Asriel POV

I can't let Chara see me, not like this! I tried standing up but couldn't. Instead, I landed on the ground with a loud thud.

"Son of a bitch!"

The footsteps got louder, and louder where it felt like drums in my ears. I haven't been this terrfied ever since I've been attacked by the humans. I tried to crawl but couldn't. I couldn't move that well to begin with. Instinctively I closed my eyes.

"L-Let this this be a dream..."

After that, there were no noises. Everything was silent. The only thing I heard was my own breathing. I lifted my head up slowly and saw the one and only Chara.

Chara looked at me with shock. "Asriel...is that you?"

I tried standing up a second time, getting more used to the feeling of feet and got up, letting Chara have a better view of my face; it was face full of fear yet akward joy. I examined her while no one said anything. No knife, regular clothing, and the face of a 5 year old on christmas. It's safe.

"It's me, your best friend."

I spread out my arms a little after quoting myself and was almost overwhelmed by Chara's hug. It was so strong that I almost fell back, but it felt strange. An odd feeling in myself. It must be a side effect to having a body.

Chara looked at me with an smile on her face, as usual.

"How does it feel not being stuck in a flower?"

I looked at my own hand, making a fist formation before making different hand gestures.

"I don't...know...this new body seems very weird and to be too good to be true..."

Chara thought for a second.

"It must be a side effect from near simultaneous resets. That stupid comedian warned me about an eventual glitch since my last few Genocide runs. This just might be a glitch. Temporary or permanent is left to be unknown."

"Speaking of Genocide routes... will you-"

"Nope, because now something different happened. Also Sans seems to give up more, which makes it less fun."

"Oh. Anyway speaking of Sans we should talk to- OW FUCK!!"

I was struck from behind by a fireball, which launched me into a nearby bush.
