Chapter 2

Kyle, Kevin, and Kylie sat in a canoe rowing across the lake.

"This is fun," Kyle said.

"Sure is," Kevin said.

"My arms are not tired at all," Kylie said.

"Who am I kidding?" Kyle asked. "It's hot, there's mosquitos, and I want to go to Super Sea Land."

"Can we?" Kevin asked.

"Please, Dad?" Kylie asked.

"Grandpa has the keys," Kyle replied.

"Dad?" Kylie asked. "What's that motor noise?"

Kyle and Kevin heard a motor.

"Sounds like a…" Kyle started to say as Neddie rode up to them on a jet ski.

Kyle smiled.

"Yay!" Kyle cheered. "You're here!"

"Aw man!" Kevin and Kylie whined.

"Hey," Neddie said. "Why don't you like me?"

"So many reasons," Kevin replied.

"Be nice," Kyle said. "Neddie, where on Earth did you get a jet ski?"

"I got a jet ski," Neddie replied.

"Where?" Kevin asked.

"At a place," Neddie replied.

"So did you by chance drive here?" Kyle asked.

An hour later, Kyle, Kevin, Kylie, and Neddie got into Neddie's car.

"Super Sea Land, here we come!" Kyle cheered.

Kipp walked up to them with his arms crossed.

"Seriously?" Kipp asked.

"Dad," Kyle said nervously.

"You're sneaking to Super Sea Land, aren't you?" Kipp asked.

"Well," Kyle said.

"Take me with you!" Kipp shouted. "Dad wants to go on a five mile hike!"

"Hop in, Mr. Cleaver," Neddie said.

An hour later, they arrived at Super Sea Land.

"Yes!" Kylie cheered. "Our vacation is saved!"

That night, everyone snuck back into the cabin. Kylie held a stuffed shark.

"Okay," Kipp said. "Dad's probably asleep. That old geezer can't stay awake past 8:30."

Beaver walked out of the kitchen.

"Actually, this old geezer stays up later than you think," Beaver said. "Where have you been?"

"Hiking," Kyle lied.

"Where did Kylie get that shark?" Beaver asked.

"The gift shop," Kylie replied.

"They closed the gift shop two years ago," Beaver said. "You went to Fun Ocean Park, didn't you?"

"It's Super Sea Land," Kevin said.

"And how did Haskell get here?" Beaver asked.

"Simple," Neddie replied. "I got in my car and followed you."

"This was supposed to be our annual family vacation," Beaver said. "I look forward to this trip every year. You know what? I'm just going to go home."

Beaver grabbed his keys and walked out of the cabin. Kipp followed after him.

"Dad," Kipp said.

"You can ride back with Neddie," Beaver said.

Beaver got into his car and drove off.
