Annabeth's provision:
"You guys really didn't have to do this for me," Annabeth exclaimed .
"Well you can't blame Mae, Texas Roadhouse is the best steak house ever!" Leo proclaimed .
"They also have the best bread rolls too," Jason agreed.
They were at a table and booth for nine people. Percy and Annabeth were sitting on the left side of the the booth. Piper and Jason sat across from them. Leo and Calypso sat next to Piper and Jason. Hazel and Frank sat in chairs next to Percy and Annabeth. Mae sat in a chair next to Hazel.
Everyone had a bread roll on their plate, and a drink in front of them. Annabeth, Percy, and Frank had Sprite. Mae and Jason had Pepsi. Leo, Calypso, and Piper had water, and Hazel had sweet tea. (A/n, Hazel is southern, and sweet tea is southern. We southerners have claimed sweet tea!)
"Before the waitress or waiter comes. What are you guys ordering?" Mae asked them.
"I definitely want a cheeseburger," Leo said.
"And you said that you liked the steak! Any ways, I am getting bone-in ribeye with a baked potato," Annabeth said.
" I also want a cheeseburger, " Percy said.
"Same!" Jason agreed.
"Steak bites?" Frank said questioning it.
" steak bites are tiny and they come with steak fries, are you sure you want that? " Mae asked him.
"Never mind. Road Kill with a sweet potato," Frank changed his order .
"A grilled chicken salad with low fat ranch as the dressing ," Calypso said.
"Chicken critters with a sweet potato," Hazel said.
"a house salad with low fat ranch," Piper anwsered.
The waitress came and took their order. They ordered what they said, and Mae ordered a Chicken Critter Salad with honey mustard as the dressing. The waitress left, and they continued on their conversation.
"So, Mae, Calypso, what are guys going to do, while we are gone?" Leo asked.
"Well, I plan on doing some online collage while you all are gone. We, Calypso and I, plan on making rules for you all to follow," Mae smirked as she took a sip from her pepsi.
The seven groaned. "I plan on regaining my magic, and practicing it. I also plan on doing house work. And help Mae with some rules."
That was the cue for more groans, "Oh come on! They're only simple rules, like don't drink, don't do you know what, and many other things. Calypso and I have a surprise for you once we get home."
"Again, you guys don't have to do this for me," Annabeth said .
"But it starts out with your surprise, which includes us playing a couple scavenger hunt this evening," Mae said mischievous, " Oh you will sea what I have plan for you all. "
"Did you just," Leo began.
"What are you talking aboat. I ashore you that these jokes are just nothing. Any ways, the hunt is for everyone of you but me, since I am the adult, and Jax is not here, basically I will give you a clue and then you go find the clue around the penthouse suite, in the end, you will find what you are looking for, but I won't tell you."
They talked for a couple more minutes until their meal came. Annabeth's meal was delicious. The steak was cooked at medium rare and tasted like a better version of Mae's steaks. The baked potato was better than any potato she had ate. The potato was cooked at the right temperature, the sour cream was placed in the middle so every bite had every flavor of sour cream, potato, bacon bits, and green onions.
When they finished the meal, they had 6 to-go boxes, three were for each salad, and the other three were for Annabeth, Frank and Hazel. For some reason Mae was able to pay for the food, and they left.
They had to take two cars because of the big party. The girls took Mae's truck, in which Mae drove. The boys took the S.U.V, and Percy drove. Mae made them take turns sitting in the front seat, Piper rode first (charmspeak!) in the front seat, then Hazel who Mae asked to take care of the food. However, Percy just let the boys sit there if they yelled , "SHOTGUN!" Jason yelled.
Annabeth rolled her eyes at the boys who were now fighting over who sits in the front seat. Annabeth opened the back side door of the truck, and climbed to the middle seat. Annabeth bulked her seat belt as both Calypso and Piper say down next to her. "I don't understand why people fight over who sits in the front seat? It is just a seat!" Calypso exclaimed .
"You don't want to know," Mae said anwsered as she jumped in the front seat of her Ford Truck. Hazel opened the door and handed the food to Mae, and Climbed in. Once in her seat, she buckled her seat belt, and took the food back.
"So who got the front seat in the other car?" Piper asked.
"I thought you didn't care about drama? " Annabeth asked.
"Oh, sometimes, if it is really fun-"
"GET YOUR SEAT BELTS ON!" Mae yelled at them.
Piper put her seat belt on and continued, " when it is really funny. So wo got it? "
"I think it was Leo. Wait no. Jason," Hazel said. Mae pulled out and started to drive at the speed limit to the the penthouse suite .
"Sit down!" Mae yelled again. They were in the living room , just talking about random stuff, but when Mae yelled the first time, no one herd, "IF YOU DON'T, I WILL CANCEL THE SURPRISE," this time everyone say down on a couch and stopped talking.
" Wow, Mae, chill down, " Leo said.
"Said from a person who can create fire," Calypso retorted .
Everyone Ohhed at it, besides Mae who was no where in site. Then a loud bang happened, Mae had pans in her hands.
"Is everyone listening," the eight nodded, " Well then, the first clue. If you truly know Mae (A/n imagine she actually said Me) then look outside, " Mae smiled, " Get into your team's and discus. "
Annabeth and Percy got together, "I think I know what she means," Percy smiled, " My sister is smart. "
"Then she means-" Annabeth thought for a minute.
"Rain!" They yelled quietly. They ran to the stairs, and headed up. They ran to the end of the hall, and burst into Mae's room. They saw Rain next to a window that had a piece of paper.
They ran over to it, Annabeth grabbed it and read, "'Wow! You found it. Next clue. Think of Mae's favorite song that she and her friends cover song, then find what Mae uses to much.' Wait I think I know. Her favorite cover song they did is cheerleader, and she uses her cheer mat a lot. It's her cheer mat!"
"It's in her office!" Annabeth stared at Percy, "What! We all have a office." Annabeth shook her head.
Percy ran down the stairs, Annabeth followed. Her office was down the hall from the stairs, it was four doors down, on the left. Percy opened the door. Annabeth went in, and looked around for a hot pink mat.
She saw a pink mat in the corner. She nudge Percy's side and pointed at the mat. He ran over, he looked at the front, opened it, he looked for a peice of paper on each space of the mat. He turned it around, and a note fell, he picked it up and handed it to Annabeth.
It read, "'Wow! I thought the last one was tricky! The next clue. To think or not to think, Mae wants to go there, but can't go, instead she eats this with her coffee' Oh I forget!"
" Wise Girl, it's Tim tams! Mae always wanted to go to Astralia to see giraffes and for more flavors of them, she has them on the kitchen!"
They ran towards the kitchen. The kitchen was so new. It was all white, counters, fridge, the stove, oven, micorave, and the white brick behind the counters. The counters drawers, and the cabnits were those new ones that if you press it, it opens. The pantrey did the same. Percy ran to the pantrey, presses it, and it opened.
They ran in, they serached the selves for cookies, found none. Annabeth looked around again, felt around every where. She walked over to where the coffee bags where, moved them, and a purple cookie package was there with a note.
"Seaweed Brain, I found it, stop searching," Annabeth yelled. Percy ran over. Annabeth began reading it, "'almost the last clue. The trickest. Think of what Percy called himself when he first came, go there, find the last clue.'"
"I called myself the lord of bathrooms, but there are many bathrooms in this penthouse. We can't look at everyone, that will take to much time," Percy said.
"Wait! It said your name, not Mae's, so it has to be in your bathroom," Annabeth thought. Percy nodded, they ran out of the pantrey, and ran up the stairs, they passed Jason and Piper. They ran towards Percy's room, and opened the door to his bathroom. Percy ran over to the sink and looked. Annabeth however, looked at the toilet. She picked the seat up cover up, and note was placed there. Percy looked over at her and came over.
"'Last clue! Mae plays John Laurens in the song after My shot. In the music video they made, they film part of it where. Go there and the surprise is there,'" They said together.
"The song after My Shot in Hamilton is The Story Of Tonight. They filmed the end outside," Percy said, "We have a bocany, she could be there!"
Percy lead her out of his bathroom, and down the hall where a glass door lead to a bocany. They ran outside. There was a hottub, sofa's, a screen to watch a movie, and a great veiw of the city. There was also a bar there. They saw Mae sitting in the hot tub with a fruit smootie in her hand.
"You guys found the clues. I knew you two could do it, also the anwsers were also on the back of the clues," Mae said, "Any ways, I should probaly tell the others that you win. The surprise is over on the coffee table in front of the couches."
Mae got out of the hot tub, and went into the penthouse. Percy and Annabeth moved over to the coffee table. A box laid there. They sat down on the couch. They opened it. Another note was in it. Annabeth took it and read it out lound, "You won! Congrates. Any ways the surprise is that Annabeth is moving in with us.' WAIT! WHAT?"
"Wise Girl it's ok- WAIT! WHAT," Percy took the note and read it again and again.
"Wait, so the surprise was that Annabeth was moving in! Well I thought it was-" Leo began then notice that a new movie sat next to the box, "Is that?"
"Yes, that is Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, I bought it. I also got the ingredients to make spring rolls," Mae answered .
Leo looked amazed then squealed like a girl, " When are we going to watch it? Where are we going to watch it? What are we going to eat while we watch it? When are we going to watch it? Wait I already said that, but who cares! "
"Leo, take a chill pill. We are going to watch it Sunday, we are going to watch it right here, and we are eating popcorn, spring rolls, pizza, nacho cheese Doritos, MM's, and many other sweets too. For Piper, she will get a salad. I think Nico wants to come, I don't know. Also Annabeth, you can bring one friend to watch this with us, " Mae smiled.
Annabeth say on the couch with her phone in hand, she had Liam's text page up, and texted him ,'This Sunday my friends and I are going to watch a movie. One them said that I could invite a friend, so would you want to come?' Annabeth turned her phone off, and turned around.
Mae was back in the hot tub. The boys were arguing. Calypso, Hazel, Piper were in the hot tub and were talking to Mae. Annabeth got up, walked over to the hot tub, and joined their conversation.
