Videl had noticed that Gohan and Lime had dropped off from their group.

She was about to say something when the new teacher suddenly exclaimed, "Hey, Gohan! Long time no see!" Everyone in the room stopped and looked towards the new teacher. The teacher noticed and looked around the room at all the students.

"Oh, uh hello class! My name's Krillin and I'll be your self defense teacher until another teacher is found. Why doesn't everyone get changed and meet out here in 5?" The new teacher paused awkwardly. "Okay? Good!" Everyone made for the locker rooms, except for Gohan. Videl walked towards the locker room but remained at the entrance. She could change afterwards anyways. Listening into this conversation took a higher priority.

'Where have I heard the name Krillin before? That orange gi seems awfully familiar.' She searched through her memories of different fights she'd watched and it struck her. 'Wait he's that Krillin! He's competed in multiple World Martial Arts Tournaments before! But, how does he know a bookworm like Gohan?'

"So, Gohan, how's it been? You still training hard?" The short man asked. 'Training? What could a wimp like Gohan possibly be training for? A trivia show?' Gohan chuckled nervously.

"Yeah, but uh, I'm trying to keep a low profile here. So, maybe try not to talk too much about me, alright?" Gohan asked, looking around and wringing his hands nervously.

"Aw, c'mon, what's the fun in that! I know you could literally beat everyone here without breaking a sweat! Do you know how many girls would be going after you?" The spiky-haired student blushed wildly for the second time that day.

"Krillin! I-I just want to have a normal life for once. Don't mess this up for me." The teacher slapped Gohan on the back. Gohan gave him a death stare.

"Okay, Gohan. I'll stay out of your hair. But if I see any hot girls, I'll nudge 'em in your direction." The man smiled mischievously. Gohan fumed.

"Krillin!" Just as the conversation finished, students started to come back out of the locker rooms.

Erasa, Videl, and Sharpner got back together to talk.

Sharpner sized up the teacher in his mind. "So how does brains know the teach? And on top of that, who is the teacher? He doesn't look that strong to me." the blond asked.

"I don't know how he knows that teacher, but I do know the teacher is Krillin!" Videl exclaimed. The two blondes stared blankly at her. Videl raised an eyebrow. "You guys don't know who Krillin is?"

"Videl, not all of us follow martial arts as closely as you do Vi. Who is he? Some new fighter?" Erasa asked. Videl gaped at them.

"No you guys, he's a veteran! He fought at multiple World Martial Arts Tournaments!" Erasa still seemed confused, but Sharpner scoffed.

"Man, they let anyone into the Tournament nowadays. I could beat him easily!" Videl rolled her eyes.

Krillin turned to face the class.

"Okay class. I want you all to partner up." People grabbed their friends as partners. Erasa partnered up with Sharpner, leaving Videl to find a partner. She looked around for someone

"Hey, Videl!" Videl turned. It was Lime. "Can I pair up with you?" Videl looked around. There really wasn't anyone else. She nodded her approval.

Gohan was left standing by himself. He looked around and saw Lime with Videl. The two made eye contact and Gohan frowned at her. Lime just shrugged and smiled back.

"Gohan! Come up here," Krillin said. "You can be my partner for the demonstration." Videl watched as Gohan sighed and made his way to the front of the gym with Krillin. She could hear snickers coming from the boys in the room.

'Demonstration? There's no way he thinks that Gohan can fight. He must mean he's going to just show off some moves without hitting him.' Videl thought. Then she remembered what she had heard Krillin saying earlier. ' "I know you could literally beat everyone here without breaking a sweat!" What was that supposed to mean? '

"Okay, now one person from each pair is to come up and grab one of these." Krillin held up a large turtle shell in one hand. There was a moment of discussion between the partners, and eventually people began going up to pick up their shells.

"Jeez, this thing is heavy!" A student exclaimed. Multiple other students expressed agreement when they tried (and failed) to lift the massive turtle shells off the ground. Many ended up just pushing them back to their partner. The multiple jocks that were there were also able to pick up the shells with some difficulty and carry them back. Videl picked one up. It was heavy, but definitely not as heavy as some of the weights she lifted at home.

Krillin smiled at her. "I'm surprised you could lift that. Do you do martial arts?" Videl stopped for a second. Did this man not know who she was? She decided to let it slide and gave him a smile in return.

"Yes, my father trained me. I'm pretty sure I'm the strongest out of every person in this room," she stated proudly.

"And who would that be?" All the other students in the room gasped. He really didn't know who she was!

"He's only Hercule Satan, savior of the world!" One student exclaimed. Instead of seeming shocked, Krillin just frowned. 'What is with people and acting weird when my dad is talked about?'

"I... nevermind. Let's just move on. Now, one person needs to put on their shells." There were groans, and as students struggled to put on the shells, one person spoke up.

"Why isn't Gohan putting on a shell?" Some of Videl's classmates turned to look, and sure enough, Gohan was just standing there, watching everyone struggle.

Krillin smiled. "Well, let's just say he's past turtle shells." Videl didn't show it, but she was ticked. 'Oh now he's getting special treatment by the teacher just because he knows him. I'll give him a piece of my mind after class.' Then Krillin turned around and pulled out a large set of weighted clothing. 'That set looks like it weighs a ton.'

"Gohan, catch." Videl's mouth fell open as Krillin simply tossed the clothing and Gohan caught the set in his arms. The rest of the class stood still. Gohan saw the expressions on his classmates' faces and looked at them, confused.

"What?" He said, genuine confusion in his eyes.

In that moment, Videl Satan made it her goal to figure out just who Son Gohan was.

The bell rang, and the group made their way towards the exit. Gohan, Lime, Erasa, and Sharpner were engaged in a conversation about their home lives.

"Well, I usually study and do chores at home. Sometimes I play with my brother when my mom needs to take a break from cooking." Gohan stated casually. Erasa looked at him questioningly.

"A break from cooking? Like, how much does your mom cook?" Gohan rubbed the back of his head and smiled awkwardly. The group exited the building and continued down the main street.

"My brother and I eat more than you could believe." Lime nudged him playfully. She turned to Erasa and put her hand up to her own face as if to tell her a secret.

"His mom calls them living black holes with how much they eat. Trust me, I've seen it." Everyone in the group laughed except for Videl, who had been walking along with them, scrutinizing Gohan each step. During their gym class, Gohan had put on the weighted clothing and worked out alongside them. While she and many other students were struggling, Gohan hadn't broken a sweat. As the day continued, she had compiled a list in her head of things that she wanted to find out.

Who is Son Gohan?

What does he have against my father?

Where is his father?

And, most recently,

Why is he so damn nice to everyone?

She kept walking along with them. Gohan began cracking jokes, and Sharpner and Erasa doubled over laughing. Lime just looked like she had heard the jokes too many times before. Once they regained their composure, Sharpner put a hand on Gohan's shoulder and smiled at him..

"You know brains, I never expected a bookworm like you to be so damn cool. You sure you don't have any more friends?" Gohan shook his head.

"Nope, just Lime," he said, shaking Lime gently. Sharpner held his hand out.

"I'm sorry for judging you so soon." Gohan grasped it firmly and shook.

"It's fine, dude."

Videl had grown tired of listening and spoke up.

"So, Gohan, where do you live?"

"Where do you live?" Videl suddenly asked. She was staring right at Gohan.

"Uh..." 'Crap, what do I tell her? I can't tell her that I live in the 439 Mountain Area, that's a couple hours in a copter. Well, West City is only 20 minutes away...'

"Well, my family home is in the 439 East Mountain Area, but we have a place and West City, so that's where I'm staying for the year." He tried to put on his best poker face. It wasn't entirely a lie. His family did have a wing in the Capsule Corp. building.

Videl scanned him with her eyes, until she eventually nodded, looking satisfied. She turned to Lime.

"So how about you? You said you've been with Gohan for most of your life. Where do you live?" Lime panicked and looked to Gohan for help.

"She's got a room in my apartment." A bead of sweat rolled down his neck. That one was a full lie. Videl raised an eyebrow and looked back and forth between the two. Lime smiled and nodded stiffly. She sighed.

"Well, I guess that makes sense," she lied. Erasa looked at both of the new students for a different reason entirely.

"Ooooh, so you two got a whole apartment to yourselves? Are you... you know?"

"Erasa!" Everyone exclaimed. Lime and Gohan blushed furiously.

"I'm kidding! You two just look so cute together!"

"Well, I think we better get home," Gohan said.

"What are you doing that you need to leave so urgently?" Videl inquired.

"We need to, uh, unpack! We just got here yesterday and there are boxes everywhere." Lime nodded along with him.

"Yeah, I haven't even gotten out my clothes for tomorrow." The two began to walk away, waving back at their new... friends.

"Okay then! See you two!" Erasa called out, waving goodbye. Videl stood there, and watched them walk down the street.
