You see, in writing this chapter, I realised I'd left myself one Merlin of a plothole and that opened up the floodgates for craziness and weird thoughts and the question of whether or not I'd done the right thing posting this story.

THEN, the craziest, weirdest, most-insane of inspirations hit me from a certain video game series – and a reasonably-good movie featuring Jake Gyllenhaal – and…well, now we have this story with a couple of changes made, but nothing big.

Just enough to make the idea work as a whole, really, but see what you guys think.

"Harry, you can't…"

Before Hermione could finish, Harry released a finger from the Time Turner, sending it spinning violently before, to Hermione's alarm, the furious-eyed young man vanished in a whirlwind of golden sparkles, though not before his voice echoed through the darkness one last time.

"No-one will tell me what I can and can't do ever again, Granger…after all, I'm all I've got left now!"

Then, he was gone.

Chapter 2: Harry's Flashpoint

'Never again…never again…never again…never again…'

It might have made him seem beyond-deranged, if not insane, to anyone else, but these two words were the only things Harry thought of, both as he left Granger standing in the lurch and as he felt Terra Firma under his feet again. It was still daylight, which told him his idea had worked and, as he looked around the Forest, taking in the sights, he caught sight of Buckbeak still tied up outside Hagrid's hut in the distance.

This meant him, Ron and Granger – as well as him and that loud-mouth traitor who didn't know anything about anything – hadn't come down to the hut yet. As he quickly ran around the edge of Hagrid's hut, he saw no signs of Malfoy or his goons either, which meant he'd come back before them and before him and Granger had jumped time once already.

'Good, because this will work this time,' thought Harry, drawing his wand as he moved to the Whomping Willow.

As soon as the tree started flailing, Harry's eyes hardened as he growled, "Immobulous!"

Just as he'd seen Remus do, the tree froze as soon as Harry cast his spell, though, as he descended into the tunnel beneath the tree, Harry's rage wasn't even appeased for a moment as he wondered, 'And you couldn't figure that out for yourself why, you treacherous bitch?'

Releasing the Willow from his hex, just in case anyone decided to try and be a hero and stupidly follow him, Harry ran through the tunnel, where he emerged in the Shack and, without waiting for a moment's pause, he ran up the stairs, flung open the doors and, without waiting for a reaction, he commanded, "Incarcerous!"

Ropes flew from Harry's wand at his command, startling the still-alive, soul-holding Sirius Black, who barely had a moment to speak out against the attack before he found himself wrapped up, wriggling on the floor like a worm. For added assurance, Harry disarmed Sirius, keeping his wand in hand as he stared down his godfather.

"I don't have time for the long story, Sirius, so here's what you need to know: Wormtail's alive, he's currently in Hagrid's hut, but you're going to stay right here in the Shack and, I swear, if you try and leave or stop me, I'll do what I promised months ago and kill you, do you hear me?"

"Harry?" asked Sirius, his eyes looking his godson up and down before he swallowed hard as he asked, "You look…oh…Merlin's beard, pup: what have you done?"

"What I want, for once," said Harry, aiming both wands at Sirius' eyes as he added, "And, I mean it, Padfoot: if you try and stop me, you'll die. Trust me, it's not the first time today I've watched you go down, so don't think I'm bluffing."

"No," agreed Sirius, swallowing hard again as he whispered, "I…I see it in your eyes…it's the same look I had that night, but…Harry…if you've done what…what I think you've done, you…you need to stop, son. You're messing with forces you can't begin to understand! The consequences behind your actions…"

"What part of I don't care, as long as I get what I want for once do you not understand, you stupid fool?" asked Harry, turning his back on Sirius as he added, "Now, wait here: I won't be long and don't forget my promise!"

"Harry, no, you…"

Sirius' words came too late as Harry was out the door, even before Sirius had a chance to try and convince him otherwise.

'Still no sign of that dick and his hyenas…good, I've got time.'

Reaching Hagrid's hut, Harry knocked hard, earning a familiar barking noise from Fang while Hagrid shakily opened the door, though, when he saw Harry, his eyes widened in alarm, "Harry…what…I told you not to…"

"What can I say? I'm an unruly child," drawled Harry, pushing past Hagrid before, ignoring the giant man's questions and Fang's attempts to drool over his clothes, the emerald-eyed scion headed for the pot that he remembered Hagrid revealing Scabbers in before; while Hagrid was left speechless by the 'shoot-first-ask-questions-later' attitude that Harry adopted, the young scion fished the rat from the pot before, without waiting for the insect to try and escape again, he made his move.

"Petrificus Totalus!"

"Harry, what are you…"

"Expelliarmus!"

To Harry's amusement, his Disarming Jinx had the desired effect as he saw Hagrid fall in a heap, just as Snape had done, before Harry marched to the door, ignoring Fang's growls of warning, as well as the shocked look on Hagrid's face as he saw his young friend reach the door, though not before Harry turned and aimed his wand at Hagrid.

"I'm sorry, but no-one can know my secret: Obliviate."

"Incarcerous."

With Wormtail bound, Harry turned to Sirius before he sighed softly as he explained, "Now, I'm going to release you and give you back your wand, but if you try anything, I will defend myself, do you hear me?"

"I…I couldn't hurt you…or stop you…if I…I wanted to," insisted Sirius, earning a raised eyebrow from Harry, even as the Black Lord added, "I…I made a vow; it…it's part of me be…becoming your godfather, pup. It…it forbids me from threatening anything about you…I can't even raise my hand to…to spank you, for Merlin's sake! Not that I would, but…"

"Finite."

Sirius could only gasp in relief and surprise as Harry's spell released him, earning a coughing gasp from the Black Lord as he exclaimed, "All right; thanks…thanks, pup. Now…please, slow down, take a deep breath and think! You…you've messed around with…with a force that isn't so forgiving about…about being cheated…"

"I don't care…or did you miss that part?" asked Harry, moving towards Wormtail as he growled, "I've done so much for everyone else, Sirius: it's time I got something back and if that means fucking up time because of it, then fine! I've cheated one impossible odd; what's another one?"

"But this isn't like surviving Avada Kedavra, Harry," insisted Sirius, earning an interested look from Harry.

"So that's what it's called."

"This time, you're not just battling the total destruction of everything you are, mind, body and spirit, leaving nothing waiting for you in the next life," continued Sirius, the urgency clear in his voice as he told Harry, "This time, you're literally stealing, killing and running out of time, pup. Wizards far better than you have spent years, and even longer, trying to figure out the mysteries, but the one thing everyone agrees on is that time cannot be cheated and the laws are not to be broken so lightly."

"And I told you, I don't care, Sirius!" argued Harry, casting a quick Tempus before he snorted as he explained, "In about four hours, you're going to be on the edge of a lake where Dementors will suck out your soul and almost take mine in the process, but I stop them, by travelling through time, so I can be in two places at once."

"All right, so you save me," said Sirius, but when he saw Harry's eyes darken at the words, the reality hit Sirius like a Killing Curse to the heart.

"I…you don't save me, do you?"

"No," said Harry, indicating the still-bound and petrified Wormtail as he explained, "And even worse, this cowardly traitor escapes justice again! All because Snape's a dickhead with no attention span and the so-called brightest witch of her age keeps a secret for too long about Remus…yes, I know he's a werewolf. I actually find that out before you tell me everything about Wormtail."

"But I won't this time!" exclaimed Sirius.

"Correction," said Harry, jabbing his wand at Wormtail as he told Sirius, "You won't need to: take the coward to the Ministry and clear your name."

"And what about you?" asked Sirius, holding up three fingers as he explained, "From what you've just told me, you get sent back in time because you don't save me, which means you don't save me anyway, but then, this you, who I'm guessing is the you that didn't save me, now saves me, so you don't get sent back in time because I am safe!"

"And you're going to stay that way," argued Harry, reaching into his pocket as he retrieved the Time Turner before he explained, "I've done what I want to do for once and, as far as I'm concerned, the laws of time or whatever can go screw themselves because nothing is keeping me from my family ever again…nothing! Do you hear me, Sirius Black?"

Before Sirius could answer, however, Harry's eyes widened suddenly, as did Sirius' when the golden sand in the Time Turner suddenly turned jet-black, accompanied by what could only be described as a small tempest forming in the storm. At the same time, Harry let out a cry of alarm and pain when he felt the Time Turner grow unbearably-hot in his hand, causing him to drop the object in question.

To Sirius' alarm, the force of Harry dropping the Time Turner caused the mystically-forged vial of sand to smash, sending the blackened sandstorm within the hourglass flying outwards like a miniature nuclear explosion combined with the force of a supernova, all of which was made of sand.

As Sirius went to shield his face from the blast, however, his eyes widened with horror when he heard an ear-piercing, gut-wrenching scream tear out of Harry's lips, coupled with the sounds of flesh tearing and what smelled like a dark, oily, metallic tang, which filled every fibre of Sirius' being with dread, alarm and nausea.

After only a moment, the smell, and the storming sounds with it, faded away, prompting Sirius to look at whatever had happened to his godson.

What he saw, however, was nothing like what he'd thought he might see.

Harry was there, still alive and on his knees, gasping for breath; now, however, his body looked like it had been burned, savaged and dissected all at the same time; much like a certain comic book villain, one side of Harry's face looked relatively the same, save for the fact that his eyes were no longer green. Instead, his green eye was now gold in colour, with black flecks that looked like the sands that had exploded into his face while his lightning-bolt scar seemed to have become healed, not that it mattered because of the other side – the left-hand side – of his face.

The side that was heavily-scarred, blackened and deformed, so much that Harry's mouth seemed to have been pulled back into a permanent snarl while his teeth looked like they'd become mutated into some sort of human-draconian hybrid. His whole left side was like someone had dunked him into molten lava and the storming power that had flown out of the Time Turner, sparks and flecks of which seemed to pulse and resonate their way through his skin like blood flowing through his veins.

Curiously, or perhaps horrifyingly, this human-draconian change seemed to have continued down to his left arm, which was now just as black and scarred with the same golden lightning-like flecks along his veins and arteries, as well as curved, razor-sharp talons where his left hand's fingers were. He also had a very pale patch of white skin on his left-hand's palm that was shaped like the hourglass in the Time Turner, but even that didn't reduce the horror factor of Harry's terrifying transformation.

As Sirius stared at what his godson had become, he saw Harry's chest rise and fall before, to his alarm, the Black Lord heard an ear-piercing, beyond-inhuman scream tear out of the thing Harry had become. It rattled the windows and seemed to age the very air around him, leaving nothing, but dust, mould and damp on the floor around him.

When Sirius tried to get close to his pup, however, he saw Harry's deformed side snarl, revealing a golden eye that looked just as draconian as the rest of him, before he snarled, "GO!"

Before Sirius knew what was happening, he gasped when he found himself surrounded by wands, as well as Aurors and a shocked, disbelieving Amelia Bones, Kingsley Shacklebolt and someone that dimly reminded him of his cousin's daughter, Nymphadora Tonks, but much older.

Before he had a chance to speak out, however, Sirius heard many different arguments from all sides, each one of them aimed at him, "What?"

"Sirius Black!"

"Seize him!"

"Wait! Hang on, is that Peter Pettigrew?"

"How? He's dead!"

"What is this nonsense?"

"What's going on?"

'You took the words right out of my mouth, Amelia,' thought Sirius, even as he was cuffed by Kingsley and Tonks, while Pettigrew was finally placed under arrest and led away by Amelia.

However, even with his freedom now within his grasp, Sirius couldn't tear his thoughts away from his godson as he wondered the same thing Amelia had done, but for a completely-different reason.

'What's going on?'

Chapter 2 and, wow, talk about very shocking consequences, but I guess what we should be asking ourselves is: will it last?

After all, Past-Harry won't have to turn back time and then turn it again to become the thing that Future-Harry has become, so all we should do is wait and things should be okay…right?
