(HICCA'S P.O.V.)

I woke up bright and early today, since it was a special occasion. No, I don't have a date with Koryn planned today or something along those lines. In the last five years, we've discovered and befriended several other tribes and the Chieftess of one of them is coming over today: Atali of the Wingmaidens.

The Wingmaidens are an all-female tribe that cares for infant Razorwhip. Apparently, they nearly went extinct some time ago due to the fact that the males kept eating the young. Said Freya, herself, assigned them this mission over a thousand years ago. They're a pretty normal Tribe, save for one thing: They all have a pair of Razorwhip wings sprouting from their backs. You'd think they'd use the baby Razorwhips to fly, but nope; they have their own set of wings. I was shocked by the fact, at first, but I have gotten used to it. The Wingmaidens are a pretty friendly group and some of the younger members have expressed interest in becoming Skyfliers, themselves.

That's why Atali is coming here. She's coming to personally scout out Heaven's Peak to determine if she is willing to allow us to induct Wingmaidens, as well as potential additions that we can put in. We like to say we're ever-evolving in our methods and never stuck in doing things the same way forever. As the leader of the Dragon faction, I'm supposed to discuss these things with her and show her around. Thankfully, I got up early enough to look my best and get to the courtyard where I'm to meet her. Ten minutes later, she flies into view and gracefully lands in front of me.

"Greetings, Hicca,'' she said, politely.

"Same to you, Atali. I hope you had a pleasant trip" I said as we began walking.

"Yes, the weather has been most favorable, as of late. And I must thank you, again, for agreeing to escort me around Heaven's Peak" Atali said. I flash her a smile. She's always so nice and polite to everyone.

"It's nothing, Atali. I'm happy to help you" I said earnestly. I noticed her wings twitch a few times before returning to their resting position. Wingmaiden wings are around the size of a newborn Razorwhip, yet they are easily able to lift them off the ground without any apparent trouble.

"So, what is it you want to see in Heaven's Peak?" I asked. We passed the forge, where Blade was working.

"As you know, we Wingmaidens aren't technically Human and while we are largely the same, we have a few unique needs that must be met" Atali explained.

"I'm sure we can have them arranged, easily. Though, people will have to get used to seeing winged women walking around here" I said, seeing various people give Atali curious looks, mostly at her wings. We may have to give the Wingmaidens their own factional leader, since they aren't technically Dragons, but merely Humans who developed dragon-like characteristics.

"I have no doubt they will adjust, Hicca. Yet, as Chief of my tribe, I must ensure the Wingmaidens' safety, even if they leave our village for another" Atali said. I can understand and respect that. Being a Chief can be a huge responsibility and I should know, I was a Chief's daughter, afterall.

"Of course. Where to next?" I asked, continuing the tour.

(THIRD P.O.V.)

Astrid stood at the bow of the ship, staring out at the horizon without blinking. She's finally doing it. She's finally starting her search for Hicca. She'd never thought she would finally get this done. But, where could Hicca even be? What does she look like now? So many other questions ran through her head, she didn't hear Johann approach her until he tapped her on the shoulder. This startled her and she rounded around to the trader.

"Ah, my apologies, Mistress Astrid. I didn't mean to frighten you, my dear. I merely wish to give you a warning" he said calmly. Internally, he was smirking. It was time to sow the seeds of distrust in her.

"Of what?" she asked.

"The region we'll be heading has been in a state of war for the last five years, I'm afraid. A group of dragon-loving tribes have been raiding villages, burning them to the ground, attacking ships out on the seas, and killing anyone who gets in their way" Johann explained, making Astrid gasp in shock. Tribes that don't hunt dragons? Villages being attacked? Her worry for Hicca increased at the thought of her being at the mercy of such monsters.

"Your worry is understandable, but I assure you, we will be safe from harm. Especially with a warrior as skilled as you on board" Johann added. Astrid still felt worried. She has to save Hicca, now more than ever.

This is probably the shortest actual chapter I've ever written. But, eh, didn't have much going for it, in all honesty.

Yes, I made the Wingmaidens Human/Dragon hybrids of a sort. Thought that would be an interesting idea.
