Welp...now they were on his bed, together.

Watching an anime, together.

If anyone from school saw them like this they would definitely be thinking that they were, together!

After a full 30 seconds of Takagi laughing her ass off at Nishikata's small breakdown, she had simply stood up and moved onto his bed. No permission, no hesitation - nothing! She just hopped right on like there wasn't a care in the world. He, of course, had many problems with this occurrence. For one, a girl was on his bed. And not just any girl, but Takagi-San! Second, she was expecting him to get on there with her. His face lit up brighter then a Christmas tree when she teased him over the smallest things, and now she expected him to GET IN BED WITH HER? Oh hell no.

But no, that obviously wasn't an acceptable outcome for Takagi; because when Nishikata had tried to sit on the floor in front of the bed, she proceeded to SIT OVER HIM and DRAPE HER LEGS OVER HIS SHOULDERS. Now he liked to think of himself as a classy, mature fellow. It was just her legs, no harm in that right?

Wrong.

The noise that escaped his lips when he felt her smooth legs on his chest...was indescribable. He was willing to bet Takagi could describe it though, because she had once again laughed hysterically at his displeasure.

To make matters even worse, when he had freaked out, he banged his head back against her..."stomach"...which made his face somehow get even more flushed then before. You'd think the boy had a fever.

To put it simply, it was bad. Very bad.

So bad in fact, that he decided it was much easier to get on the bed with her then to try and fight it any more. In short terms, he gave up, she had won once again.

He now sat. against his will. on the soft mattress in criss-cross formation - while Takagi layed on her stomach right next to him focusing on the show intently.

As his mind lingered from the show, he found himself thinking deeply of how much fun she must be having. Seeing him so flustered, having mini panic attacks every time she moved, Takagi was most definitely having a good time. Which was...good in its own right. But not for him, he seriously wished he had some secret to gaining confidence. That's all it took, maybe there was a way to train himself to not get embarrassed as easily.

But that wasn't it though, he was totally confident in front of others. Even other girls - he never got embarrassed the way he did in front of Takagi. In his mind he knows what he has to do, how he has to act, what he has to say, but whenever he actually proceeded with those thoughts it always resulted in himself getting all flustered the moment she retaliated against him.

What was wrong with him?

He assumed it had something to do with the fact that he had been staring at the girl for a solid four minutes - not once even glancing at the television screen. He focused on her hair, the strands falling down around her head with complete disorder. The familiar feeling of a blush clouded his senses - and all he could do was let it happen.

Was he blushing...because she was pretty?

...

Of course! Even Nishikata had to be lying to himself if he was gonna try and say Takagi wasn't beautiful. She was probably the prettiest girl in their grade, maybe even the entire school! One would have to be blind to deny facts.

But other girls were pretty too, and he never had trouble around them the way he did around Takagi. It was like she had an influence over him, that no matter what happened or what he said - he would always be the one to end up blushing. She would always be the one who ended up smiling, or giggling, or laughing of course. The trio de danger of Takagi's reactions.

So then what was it? What made her have this influence? Did he...like her?

"This is so depressing."

Snapping him away from his thoughts, Takagi's voice led Nishikata to glance up at her face, "What was that Takagi-san?"

"This part," She gestured to the screen where it showed the two main characters sacrificing their bodies to try and save their mother, "Their just kids but they're trying everything to bring back their mother. It's really depressing - and it shows how much they love her."

"Oh ya, of course," he looked over to the screen, "them sacrificing their bodies for their mom really show how much they treasure that connection to her. She...was really all they had in life and they...loved her more then anything. Enough to even risk their lives for her."

Takagi quickly glanced at Nishikata with curious eyes, but then looked towards the screen again, "I can tell why this show is so praised."

"Ya, definitely."

His gaze quickly fell to the back of her head once more.

To love someone so much that they would sacrifice their bodies just to try and save them.

This show was definitely amazing, it captured real emotion so perfectly. He couldn't help but linger back at what Takagi had said about their actions...

'it shows how much they love her'

How much they...love her.

Did he...love...Takagi?

His eyes glossed over as he lost himself in his mind. Love. What did that even entail? He had zero idea. It shows how much they love her...what shows how much he loves her? His blushing? That would explain it, but...was love the right term? Wasn't that a bit extreme?

"Haha!" Takagi laughed at a scene in the show.

His eyes widened as her laugh shot past his thoughts. It was so, pure. It was incredible.

Alright...maybe he did love her.

He thought back to the days they couldn't walk home together. How much he wanted to walk with her, how much it hurt to have to turn her down. That feeling...he didn't like that feeling of...being without her. Making her feel sad. He wanted her to be happy.

Ya...he definitely loved her.

"Well, that's episode 3," Takagi stretched out and rolled around so she was now laying on her back, "So Nishikata, why don't we have a little contest?"

"A contest," he gulped as she put her hands behind her head confidently, "Sure...what is it?"

"Let's see...why don't we both try and predict what's gonna happen to this scientist guy."

YES! This was his chance to finally win over Takagi! All he had to do was correctly predict this, which will be easy considering he has already watched this anime before! HAHA - Takagi has finally made a fatal error!

"Hmm, ok then," Nishikata inwardly chuckled at her flaw, "How about...I think he's gonna die."

Takagi's eyes widened for a split second, but then snapped back to her usual calm nature, "Really? Then I think he's gonna survive. We only just met him Nishikata, are you sure he'll die that fast?"

Nishikata playfully posed like he was thinking, "Well, I am feeling risky today so I'll stick with my answer." Takagi was about to meet her demise!

"Ok then, let's watch the episode and see!"

Around 25 minutes later

"HAHAHAHA! I WIN!" The boy practically screamed out in joy. His laughter continued as a certain brown headed girl silently shuffled herself on the bed.

Finally! He finally beat Takagi! He felt so happy - so accomplished! Maybe he would treat himself tonight and only do 2x the push-ups!

The boy was so high off of his win that he didn't seem to notice Takagi - who had crept up right next to him. Her mouth moved only centimeters away from his right ear, her breath shook him from his laughter. He didn't have time to turn to her however.

In the most seductive voice she could pull of, Takagi whispered, "You're a cheater Ni-shi-ka-ta."

"AAAAAAAH!" The boy's entire face lit up and he immediately fell off the bed.

"HAHAHAHA!" Takagi doubled over on his bed in pure laughter, "Ni-Nishikata! Are - HAHA! Are you okay?! HAHAHAA!" The girl was too busy laughing to form a full sentence - she tried to see if the boy was ok but couldn't stop laughing at his reaction.

"T-Takagi-san!" Nishikata jumped up with a beat red face, "No! I'm not okay!"

Finally coming down from her laughter, she pointed an accusing finger towards the boy, "It's not my fault you cheated Nishikata!"

His face grew angry, "W-What are you talking about!"

"I know you already saw this show before silly!"

Pure defeat washed over him, and as Takagi started to laugh once more - he simply slumped back onto the bed, again leaning against the wall and bringing a knee up to his chin. He had been genuinely happy too...

"Hey, Nishikata!" Takagi tapped the boys downcast shoulders with a smile, "Come on! Don't get upset, you can still count it as your win if you want."

He peered over to her, "That wouldn't make me a winner though."

"Well you did cheat Nishikata!" She scooted over to him causing him to nearly jump from the closeness, "Speaking of, why didn't you tell me you watched this before? We could have watched something else."

"I just," he sighed, "I like the show and you looked excited to watch it. I didn't mind watching it again."

Takagi nearly paused at his kind comment, but caught herself and smiled instead, "Well thank you Nishikata. But we can watch something else if you want, I really don't care."

Finally relaxing, Nishikata lowered his knee and shook his head, "No, I love this show anyway and I want to watch it."

She smiled wholeheartedly, "All right then, let's continue."

Nishikata had to seriously fight down his blush when she decided to sit right next to him, shoulder to shoulder, as she played the next episode.

Groggily opening his eyes, Nishikata immediately noticed a warmth pressing on the right side of his neck. It was...oddly pleasant.

His eyes peered to his right, and it took every single cell in his body to not immediately scream and jump away.

Takagi had fallen asleep, on top of him...
