Betrayal-2
"Where did I go wrong with raising him?" All Might asked, sitting in his hospital bed.
It had been little over a week since he had been admitted, and it didn't help that his condition from his battle five years ago, had been worsened when his son struck him, and when he forced himself to go past his time limit. Midoriya had been taken home after three days of recovery, and was given a prescription for anti-biotics to heal the damage Recovery Girl's quirk couldn't heal during her visit.
"You didn't do anything wrong with raising the boy Toshi. Where you went wrong, is you jumped the gun, and assumed he would be selective about the people he saves if he were to inherit One-for-All." Gran-Torino exclaimed sitting beside All Might's bed, beside a younger looking man, with black hair, dressed in a white shirt, dress pants, a tie, and a badge pinned through the left pectoral of his shirt. This is Naomasa Tsukauchi. "You just made an assumption about him, you didn't stop to talk to him about it, before breaking your promise you made nine years ago."
"But he didn't go in to help his classmate." All Might argued.
"Did you stop to think, that maybe because he knew, he would get killed because you had already reached your daily limit of hero time, not to mention he probably didn't expect you to push yourself the way you did when you saved Izuku Midoriya?" Naomasa asked. "Toshi, for nine long years, you've supported his dreams, encouraged him to do his best at following the law, all while he hid the pain of being bullied for being Quirkless, then making a promise to him that you went back on. Imagine how he felt, when he heard you telling Izuku Midoriya, that you chose him to inherit One-for-All, instead of your own son."
"He was heartbroken. I could see it in his eyes when he was beating on Midoriya and me, tears were streaming down his face." All Might sighed.
"Let me ask you boy." Gran-Torino exclaimed. "Was he crying because he was beating on you, or was he crying because you broke his heart by breaking your promise?"
All Might didn't look at Gran-Torino. His focus was on the empty space of the blanket, curving down between his legs.
"You made a promise to him when he was six years old, an age where a child, looks up to their parents like they're the most amazing people in the world, no matter what they've done." Naomasa exclaimed. "Hearing you break that promise, to him, it must have been the same as you taking a knife, and stabbing him in the heart."
"I know you're both right. I did over react, and I did make the choice to give young Midoriya One-for-All, without asking him what he truly meant when he said what he said." All Might sighed. "Thankfully Young Midoriya understood why he was angry, and convinced his mother not to press charges. When I find him, I'll talk with my son, and I'll try to settle things the normal way."
"All Might, that might be kinda hard." Naomasa said looking at a message he got on his phone, before turning on the television in the hospital room. "Look. He might not leave the authorities much choice, but to brand him a villain after this."
The television flicked on, and All Might's eyes widened at what he saw. Sitting there on the screen, was a headshot of Connor, his Sclera black, and his pupil's red. His black hair was slick and combed down.
"Connor?" All Might asked.
"People of the world. Hear me." Connor stated, starting up the transmission.
"This broadcast is on every channel, all over the world, in every language, without any way to trace it. Even I-Island is receiving it." Naomasa exclaimed. "It's on every device imaginable with a screen."
"My name is unimportant. Those of you who recognize me, know me as the son of the #1Hero All Might. As you can see, I've gone through some… changes." Connor exclaimed. "I'm here today, to tell you all a truth. A truth I feel you all have the right to know. A truth that has been hidden from you all for so many, many years."
"No, he wouldn't…" All Might gasped.
"The hero you all know as All Might, is nothing but a fraud." Connor stated bluntly. "His power is not his own. The power he wields is one that can be passed down, from one generation of hero, to another. The name is his power, is One-for-All."
"Connor, what are you doing?" Gran-Torino questioned.
"Now you may be asking, how do I know this? The answer is simple. I was to be the next to inherit One-for-All." Connor said, before the image on the screen changed, to one of Izuku Midoriya. "However, All Might is a liar, who breaks his promises, like they never even existed. Instead of letting me inherit the power like he promised, so many years ago, he chose Izuku Midoriya, to be the one to inherit the power."
"Connor, please stop. You're painting a target on both mine and young Midoriya's backs." All Might pleaded at the television.
"I think that may be his goal." Tsukauchi exclaimed.
"Now some of you may be wondering, how such a power, like One-for-All, can possibly exist." Connor exclaimed as the image changed to an image of the early days when Quirks began appearing. "Around the time the world began to experience Quirks, there was a man, whose Quirk, allowed him to steal the Quirks of others, and transfer them to someone else. It wasn't long till he had the country eating from the palm of his hand, and he started going by the name of his Quirk. All-for-One."
"Connor, please stop." All Might pleaded, clutching his head.
"All-for-One, had a younger brother, one who was supposedly Quirkless, so being the ever loving big brother he was, All-for-One bestowed his brother with a simple strength enhancing/stockpiling Quirk. But what he didn't know, was that his brother did have a quirk, similar to his own. With the addition of the power his older brother gave him, the two quirks merged, and mutated, turning into One-for-All." Connor explained. "Thus, the power that could be transferred from host-to-host, was created, and passed on from hero to hero, finally reaching, All Might."
The screen changed, and All Might's eyes widened in horror, as it was a picture of his true form, with two more pictures beside it, one on the other. The one on top being his injury, and the one on the bottom, being of him when he first received the injury.
"All Might isn't as indestructible as you think. Five years ago, he sustained an injury that left him incapable of doing more, than three hours of heroing a day. He only has half his stomach, and his respiratory system is shot. He's weak, and he's got a limit. I say this to all villains who are listening, take advantage of that. I promised All Might that I would end him, the same way, Nana Shimura, the heroine who possessed One-for-All before All Might, was ended, and unlike him. I keep my promises. You all think of All Might as some god, then you can call me Godslayer. This is what happens, when you destroy someone's dreams, All Might. Your sins are coming back to haunt you." Connor stated, the screen returning to his headshot, revealing the tears flowing down his face. "I'm coming for you, you can stop all this though. All you have to do, is give me, what you promised nine years ago, and I'll back down on my promise to end your life."
With that the screen went dark, before going back to its original program.
"Connor. What have you done?" All Might asked in shock.
"This isn't good Toshinori. Now every single villain in the world knows you have a time limit." Gran-Torino stated.
"There's been an A.P.B sent out for Godslayer's capture. Things aren't looking up from here on." Naomasa exclaimed, looking at his phone. "I'm sorry Toshi, but he's left us with no choice but to arrest him on sight."
"Tsukauchi, please tell me you have some sort of progress on the investigation involving the boy from the slime villain incident." All Might said.
"His name is Katsuki Bakugo, his teachers say he's the picture perfect image of a well behaved student, but his classmates all say the same thing, he's a bully who uses his Quirk to beat up Midoriya and Connor, like he's putting them in their place." Tsukauchi said.
"Then do your job." All Might said. "An' arrest him on charges of villainy."
~Undisclosed Location: Connor's POV
"I'm surprised at you my boy. Was it really wise to call out All Might like that and basically declare war on him?" All-for-One asked me.
"If he's too busy worried about training Deku, and trying to keep the both of them from becoming targets, he'll get sloppy, the people will start to lose faith in him, and he'll no longer be the Symbol of Peace that he claims to be." I explained.
"I see. That is quite the strategic tactic." All-for-One said.
"Thanks again by the way. For using that genetics altering Quirk to change my looks. I think this suits me much better than my old looks did." I said making some alterations to my costume. "Would you be opposed to me borrowing Kurogiri for a while?"
"Whatever for?" All-for-One questioned. "Your Villainy Debut isn't for quite some time."
"Oh nothing special, I just want to do something to prove the people's trust in All Might is misplaced." I smiled.
"By doing what exactly?" He questioned.
"Robbing a few banks of all their money, while not getting caught doing it." I said. "I've already got the vaults and locations planned out."
"An' how do you plan on not getting caught?" All-for-One inquired.
"With this little device right here." I said, holding up a coin sized disk. "If I set off one of these inside the vault while it's closed, then the security cameras will shut down for five minutes, more than enough time for Kurogiri to warp all the cash in the vault to the special storage unit I have prepared."
"I see, an' where do you plan on making your base of operations, my apprentice?" All-for-One questioned.
"Well, that all depends on one thing really." I stated. "Did anyone get that information on Shie Hassaikai for me?"
"Right here." A bald doctor with a pair of spectacles and a mustache said, handing me a camcorder with footage on it. "The young man wearing the plague mask is Overhaul, that's the name of his Quirk anyways. He's currently the young head of the Hassaikai, and he's experimenting on a child to try and mimic All-for-One's power of taking Quirks away, by turning her body into a Quirk destroying drug and bullets."
"On a child?" I asked.
"Yes."
"Master." I called to All-for-One. "Can you give me his Quirk?" I asked.
"Whatever for?" All-for-One questioned me.
"If he's trying to create a world where Quirks no longer exist, then I don't really see how it's fair for him to have a Quirk." I stated.
"I see." All-for-One exclaimed. "Doctor, do you have a location on him at the moment?"
"Currently, he's out running an errand in the shopping distract." The doctor said.
All-for-One flipped on a television, showing it was a two way communications device, and used for more than just watching television.
"Kurogiri. I want you to bring me someone." All-for-One said with a smile on his face.
~Bakugo House: 3rd Person POV
"What the hell is going on here?" Mitsuki Bakugo questioned as the police came in.
"Ma'am, we have a warrant to search your house, and arrest your son, on charges of villainy. He's been illegally using his Quirk to put his classmates under his feet, and even assaulting them with it." Tsukauchi exclaimed.
"Why are the police coming and arresting my son on a bunch of rumors?" Mitsuki questioned.
"Mrs. Bakugo we have eyewitness reports and testimonies that backup these claims. His constant bullying and abuse was what also drove Connor Yagi, to break from the edge."
"WHAT THE HELL? GET YOUR FUCKING HANDS OFF ME YOU COWARDS." Bakugo shouted as he was dragged out of his room in handcuffs.
"Katsuki, have you really been using your Quirk against your fellow classmates?" Mitsuki asked.
"So what if I have? They all need to learn their place under my boot, as I'm the best, and I'll be the next #1Hero, better than All Might." Katsuki exclaimed.
Mitsuki just stared at him in anger and disgust before she turned away heading for the kitchen.
"Do your job officer. An' take that villain away." Mitsuki said, sounding broken and hurt.
"Katsuki Bakugo, you're under arrest for the crimes of villainy, and using your Quirk against civilians. Anything you say, can and will be used against you in the court of law." Tsukauchi said, reading him his rights.
Katsuki looked like someone had just slapped him in the face with one of All Might's Detroit Smash's.
"Old hag, do something." Katsuki exclaimed turning to where his mom was in the visibly open kitchen.
Mitsuki remained silent, as she reached into a cupboard, and pulled out an unopened bottle of vodka, before popping the cork and drinking half of it in one go.
"Get him out of my sights detective." Mitsuki said, sounding sloshed.
Tsukauchi nodded his head, before putting his hand on Katsuki's back, and guided him out of the house, and to the waiting police truck, designed to handle villains with Quirks like his.
"Let's hope some jail time will straighten you out." Tsukauchi exclaimed as the doors were shut on Katsuki.
"Fucking hell. I don't deserve this. I'm the future #1Hero for crying out loud." He growled. "I will be the greatest hero. I will prove I'm the strongest. Mark my words."
