Dr Who: The Substance Part 2
Int. Control Room
P.A: Warning unauthorized biological forms, detected at. Sector C-6 labs.
Sakura: Unauthorized again?
Ella: Sir something is in the comlink.
Stephen: Put it through let's see what's going on.
(The monitor plays the sound of a monster growling)
Int. Lab
Earlier...
(The Doctor and Pete keep examining the microscope)
Doctor: Still unsure of how a Teton got on this planet.
Pete: I theorized that they came here on a crash space ship.
Doctor: Of course.
(The lights start to flicker)
Pete: Oh come on 500th time in a row.
Doctor: What?
Pete: Our lights keep flicker and some computers go off, we think it has something to do with the wires, Captain Stephen will fix it.
(Suddenly Donald takes off his hazmat starts to vomit a green substance)
Pete: Jesus, Donald whats going on.
Doctor: Wait *sniff* he's vomiting blood.
Pete: Blood, why is it green.
Doctor: It's oxygen has been taken away and. It's D.N.A has been reshaped?
Donald: Whats happening to me?
Pete: What do we do?!
Doctor: Don't touch him, it's already too late.
(Donald's eyes turn blue then red then green, his skin then starts to ooze out the same foam)
Pete: It's the foam, it's reproducing.
Doctor: It's also doing some else to him.
(Donald's whole body is the covered in foam and then it deflates, suddenly instead of staying a foam liquid, it gains mass)
Doctor: Pete, open the door.
(Pete runs to the door and opens the zipper, the foam becomes humanoid and growls. The Doctor runs off with Pete as the foam creature chases them. They go to the decontamination chamber as the creature pounds on the door. The second door opens and they run to the glass door. Pete opens the glass door, when the Doctor gets out, Pete quickly closes the door, the creature tries to push the door open it's foam skin getting all over the glass door, but they Doctor and Pete keep the door closed with their weight, Pete presses a button which locks the door)
Pete: What happened to Donald?
Doctor: Thats not Donald anymore, the real Donald must've been absorbed by the foam.
Pete: Lets get out of here, that glass door isn't going to last much longer.
(Pete and the Doctor exit the room, closing and locking the door behind them)
Int. Lab
(The Doctor and Pete exit, Joe comes towards the Doctor)
Joe: Doctor, what happened? we got a transmission of... some sort of monster.
Doctor: It's okay Joe.
Pete: Everyone I have some bad news, Donald has been KIA.
Stephen: Jesus, how?
Doctor: A foam substance, coming from an alien skull.
Elle: Alien origin? No life could possibly be here
Doctor: Unless it crash landed here hundreds or even thousands of years ago.
Pete: We identified it as Tetons, we believe it might be not only eating us but reproduce through carbon and oxygen.
(Jack goes to Stephen)
Jack: Captain you know what this means lvl.5 evacuation.
Stephen: You think I'm an idiot, of course we do. Alright everyone we must enter a lvl.5 evaluation.
(Everyone packs up their research stuff and whatever else you need)
Sakura: Captain the Doctor and I think it's a bad idea to evacuate at this moment.
Stephen: Why?
Doctor: Check the scans.
(Stephen checks the cameras to see the evacuation ship is offline)
Stephen: What!
Sakura: The engines are offline. Sure they may be full of fuel but without the engines being online, we're sitting ducks.
Doctor: Something on this planet is causing a electro magnetic disturbance.
(Jack checks the computers)
Jack: I think you're ship theory is right. Seems some sort of temporal emp is being transmitted.
(A loud smash is heard)
William: Captain, looks like the foam creature broke out.
Jack: Seal off sector C-4 to C-6.
(William presses a button, an alarm goes off and the creatures distant growls are silenced)
Stephen: Okay, Sakura go find that transmission.
Doctor: Joe you need to do me a favor, go with Sakura.
Joe: Why?
Doctor: It's much safer out there than here.
Joe: But what about you.
Doctor: I'll be fine.
(The Doctor smiles)
Joe: You better be.
Sakura: Come on Joe.
(They run off to the hallway)
Pete: Be careful Sakura.
Sakura: I will.
(Pete seals the door shut)
Pete: Let's hope they make it.
Doctor: Oh course.
Elle: Oh course what?
Doctor: These creatures eat the reshaped D.N.A of a person. That explains why Donald coughed out green blood.
Jack: How does that help.
Doctor: The creature assimilate the D.N.A and copied it, using the copied D.N.A to become humanoid. It means it's entire body is foam.
Jack: Uh huh.
Doctor: How do you sterilize bacteria?
Pete: That's a great idea.
Jack: What, how?
Doctor: Three ways, alcohol/soap, fire and cold. So I'm going to make a liquid nitrogen gun.
Jack: Wouldn't a fire extinguisher be useful.
Doctor: Yes and no, it is cold, but inside is carbon. And I'm pretty sure if normal cold was there weakness, they'd be dead already. So liquid nitrogen is our best option.
Stephen: Where are we going to get liquid nitrogen? The lab is blocked.
Doctor: Ha! find it, no we're going to make some. I just need to build a compressor.
(The Doctor takes out wires and pounds together two pieces of metal with a hammer)
Ext. Ice Landscape - Night
(Sakura and Joe exit the base with suits on Sakura closes the door behind them and they begin to walk across the ice and snow)
Sakura: The signal is coming from there.
Joe: Okay.
Int. Control Room
(The Doctor has a half built device with wires sticking out, Pete looks at the monitor of Sakura worries)
Doctor: Worried?
Pete: Yes, she was a close friend.
Doctor: How long have you been working with each other.
Pete: About two years, ha. You know that's 2 birthdays I missed, mom might be missing them.
Doctor: I think you have a deeper connection with Sakura.
Pete: What no. It's a professional friendship, we might worry each other. We might spend time in our free time. She might blush-
(Pete puts his hands on his face)
Pete: Oh no we are lovers
Doctor: It's nothing to be a shamed of, all lifeforms have love, except the things that aren't living.
Pete: You had love before?
Doctor: Yes multiple, and I have a family. Love comes in many forms, biological love which is family, or un-biological love which is friends, girlfriends, ext.
Pete: Where is your family?
(The Doctor smiles but it slowly fades away)
Voice: Grandfather I belong with you. Grandfather!
Doctor: They umm, they're at a different planet.
Pete: Cool.
(Suddenly there is a loud bang, Jack looks at the monitor)
Jack: It broke through the two doors, crap it's coming to the control room!
Doctor: Almost. Done.
(The Doctor activates the machine and it begins to shake. William looks at the window to see if the monster is there, he turns around to face Pete and The Doctor)
William: Nothing here
Jack: No, get away from the window
(The foam creature smashes through the mini window on the metal door and grabs William. Elle screams. Williams eyes change color and he vomits green blood. The creature then pulls him outside the door through the smashed window)
William: Ahhhhh!!! Ahhhhhh!!!
Elle: We gotta help him!
(Elle tries to open the door)
Stephen: No, you idiot!
Doctor: It's done.
(The Doctor tosses Stephen a canister of liquid nitrogen. The creature breaks through the door, but before it can get anyone, The Doctor and Stephen spray the creature with the nitrogen, it begins to scream)
Stephen: RUN!!!!
(Everyone leaves except The Doctor and Stephen still spraying the creature, but they stop spraying and run away. As they run two more creatures appear chasing after them)
Stephen: We're going to going to die!!!
Doctor: Actually, we'll become like them.
Stephen: That makes it worse!!!
Doctor: It wasn't suppose to reassure you.
Int. Storage Room
(They both enter a room and lock the door behind them. The creature bangs the door)
Stephen: Any ideas we're stuck in a tiny storage room, with no other way out out.
(As they walk back, they hit a object. They turn around and see the Tardis)
Doctor: We're going to be fine.
Stephen: Is that the IDBTED ship?
Doctor: Yes.
(They enter the Tardis)
Int. Tardis/type 40
(The Doctor goes to the console, clicking a switch, the door behind them locks)
Stephen: We're safe here, right?
Doctor: Yes, nothing can get in the Tardis.
Stephen: Can we get out of here with your ship?
Doctor: I could teleport to the rooms but that would mean to get coordinates and that would waste a lot of time causing more deaths.
Stephen: Then what do we do?
Doctor: We hide.
(The Doctor then twists a switch which makes the Tardis cloaked)
Doctor: Now we wait for Joe and Sakura
Ext. Ice Landscape - Night
(They walk further and further until they reach the location)
Joe: It should be under here.
(Together they dig into the snow and ice until they hit a piece of metal with a handle for the trap door. Joe opens the hatch and they both look down a long deep hole with latter in the side)
Sakura: Well down to hell we go
(They both, climb down the latter one at a time)
