Hello again, Papa Klyju is back with another chapter of Kimetsu no Kaiju! Glad to see that there are people who immediately got into this story! Sure, it's not getting as much traffic as Wild Boar Hero (probably because that one is a crossover of two relevant fandoms with high traffic) but I'm happy with the traffic this baby is getting! Seeing that a brawl was about to commence, the Mother Spider Demon quickly backed away into the forest to get out of the challengers' way, as to save her skin from getting caught up in the fight. Her instincts told her that getting in between the two would result in extreme danger.
Once the woman got out of the way, Junior let out another roar at the monster of a man before charging towards him, which his opponent mirrored. Despite the new body, he felt that it was much easier to charge at his opponent, quickly getting used to his new legs.
As the two beasts got closer, the former kaiju raised his arms to grasp at his opponent's shoulders, much to the spider demon's surprise before he felt himself being pushed by the unknown man. Soon, Junior began to lift up his opponent, further surprising the monster as he felt his feet leave the ground before he was chucked towards a nearby tree. The wood splintered as he crashed into the tree, dazing him for a bit before he picked himself up. Though he felt a bit of pain, this didn't stop the spider demon before he ran towards Junior, who was caught off guard by the tackle before he felt himself tumble to the ground.
The larger demon raised his arms up to smash the younger man into a paste, but the white edges of Junior's hair lit up with blue coloring, going up to his head before his eyes glowed a brighter blue. He opened his mouth and shot out another stream of fire, but this one seemed to be more focused on power and aim. Blasting his opponent back, Junior lifted himself from the ground before the atomic breath pewtered out. He looked at his downed opponent, who leaped back up to his feet with a roar, quickly running towards Junior to throw a right hook. Junior didn't dodge, believing that he couldn't get harmed, but he was knocked to his side as his cheek seemed to flare up with intense heat.
The monster king regained his footing and pivoted on the ball of his heel, quickly spinning around and swinging his tail at the spider demon, knocking him back a bit. He went again to swing the appendage at him again, but his opponent was ready this time, backing away in time before he reached to grab it. Junior let out a shocked yelp as he felt himself get dragged through the air before he felt the wind push against the side of his body. Everything seemed to go around so quickly that his new body began to feel something strange. It wasn't like his atomic breath, rather, it felt more liquidy, for lack of a better term, and instead of starting at his lungs, it began at the center of his stomach.
Thankfully, he was flung off to a tree before he could figure out what that sensation was, but that relief was immediately replaced with white-hot pain as he slammed into a tree before he fell to the dirt. The transformed titan picked himself up to a single knee to regain his stability, but he shook his head before looking at the Father Spider Demon with rage. In his enraged state, he threw caution out of the wind and grasped at the base of the nearby, letting out a grunt as his muscles tensed up. The tree shifted up a bit before the dirt around it rose up. Junior let out a yell before he managed to pull the tree out of the ground, dirt flying off of the roots. The monster king grit his teeth before letting out a roar, swinging the tree at his opponent.
Shocked by what he just saw, the Father Spider Demon wasn't able to react to the attack in time to dodge or block it, receiving the full force of the strike as he was sent flying back to another tree before falling to the ground, letting out a gasp as he did so. The demon tried to pick himself back up, but it was clear that he was winded. He struggled to pick himself up from the dirt, but he couldn't muster up the strength, falling flat on to his face, looking up to his opponent as the transformed kaiju tossed the tree to the side as he walked towards him, the scowl on his face lessening in intensity.
"Do it…" The Father Spider Demon muttered out. "Do it, you son of a-" He stopped suddenly when a familiar figure dropped from the trees. The small, child-like figure caught their surprise, as the small figure got back up on their feet to look at Junior. The figure had the same general features as the woman from earlier but was obviously a male child. The hair wasn't as long, and it seemed to have spider legs curling around to frame his face, as well as covering up his right eye. He wore similar clothing as the woman, a strange white haori that seemed to give a menacing aura to his appearance, as well as revealing his bare feet.
"I'm terribly disappointed in you, father." The young boy said in a monotone. "I expected you to be able to handle this, but it appears that I was wrong in trusting a weakling like you."
The dismissal of the larger being's efforts shocked Junior. Why wasn't the child worried about their father's safety? Moreso, why did the child look down on his father? It made no sense! On top of that, why did the child smell older?
"Rui, wait, just give me another chance!" The Father Spider Demon exclaimed in a panicked voice as if he was facing off something from Hell. Rui looked impassively at the figure before he spoke again. "I already give too many chances to the Mother. I trusted you to keep the family safe and look at your condition. Failure is not tolerated in the family."
In an instant, Rui's hand shifted, moving some invisible webs that the Father didn't notice, but before they could wrap around his neck, Junior grasped the spider demon's wrist and began to squeeze, cutting off the circulation to his hand. The air tensed up as the two struggled for control of the shorter being's hand as they slowly raised up the appendage. Both the demon and former Kaiju gritted their teeth intensely, neither side willing to give up.
Eventually, Rui managed to break away from the young man, jumping away from the reptilian-like being. "You're powerful." He stated simply. "Join my family."
Now Junior was simply confused. Why did the young boy ask him that out of nowhere? Didn't he try to kill his father?
"As you can see, that weakling is of no use to me." Rui coldly said as he pointed towards the Father Spider Demon, who flinched at the action. "As such, the family will need a stronger being to be the father. You are perfect for the role, as long as you fulfill it."
The silence that enveloped the area was deafening, a shocked Junior trying to process exactly what Rui just said. He was trying to replace his father… with him? Throwing away the man that cared for him? Just like that? But how could anyone be so cold-hearted like that, especially to their family?
As he thought about this more and more, he began to question what else could happen. If he said yes, he would be at the mercy of this being if the look in his fallen opponent's eyes was anything to say. Even after all that, there would also be the threat of being used and beaten by the smaller figure.
Used and beaten…
Things began clicking together for Junior. "Yoo… Hurt… Dem…" He muttered in a deep voice. He felt his body temperature rise as he gritted his teeth together.
"If they can't fulfill their role in the family then they deserve to be punished," Rui stated calmly. "That is simply necessary for them to fulfill their roles and keep their place with me."
"Dat…" Junior growled. "That's… Not… Family!" With that, the white edges of his hair glowed a neon blue color before he fired off an atomic breath. Rui jumped out of the way as the flames burned towards him, with the Father Demon ducking down to avoid the attack, though the flames did manage to singe his hair and a bit of his skin. He knew that this was going to be far worse than his fight with the young man, so he quickly hid into the forest. Hopefully, Rui would forgive his failure after this.
Back with the fight, Rui raised his hand up, yanking an invisible thread of webbing that was connected to Junior's foot, tripping him to the ground. The young man picked himself up in rage as he let out a roar before he charged towards the smaller opponent, snapping the webs in the process and surprising Rui in the process. It would seem that stronger webs would be necessary.
The pale boy landed on the ground and swung his hand back, causing a part of the ground to burst. The explosion raced towards Junior, who kept charging at Rui before he felt something wrap around his arms, cutting into his skin. For the first time since Junior got here, he began bleeding, though this barely stopped him. The pain was intense, but ever since he fought Destoroyah, nothing could faze him nowadays.
Though his movements were hindered, Junior kept stomping towards his opponent, his eyes narrowed into a scowl reminiscent of his father's. The anger that he was directing towards Rui scared the demon, if only for a moment before steeling his nerves. He won't let something like this imbecile beat him. He was of the Demon Moons, after all!
Quickly spotting his opponent's hair glow blue, Rui swung his other arm, wrapping Junior's neck with webs that began to choke the reptilian being. Junior grit his teeth as he felt his attack die down, his throat beginning to ache as his lungs screamed for air.
But that wouldn't stop him. He was King of the Monsters after all! With a burst of power, he yanked his arm forward, snapping the webbings that held it in place as he grabbed the webs on his neck. The action surprised Rui once more, giving Junior the chance to fire off another Atomic Breath, though it was rather weak.
The attack hit Rui's chest dead-on, knocking him back to the dirt in a daze. Before he could get back up, he felt someone grip his head before he was dragged face-first through the dirt by his opponent, who had a snarl on his face before he threw Rui into a tree. The impact actually managed to snap the tree in half as the smaller being smashed into another.
Rui quickly got back up, swinging his arm to lash out his webbing, which slashed at his opponent's chest and causing blood to spurt out. But the attack didn't deter Junior in the slightest as he began to charge towards Rui, dodging all of the attacks the spider boy sent his way, with only a few managing to make cuts on his skin. Within a few moments, the former kaiju reached his opponent and began to deliver strikes to him, his claws drawing blood as he slashed at the smaller figure.
Rui let out grunts of pain as he stumbled back from the transformed titan's attacks, his rage rising as his blood spurted out of his wounds. How is this possible?! How was this being capable of hurting him this badly?! Him, a Demon Moon!
Eventually, Junior hit Rui with his tail, knocking him back, much to the pale boy's relief. He slowly picked himself back up, which made his opponent brace himself for another round. Rui, however, had enough of the fight. He crossed his arm, clenching his hands as blood began to flow into the webs.
"Kekkijutsu…" Rui muttered." Kokushiro!"
With that, Junior found himself surrounded by a cage of red webbing, which was getting smaller as he looked around in shock. He shook himself out of the initial surprise and went ahead to tear the cage apart, but he screeched out in pain as the web tore some skin from his palm. The sight of his opponent suffering elicited a smirk from Rui. It was all over…
However, Junior had one last trick up his nonexistent sleeve. He readied himself, spreading his feet apart and curling his arms around his hand as his hair glowed blue. The humming slowly grew louder as Junior felt the familiar burn of atomic energy within his body. It was at this moment that he spread his arms out, releasing a nuclear pulse attack, turning the webs into cinders. This wasn't the end, however, as the energy set some of the webbings on fire, which raced towards Rui, who jumped back and severed his connection to his webs. With that opening, Junior raced towards his opponent, piercing through the flames to deliver a powerful blow to his enemy, smashing him to the ground.
Wasting no opportunity, Junior got back up and charged up his atomic energy again before he fired off one last Atomic Breath, setting Rui's body on fire. The spider-like boy screamed and thrashed around in pain before he went slump, signifying the end of the battle.
Satisfied, Junior raised his head to the sky.
"SKRRRRYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGKKK!" Junior roared out in victory. When he stopped, he let out a sigh of relief before he turned around, walking away from the forest clearing. As he did so, he did not notice a group of people sitting on the trees looking at him in awe. It was over. Rui was dead. They were free!
"He killed Rui." A young girl said in surprise as if she just witnessed a miracle, tears forming at the edge of her eyes. "He's finally gone, we no longer have to live in fear again!"
"Impossible!" A spider-like being with a human head stated. "Big brother Rui is too strong! How could a maggot like him beat our brother?! I'll kill him!"
"No!" A pair of more childish voices cried out in opposition. "He's too strong! You won't win!"
"Why, I oughtta-!"
"They're right." The Father Demon spoke. "You would be killed before you get the chance to administer your poison. There's no question about it."
"But how would you know?! I could do it, father!" The younger spider demon exclaimed, earning a grunt from the larger being.
"Don't call me that anymore." He said, much to the confusion of the four younger beings. "Now that Rui is dead, we have no reason to pretend that we're family."
"I-" The young girl began before her voice died in her throat. There was nothing to say about that logic. They were free again, they no longer had to play the part of a family, especially to a sociopath.
However, she realized something was off and looked around. "Wait, where's mother?" She asked out loud, making the others realize the same thing. Where was she?
Eventually, they heard some rustling, making them turn to look in the direction the sound came from to see the last female doing something with a pile of leaves as if she was weaving something together. Eventually, the leaves formed the shape of a cover, after which the former mother spider attached some of her webs to it. "I'm going with him." She stated, much to the surprise of the others.
"With the one who defeated Rui?" The younger pair asked in curiosity.
"Who else?" The mother said before she raised the cover over her head. "He saved me from Rui. I have to thank him somehow." With that, she began running towards the path the young man went, much to the surprise of the rest of the group. However, when the initial shock wore off, the former daughter started working on the remaining leaves to fashion her own cover.
"What the hell are you doing?" The smaller spider-like being questioned in annoyance.
"She can't take care of herself without guidance, SOMEBODY has to help her out!" The sister simply stated as she worked on her own leaf cover. The declaration frustrated the father and older brother before they began to look around for something to make their own cover with. "What are you doing?" The older sister inquired the pair.
"You said that she can't take care of herself, well, neither can you, NONE of us know how to live alone!" The father said as he tore out a large strip of bark from a nearby tree. "We all NEED each other to function!"
Surprised by this declaration, the older sister went back to work on her cover. Before long, the whole group managed to finish their own covers. Satisfied, the group quickly followed the former mother, vanishing from the forest, unaware of the challenges the future will bring.
