The next day, Yoshiki woke up first at 6:30 and headed downstairs. He grabbed his toothbrush and looked around for the bathroom, finding it and went inside to brush his teeth. After finishing, he went outside and downstairs. He looked to see if Mom or Dad was up, and came face to face with his mother.

"Good morning mother." Yoshiki bowed and gave her a hug. She looked at him with approval, and gestured him to the kitchen, where he smelled something amazing.

"Smells nice?" she smiled as she saw him drooling.

"Smells amazing, mother." Yoshiki snapped back to reality and wiped off the drool. She smiled, and patted him on the head.

"It's a nice breath of air compared to Yuka and Satoshi. They're both hyperactive, but you seem calm." She praised him as she flipped the eggs and checked on the pancakes and bacon.

"Meditation helps." Yoshiki admitted, to which Mom nearly messed up the eggs.

"You meditate?" She looked at him incredulously. He nodded, and she clapped. "Oh, I like you already." Mom smiled and pointed to the fridge. "There's orange juice, apple juice, and a can of soda if you need it." Yoshiki shook his head.

"No thank you mother, I don't think soda is appropriate for this time of hour." Yoshiki told her. 'He'll be a great role model for Yuka.' She finished breakfast, and set it on the table. She stared at him, and pointed over to the food. He gulped, but resisted.

"Sorry, but I wish to eat it with everyone." Yoshiki apologized. His mother pat him on the back.

"Then go back to bed, they'll probably wake up at 10, since I'm not sending y'all to school." She smiled.
"And you?" Yoshiki asked. She pointed towards the TV.

"I'll be watching TV. I'll probably tune in to the news or something." She answered as Yoshiki looked a bit down. "You okay?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'm just remembering how I used to wake up early to watch TV in my parents home before they… well, kicked me out." Yoshiki explained. 'Damn, this kid is so polite, yet has a terrible life.' Mom thinks as she hands him the remote.

"Wanna watch cartoons or something?" she asked. He nodded, embarrassed. She smiled, and went upstairs. "Okay, I'll go catch some z's. Wake me up at 9, if you will?" She asked, and Yoshiki nodded. Yoshiki then turned on to the cartoons channel and lost himself for nearly 2 and a half hours. He noticed the time, and turned off the TV. He crept upstairs quietly, and entered his mother's room. Quietly and slowly, he shook her awake. She woke up, and smiled.

"Thanks." she said simply and walked downstairs to go watch TV. Yoshiki told her that he wanted to try and catch some sleep too. She nodded.

"God, I love this place." He muttered to himself as he entered Satoshi's room. He got an evil idea, but decided against it. He couldn't sleep for a full hour, and just walked over and woke Satoshi up, sick of trying to sleep.

"Pst." Yoshiki whispered as he shook Satoshi. He woke up, and looked at Yoshiki. He smiled, and greeted him.

"What time is it?" Satoshi asked.

"10." Yoshiki replied, and Satoshi freaked out. Yoshiki tried to calm him down. "Calm down, we're not going to school today, Mom said so." Satoshi calmed down and looked at Yuka. She was wrapped onto him tightly.

"Aww." Both of them said simultaneously. Yuka woke up, and looked at Satoshi. She hugged him and gave him a good morning kiss. She spots Yoshiki and thinks for a moment, before deciding to give him one too.

"Morning." She greeted the two of them, and went to brush her teeth. Yoshiki looks over to Satoshi.

"Does she usually do that?" Yoshiki asked. He nodded.

"Get used to that." he replied. Yoshiki smiled, and nodded. Once she was done brushing her teeth, Satoshi went to brush his teeth, and looked expectantly at Yoshiki when he just started heading downstairs.

"Forgetting something?" He asked. Yoshiki shook his head.

"I already brushed." He replied. Satoshi nodded, and the three of them walked down to see mother.

"Well well, what do we have here? Two sleepyheads?" She joked. They looked at her, expecting to correct herself. "Yoshiki was the only one to wake up early. We had a little talk, he watched cartoons, and instead of eating right away, he waited for you guys." She told them. The two looked at Yoshiki, wondering if it was true. He nodded, and Yuka gasped.

"Woah, we did not expect anyone to wait." Yuka said, Satoshi nodding in agreement. Yoshiki shrugged, and his stomach growled.

"I'm not waiting much longer, I'ma go wake up dad so we can all eat." Yoshiki told them as he headed upstairs. Yuka nodded in approval. Satoshi, nodding in respect.

"He'll be a better role model to you than I will." Satoshi told Yuka, who snickered.

"You aren't wrong." Yuka agreed, and Yoshiki came downstairs with Mr. Mochida, staring at his family.

"You all waited for me? How kind." Dad said. Satoshi and Yuka started to protest, saying that it was actually Yoshiki, but Yoshiki cut them off.

"Yeah, we all wanted to wait and eat with you, but you were kind of taking a while… sorry I woke you up early." Yoshiki apologized, and bowed. Satoshi and Yuka following his example. Dad nodded in approval.

"Yoshiki, I don't know what magic you're working, but whatever it is, don't stop." Dad jokes and goes to the table to dig in. Yuka and Satoshi both whispered: "Thanks, Yoshiki, he actually praised us." Yoshiki nodded, and Mom smirked.

"I won't say a word." She mouthed, which they mouthed: "Thanks." In return. They all digged in and devoured their food, Yoshiki at first trying to eat civilized, but dad whispered to him.

"Look man, we don't care how you eat at breakfast, eat how you want." Yoshiki nodded, and proceeded to devour his food in a matter of moments, losing himself to the food. Everyone went wide eyed, as Yoshiki stretched, satisfied.

"MAN, that was amazing, mom. Thank you." Yoshiki thanked and picked up his tray and washed it thoroughly. Yoshiki then washed his hands and sat back down to the dining table. Satoshi and Yuka finished at the same time, and both thanked mom for the dinner, though not as enthusiastically as Yoshiki. They then went to wash their plates together, and Dad poked him.

"Yoshiki, you are a complete role model for your siblings. Thanks, bud." Dad smiled, and his mother also smiled at him as well. He smiled back and bowed.

"Thank you for giving me the opportunity to stay here with you." Yoshiki thanked, and excused himself from the table and went upstairs, something that surprised mom and dad. Usually, they ran upstairs with nothing but a second thought, but he excused himself. They were both impressed, and even more dumbfounded when Yuka and Satoshi did the same thing.

"Those kids are completely different now that Yoshiki is here." Mom whispered. Dad nodded, approvingly.

"So, what do you want to do, Yoshiki?" Satoshi asked, to which Yoshiki shrugged.

"I don't know what you two do here, I've just slept, watched TV and ate a delicious breakfast. Are we allowed to go outside?" Yoshiki asked, and they both nodded. He gave a thumbs up, and hopped on his bed and searched through his duffel bag. He then pulled out a wad of cash. "Whoever can catch this, can keep it I guess." Yoshiki told them as he threw it up. Yuka got hold of the wad of cash before Satoshi could move, and cheered.

"Darn." Satoshi sulked. Yuka thanked Yoshiki and hugged him. She then ran into her room. Satoshi raised an eyebrow at Yoshiki.

"Why'd you bet your money?" Satoshi asked. Yoshiki shrugged and tossed another wad of cash to Satoshi as well.

"Well, I've saved a lot of money, and not a lot to spend it on. I cancelled my lease in the apartment, so all the money I get is mine to use or save. So I thought, hey, might as well share." Yoshiki told him, and Satoshi kind of understood. Yoshiki searched through his bag and found dirty clothes to put on. Satoshi stopped him.

"Look man, you just gave me a wad of cash, the least I can do is give you some of my clothes." Satoshi said, insisting. Finally, Yoshiki gave in, and chose an outfit of clothing that he particularly liked.

"You have no idea how glad I am for you taking that. I never liked that outfit, but I didn't want to throw it out." Satoshi told him. Yoshiki laughed, and put on his shoes and walked downstairs.

"Oh, going out? Be safe." Mom warned before kissing him on the cheek. Yoshiki smiled and bowed.

"Thank you mom, I will." Yoshiki promised as he stepped outside. Satoshi and Yuka also went out, and kissed mom goodbye. They stepped outside and walked around town. They bought some cool stuff, mainly for Yuka, but Yoshiki bought himself a pair of new clothes, and Satoshi bought a big pack of gummy worms for them to all share, though the two boys both knew that they would just give it to Yuka. The end of the school day was near, so they waited close to the gate to greet their friends.

"Should I…?" Yoshiki asked. Satoshi and Yuka nodded, and Yoshiki gulped. "I had a feeling." He muttered as Naomi, Seiko, and Ayumi passed by. They waved, and the three ran up to the Mochida family.

"Yoshiki! Satoshi! Yuka! Why didn't you come to school today?" Seiko asked. Satoshi looked at Yoshiki, but he suddenly seemed very interested in a 'cool cloud.'

"Yoshiki, come on." Satoshi slightly pleaded. Yoshiki sighed, and caved in.

"Alright, I just got adopted to the Mochida family." Yoshiki simplified it. It still was a big bombshell for all three of them.

"Woah. So the three of you are… siblings?" Seiko asked. They all nodded, and Seiko smiled. "Cool." She started talking to Yuka, which left Naomi and Ayumi the opportunity to talk to them. They were just too nervous. Yoshiki initiated the conversation with Ayumi, as if they were the best of friends. Satoshi just stood there uncomfortably, and Yoshiki got so annoyed that he had to apologize to Ayumi for cutting her short. He walked towards Satoshi, purposely bumping into him and apologizing to Naomi.

"Sorry, I need to ask him something." Yoshiki apologized and took Satoshi to a corner where nobody else can hear them. "Satoshi, you do know that you have to talk, right? Damn." Satoshi nodded, and with that, Yoshiki walked back to Ayumi to talk, and Satoshi tried to do the same. It ended better that he expected, and they had a decent conversation.

"Yeah sure, wanna do…tomorrow, 3:00?" Ayumi asked. Yoshiki nodded. "Cool, cya later then." Yoshiki waved goodbye, and smiled to himself. He looked over to Seiko and Yuka, and they gave him a thumbs up. They overheard, didn't they? Oh whatever. He gave a thumbs up back, and high-fived Seiko. He facepalmed when he sees that Satoshi is failing miserably. Naomi seemed to enjoy their conversation though. Does she think that his flustering is cute? 'Wait. Oh my god, I never should have interfered.'

"Huh, would you look at that. Satoshi is actually a genius." Yoshiki realized. It hit him like a brick,

"Hmm?" Seiko looked at him in confusion, but then it hit her too. Yuka was the only one still confused. So Yoshiki had to explain.

"You see, Satoshi knows that Naomi sees his flustering as cute, so he's purposely making a fool out of himself. She finds it adorable from him." he explains, and her eyes widen.

"Woah, Onii-chan is that smart?" She asks in awe. Yoshiki nodded..

"I gave him too little credit, it seems. He just walked away with a date." He said as Naomi walked away and Satoshi joined them.

"So, wanna go eat somewhere, Yoshiki, Yuka?" Satoshi asked them as if nothing happened. Yoshiki just looked at him dumbfounded. 'Whatever, it's none of my business when it comes to his love life.' he thought. He nodded, and looked at Yuka. She was hungry again, so she nodded as well.

"Seiko, wanna tag along?" Yuka asked. Seiko thought about it for a moment, before declining.

"Nah, I gotta go find Naomi. She promised me that we were going to repair our bikes afterschool, so that's what we're going to do. Cya." Seiko waved goodbye to them. They waved back goodbye. They entered a popular burger joint, where Yuka ate 3 burgers before getting full. Meanwhile Yoshiki and Satoshi only ate one.

"Alright, let's go back home." Satoshi tells them. They nod in agreement. They get home, and greet mom and dad. They waved back, and the three kids went upstairs. Yoshiki laid on his bed, and rested for a bit. Satoshi didn't want to disturb him, and neither did Yuka, so they didn't wake him up. Instead, they started chatting about Yoshiki.

"Onii-Chan, is he usually like this?" Yuka asked Satoshi. He shook his head, almost laughing.

"You couldn't keep Yoshiki out of trouble, but he seems like a new person. Personally, I feel that he just acts the way he does at school to look cool. He's a big old softy at heart, I suppose." Satoshi theorized. they just stared at Yoshiki, waiting for him to wake up. Finally, after an hour or 2, Yoshiki wakes up, and promptly yells when he sees Satoshi and Yuka, mere inches away.

"Hahah!" Yuka and Satoshi laughed, and Yoshiki really felt annoyed, but it soon washed away, and was replaced with happiness. 'So this is what actual siblings feel like. Heh, maybe I should go talk to Miki and show her… what Yuka and Satoshi are showing me.' Yoshiki was lost in thought, but looked at Satoshi and Yuka. 'Yeah, I'll definitely give her a hug for all the love she's shown me.' Yoshiki smiled to himself, which didn't go unnoticed by Yuka.

"Hey Yoshiki, what's wrong? You're smiling. We didn't actually make you smile, did we?" Yuka looked slightly hopeful, and Yoshiki noticed this as well. He laughed, and nodded his head. Yuka smiled happily, and Satoshi smirked.

"Hey Yoshiki, can I talk to you about something?" Satoshi asked. Yoshiki nodded, confused. "You wouldn't happen to have a sibling, would you?" Yoshiki looked down, and nodded. Satoshi winced at this, and bit his tongue for a moment. Yuka, however, didn't restrain at all.

"Ooo, I know! Onii-chan, you want to adopt Yoshiki's sister as well?" Yuka asked. Satoshi slowly nodded, realizing that his sister is getting smarter and aware. Yoshiki scoffed, but not angrily.

"That's not going to happen. No way in heck will my biological parents relinquish my sister to a family that I'm in. They may be shi- terrible parents, but they're not that bad to leave their daughter." Yoshiki told Satoshi. Satoshi sighed, and Yuka looked disappointed. "Besides, I doubt that your family will want another child. They were kind enough to me, but I doubt that their kindness will prevail again." Yoshiki pointed out, only to get a smirk from Satoshi and a slightly ticked off look from Yuka.

"No, who do you think gave me the idea to ask? Mom of course." Satoshi explained. Yoshiki looked flabbergasted.

"They did? Huh. That's nice, but Miki probably won't come here, mom and dad are too strict. They see Miki as their only hope." Yoshiki explained. Satoshi and Yuka understood, and began to think. Yoshiki shrugged, and headed downstairs. He had barely gotten down the stairs when mom had appeared in front of him. She looked slightly excited.

"Yoshiki, do you have a younger sibling?" She asked hopefully. Yoshiki smiled, and nodded.

"Satoshi and Yuka had already asked, mom. Yeah I have a younger sister, Miki. She lives with my parents, they at least had that much of a heart. I doubt that you can convince them to let her stay with you. Sorry." Yoshiki admitted, and mom looked a little down, but she hadn't lost hope.

"Do you recall where they live?" she asked, slightly hopeful. Yoshiki nodded, and wrote down the address. He handed it over to Mrs. Mochida, and she walked over to Mr. Mochida. She handed him the paper, and they got ready to leave.

"Yoshiki, you and Satoshi are to take care of Yuka. We might be away for a bit." Dad told Yoshiki with a wink, and Yoshiki bowed. "You make us proud." And with that, he and Mom left out. Yoshiki went upstairs to tell Satoshi and Yuka about it, and Satoshi got a bit excited.

"Hey Yoshiki, mind if you take care of Yuka for just a few, while I go buy something?" Satoshi asked Yoshiki. He nodded.

"Yeah sure, need some money?" Yoshiki asked, to which Satoshi shook his head. Yuka plopped down on Yoshiki's bed, and Yoshiki joined her.

"Cya when you get back Onii-chan!" Yuka waved Satoshi goodbye. Satoshi waved back, and gave a thumbs up to Yoshiki. Yoshiki did the same. Satoshi leaves the room, and heads out, leaving Yoshiki and Yuka alone.

"So, Yuka, tell me. How's living with Satoshi? I've only lived here for a day," Yoshiki asked Yuka. Yuka thought for a moment, and smiled.

"Well, he's kind. He always makes an attempt to make me happy. But he's kind of a pansy. He needs bravery." Yuka told Yoshiki, and Yoshiki snickered.

"Heh, hearing that from you just about proves my thought. Thanks Yuka." Yoshiki smiled at Yuka, and got in a meditative position. Yuka looked in awe, and kinda blushed.

"Yoshiki, can you, umm… teach me how to meditate too?" Yuka stuttered. Yoshiki was caught off guard.

"Hmm, I never had a student. This could be fun. Alright, I'll teach you the art of meditation." Yoshiki got in a meditative position as an example, and Yuka copied him, with some struggle. Yoshiki then taught her how to clear her mind, and soon, they began to meditate. They meditated for a full hour, before Yoshiki started to speak.

"That will be all for today, Yuka. You did exceptionally well. You are a quick learner. Now, where is our brother? He said that he'd be back in a few…" Yoshiki wondered as the door opened and Satoshi called out that he was home. Yoshiki sighed, and Yuka stretched. Yoshiki got worried for his adoptive parents, so he had asked to talk to Satoshi privately.

"Hey Satoshi, mind if you cover me while I go check up on our parents?" Yoshiki sheepishly asked. Satoshi patted him on the back and gave him a thumbs up. Yoshiki put on a sweater, and giving a hug to Yuka, left the house. 'For your sake father, you better be as strong as I remember, because I'm coming, and I'm going to fuck your shit up.' Yoshiki quickly got those thoughts out of his mind, but he did think about them as he ran to the address as fast as he could. He rushed past Ayumi, Seiko and Naomi.

"Woah, where are you going in such a hurry?" Seiko asked a serious looking Yoshiki, blocking him. He balled up his fists.

'I'm going to bring some bastard who I called my father for 14 years into an inch of his life for the hell that he caused her, that's what. Get out of my way, Seiko.' he considered saying, but took a deep breath.

"I'm going to pay someone a visit, now, if you please." Yoshiki moved past her, but was met with resistance from Naomi.

"Well, from your tone and the fact that your fists balled up, it seems like you're gonna kill someone." Naomi laughed a bit at this, but stopped when he looked away. "You're not… planning to, right?" She asked, concerned. She was met with a hollow laugh.

"Where would that get me? In jail. I'd do a lot for mom and… well, that isn't important. Murder would be one of them, but I have better sense than that." Yoshiki reasoned, brushing past her and bolting. Ayumi couldn't even call his name out before he was gone.

"Huh, he seemed awfully serious. I'm worried for him." Ayumi mutters, and Seiko gets a big smile.

"Well, it sure sounds like you two are more than just friends." Seiko giggled, and Ayumi immediately started to argue while Naomi just sighed.

'Now you know what I feel every day. I do hope that you won't do anything reckless, Kishi- Mochida.' She thinks to herself, watching her friends argue back and forth.

For anyone who doesn't know. Yes, Yoshiki does have a sister. In his character introduction, it mentions as such. Just as Yoshiki is ready to go back to heavenly host with Ayumi, he thought about Miki and said that he wanted to see her one more time. She is an unseen character who is in middle school who wears her hair in a ponytail.
