For Chapter 2, the core four from FNaF 1 are finally gonna talk to The Puppet. I don't have anything else to say except... enjoy.

Feel free to leave a review and let me know what you think of this story so far. It would be really appreciated.

Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy are now reunited and they are currently on their way to talk to The Puppet. According to Golden Freddy (through talking in their heads), they can find The Puppet at the very center of the woods on top of a small hill. It didn't take long until the four animatronics were finally close to the hill. All that's left is to walk up. Along the way, the four decide to walk and talk, since there's nothing else they can do during their long walk. It felt like forever since the four of them were together.

"It was strange, I admit. The last thing I remember before I awoke, it was dark as night and wet as the ocean," said Foxy.

"And the next minute, here we are," said Chica. "No more checkered walls. No more bad pizza. No more smelling like blood. It's all sunshine and green trees."

"But we decided not to wonder about it. No point in driving ourselves crazy," said Bonnie. "Chica got herself a job. I got myself a music partner. Foxy's pursuing a pirate's dream. It's all good... well, until whatever The Puppet needs us for."

"She's come through for us in the past," said Freddy. "Our souls were bound to the pizzeria, but she helped us. She gave us purpose."

"Murdering security guards," Chica reminded.

"Oh, yeah," Freddy remembered unfondly.

"We were angry. Vengeful. And so was she. We can't be blamed for being unjustly murdered," Foxy justified.

"Still, if this is indeed the good afterlife, I feel kinda dirty being here," said Bonnie.

"Perhaps we were judged by our actions when we lived, not when we died," Foxy guessed.

"And The Puppet is here as well," said Freddy. "Still watching over all animatronics like the guardian she portrays herself to be, but we can trust her. All she wants is what's best for us. Even if it's vengeance or peace..."

All of a sudden, a yellow bear with a black hat and a black bow tie in a slumped over position appears out of nowhere, right in front of the four animatronics.

Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy jump and scream, startled by the sudden appearance of...

"Golden Freddy?!" Freddy exclaimed, shocked and briefly frightened.

"Yes, it's me," Golden Freddy confirmed.

"Don't do that," Chica pleaded, startled and a little mad.

"Well, now we know how the night guards feel," Bonnie commented.

"Why are you here, Golden Freddy?" asked Freddy. "You already told us where to find The Puppet."

"I forgot to mention one more thing. Do not approach The Puppet with haste. She hates being disturbed during her musical slumber," said Golden Freddy. "Wait for the music to stop. Wait for her to emerge from the box."

"You could've told us that earlier. You were talking in our heads," said Freddy. "Unless you just wanted to scare us."

The glint in Golden Freddy's left eye sparked a little, as if she was winking mischievously at them. Recovering from the jumpscare just became harder for the others due to the golden bear's unabashed response.

"Hey, wait, why are you still slumped over?" Freddy noticed. "Shouldn't you have been fitted with an endoskeleton of your own?"

"They tried, but it came at a cost," said Golden Freddy. "My powers of teleportation and telepathy vanish if I am whole. It was not easy, but I have chosen to remain a hollow shell. That way, I can keep my power."

Golden Freddy teleports away, leaving her friends back to her task. They were still reeling from the jumpscare. To think, they used to be on the delivery end of that kind of stunt.

"I guess Goldie misses the good old days," said Chica.

"She's always been the most aggressive of us," said Foxy. "And I thought that was me."

"Let's go," said Freddy. "We've kept The Puppet waiting long enough."

"Wait for the music to stop, Goldie said. No problem," Bonnie commented sarcastically.

Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy walk their way to the top of the small hill at the very center of Fazbear Woods. Near the edge of the hill is a familiar-looking music box. The Puppet's music box. As they were told by Golden Freddy, the four animatronics approach the music box slowly and carefully. They listen to the calming music emanating from the music box as they stop and wait. The music is rather nice. It definitely sounds like a child's lullaby. The music box was originally designed to keep The Puppet asleep. But in this new reality... The Puppet controls the music box.

The music speeds up to a familiar kid's tune as the box opens. Slowly coming out from inside the box is the animatronic guardian herself.

The Puppet.

The slender marionette rises from the music box and floats in the sky as she looks down at the forest below. The four animatronics nearby were still keeping quiet. Foxy wanted to speak, but Bonnie elbows him in the arm, telling him to wait for The Puppet to speak first.

"Wonderful view, isn't it?" The Puppet started.

Indeed it was. Seeing Fazbear Woods from the top of this hill just helps the animatronics appreciate the beauty of their new home even more. It's still surreal to see so much color and nature after being cooped up in several pizzerias.

"You're probably wondering what, why, and how," The Puppet guessed.

"Uh, yes," Foxy replied nervously.

"Well, allow me to tell you a story," said The Puppet. "Welcome to Faztopia. Forged 40 years ago under unknown and mysterious circumstances, this realm stands in between the paradise of light above and fiery damnation below. Any soul that has possessed an animatronic, when freed, will wind up here, whether the soul is real or artificial. I don't know why, but that is how it works. For decades, I have been able to travel back and forth between here and planet Earth. I have studied this land, trying to understand its creation and its purpose. Think of it as purgatory, but a much more colorful version of it."

"So, we are... dead?" asked Chica.

"Yes," said The Puppet. "Including me. A great fire has burned my soul away from the world of the living, and now I am trapped her like the rest of you."

"All those animatronics down there. Why are they still here?" asked Freddy.

"I gave every single one of them a choice. To stay here and live a lively afterlife or to move on up there," said The Puppet. "They've all chosen the former."

"So, what does this mean for us?" asked Bonnie. "Do we have to choose?"

"I don't have to ask you to choose, because I already know your answer," said The Puppet.

They want to stay here in Faztopia. Of course, they do. Why not? But if The Puppet doesn't want them to choose, then why did she ask for them to come here and speak to her?

"No, I called you for another reason," said The Puppet. "It's a dangerous task. I hate to ask you of this so soon after waking you up from your peaceful eternal slumber, but I need your help."

"What is it?" asked Freddy.

"Faztopia is in danger," The Puppet answered. "The danger comes from another realm. The Nightmare Realm. Like Faztopia, its creation is a mystery. All I know is that the Nightmare Realm houses monsters. Perversions of the very animatronics designed to entertain children."

"What, you mean like... Nightmare Animatronics?" asked Foxy.

"Precisely," The Puppet confirmed. "For so long, they have been trying to escape the Nightmare Realm and turn Faztopia into an extension of their nightmarish domain. For so long, they have been unsuccessful. But recently, they have broken through the barrier separating Faztopia from the Nightmare Realm. They're here and they are dangerous. They will slaughter any animatronic they come across. We cannot let that happen."

"Why not? Won't their souls just go up there and rest in peace?" asked Bonnie.

"The Nightmare Animatronics are fueled by dark magic. Dark magic that sends their victims into damnation. Think of the punishment as the fiery depths of down there, but one created by the Nightmare Animatronics," The Puppet explained.

"How do you know this?" asked Freddy.

"Because they already took one soul away from us," The Puppet answered sadly. "Have you heard of Endo-01?"

"No," said Freddy.

"His soul belonged to one of the security guards whose death we were responsible for," said The Puppet. "He was captured by the Nightmare Animatronics, tortured, and eventually destroyed. His soul never rested in peace. His soul is stuck in the Nightmare Realm forever. There is no way to save him or anyone who suffers his fate."

"What do you want us to do about it?" asked Freddy.

"Go down there. Investigate. Protect your fellow animatronics," The Puppet ordered.

"Why can't you do it?" asked Freddy. "You're the most powerful animatronic ever. How much trouble can these so-called Nightmare Animatronics for you?"

"Because I have other matters to attend to," The Puppet said in a cryptic manner. "Besides, you won't be powerless in this battle. Being reborn in this realm, it has granted each and every one of us with special abilities. I recommend finding some Bouncepots and Gearrats to practice your powers on. Don't worry. The fauna of this world work like the hydra. Remove one, another one takes its place. That is just the rules of this realm."

"So, this is war?" Freddy asked grimly.

"I wish it wasn't, but that's what it appears to be," The Puppet answered.

"What about Golden Freddy? Or the Toys?" asked Bonnie.

"The Toys are not ready, and Golden Freddy will be accompanying me on my personal endeavors," said The Puppet. "I do not wish harm upon you, but I need you. Will you help me?"

"Do we have a choice?" asked Freddy.

"You do, but the Nightmare Animatronics will force the choice upon us no matter what," said The Puppet. "Will you stand with me to protect this realm?"

Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy exchange thoughtful looks. Waking up into a new world only to be thrust into a war is not what they expected. Then again, they don't know what to expect since they woke up. They owe The Puppet. Their concerned, thoughtful facial expressions quickly change into determined expressions. They then nod at each other.

"We will help you," Freddy agreed.

The war begins. Well, it will begin if this story continues. I already have an outline and big moments planned, but first I need to know if you're interested in seeing me continue this. Please leave a review and let me know your thoughts on this story so far. I would appreciate it and it would motivate me to keep going. I mean, I want to keep going, but I also want to know if the people reading this story are interested.

Notes/Explanations:

1. Yes, I called Golden Freddy a "she." Ever heard of the Cassidy Theory? I did warn you to proceed with caution in case there might be some questionable theories involved in this story.

2. I love FNaF World's Fredbear. He's great. But I always thought it would be more fitting if The Puppet was the guide. She's the protector of the animatronics, after all. Well, that's her role in this story. She's the leader... president... overlord... guardian... whatever you wanna call her position.
