-Chapter One-
Third P.o.V
Once again, she was shackled to the wall. It was always like that...Pinned to those cursed bricks and displayed like a deer's decapitated head on a hunter's mantle. She stopped breathing as the sound of approaching footsteps caught her attention. They were light...If it was the warp, that meant they were leaving. She had heard them talking before, planning their attack. Her master called it the start of a new era-thought he could change everything with what he planned to do...
"Kurogiri, open a portal and get Paradox."
Shigaraki Tomura...
The girl took a shaky breath as her master's voice reached her ears. She followed him without question because she had to. She knows what they can do...It wasn't like she actually had a choice, anyway. He proved that by using his quirk on both her forearms and left leg. He may have replaced them, but she was still his property. He was in charge of everything involving her. That's how it always was and would most likely always be.
"Oh, you're already here. Good. It's time to go. Get her up," the leader ordered. The girl heard more footsteps, some rustling with restraints, then felt her body hit the floor. Still blindfolded, she was forced to her feet by the one they called Paradox. They taught her how to fight, as her master wouldn't allow her to learn any other human life skills which she picked up on her own. Nevertheless, Paradox was her teacher. They were also the one that brought her into the hellscape known as the Villain League's hideout.
"Put this on," her master ordered as he shoved a cloak into her hands. It was used to cover up her face until she was put to use.
"Today is your big day..." Shigaraki said smugly into her ear. She narrowed her eyes slightly.
"This is the day you will prove that you're worth keeping alive."
"I've got some of the new recruits going in. We let a few more pour through and then we'll follow," the warp villain named Kuroguri sat down the glass he had been washing. The girl slipped on the cloak then was led towards the warp gate that Kurogiri opened. She felt her breath hitch as she was pushed through. When the blindfold was taken off, she blinked, letting her senses adjust to the sight of the outdoors. They were in a building that was large and dome-shaped. The teen looked straight ahead to see a group of students huddled together...All of them seemed to be around her age.
The girl raised an eyebrow as something cold lock onto her wrists with a click. She looked back and out of the corner of tired eyes, could see that Paradox had activated their quirk, became invisible, and put handcuffs on her. The League clearly didn't want to risk anything.
"Let's go," Shigaraki ordered. His pet looked around, realizing how many recruitments were standing around them. All of this for one man...
"Come on," the villain began walking. The girl's eyes followed him for a moment before an unseen force pushed her forward. Paradox, of course, was signalling that they were always watching. The silver-haired teen narrowed her eyes as she stopped moving.
"Look at this, pet..." her master's tone led her to believe that he was genuinely excited. As she followed his line of vision, she found what was making him so happy...UA's Class 1-A was standing before us. All of them looked to be my age. They were terrified.
'That's good...' she thought. It was more of a mental reminder.
"Paradox, take Sen-ri no Shi while I take down the obstacle," Shigaraki ordered. Paradox stared in his direction for a moment before grabbing the girl's cuffed arms and holding them tight. She silently watched Shigaraki approach the problem at hand as the name repeated itself in her mind.
'Sen-ri no Shi...'
It was more of a moniker than a name.
As many of the new villain recruits fell, the girl raised an eyebrow. They were dropping quickly and it took a second for her to realize who was causing it. Shigaraki approached the hero called Eraser Head. Kurogiri looked down to Paradox.
"Watch the girl. She can take care of some of the kids if needed," he instructed calmly before disappearing and reappearing near the UA students. Paradox let out a sigh, the most amount of noise ever heard from them.
'A long day...' the girl closed her eyes.
Later...
The explosions, the fire, the tense feeling in the air...It was confusing her senses and forcing adrenaline to rush through her veins. Paradox and the silver-haired teen were still standing in the same spot as when they showed up. The girl seemed to perk up with interest. Her master's opponent had just arrived.
All Might, the number one hero and symbol of peace, was here to save his students.
Of course, Shigaraki had expected every scenario...He was prepared and had brought a Nomu to fight for him. The empty-headed beast fought until All Might launched him into the sky.
"Go beyond! Plus Ultra!" the hero roared as Nomu flew into the atmosphere. Paradox's grip on the girl loosened as they watched the villain soar. The hidden resentment was easily detectable as All Might began to speak words of olden days-him getting weaker and whatnot. The silver-haired teen stood there, silently waiting for a purpose. Luckily, she wouldn't have to wait long.
"Midoriya!"
A new voice caught her attention. Cocking her head to the side, she let her dead eyes wander to the group of students on her right. Her face might have been obscured by the hood but they could still tell that she was looking straight at them.
"We need to go," a male with dual-coloured hair demanded sternly. Intrigue washed upon the hooded girl. She took a small step towards the kids and saw them tense up. Her eyebrow lifted slightly with interest.
"M-Midoriya," one boy with spiky, red hair called. The green-haired one closest to her turned to the girl with a horrified look and tears in his eyes.
"Mi...dori...ya..." she repeated in a voice so quiet that the boy could barely hear her. She saw the fear and worry in the boy's eyes and stopped, wondering if they were enemies, too. She turned back to look at Paradox, only to find that they were gone. She didn't know why she expected anything else.
"What the hell do you want, freak?!" a boy with blonde hair shouted. The girl tilted her head to try and see their faces better. They had been able to get Kurogiri at one point and that made her wonder if they could preoccupy her. Taking a few steps forward, she got closer, apparently making the kids go on red alert.
"S-Stay back," the green-haired one demanded. Instead of keeping her distance and being safe, the female got closer. All four of the boys froze as the girl scanned their faces, stopping on the one with dual-coloured hair. She stepped closer to him.
"That's far enough," the muscular red-head stepped in-between her and the two-tone-haired boy. Before he could react, the girl reached out and rested her hand on his chest. When she pulled away, the redhead clenched his teeth and howled as an intense pain from his shoulder immobilized him. The teens behind him either gasped or narrowed their eyes. Apparently unphased, the female continued to approach the boy with dual-coloured hair.
"Familiar..." she mumbled. A bead of sweat rolled down his forehead as his eyes widened slightly. The girl examined the burn on his face, which caused her attention to draw itself to his heterochromatic eyes. She reached her hand out to touch him but was stopped by an explosion going off next to her head.
"Back off, creep," the loud blonde growled. The teen gave him an interesting look. The students only found out she had done something when Bakugou hissed and doubled over. The two-tone-haired boy in front of the small girl tensed up, realizing she was still his target. The green-haired boy a few feet away from him was too afraid to move.
"Who are you?" he asked in a deadly tone. The girl reached out slowly and gently put a hand above his heart. He waited for something to happen but nothing did.
"Hurt..." his eyes widened slightly at her words.
"Todoroki...!" the redhead called through his clenched teeth. He and the blonde were still no the ground but the pain was starting to subside.
"Cause...?" the girl asked. Confused, the boy in front of her grabbed her hand and threw it back towards her. Still, she was insistently asking for an answer.
"Cause. What is...cause?" she asked. The thoughts of the kids were interrupted by the sound of Shigaraki scratching his neck. It was grotesque but the girl's mind focused on it. She stood up straight and felt a chill run down her spine, the sound like a ringing bell that beckons the servants in a palace. Unconsciously, she began walking to him. She froze when her master's eyes darted to her, almost ripping out her soul with its intensity.
"Ah, I almost forgot about you," he seemed to be smiling as he stretched his hand towards the girl. She slowly approached him. He wrapped an arm around her shoulder and chuckled.
"This is my secret weapon," Shigaraki put his head on top of hers. She narrowed her eyes slightly as she saw All Might tense up. He assumed a fighting stance and Shigaraki snickered.
"Whatever it is, I can take it. There's nothing you villains can throw at me that I can't hit back!" the big man roared in his booming voice. The girl closed her eyes gently, the volume of the hero starting to hurt her ears.
Her master discretely removed her handcuffs, "I know..."
"Take off the hood."
The girl did as she was told and removed her hood, revealing her face. All Might's eyes widened a bit as shock took over his facial expression. He clenched his fist and creased his eyebrows in confusion.
'She's just a kid...' he mentally snapped. The young girl was small, maybe a little shorter than Asui, and very thin. Her straight hair fell down her back messily, parts of it sticking together with what seemed to be dirt, sweat and possibly blood, the same substance smudged on certain areas of her sickeningly pale face. The aquamarine irises of her unamused eyes seemed to glow, leaving their luminosity to be the only thing that kept them from looking completely dead.
Shigaraki snickered, "This here is my little pet. I call her Sen-ri no Shi." He dryly cackled as he grabbed a fistful of the girl's hair and pulled, forcing her head to snap back. Her only reaction was a pained twitch from her left eye. All Might and the UA students behind him, including the two boys that were starting to compose themselves again, were disturbed by the fact that the girl simply let him manhandle her. Shigaraki pulled harder on her hair and she only shut her eyes.
"Did you know that her name translates to a thousand deaths? This little girl, right here, is going to help me bring down this so-called heroic society you repeatedly fail to protect," he explained, shaking the girl a bit to prove a point. All Might narrowed his eyes. When the girl was let go of, she silently stood with the expression of a broken doll plastered on her face. She might as well have been dead...
"You don't know how long it took me to get her. Had to run through some tough obstacles but, in the end, it was worth having this heartless killer on our side," Shigaraki ranted, ignoring the fact that no one wanted to hear it.
"She even came with some character customization," the villain snickered as he put a hand on top of her head, one finger daring to drop but simply hovering there.
"Enough!" All Might shouted, clearly agitated and still sweating from his fight with Nomu. He was still healing from that battle as it had taken more out of him than he thought. Shigaraki shrugged.
"What's important now is how she's going to beat you to death," the villain cackled. Emotionlessly, the girl in front of him took a single step forward.
"She's a kid!" All Might was still baffled. Shigaraki narrowed his eyes.
"Exactly."
With a lightning-fast speed that made her look like a blur, the girl launched herself towards All Might. She appeared behind him, swiftly put a hand on his back and tugged. A thin, teal-coloured aura connected her fingertips to the hero. She moved her fingers as if she was operating a marionette, the movement ending with a flick of her wrist. Suddenly, All Might was jerked back. He let out a pained groan, his older body not meant to move that way.
'She could seriously harm me st this rate...' All Might thought as she pulled him around some more. She would force his limbs to move and bend unnaturally as well as twist him like a pretzel. The hero realized there was not a chance that he could make the villain call off his little terror and his own body couldn't handle much more of this type of movement. Then, he got an idea...
"She's young, she's fast and she's emotionless...Face it, old man, she's everything you aren't," Shigaraki began laughing as his pet beat All Might around.
"Young one, please listen..." he tried to appeal to the girl. Shigaraki said she was broken, heartless and void of all emotion but All Might knew there was something there. There had to be. She was still a child, after all.
"I know there is something inside of you that wants to get away from all of this," All Might's tone was kind and calm, barely loud enough for the girl to hear. She didn't hesitate before flipping over the man, lightly touching his left shoulder and clenching her fist tightly. The hero felt a searing pain run through his arm. He groaned and shifted his foot, balancing himself through the hurt and sudden dizziness.
"You...weren't always like this...I know. We could find...who you used to be...or create who you want to become..." the blonde hero offered through his heavy breathing. The girl paused. She stared at All Might with a hit of confusion. Then, Shigaraki snapped his fingers and her attention was drawn back to him.
"Good girl," the girl's master praised smugly as the small female retreated. She stood in front of Shigaraki, eyes now narrow with a small trace of indecision.
"That girl...has no right...to a life with you," All Might managed to mutter despite his fatigue. Shigaraki's eyebrows lifted slightly as he used his hand to pull the girl closer to him without putting down all five fingers. He felt her muscles tense at his touch but relax soon after.
"She has no one else to go to. Who else would care for her as I do?" he asked with a false sense of worry. All Might creased his eyebrows in anger.
"That's not caring," he stated.
Shigaraki narrowed his eyes, "I agree to disagree."
"Now, let's get the real show started..." the corners of his cracked lips lifted as he smiled.
"AK override."
Suddenly, the girl's eyes glowed brighter and she put her hands up to her head, clutching her head. She began shaking and tugging at her hair, causing All Might to frown. He watched her shut her eyes tight and hit her head repeatedly to stop the high frequency that only she could hear. After a few seconds, she froze. Her eyes turned hazy.
"Register command," the teen's voice had changed. It was now more monotone, inhuman and robotically void of emotion. Shigaraki cackled.
"Kill All Might," he ordered. The girl's breath hitched as the frequency returned. It was milder this time.
"Y-Yes, Master," she muttered, hesitancy clear in her voice that was now more human-like. This caused Shigaraki's smile to falter but nevertheless, his pet continued to enact his wish.
"Wait!" All Might shouted. Within seconds, the girl was right in front of him. She reared a fist back but the hero caught it before she could land a hit.
"This isn't what you want. If you let me, I can help you," he voiced the last part in a hushed voice. A single tear rolled down the girl's cheek as her master's command rang through her brain like a mantra.
Kill All Might. Kill All Might. Kill All Might. KILL ALL MIGHT.
'We could find who you used to be...or create who you want to become...'
The girl's eyes widened slightly, 'Who I...want to become...'
"Who...?" her voice cracked. Her head began to burn when she pushed back her master's order to make room for her own thoughts. She used her free hand to clutch her head tightly. Her small fist began to shake in All Might's hand.
"It's alright," the hero tried to calm her down, afraid she'd attack while he was still trying to recuperate from her last attack.
"Kill him, damn it!" Shigaraki shouted, growing impatient. The girl flinched. She had never disobeyed and the consequences of doing so were apparent. She furrowed her eyebrows as tears streamed down her face, some forming from the pain and some forming from the indecisiveness her brain was experiencing.
"Why do...I...I-I hurt you...?" her voice broke as she asked All Might an unanswerable question. She appeared behind him and tapped his back, moving her fingers again methodically. Before she could close her fist, something tackled her.
"All Might!"
'Young Midoriya...!'
"S-Stay away from him!" the green-haired boy demanded. The girl wriggled underneath him, attempting to touch his leg. Fortunately, he had her hands pinned down. She let out a blood-curdling scream, scaring the witnesses as her head burned with white-hot agony.
KILL ALL MIGHT. KILL ALL MIGHT. KILL ALL MIGHT.
A loud bang suddenly rang through the USJ. The girl's eyes darted towards Shigaraki as he fell down to the ground and the warp gate villain covered him. Her eyes widened.
"M-Master!" she hoarsely called.
"I-I'm sorry," the green-haired boy apologized as he sat on top of her, making sure her hands were far away from any living object. Her tears flowed harder but she seemed more confused than sad.
"Master? W-Where..master?" she asked in a faint whisper. All Might sighed as he looked up, noticing that both Kurogiri and Shigaraki were being captured by his fellow hero, Thirteen. He narrowed his eyes. The girl watched with wide eyes that were filled with horror and shock.
"M-Master..." she choked out through tears as All Might pulled her to her feet and gently held her up. Her breathing ceased as she felt a warm and gentle touch on her shoulder. She turned her head but didn't see anyone.
"Kaori."
"Name..." the girl mumbled, searching for the source. The green-haired boy that held her down gave her a worried look. When the USJ became quiet, the silver-haired girl looked back to where she last saw Shigaraki. He had disappeared but he wasn't captured...
"He's gone..." All Might explained, his body beginning to smoke. After a moment, the girl got over her shock and simply cried. If there was no context given, one might think that she had just lost someone close to her.
"You're safe, now," the UA boy explained. The girl looked up to him. She took a shaky breath before opening her mouth to speak but instantaneously falling out of consciousness.
I'm thankful for all the love this story has gotten so far! I should be writing the second part to my other bnha story but I decided to put this chapter out first and post it a little early.
As always, thanks for reading, Loves!
