CHARACTER BIO

THE BEARERS OF THE FIVE

Description: The Bearers of the Five encompasses five warriors said to have descended from past heroes throughout the history of Tamriel, such as the Altmer Arch-Mage Meribenya Trenelle Stellaris, said to have descended from Vatasha Trenelle, who helped send Mehrunes Dagon back to Oblivion at the cost of the Battlespire's Destruction. Other members include Francizka Duke, a Breton Knight descended from the Hero of Daggerfall, said to have been a close friend of former Emperor Uriel Septim VII. There is also Dunvar of House Sadras who descended from the Nerevarine, and also Commander Julius Scotti of the Penitus Oculatus, said to have descended from the Champion of Cyrodiil. Finally, there was Gudbrand Stormhowl, who was a descendant of Felldir the Old who said to have "banished" Alduin the World-Eater at the end of the Dragon War, during the Merethic Era. Though Stormhowl leads the group, it was Francizka himself who initially formed it after coming into contact with Dunvar and Julius Scotti sometime after the end of the Great War, both of whom initially shared her interest to be staunch protectors of Tamriel, with Meribenya entering the group much later after word of her heroic deeds in Winterhold spreading and through Francizka, realizing her important lineage and accepting her role as a hero, as her ancestor was.

Despite encountering Delphine with her group sometime during Gudbrand's journey, Francizka decided against her group joining the Blades themselves, as she knew the Blades were actively being hunted down by the Thalmor and instead opted to make her group independent from them, naming her group 'The Bearers of the Five", after their ancestors and their important roles in Tamriel's history as heroes, and them bearing the burden of being the protectors of Tamriel, as Francizka and her group would turn out to be.

1.) THE LAST DRAGONBORN, THE HERO OF SKYRIM, THE DRAGON OF THE NORTH

Name: Gudbrand Stormhowl

Race: Nord

Sex: Male

Birthsign: The Tower

Birthdate: 4E 151

Other Affiliation(s): The Greybeards

Description: As a child, he and his parents lived a generally solitary life in the Jerall Mountains of Cyrodiil, far from the county of Bruma. He was as Nordic as his father was and like a Nord, he had to learn how to fight, especially considering he lived far from the county. He greatly favored the use of a war axe, but he was also knowledgeable in using a bow thanks to his mother and her history of being a hunter. Being born under sign of The Tower, he was keen on sensing the wild beasts that would occasionally intend to prey on his parents and thought that any strike dealt to him was also hurting his attacker. When he came of age, he would spend more years caring for his parents until they eventually died peacefully on their deathbeds. From then on, Gudbrand took on the life of a drifter, travelling across Tamriel for years until he was captured by Imperial Soldiers for illegally crossing the border from Morrowind to Skyrim on the 17th of Last Seed. It was also around this time fate intervened in the form of Alduin the World-Eater himself interrupting his execution at Helgen, and eventually escaping with an imperial legionnaire. Sometime after warning the Jarl of Whiterun of Alduin possibly coming to attack Riverwood, he would assist the Hold in disposing of a different dragon known as Mirmulnir, which was attacking a watchtower. From the dragon's death, he found out he was dragonborn, the moment he witnessed himself absorb the soul of a dragon, despite his will and soon after, at the request of Jarl Balgruuf's words, went on a pilgrimage to High Hrothgar. While on his journey, he would encounter Francizka and Dunvar, who would join him on his pilgrimage and from there, finding out Gudbrand's true purpose: to defeat Alduin and prevent the destruction of the world. In his struggles, he eventually achieved his goal in defeating Alduin and coming to accept his role as the Dragonborn Hero of Skyrim.

2.) THE GRAND DAME, THE BRETON KNIGHT-LADY OF DAGGERFALL,

Description: Francizka was born to a wealthy family in the city of Daggerfall. Her parents expected her to be somewhat spoiled by all the riches she had at her disposal, she instead found no enjoyment in all of it. Instead, she wanted to become a knight and revel in the wonders and plights of being one, and also become a hero herself, being very knowledgeable of the past heroes from Tamriel's history. Problem is, her family had no history of fighting to prepare her in advance. Regardless, she was sent to the Knights of the Dragon as a squire, growing mature over the years until eventually becoming a knight herself. Over the years, she taught herself to use her sword efficiently in combat, and don her plate armor right. She also utilized her own skills as well once she became an independent adventurer, using her ability to get whatever information she wants and woo merchants over to her favor to get what she wanted, and scare off the wicked she looked down on. When she found out her line was important in the history of High Rock and Tamriel as a whole, she would take on a more intense sense of heroism and seek out those who shared the same beliefs. First was Dunvar of House Sadras, then Julius Scotti, before finally encountering Gudbrand Stormhowl in Skyrim, while on a pilgrimage to High Hrothgar, later becoming a whole group assisting the Nord hero in defeating Alduin and coming to recognize him as Dragonborn and leader of Francizka's group, "The Bearers of the Five."

Equipment: Leather Armor, Nightingale Armor (Reserved), Two Dragonbone Daggers, Nightingale Bow, Ebony Arrows, Azura's Star (Reserved), Nightingale Blade (Reserved)

Description: Despite being born to a family of wealthy businessmen unlike House Hlaalu, Dunvar wasn't one to revel in all the riches already at his disposal. Instead, he wanted to take shots at those just as fortunate as he is for looking down on the unfortunate, and those who look down upon the Dunmer people, deeming them inferior. He took to a life of crime, not for his gain, as he could easily access it himself at any time, rather he committed crime to support fellow Dunmer that was a few classes lower than he was, and to mock rich folk who care little for the dangers of boasting about their riches. So when the winds directed him towards the city of Windhelm in Skyrim, he was about to make a name for himself. Upon arriving at the capital of the Eastmarch Hold, Dunvar set out to help out the Dunmer folk of the Gray Quarter that had been a consistent target for discrimination among the Nords simply for not assisting its Jarl in the rebellion. However, this duty would turn out to be a daunting and dangerous one for him to do all alone. He needed a group to help him. The winds once again would direct him into Riften, and there he learned of the Thieves' Guild. While his time trying to join in on the group involved targeting a fellow Dunmer which rubbed Dunvar the wrong way, he'd ultimately set out to put his plan of rising among the ranks of the Thieves' Guild into motion and in the midst, joined Nocturnal's Nightingale Trinity, slaying a betrayer among the guild and rising to become the Guild Master of the Thieves' Guild of Skyrim. With his power, he would go on to control most of Windhelm from under the shadows, away from the watchful eye of Jarl Ulfric. However, they aren't free from rumors and sure enough, his deeds would catch the eyes and ears of Francizka Duke, who insisted Dunvar to join her and he quite so did, as he wanted to help out in any way he can in what was Tamriel's dark days, even if the law considers his methods unlawful.

4.) COMMANDER OF THE PENITUS OCULATUS, THE FORMER GRAND CHAMPION, DESTROYER OF THE DARK BROTHERHOOD

Name: Julius Scotti

Race: Imperial

Sex: Male

Other Affiliation(s): The Imperial City Arena, the Penitus Oculatus

Equipment: Penitus Oculatus Armor, Imperial Sword, Bloodskal Blade (Reserved), Ring of the Eminent Squire, Amulet of Dibella, Targe of the Blooded

Description: At a young age, Julius Scotti was quite a fighter and wanted to prove his worth through the Imperial City's Arena. His "rise to greatness" was hard-fought, but eventually he gained the mantle of The Grand Champion. The Imperial City would recognize him as such for a few years, until the day his challenger, a champion willing to best him, didn't arrive to defeat him. Instead, it was a decoy from the Dark Brotherhood who wanted nothing more than him dead. Though he survived the ordeal, he'd unfortunately lose his title and, after finding out the true champion intended to fight him was found dead, the Imperial City Arena would be left without a champion for awhile. His encounter with the Dark Brotherhood would catch the attention of the then Commander Maro of the Penitus Oculatus, who then enlisted Julius Scotti to join the organization, for a plot to find any signs of the Dark Brotherhood and destroy them. A few years later, they'd track their presence in Skyrim and their hunt for the Dark Brotherhood ended in a bittersweet one. Commander Maro lost his life to one of the Dark Brotherhood's highest members, then considered by the group to be "The Listener." In an act of revenge, both for trying to kill him back at the Imperial City Arena, and for taking Commander Maro's life, Julius struck a huge blow to the Dark Brotherhood, the moment he stabbed the Listener, the last surviving member of the organization, and the Dark Brotherhood would terrorize Tamriel no longer. This deed would catch the ears of Francizka Duke, who by then had recruited Dunvar of the Thieves' Guild, and sooner or later, the Commander would meet the Knight-Lady while still at their station at Dragon Bridge in Skyrim. While he was supportive of Francizka's ideals, he couldn't directly join her, but instead opted to assist her in any other way he can, within the Emperor's agreements. Ultimately, he would be vital to Gudbrand's mission, who had been recognized as Dragonborn by the people of Skyrim. His organization ensured the Dragonborn completed his mission without the Thalmor interfering, and the Blades fulfilling their goal of rebuilding under their original Dragonguard roots just the same without the Thalmor hunting them down.

5.) THE GRAND EVOKER, THE ARCH-MAGE OF WINTERHOLD

Name: Meribenya Trenelle Stellaris

Race: High Elf

Sex: Female

Birthsign: The Lover

Birthdate: 4E 172

Other Affiliation(s): The College of Winterhold

Equipment: Archmage Robes, Staff of Magnus, Ring of Recovery, Amulet of Akatosh, Nettlebane (Reserved)

Description: From birth, Meribenya had a natural gift in magic. And was a rising star among her peers in her hometown of Winterhold. Though the Nords looked down upon her as expected for delving in magic, she cared little, as long as her family and the College was supportive of her. At some point in her life, amid the chaos Dragon Crisis was doing to the world, Winterhold was undergoing its own issue, recovering from the Great Collapse of 122, and with the College somewhat unaffected by the chaos, the Nords pointed fingers towards the college, believing it was responsible for the incident, and Meribenya wanted to change this mindset. Meribenya wanted to bring back the Nordic people's respect for the art of magery, and either through coincidence, or a plan enacted by the Divines, she would have it. The events leading up to her becoming Arch-Mage, from the journey to Saarthal all the way to the battle against a Thalmor agent Ancano, would solidify her status among the college as a hero for staying strong and keeping the college together while Ancano wanted a very powerful artifact for himself. What would really solidify her status as a hero to the people of Winterhold was when a dragon known as Dinokviingfaas attacked the already ruined city and was slain by Meribenya herself. Before long, her deeds would catch the ears of Francizka Duke and recruited Meribenya to fully form "The Bearers of the Five." As Dinokviingfaas was slain by someone not considered dragonborn, there were fears of the dragon possibly coming back and not too long, its appointed leader and Dragonborn Gudbrand Stormhowl absorbed the otherwise dormant soul of the dead dragon, ensuring it doesn't come back from the dead. During Meribenya's life among the Five, she would find out her line's importance to her, as she was the descendant of Vatasha Trenelle from the now lost Battlespire, and came to recognize her duty as a hero among the Bearers of the Five.
