Soon, the speeder was whizzing over the Unfinished Colossus and skidded to a stop, running over an anrgy anti-Imperial resistance fighter as it did so. "Okay, hop off and head to the foot of the statue. Last time I checked, that's where most of the weird Sith artefacts around here are," Aayla told Avrria.
"Got it," The young Sith nodded, "You coming?"
The Agent shook her head regretfully, "Nah, I've got work to catch up on," She told her.
Sinya jumped down from the speeder though, "I'll join you. Keeps a good distance between me and Lord Creepalot," She commented.
Avrria climbed down as well, drew her weapon cautiously and hurried off in the direction Aayla had encouraged her to.
The Agent watched the two women disappear into the distance before she sped away again. She hadn't been entirely honest with Avie. It wasn't assigned work for Imperial Intelligence that she was going to do. She wanted to get just a little more information on the Sith that her young relative was working for...
So, while Avrria charged through camps of resistance fighters and rogue Imperial slaves in search of her missing Holocron, Aayla made her way back to the Citadel. She went to her office in the Imperial Intelligence Headquarters first. True, she could spy on the man in person, but it was so much easier to go through his records from the comfort of her office.
Besides, even if the official records came up with nothing, she could just hack into other, more carefully hidden records. Cipher Nine had many, many ways of finding out what she wanted to know.
All she knew so far was that Sholkaar was some fairly low level Lord with a penchant for creepy Sith 'science' and weird experiments. But what she wanted to know was exactly what he wanted with his new apprentice, to whom she was quite attached.
So she loaded up her computer to take a look.
Meanwhile, Avrria reached the foot of the Colossus. She had sliced her way through quite a number of people who had sought to stop her, testing the lightsaber she had recently taken posession of. Sinya had had fun as well. On the fleet they had stopped off on when they were travelling to Dromund Kaas, Avie, not wanting her companion to be defenseless, had bought her a weapon. It was a cannon, by the Twi'lek's own request, and she was in love with it.
But now, the murder and mayhem was over. No one else stood in their way. So, the Sith just had to look around to find the artefact that had been described to her.
It was a Holocron of some sort, that much she could remember, despite Aayla's best efforts to distract her during the meeting. She investigated some hidden corners. Most held nothing, but one held a small, red pryamid.
She grabbed it and inspected it. "Got it!" She cheered.
"Well... I guess it's back to the creepy Sith place then," Sinya commented reluctantly.
"Yeah, but let's go the long way around and cause some more chaos," Avrria suggested with a grin. The trouble-causing and killing was making the drizzle of Dromund Kaas more bearable, and she knew Sinya was enjoying blowing things up with her new cannon.
While they were making their way back, Aayla was getting into her research. She had found Imperial Intelligence's file for Sholkaar and was a little surprised to find he was on a watchlist. Apparently, he had been an associate of the rogue Sith Lord Grathan, before Grathan had 'officially' betrayed the Empire, but still at a time that meant he was suspect.
Aayla knew that was a bad sign. She hoped it wouldn't make Avrria suspect as well. But given that the man was blacklisted once, she decided more digging was needed. There was probably other stuff to discover too...
An alarm going off in her office interrupted that thought though. Her head shot up. Something far more important had just come up.
The cake was ready. She jumped up and hurried to her kitchen, hastily pulling it out the oven. Then she checked her watch. Hopefully she had enough time to decorate it and prepare for Avrria's welcome party before the young Sith came back.
When she had finished her preparations, she headed outside to watch for the Sith's return. Just the taxi speeder came into land. The Sith jumped out and grinned when she saw Aayla.
"Got it! What are you up to?" Avrria said as she approached the Agent.
"Come and see," Aayla encouraged. She led her young friend into her office to start the party.
