The moonlight reflected of the still drying trees as the young girl walked through the sodden forest. The girl became visible as she stepped into the wet grass of a clearing, lit by the moonlight, the girl wore a dark navy cloak, navy boots and had pale skin. She nervously took off her hood, and her fairly pretty face was revealed. she wore no makeup, except for eyeliner, which outlined dark eyes with a purple glint like an amethyst hidden within a cave. on her forehead was a red gem, perfectly placed over her third eye chakra. her dusky purple hair came down around her head like a short curtain.
she looked around nervously and then her cloak started to open from where it was attached around her neck by a dark crimson gem. under the cloak she wore a black long sleeved leotard and a golden belt, studded with deep red gems that arched from above her hip to her thigh. Underneath the cloak, lifting it, spread a pair of dark wings, feathers glinting a pale blue in the moonlight.
The girl flapped these wings and stopped, meditating, as her wings bobbed her steadily up and down with each beat. She stayed like this for a while, in a complete trance, until she felt something hit her wing and glance of her aura. the girl opened her eyes to see a search party standing blow her.
"Raven," the one with blonde hair called up, "You are to be the sacrifice to release him, come with us to fulfill your destiny," and then he smirked, "Or be captured here and be brought before the door"
Raven shook her head, muttered a quiet "no..." and then simply said, "So you've finally found me, but whats to stop me from flying away?" her voice was strong, and showed little emotion despite the terror she was feeling.
the same guy who had spoke before nodded to the guy on his left, a young faunus with brown hair and pigeon wings. he smiled at his nod, then flew up on grey wings. the man who was supposedly the boss (the one with blonde hair), called up for his pigeon-like companion to ground her.
Raven smirked and revealed a moonstone sword with amethyst around the golden hilt, and at the bottom of the hilt. She flipped open the pocket revealed by the gemstone, and inserted a skinny canister of dust in the bottom pocket before reloading her bullets in the larger upper pocket. The enemy revealed a pitchfork, which he cocked back into a harpoon launcher, he then pulled the trigger, sending the large spear straight towards Raven.
The girl dodged, barely escaping the sharp object, and then dove towards the ground an angle, dodging the harpoon on its way back to the winged man, who returned it to his weapon, which he shifted back into a pitchfork. the girl used the momentum from her dive to swoop up above her opponent, pressing one of the amethyst crystals above her hilt, and activating the dust function. then she flew up and held the sword over her head, the moonstone shining with pale blue light, laced with dust, then she dove again.
her opponent must have had a weak aura, because it broke with just this hit, and the man was sent halfway back towards the ground. he was quick in recovering from his shock however, and plucked a handful of flight feathers off of her left wing, pushing her off of him with a kick to her gut.
Raven tried to correct herself as she fell, but as she did her left wing didn't seem to power her as much, forcing her to land. the men smiled, and charged her, the boss charged her with a dagger, while the pigeon winged man dived at her from above, and the final man, a young horned man with black hair, pulled out a dangerous looking katana. Raven looked at the three, and as the young one leaped, she jumped in the air, flapped her wings and vaulted over him.
the youngest face planted as she pushed off him, the pigeon winged one spread his wings and stopped his dive, falling only a few feet, but landing on his butt, the boss however slid and jumped, twisting in the air so he still faced her.
Raven held her short sword like an assassin and tensed like a snake about to strike, her opponent moved first however, flailing his dagger at her, she dodged and moved backward, then to the side as her semblance allowed a raven-like shadow to separate from herself. At this point both of the other attackers had gotten up and started to charge. Her bird-like shadow that she liked to call her "Soul-Self" picked up a tree and threw it at them, the winged one bolted into the air and dodged, but the younger one was hit, and pinned under the tree, a shimmer of green surrounded him as his aura broke.
The boss advanced on her again, and charged her, she tried to dodge to the side, but this time he predicted that, his dagger hitting her leg. it hurt, but her aura hadn't broke yet and she was fine, it did cause her to stumble though, and he used that advantage to push her over.
Now he had the upper hand, but she still had one more trick, this was going to hurt. Raven waited until the dagger was poised to strike and then, at the last second called her soul-self. The bird came in between her and the blade, getting stabbed itself, well she rolled out of the way. she felt just as much pain as if the dagger had hit her instead, but there was no wound.
Raven stood as her soul-self disappeared, then she transformed her moonstone sword into a gun, moonstone with the golden hilt acting as the handle and the amethyst on top still triggering her dust function, and the amethyst on the bottom the trigger. She shot towards the winged man, who was close enough to the trees to dodge into one, knocking him out, then she transformed her gun back into a sword and her and the boss charged each other. As the man stabbed at her, she leaped, landing behind him and sticking out her blade to his side, then, it transformed, one blade moving so the sword could be used like a hook, then, she swung it, his aura protected him but as she swung it broke.
He landed on the ground behind her, unable to keep fighting. "Tell him," she said, "That he cant make me release him," then she put her hood back on and walked away from her defeated opponents. "no matter who or how many he sends"
