So it took a lil longer than a week but I was figuring out online school so I'll forgive myself this time. This chapter came out a lot longer than the last one and I'm excited to change Ricks story and put my take on it and show my thoughts to y'all. Anyways I forgot to put this on the last chapter but this is owned by Rick Riordian or Disney or whoever I'm making no money off this just borrowing his characters :)

If it's like this it's Percy's internal monologue
Chapter 2
I feel someone shaking me from my slumber. "Woah," I cry. The figure in front of me leaps away and shouts in a familiar way.
"You're always the worst at waking up but there's no need to be aggressive," a familiar voice grumbled
"Grover?" I say instantly awoken by the voice of my lost friend, "Am I dead?"
"Uhh well if you consider Yancy Academy the Underworld then yeah," Grover chuckled.
"What year is it," I ask hoping what I thought happened didn't actually happen.
"It's 2006. You know it's a bit late in the year to be making new year's jokes. Also, today is the day of the field trip so I'd hope you're ok because there's no way I'm going alone."
I sit up and look at my hands. I don't have all of the calluses I fought to earn, there wasn't the aura of power I felt from Achilles curse. I look at Grover and said casually, "I have a feeling today is going to be different."
Grover left me to get dressed, so I have time to think about my situation I'm in right now. Is Luke aware of our timeline; what about Hestia; what about Kronos? I have too much anxious energy I whisper to myself. What I always used to do at Yancy was take my pillow and pretend it was Ugly Gabe's face and I'd bash it in, I think that'd be a great release only this time it was Annabeth I focused on.
Once my pillow is nothing more than a piece of fabric with a hole in the middle I start getting dressed and think about the situation I've found myself in. So I've managed to go back in time to the day all of this began. Luke must've taken control of Kronos and used his powers against him. I guess all I can do now is make sure no one dies, but I can't tell anyone or else I'll be killed by the Gods. I'm sure they would hate it if I the hero who they think has the potential to destroy Olympus knows the future. But I can't keep this a secret forever, I'll talk to my mom once I get home from this second hell. While I'm at it though I'll just go ahead and fuck up Nancy Bobfit, not like anyone is going to miss her. I finish getting dressed and step out into the hallway.
"Geez, that took you a while." He snorts
"Well I'm sorry, it's hard with all the paparazzi looking through our window to get a glimpse of my perfectly sculpted body," I chuckle while feigning a tired sigh.
"I call bullshit we don't have a window and the only attention you draw is from skunks," Grover countered turning to walk to the bus already.
We make it out to the bus just before they pulled away. We sat down in the seat right behind Nancy, I don't pay attention to the demon at the front of the bus lecturing us that we better behave. "And if we don't?" I ask as faux politely as I can.
"Well, I can make sure you feel a lot of pain for a long time in you're next detention tonight after the field trip," She said with a smile that could turn Medusa to stone.
"But of course we wouldn't do anything like that," Grover spoke out. Then through gritted teeth, to me, "Right?"
"Oh yeah, nothing that isn't deserved" I grin devilishly.
The bus starts moving and the children start to pick up their conversations where they had been so rudely interrupted by our lovely devil teacher. As soon as she turned her head the other less literal demon popped up in her seat and turned around to face us, "Man I sure do hope you don't happen to mess up on this trip. I think I heard Mrs. Dodds saying you were on your last strike and that she was going to get back what you stole or else you would get kicked out of the school"
I reel back I guess the Furies were dropping hints much earlier than I ever realized, "Well it'd be nice to get away from you, so maybe I should use my last straw right now to make your face even more deformed than it already is."
"Percy calm down, please. This isn't worth it," Grover said in a tone that said he meant business.
"You're lucky Nancy it's almost like you have someone protecting you from people who are out to get you," I whispered to her. Grover was absentmindedly looking out the window having just put his headphones in.
We finally made it to the museum, everyone got out of the bus and were allowed to look around the museum for two hours. I headed straight for the section about the minor gods and goddesses. I respected them even after some of them betrayed Olympus. They had to put up with a lot of bullshit that the big heads of the big 12 couldn't be bothered to care about. I quickly whispered a blessing to the minor gods that would go to them but wouldn't give away that I knew I was praying to them. I moved along to a sculpture of Hestia. If there was any Immortal I could fully trust it would have to be Hestia. I quickly prayed to her and to send me a sign if she knew what happened and if she didn't, forget this ever happened.
Grover came up to my side and looked at the statue, "Who is your favorite god or goddess?"
"While other gods are cool like Posideon is the god of the entire sea or Hades is the God of the fucking underworld, like how badass is that. But my favorite I'd have to say would be Hestia."
"Why Hestia, she doesn't do much?" Grover asked confused.
"Well, I just imagine her as the Goddess of the hearth as the kindest and the Goddess you can always turn to when you lost everything." When I said that I felt a rush of what I can only describe as pure love. Not the love that you feel around Aphrodite. I knew that Hestia remembered and I feel just a lot better in general in addition to the relief of being able to talk to someone other than my own thoughts eventually.
Grover looked kinda shocked, "Well that's deeper than I thought you would ever go."
"Anyways," I say kindly "Who is your favorite God or Goddess?"
"Well because I'm so worried about the environment and the earth and such things my favorite God would be the almighty Pan," Grover said wistfully.
"Yeah, that makes sense he has to be a super important God. With the earth being the whole thing we're living on."
Grover looked away sadly "Well if only he was real so he could save the planet, the way things are going we need godly intervention."
I think for a second on what to say, "Well, I don't think you need the help of a god. If you're really that focused on it try to make like a social change for the better."
"Yeah," Grover forced out.
"Well we should probably get back to the group," I say turning to walk to Mr. Brunner.
"Yeah yeah go ahead I'll be right with you," Grover replied automatically.
I go through the day just like I had last time only this time I knew the answers Mr. Brunner was asking me. But I answered them incorrectly so I wouldn't mess up this timeline so early on. But I did have plans to try and convince Mrs. Dodds that I wasn't the lightning thief. We were currently eating lunch and Grover was pacing back and forth. I'm sitting eating my lunch thinking things through when Nancy came over and tripped Grover.
"Hey!" I shout at Nancy, "You should really get a better attitude or I might just snap."
"Hah, what're you gonna do you couldn't beat your own dad in a fight and he's dead," she sneered
"Oh, you just fucked up big time," I chuckle "You don't know who you're messing with little girl."
A circle forms around us quickly as Nancy's face assumes the color of my strawberry jam. "I'm going to pulverize you, you slimy piece of kelp."
I chuckle at Nancy and stand up from the rock I was sitting on. Nancy makes the first move and swings her arm at me. I easily step back and avoid it. I consider how badly I want to hurt her. I think I'll just leave her with a concussion but not a broken jaw. "Hey maybe you should protect your face it'd be a shame if you had a bruise on the right side of your jaw," I say through gritted teeth. Then in an innocent tone while avoiding a kick to my golden apples, "Well actually you know I'm a righty so I'd be hitting the left side of your face if I were to hit you with an uppercut from my right hand."
"All you need to worry about right now is how dead you're going to be in a minute. Do you think your mom will still love you if you get expelled again?" She asked maliciously before sending a weak punch to my stomach that I easily knock out of the way.
"Oh, now you're just asking for it. Well just don't say I didn't warn you." I am grinning now it's been my dream to knock some sense into this bully. I do exactly as I detailed before, an uppercut from my right hand straight to her jaw. She didn't have a chance to move her head, my fist struck true. She dropped like a stone. "Holy shit that felt good to finally get out of my system," I monologue to no one in particular. The crowd that had formed around us was going crazy, it truly wasn't every day you see someone get knocked out like a UFC fight.
"What have you done now Perseus?" Mrs. Dodds hissed, "Follow me, you insolent child."
Mr. Brunner called out to me and tossed me a pen, "Don't forget to take notes," he said with one of his signature winks.
I catch the pen now feeling a lot safer with my trusty weapon at my side, "Hey Grover I'll be right back." He doesn't even lift his head, he's just deep in thought not aware of the outside world at all.
I follow the Fury to the same room as she led me to last time. "I guess I'm sorry for giving Nancy what she deserved," I shrug.
"You know that isn't what this is about," Mrs. Dodds hissed as if she were something other than human.
"What is it about then, the fact that I failed the last test? That should be expected I haven't passed one this whole year." I suggest.
"Return what you stole and no one has to get hurt." she screeched. Her skin was becoming more and more leathery.
"I didn't steal anything that would be this important," I say more seriously to try to calm her down and have a conversation with her.
"Who else would take it then who would try to start a war?"
Wow, she's already being a lot more reasonable, "I really have no idea what you're talking about. Just explain what I supposedly stole maybe I can help you find it." I try to reasonably explain.
"Perseus Jackson you must either swear on your life or pay with your life." The fully transformed Fury said looking hardly diplomatic.
"Well, that's an easy promise. I pinky promise I didn't steal anything worth killing me for, there easy as that." I confidently reassured.
Mrs. Dodds was taken aback at my response, "I'm going to bring you to my master and he'll decide what to do with you,"
"Umm do I get any choice in the matter?" I ask dumbfounded. I hear the door open and right as I turn around Mrs. Dodds must've charged at me because Grover opened the door and promptly fainted right before I felt a firey pain resembling what I imagine getting bitten by a pirana is like. It wrapped around my neck like a noose, then she yanks the whip and I felt my body travel insanely fast to another place. It didn't feel like I died, at least I hope I didn't.
I land on the ground roughly and stay on the ground for a couple seconds before my abomination of a math teacher picked my up by my foot in the process of being dragged upside down by my surprisingly strong kidnapper I saw her walls littered with torture device blueprints meticulously planned out using what I can only guess is witchcraft.
As we approach I think to myself of how actually dangerous of a situation I was in I was going to meet the God who thinks I'm trying to start a war by stealing his Helm of Darkness and his brothers Lightning Bolt. We, well Mrs. Dodds with my ragdoll-esque body being dragged along, arrived at the Lord of the Underworld's doors. I am dropped to the floor and quickly pick myself up and try to make myself look somewhat presentable before the doors open with grandeur.
Hades was sitting upon his throne of bones looking at me very intrigued. "Alecto you may leave now," she stood up nodded and left the room. "So demigod, is it true that you agreed to come before me and tell me to my face you didn't steal my most prized possession," A plant snaked its way into the room from outside and slapped Hades across the face. "Yes yes dear of course," He seemed to speak to the air, "Of course my beautiful and lovely wife is more prized than all else." He returned to a serious tone quickly, "But how will you prove you had nothing to do with the disappearances?"
A voice I recognized spoke up in a comforting manner, "I think I can help explain this whole mess."
"Hestia!" I run over to my favorite goddess and give her a hug, "You remember everything right?"
"Yes my young hero, I remember. But we must not disrespect Lord Hades." She chided
"Oh yeah sorry Lord Hades." I quickly apologize.
"What in the Styx is going on here!" Hades shouted sounding more confused than angry.
"Young Percy I know we can trust Hades with our little secret and I'm sure we can find a way to get him his Helm back," Hestia admitted to me.
"Ok, Hestia I trust your judgment. Hopefully, he doesn't hate me this time."
Then Hestia told the story of the alternate timeline or future or whatever happened. I'll have to have a talk with her and Luke who I'm guessing remembers. But obviously Hades and Grover didn't have a clue as to what was happening so I think this all but confirms that just Hestia, Luke, and I have any recollection of what happened at the end of the war.
"And that's how Percy here ended up down here, right Percy?" Hestia said looking at me like she caught me daydreaming. Which I guess she did, "Uhhhh yeah that's exactly how it happened."
Hestia chuckled and turned back to Hades who seemed deep in thought. "I think you see, Hades, why we need you to keep this a secret."
"What if my brothers? What will you say of this to them?" Hades asked suspiciously.
"Both of your brothers are far too pompous, you're more calculating and have much more strategy hardwired into you. Do you agree Percy?"
"Yeah if I'm being honest my dad will probably try to use my power to get me to help him topple Zeus as the King of Gods, and I'd have to be an actual brainlet or suicidal to tell Zeus."
"Ok so what do you want me to do then?" Hades questioned clearly uncomfortable with the trust we put into him.
"Just help me out as inconspicuously as you can. For at least the first quest I'll try to stick to the way it went last time so we can plan out how we want this timeline to go." I state confidently so Hades respects me more. "Something else I wanted to do on the first quest was getting Nico and Bianca and send them to you to train for a little while so they as children of the not necessarily most liked god can fend for themselves."
"I think that's a fantastic idea. I appreciate you telling me this. I will think over ways to help you save Olympus."
"Thank you for not killing me Hades. I look forward to seeing you before the summer solstice or earlier," I reply, feeling very happy and excited to get started with saving the world.
"I must also leave but I'll see you the next time you are around a hearth. Goodbye, my hero."
