Thanks for the reviews, i'll take everything you guta Said into consideration. Also, sorry for the long wait, truth is i can only write halfway decently when i'm feeling inspired, so the updates wait time can take from days to months, but i do promise to finish this fic someday.

Chapter 2:

The Straw Hats had finally arrived at Dressrossa. The news about Doflamingo apparently resigning in his warlord post took everyone by surprise, except for Smoker, who already had a feeling this could happen someday, faith in the warlord system was something that the marine did not have in the slightest.

They then made the plan of action, a part of the group would head to Green Bit to deliver Caesar, another group would head to the city to destroy the SMILE factory and the rest would stay at the sunny to protect it. Smoker went with the factory destruction squad alongside Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Franky and Kinemon.

The group then, already in the city, entered a restaurant. The place also seemed like it was something of a gambling den for the Donquixote family as many men in their uniform could be seen alongside the patrons, one patron in particular caught Smoker's attention: a tall, blind man with a cane and purple robes. There was no doubt about it, it was the newest appointed Marine Admiral: Fujitora.

- Hey - Said Smoker, getting the attention of the rest of the group - See that big man in purple over there? - The crew looked, catching on very quickly since he stood up like a sore thumb around everyone - He's the newest appointed marine Admiral, Fujitora. He's probably working undercover here in the island since he's lacking any identification.

- No way! He's a marine admiral!? - Yelled Luffy at the top of his lungs, which made Smoker react with a punch to his head. - Be quiet, Straw Hat, you idiot! It's not him we're here for, so let's try and stay clear from him at least for the time being.

From there, however, the situation only escalated. Zoro's sword was stolen by fairies, which prompted him, Kinemon and Sanji to jump out of the window to go get it back, leaving only Smoker, Luffy and Franky in the restaurant. The three then left the place, deciding to start their investigation on the factory already. They picked a back alley and easily kidnaped a thug from the families to interrogate, Smoker, however, insisted to be the one in charge of the interrogation.

- What? What's that about a tournament? - Smoker asked, while holding the thug by his neck - It's… It's in the Corrida Colosseum! I heard one of the top officers in the family will be participating, and the prize… It's the flame-flame fruit! - Desperatly said, crying, the thug, after having been beaten down to a pulp by Smoker. Luffy even kinda felt sorry for the guy, but not much.

What the thug said really interested Smoker though. Having changed bodies, the marine lost his devil fruit power, gaining the flame-flame fruit would give her a significant power boost, one she surely needed to accomplish her goals faster.

As they walked on the street, the marine still wondered if joining up, even if for a short time, in a mission with a pirate crew was a good idea. She'd seriously considered turning them over to Fujitora back at the restaurant and continuing her Quest to take down Doflamingo and Kaidou on her own, but something held her back, something she didn't even know what it was. - Hey, Straw Hat - Said Smoker, instantly grabbing Luffy's attention. - What really is your objective?

- I will find the One Piece, and then i'll be the next king of the pirates. - Awnsered Luffy, without a care in the world. Smoker however already knew that, and wasn't satisfied with that awnser - And after you find it? The One Piece, what will wil do? - Asked the former marine again, determined to get something out of Luffy - I guess i never really thought about that, it just sounded fun to look for it. - That had hit Smoker with the biggest surprise, was it all a joke for him? No, he was a pirate, pirates were all motivated by greed and bloodlust, there was no way Straw Hat was speaking the truth, thought Smoker.

- And as for becoming king of the pirates, i just always thought it was because he is the most free person in the world, hihihi! - Finished Luffy, with a smile snd a giggle. Leaving Smoker totally dumbstruck, looking at Luffy like he was some kind of alien creature. Smoker always thought of pirates as they all being evil, but he had never seen the Straw Hats deliberately hurt civillians for example, could all that be true?

The trio headed to the colosseum, with Luffy agreeing to give the fruit to Smoker if they won, after all, for Luffy, she was already a part of his crew. Franky decided not to participate and instead go look for more intel on the mission.

After making the registrations, which were "Lucy" and "Smoker" the duo entered the waiting room and met the gladiators, many of them staring and smirking at Smoker and her "assets". They met some the colorful figures that would be participating like King Elizabello, Don Chinjao and many others. - I hope i get the chance to pummel all these scum to a bloody pulp in the arena, maybe that'll teach them to live honest lives - Commented Smoker, as they walked. The two then quickly got in their respective armor sets, with Lucy limiting himself to a helmet and a red cape, and Smoker changing into an armor simmilar to the one another warrior named Rebecca wore, the difference being that the armor was colored as steel and the cape was red, also Smoker wore no helmet and switched the sword to her trusted jitte. Of course Smoker changed in front of everyone, making most men in the room nosebleed and faint, Sanji style, with Smoker, as usual, not caring in the slightest.

The duo was getting ready to head for the place where they could see the first block's fight, however, the situation was about to change as a famous pirate entered the room: Cavendish had made his entrance.

If i seemed to skip over a lot of stuff, it was intentional. The stuff i skipped would not change at all from the manga with Smoker being there, and since he/she is the protagonist, i'd like to keep it focused on him and in the changes to the story and to the One Piece world with he/she being around.
