Anything that's familiar, isn't mine.

Chapter Two – Returning to Narnia

"You go to St. Finbars."

Susan looked up from the magazine she was reading. A gangly looking boy from a school nearby, stood beside her, staring at her.

"That's right," answered Susan, turning back to her magazine, hoping this boy would just go away.

"I go to Hendon House, across the road. I've seen you. Sitting by yourself," said the boy. Susan frowned slightly, gripping the pages tightly.

"Yes well, I prefer to be left alone," she hinted.

"Me too," he replied quickly, with a little too much enthusiasm. Susan cursed under her breath and rolled her eyes; this boy was starting to get on her nerves. She turned away, hoping to walk away.

"What's your name?" he asked. Susan paused, if she were to give her real name, he could stop bothering now but could potentially come back like a rash.

"Phyllis."

"Susan!" exclaimed Lucy from behind her. Susan didn't know if she felt relief or guilt when Lucy shouted her name. The fallen look of the boy made Susan felt a bit sorry for him.

"You better come quick," said Eliza, catching her breath. The two of them had worried looks that quicken Susan's heart. Without a word, Susan grabbed her bags and ran off with them to the Underground. There was a large crowd around a group of boys who were fighting. Two of them, who Susan recognise as her elder brother and their friend James were losing. Lucy and Eliza continued to weave their way through the crowd while Susan just glared at Peter.

"Edmund!" shouted Lucy, as the boy shot passed them and punch one of the boys holding Peter. With the help of Edmund, the boys fought off their attackers before two soldiers broke up the fight.

"Act your age," spat one of the soldiers before letting go of Peter. The crowd quickly dispersed until it was only the four Pevensies and the two guardians left. The six of them said nothing as they sat down by a nearby bench. The boys each nursing their bruises.

"Your welcome," said Edmund as he dropped his bag and sat next to Peter. Peter jumped up and paced in front of them, licking his split lip.

"I had it sorted," said Peter.

"I swear, this is gonna be the last time I'm jumping in for you," said James as he nursed his aching jaw.

"Are you okay?" asked Eliza. James turned to smile at her but said nothing. He had a large bruise on his left that sat on top of his scar.

"What was it this time?" Susan asked sneeringly as she poured some cold water on her handkerchief and pressed it onto James' cheek.

"He bumped me," answered Peter.

"So, you hit him?" said Lucy, disappointingly.

"No, after he bumped me, he tried to get me to apologize. That's when I hit him."

"Is it really that hard to walk away?" said Susan, turning to James, "and you, why didn't you stop him?!"

"Old habits die hard," answered James, smiling.

"I shouldn't have to walk away," said Peter, harshly, "Don't you ever get tired of being treated like a kid?"

"Uh, we are kids," Edmund said sarcastically.

"Well, I wasn't. It's been a year. How long does he expect us to wait?" Peter said solemnly as he sat back down.

"Patience is a virtue," said Eliza, "We wait for you for a year. We'll go back when we're needed."

"How would we go back? When would we go back?" asked Susan, she always hated talking about Narnia, "I think it's time to accept that we live here now."

"What about Alice and Evan?" said Peter, "They shouldn't be separated with James and Eliza."

Susan didn't say anything, knowing that Peter was right, but she had just grown used to London. Narnia was just a memory for her, memories of a happier time. Susan turned her head and noticed the gangly looking boy from before.

"Oh no," sighed Susan, turning back to her siblings, "Quick, pretend like you're talking to me."

"We are talking to you," replied Edmund, stating the obvious.

"Ow!" shouted Lucy, jumping from her seat.

"Be quiet, Lucy," said Susan quietly, hoping the boy hadn't taken notice of her.

"Something pinched me," said Lucy, pointing to her seat.

"Hey, stop pulling," shouted Peter, standing next to Lucy. James and Eliza felt the tug and pinching sensation but didn't comment on it, it was magic.

"I'm not touching you," said Edmund.

"What is that?" asked Susan, standing up as well. Edmund stood up beside her.

"Stop," said Eliza, "It's magic."

"Quick," said James, holding onto Eliza's and Susan's hand, "Hold hands."

"I'm not holding your hand," said Edmund. Peter ignored him and gripped tightly onto Edmund.

As they stood holding hands, the train rushed past and with it, the bricks of the train station flew away. Every single thing from London vanished until only the six of them were left standing in a cave. Slowly they let go of each other and wandered out of the cave. Outside was a sandy beach with the clearest water that filled the air with a salty mist.

With a smile, Lucy turned to Susan who giggled and ran off towards the water. Lucy laughing gripped onto Eliza's hand and ran after her sister. Peter gave both James and Edmund a shove before running off. They entered the water, splashing each other without a care of the world and all the thoughts of London faded away.

"Where do you suppose we are?" asked Edmund stopping to look at the hill with some castle ruins.

"Where do you think?" laughed Peter, splashing Lucy with some water.

"I don't remember any ruins in Narnia," said Edmund, "Do you?"

The rest of them stopped what they were doing and looked at the ruins. The ruins were somewhat familiar, but it was too far away to see.

"I don't," said James, "Perhaps we've been gone for so long. We could be anywhere in Narnia."

"Well, we won't know where we are unless we go," said Susan, wading back to the beach. The rest of them followed and made their way up.

"I wonder who lived here," said Lucy, looking around at the ruins.

"I think we did," said Susan, picking up a golden chess piece from the grass.

"Hey, that's mine," said Edmund, "It's from my chess set."

"Which chess set?" asked Peter.

"Well I didn't have a solid gold chess set in Finchley, did I?" Edmund asked sarcastically.

"I think I know where we are," said Eliza. Lucy ignored what she said and continued to look around until she spotted a ruined dais with four broken pillars. They didn't seem like pillars though.

"It can't be."

Lucy ran off, towards the ruined dais. She stood in the middle and looked out to the other ruins. She gripped each of her siblings and line them up to one of the broken pillars on the dais.

"Imagine walls and columns over there and glass roof."

"Cair Paravel."
