn't expect me this early today huh?" Noelle claimed

"Why are you here? Did something happen?" Kris replies back, a little bit of worry and anxiousness in his voice, Noelle was surprised by Kris' sudden change of character, yesterday, he was quiet and timid, but now, he was expressive as a Christmas tree.

"Nothing really bad has happened, I just wanted to visit you and maybe hang out for a bit somewhere. You know, since we have all of this free time now, we could even invite other people to hang out somewhere too." Noelle added.

"Oh, ok, I thought something bad happened to Uncle rudy. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea Noelle, who are we gonna invite?" Kris asked Noelle. Now completely confused by Kris' new attitude, she asks him: "Did you sleep well last night? You're usually quieter than this."

"... Yeah, probably, I decided to go to bed early last night." Kris answers, "Damn it, how much damage did that damn soul do?" Kris thinks to himself, "I was really tired after yesterday as well"

"Well, speaking of yesterday, maybe we could invite Susie, she seemed to like you better now after yesterday, you somehow tamed this wild dragon, hee hee." Noelle teased Kris, She knew that even though Kris was quiet, he seemed to be more friendlier than others in his class, even when he was a little mischievous, but it seemed that around Kris' brother Asriel leaving for college and his foster parent's divorce, he just seemed to space out most of the time.

Toriel overheard the conversion… somehow, like the motherly mother that she is, "You can go out later with them later honey, after brunch, Noelle, would you like to join us for brunch? We're having butterscotch and cinnamon pancakes." Toriel asked.

"Yes, Mrs. Toriel! I would love to join you!" Noelle replied back, "Hey Kris, let's sit together so we can talk." Noelle told Kris.

"Sure, we're gonna have to play our day out right?" Kris asks Noelle, "it's better if we can sort this out now and ask the people who want to join right?"

"Yup! Glad to see we're on the same boat here Kris." Noelle answers.

As soon as their conversation had ended, a knock could be heard at the door, "who could that be? Kris, can you see who that is?" Toriel asks, Kris complies to his mother's requests and opens the door.

"Hello? Good mor-"

At the foot of the door stood a tall, purple figure, It was none other than Susie herself. Kris just stood there, staring at the mean girl herself, in disbelief (and awe), she came all this way to visit him? She must have truly changed during their trip in the dark world.

"Yo. morning, dude." Susie casually responds

"U-Uh, Good, uh, morning as well" Kris replies, sweat dripping a little bit from his forehead. He doesn't remember inviting Susie over to house yesterday, his mind was now racing, Susie hasn't been this nice to him since 1st grade in school, he guessed that she doesn't remember. "Do you want to come inside?" Kris askes Susie.

"Sure. I guess." Susie then enters the Dreemurr home and is greeted by the sight and smell of coziness. "This is a nice house you got here dude, and that smells good."

"Thanks, my mom is making some pancakes right now, do you want to join us?" Kris asks.

As soon as his question was finished, Toriel walked out of the kitchen and was surprised by the sight of Susie next to Kris. "Oh! Good morning Susie, what brings you here?" Toriel asks

"I was here to hang out with Kris today, we planned some stuff to do today."

"We did?" Kris thinks to himself.

"I see, well, I just got done making some Breakfast, would you like to join us? Noelle is here too." Toriel asks Susie

Her face lights up at the question, "Sure! Kris also asked me the same question too." As the trio enters the dining room, Noelle notices Susie's presence.

"H-Hey Susie! I didn't expect you to be here this early. Kris and I were just talking about inviting you to hang out with us if that's okay with you" Noelle asks Susie.

"Oh, Kris and I also had plans today, let me ask him real quick." Susie then turns to Kris and asks in a whispering voice, "Hey, should we take her into the dark world? I don't know if that's a good idea."

Kris then responds with: "Let's just try, It's better if we have more people helping right?"

It was after that response Kris realized… He's not sure if the portal to the dark world will even open again. It was worth the shot to check again.

"Children, it's time for us to eat!" Toriel comes out from the kitchen, carrying platters of food, ranging from Sausages to Eggs. Pancakes to toast. And Bacon to ham, it seemed like she was prepared for something like this.

"Let's discuss this later," Kris interjects. And the teen duo took their seat and got ready to eat.
